Abstract

This research is a survey research to find out the opportunities and challenges of online learning in West Sumatra. A total of 227 students were randomly selected from two universities in West Sumatra as research participants. By conducting in-depth interviews, information was obtained about students' views on online learning in West Sumatra. An unstable internet network is a major problem for students to take online learning. Online learning opportunities in West Sumatra, namely: online learning provides benefits because it is more flexible and can be followed anywhere and anytime, students can carry out learning while entrepreneurship or work, and various educational institutions in West Sumatra with their quality have the potential to be able to keep up with the times by carrying out online learning in a more planned and programmed way. The challenges of implementing online learning in West Sumatra, namely: provincial and local governments need to provide internet services widely and reach all regions in West Sumatra, students need to be educated to be able to become independent learners from an early age, teachers need to design accessible learning content by students and must be by the needs of students, and the government needs to make efforts to provide extensive library services that can be accessed online.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity and reliability of the Metacognition Growth Questionnaire in writing. Using a quantitative approach, measurements were made of the metacognitive growth questionnaire, which was developed based on the metacognitive process theory, which consists of three, parts: the process of raising awareness, the process of monitoring/evaluating, and the process of controlling/regulating. A total of 30 students were randomly selected to be used as test subjects for the questionnaire instrument. The validity of the questionnaire items is known by using the bivariate product-moment correlation test. The reliability of the questionnaire is known by using Alpha Cronbach. The results showed that as many as 40 questionnaire items were declared valid, and overall, the questionnaire items were declared reliable. Thus, as many as 40 questionnaire items can be used to measure of students' metacognition growth in writing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia berbasis home schooling dalam menumbuhkan kedisiplinan peserta didik sekolah menengah pertama era pandemi Covid-19 di Lingkungan Desa Gemantar. Jenis Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah anak yang sedang menempuh pendidikan jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini ini ialah wawancara, angket, observasi, pengkajian teori, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini berupapembelajaran bahasa indonesia dengan berbasis home schooling merupakan pembelajaran yang fleksibel dan membuat peserta didik semakin disiplin dalam proses belajar mengajar. Abstract

This activity is carried out to provide training in writing scientific articles worthy of publication in scientific journals. The method used is the lecture and question and answer method. From these activities, it was found that there were three weaknesses in writing scientific articles, namely: weaknesses in presenting research results in the form of scientific articles, grammatical problems, and not understanding paraphrasing techniques in writing. These three things can be overcome by frequent writing practices because writing requires practice not theory, increasing interest in reading scientific articles to be familiar with article models worthy of publication, and by itself will be accustomed to criticizing previous research findings.

Abstract

ABSTRACTWriting research articles has become an absolute obligation for lecturers, researchers, and students to publish their research results. A total of 21 participants attended a scientific article writing workshop and attended an article writing coaching clinic. In addition, a survey was conducted to determine the metacognitive knowledge of the workshop participants in writing articles. An in-depth analysis of the workshop participants' articles shows the effect of metacognitive knowledge in writing articles. The results of the analysis of the metacognitive knowledge questionnaire showed that the metacognitive knowledge of the workshop participants was high. However, this needs to be supported by frequent practice in writing. To develop metacognitive knowledge in writing articles, several solutions are given, namely: being able to plan writing well and systematically, making small notes when understanding the sources read to facilitate paraphrasing and quotations, and using certain applications to facilitate citations and writing references for avoiding plagiarism. In addition, writing articles continuously and publishing them helps the development of metacognitive knowledge in writing scientific articles.Keywords: scholarly text, workshop, metacognitive knowledge, writing

Abstract

Pembelajaran menulis teks yang dilaksanakan di sekolah menengah bertujuan agar siswa memahami konteks dan mampu menulis dalam berbagai genre. Penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang tepat merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar menulis siswa. 128 siswa dengan kemampuan serupa dipilih secara acak untuk belajar menulis. 64 siswa pada kelas kontrol mengikuti menulis dengan metode konvensional dan 64 siswa lainnya pada kelas eksperimen mengikuti menulis dengan flippedclassroom. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengelompokkan siswa menurut genre teks tertulis dan berdasarkan gender. Untuk mengetahui keefektifan metode digunakan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar yang signifikan antara pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan dengan metode konvensional dan flipped classroom. Metode konvensional terbukti kurang efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks, sedangkan metode flippedclassroom terbukti cukup efektif. Ditinjau dari genre teks yang ditulis siswa, flippedclassrooms lebih efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksposur dibandingkan teks persuasi. Dilihat dari jenis kelamin siswa, model flipping class lebih efektif diterapkan pada siswa perempuan dibandingkan siswa laki-laki. Dengan demikian, Flipped Classroom dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks. Selain itu, budaya Minangkabau yang dijadikan konteks penulisan juga memberikan kemudahan bagi siswa laki-laki maupun perempuan untuk menuliskan idenya dalam berbagai genre teks. Dilihat dari jenis kelamin siswa, model flipping class lebih efektif diterapkan pada siswa perempuan dibandingkan siswa laki-laki. Dengan demikian, Flipped Classroom dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks. Selain itu, budaya Minangkabau yang dijadikan konteks penulisan juga memberikan kemudahan bagi siswa laki-laki maupun perempuan untuk menuliskan idenya dalam berbagai genre teks. Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity and reliability of the learning strategy questionnaire instrument used during the Covid-19 pandemic. By using a quantitative approach, measurement of the learning strategy questionnaire was developed based on six language learning strategies, namely: cognitive strategies, memory strategies, compensation strategies, metacognitive strategies, affective strategies, and social strategies. A total of 17 students were randomly selected to be the test subjects of the learning strategy instrument. By using SPSS 23, the bivariate product moment correlate test was used to determine the validity of the questionnaire items and Cronbach's Alpha test to determine the reliability of the questionnaire. The results showed that as many as 124 questionnaire items were tested on respondents, it was found that 92 questionnaire items were declared valid and overall the questionnaire items were declared reliable or consistent. Thus, as many as 92 items of this learning strategy questionnaire statement can be used to measure the types of language learning strategies used by students, both for online learning and face-to-face learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACTDifferentiated learning is still a new phenomenon for Indonesian language teachers who are members of the MGMP SMP/MTS Bahasa Indonesia Gugus II Kabupaten Sijunjung. Differentiated learning is still not used massively and not all classes use the Independent Curriculum. Teachers experience obstacles in implementing differentiated learning because the Independent Curriculum is still not used for every level of education. After providing the program material, a question and answer session was held with the teacher and it was discovered several challenges faced by teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum, namely: teachers must know the various characteristics of students, teachers must prepare diagnostic and formative assessments at the beginning of learning, and teachers must use various sources. One effort that can be made to map students' learning needs is to use a reflective journal. Reflective journals have been widely used for reflection and self-expression for various needs, thinking, and improving learning. The main strengths of reflective journal writing are introspection and reflection. This reflection is carried out by answering several guiding questions. These guiding questions are useful for helping students remember what they have done, the obstacles they have faced, and the efforts they have made to overcome anything that hinders their learning progress.Keywords: Differentiated learning, learning needs mapping, reflective journal  ABSTRAKPembelajaran berdiferensiasi masih menjadi fenomena baru bagi guru-guru Bahasa Indonesia yang tergabung dalam MGMP Bahasa Indonesia SMP/MTS Gugus II Kabupaten Sijunjung. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi masih belum digunakan secara massif dan belum semua kelas menggunakan Kurikulum Merdeka. Guru mengalami kendala dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi karena Kurikulum Merdeka masih belum digunakan untuk setiap jenjang pendidikan. Setelah pemberian materi program, dilakukan tanya jawab dengan guru dan diketahui beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka, yaitu: guru harus mengetahui berbagai karakteristik peserta didik, guru harus menyusun asesmen diagnostik dan formatif di awal pembelajaran, dan guru harus menggunakan berbagai sumber. Untuk memetakan kebutuhan belajar peserta didik, salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan jurnal reflektif. Jurnal reflektif telah banyak digunakan sebagai sarana refleksi dan ekspresi diri dalam berbagai kebutuhan, berpikir, dan peningkatan pembelajaran. Kekuatan utama dari penulisan jurnal reflektif adalan introspeksi dan refleksi. Refleksi ini dilakukan dengan menjawab beberapa pertanyaan pemandu. Pertanyaan-pertanyaan pemandu ini berguna untuk membantu peserta didik mengingat kembali apa yang sudah dilakukan, kendala-kendala yang mereka hadapi, dan upaya yang mereka lakukan untuk mengatasi segala hal yang menghambat perkembangan belajar mereka.Kata kunci: Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, pemetaan kebutuhan belajar, jurnal reflektif

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Desa Bilebante merupakan salah satu desa di Pulau Lombok dengan berbagai potensi wisata yang perlu dikembangkan oleh akademisi universitas melalui sebuah program pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, Asosiasi Dosen Lintas Perguruan Tinggi Indonesia (ADLPTI) melaksanakan program pengabdian di Desa Bilebante dengan tujuan memberikan penguatan manajemen layanan pemandu wisata Desa Wisata Bilebante melalui pelatihan keterampilan public speaking. Metode yang digunakan adalah Focus Group Discussion (FGD), pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil program menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kecakapan keterampilan public speaking para pemandu wisata di Desa Bilebante. Secara umum, program penguatan kapasitas ini dapat mengembangkan kualitas Sumber Daya  Desa Bilebante sebagai desa wisata yang berpotensi mendorong perekenomian masyarakat desa. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menjadi alternatif untuk pengembangan desa wisata dalam meningkatkan manajemen dan tata kelola pariwisata daerah. Kata Kunci: desa wisata, desa Bilabante, public speaking, potensi wisata [English]: Bilebante Village is one of the villages on Lombok Island with tourism resources that need to be developed by academics through a community service programme. Therefore, the Asosiasi Dosen Lintas Perguruan Tinggi Indonesia (ADLPTI) carried out this community service programme in Bilebante Village, which aims to strengthen the service management of Bilebante Tourism Village tour guides through public speaking skills training. The methods used in this program were Focus Group Discussion (FGD), training and mentoring. The results show an improvement in the public speaking skills of the tour guides in Bilebante Village. Overall, this programme can develop the quality of Bilebante Village resources as a tourist village that potentially encourages the economic level of the community. This community service programme can be an alternative for developing tourism villages and enhancing regional tourism management. Abstract

Analisis wacana multimodal salah satu pendekatan dalam kajian wacana. Wacana yang muncul mengkombinasi teks, warna, dan gambar dikaji dalam wacana multimodal. Wacana multimodal dapat ditemukan salah satunya dalam sampul novel Ranah 3 Warna karya Ahmad Fuadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, dengan metode analysis content (analisis isi). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membongkar ideologi yang dipijak pengarang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kebudaayaan merantau anak laki-laki orang Minangkbau. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan "merantau” sebagai ideologi yang dipijak Ahmad Fuadi dalam karya novelnya.
