Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of excellent administrative services on student satisfaction at MAN 1 Pekanbaru. Using a quantitative approach with simple linear regression analysis, the study found that excellent administrative services contributed 74.1% to student satisfaction, as indicated by a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.741. The correlation test revealed a very strong and significant relationship between excellent administrative services and student satisfaction, with a correlation coefficient of 0.861 and a significance level of 0.000 (Sig. 2-tailed). These findings underscore the critical role of excellent services in improving student satisfaction, which also serves as an indicator of educational quality. Therefore, it is recommended that schools conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of their services to ensure sustained student satisfaction and continuous improvement in service quality.

In light of this, this study aims to examine the implementation and effectiveness of School-Based Management (SBM) during the Covid-19 pandemic at an Integrated Islamic Vocational School. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, employing field research methods such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants for this study were selected using Purposive Sampling, including key informants and supporting informants. The study's findings reveal that the Integrated Islamic Vocational School has successfully implemented school policies while prioritizing efficiency and effectiveness during the Covid-19 pandemic. The school has fostered effective teamwork to address challenges and navigate government policies, ensuring the continuity of the educational process and its acceptance by students. The implementation of SBM during this challenging period has demonstrated its efficacy in managing the school and optimizing available resources.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of rewards and punishments on teacher performance. The research involved 32 teachers, with data collected through questionnaires and documentation. The study used quantitative methods, including multiple linear regression analysis. Results indicated that rewards had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance (sig. 0.009 < 0.05), while punishments showed no significant effect (sig. 0.598 > 0.05). Both variables combined explained 32.1% of the variation in teacher performance (R² = 0.321). The theoretical implications suggest that reward mechanisms, as a form of positive reinforcement, are crucial in enhancing teacher motivation and performance, aligning with Skinner's reinforcement theory. The practical implications point to the importance of schools developing more varied and consistent reward systems while carefully managing punishments to avoid negative impacts on teacher morale. This study contributes new empirical evidence to the understanding of reward and punishment systems in public Islamic schools, providing insights into improving teacher motivation and performance through effective incentive management.
