Abstract

Chronic Intermittent Hypoxia (CIH) can initiate oxidative stress and inflammation. Ficus carica is known to contain antioxidant compounds capable of suppressing oxidative stress. This study aims to investigate the protective role of Ficus carica puree (FCP) on the levels of Malondialdehyde (MDA), Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), SOD/MDA ratio, Platelet Lymphocyte Ratio (PLR), and Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α) in the lungs of rats induced by CIH. Rats were treated with FCP at doses of 1.25 ml/200g (CIH-F1), 2.5 ml/200g (CIH-F2), and 5 ml/200g (CIH-F3). All rats, except for the neutral control group, were subjected to chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH) for 4 hours/day for 30 days. The CIH-F2 and CIH-F3 groups demonstrated significantly lower levels of lung MDA compared to the CIH group. The CIH-F3 group showed a considerably lower level of lung SOD compared to the CIH group. However, the SOD/MDA exhibited a considerably greater value in the CIH-F3 induction group compared to the other groups. The TNF-α in lungs and PLR levels were significantly lower in the CIH-F3 group than in the CIH group. These findings suggest that FCP may serve as a functional food to mitigate the negative impact of hypoxic circumstances on lung health.

Abstract

GRDP in Lampung province is still experiencing fluctuations, which has increased from 2013-2019. Then, in 2020 GRDP will decrease and will increase again in 2021-2022. The research method used is quantitative. The data source used in compiling this research is secondary data in the form of a time series, which was processed using EViews 10. Data obtained from BPS Lampung province includes data on the rupiah exchange rate, the value of CPO exports and the GRDP of Lampung province in 2013-2022. The results showed that partially, the rupiah exchange rate variable had a positive and significant effect on the GRDP in Lampung province in 2013-2022, and the CPO export value variable had no significant effect on the GRDP in Lampung province in 2013-2022. Meanwhile, the f (simultaneous) test shows that the rupiah exchange rate and the value of CPO exports jointly affected GRDP in Lampung province in 2013-2022. GRDP, in the perspective of Islamic economics, will affect tax revenues by increasing waqf, zakat, alms and other income taxes which will have a good impact because increasing regional revenue is expected to increase welfare and economic growth.

Abstract

Abstract

Gampong Teungoh Village, located in Meurah Mulia Subdistrict, North Aceh, has experienced a decline in community income due to damaged irrigation systems that hinder agricultural activities during the dry season. This condition has prompted some residents to shift toward home-based businesses (home industry) as an alternative economic strategy. However, limited digital literacy and underdeveloped marketing approaches remain major obstacles to the growth of these enterprises. This community service initiative employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, utilizing field observations, semi-structured interviews, and direct training. Students from KPM Group 12 conducted visits to two home industry units—peyek kacang (peanut cracker) and tofu production—and implemented a training program on using Instagram as a digital marketing tool. The results indicate that business owners can manage production independently yet face challenges in reaching broader markets. The introduction of Instagram as a promotional platform successfully enhanced digital engagement, expanded consumer reach, and strengthened the branding of local products. Entrepreneurs began receiving orders through social media, demonstrating increased confidence in utilizing technology. Digital marketing through social media has proven to be an effective strategy for improving the competitiveness of home industry products. Simple technology-based interventions can have a tangible impact on strengthening the local economy. Abstract

Nocturnal insects are insects that are active at night. Nocturnal insects tend to have sharp vision, hearing and smell abilities at night. Penda Emas (Xanthostemon chrysanthus) is a flowering plant that produces nectar so that it is often attacked by various insects. Light trap is used as a nocturnal insect trap because insects are attracted to light and fragrant aromas. This research aims to identify nocturnal insects on Penda Emas plants (Xanthostemon chrysanthus) by looking at their body morphology. This research uses descriptive and qualitative methods. This method is an exploratory survey where research is carried out directly in the field. The tools used in this research were basins, lamps, insulation, raffia rope, tweezers, jars, scissors, styrofoam, needles, petri dishes, glass objects, microscopes, cameras, vials, jars, plastic and cotton. Meanwhile, the materials used are water, soap, chloroform and alcohol. The results of this research were that 10 insect species were found from 6 orders, namely the Hymenoptera order including the Tawon Kertas Dunia Lama (Ropalidia marginata), Semut Api (Solenopsis sp.), and Tawon Parasitoid (Meteorus sp.), then the Dyptera order including the Agas Jamur (Bradysia trivittata), Nyamuk (Aedes sp.), and Lalat Daging (Sarcophaga carnaria), Order Lepydoptera namely the Ngengat Hitam species (Neumichtis sp.), Order Isoptera namely the Laron species (Coptotermes sp.), Order Coleoptera namely the Kumbang Mawar Cina species (Adoretus sinicus), and the Order Trichoptera, namely the Nyamuk Mikro species (Agraylea sp.).
