Abstract

This research aims to explore 1) how archives are lent, 2) how archives are maintained, and 3) how archives are stored at SMA Muhammadiyah Bangkinang Kota. This research is qualitative with descriptive methods. Respondents included school principals, heads of school administration, administrative staff and teachers. The object of the research is archive management by administrative staff at SMA Muhammadiyah Bangkinang Kota. The research results show that 1) archival lending has been implemented well, but archival borrowing is still not optimal. The party authorized to retrieve archives at Bangkinang City Muhammadiyah High School is the head of the school administration and administrative staff, but this rule is conveyed verbally. 2) Archive maintenance is carried out by arranging the storage space so that the archives remain dry and bright, and archival documents are arranged loosely in filing cabinets so that air can enter. The school also has anti-smoking regulations to keep records safe. However, there are problems with storage facilities. 3) Archive storage uses a subject system, namely managing archives based on topics. Obstacles include a lack of special storage space and inadequate facilities.

Abstract

This research aimed at 1) Knowing the implementation of educational funding management through entrepreneurship development, 2) Know the contribution results of entrepreneurship development at Islamic Boarding School of Jabal Nur Kandis, Riau.  This research used qualitative method. The main informant of this research was school treasurer, and additional informants were the head of Islamic boarding school and person in charge of business unit.  The object of this research was Islamic Boarding School of Jabal Nur Kandis, Riau.  The findings of this research showed that one of the 1) Planning in funding at Islamic boarding schools was creating business units to assist Islamic boarding school operations. The implementation of education funding at Islamic boarding schools was in accordance with the needs every unit based on the principle of education finance.  The implementation of education funding in the form of recording incoming money from tuition fees, annual fees and from Islamic boarding school business units and outgoing money based on the budget for activities that have been planned.  Educational Supervision was conducted directly by the leadership and treasurer of the Islamic boarding school. 2) The results and contributions in developing entrepreneurship were focused on existing business units and a portion of the sales profit that would be allocated to assist Islamic boarding school operations.

Abstract

This study is entitled the role of management information systems for principals in decision making at Madrasah Tsanawiyah, Islamic boarding school Amanah Tarbiyah Islamiyah Rempak, Siak Regency. The objectives of this study: 1. To determine the characteristics of the education management system at MTs PP-Amti Rempak. 2. To determine the role of management information systems in supporting the principal's decision making at MTs PP-AMTI Rempak. 3. To determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of the management information system in supporting the principal's decision making. The method used in (Syamsudin n.d.) this study is qualitative with descriptive analysis. The main informant of this study is the principal, while the supporting informants are the administrative staff, the vice principal of curriculum, the vice principal of facilities and infrastructure and the coordinator of teaching and education personnel. With data collection, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. After the researcher analyzed with data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study stated that 1) the characteristics of the management information system have been applied. Starting from its human resources where this component is tasked with processing data in the position determined by the principal. Furthermore, for the hardware, it is supported by tools used to store and archive documents. Then for the software, it uses the EMIS application to process data. Then for the information system data resources, it can be arranged, stored, and accessed. And finally, for the communication network, it is equipped with a modem to access the internet. 2) In decision-making activities, the role of the educational management information system has helped the head of the madrasah, to obtain data and information related to facilities and infrastructure, curriculum and teaching and education personnel that can be used to help solve existing problems. 3) The supporting factors for the management information system in the principal's decision-making are human resources (HR) teachers and administrative staff who have met the teacher standards, namely bachelor's degrees. While the inhibiting factor is the lack of administrative staff in managing the management information system.

Abstract

FACILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT: STUDENTS' PERCEPTIONS OF THE QUALITY OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES AT STATE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 1 BANGKINANGFacilities and Infrastructure Management is the management and supervision of existing facilities and infrastructure in schools.  With good management of facilities and infrastructure, the existing facilities and infrastructure in schools can contribute more optimally to the quality of education in schools. The success of education quality in schools is supported and influenced by the effective and efficient use of all educational facilities and infrastructure in schools.  This research aimed at finding out the influence of facilities and infrastructure management toward quality of education at State Senior High School 1 Bangkinang and the factors influencing both variables.  It was a quantitative research, and simple linear regression analysis technique was used in this research to study about the influence of facilities and infrastructure management (X) toward quality of education (Y) at State Senior High School 1 Bangkinang.  300 students were the population of this research, and 30% of them or 90 students were the samples.  Simple random sampling technique was used in this research with SPSS Statistic 23 application to help the analysis.  The research findings showed that there was a significant influence of facilities and infrastructure management toward quality of education at State Senior High School 1 Bangkinang with 5% significant level 0.268 (0.7790.268).  Based on the calculation result, the determination coefficient (R Square) was 0.607 or 60.7%, and the rest 39.3% (100%-60.7%) was influenced by other variables that were not mentioned in this research.  The school was expected to always carry out continuous evaluations to improve the quality of education at State Senior High School 1 Bangkinang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation, supervision, and challenges of boarding school management at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 4 Muara Fajar Rumbai. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants consist of the head of the madrasah, vice principals of curriculum and facilities, boarding school supervisors, and student boarders. Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured using source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the boarding school management at MAN 4 Muara Fajar Rumbai has implemented several flagship programs, such as English and Arabic language proficiency, as well as tahsin and tahfidz programs. Character development is conducted 24 hours a day, both at school and in the dormitory. Supervision is carried out formally through weekly routines and evaluations, as well as informally through remote communication during holidays. Challenges include limited facilities, students’ reluctance to stay in dormitories, burnout due to full-day programs, and technical issues in the dormitory environment, such as cleanliness, bullying, and facility damage. This study concludes that although the implementation of boarding school management is relatively effective, improvements in facilities and enhanced coaching strategies are necessary to address the challenges and improve students’ comfort. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for the development of boarding school-based education systems in other institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of excellent administrative services on student satisfaction at MAN 1 Pekanbaru. Using a quantitative approach with simple linear regression analysis, the study found that excellent administrative services contributed 74.1% to student satisfaction, as indicated by a coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.741. The correlation test revealed a very strong and significant relationship between excellent administrative services and student satisfaction, with a correlation coefficient of 0.861 and a significance level of 0.000 (Sig. 2-tailed). These findings underscore the critical role of excellent services in improving student satisfaction, which also serves as an indicator of educational quality. Therefore, it is recommended that schools conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of their services to ensure sustained student satisfaction and continuous improvement in service quality.

Abstract

Kemampuan numerasi penting bagi siswa dalam menghadapi keterampilan abad 21 dan erat kaitannya dengan kemampuan penyelesaian masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi pembelajaran dalam upaya mengoptimalkan kemampuan numerasi untuk menghadapi Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) di SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian kepala sekolah, guru matematika, dan siswa kelas XI di sebuah SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Klaten, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif model alur interaktif. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) perencanaan pembelajaran dalam upaya mengoptimalkan kemampuan numerasi siswa dilakukan dengan menyusun RPP, mengembangkan LKPD, dan menggunakan media pembelajaran, (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran dalam upaya mengoptimalkan kemampuan numerasi siswa dilakukan dengan menyediakan fasilitas yang mendukung pembelajaran, menggunakan model pembelajaran PBL, memanfaatkan media pembelajaran yang relevan, dan mengaitkan materi pembelajaran dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, dan (3) evaluasi pembelajaran dalam upaya mengoptimalkan kemampuan numerasi siswa dilakukan dengan melakukan penilaian serta melakukan kegiatan supervisi akademik. Selanjutnya, diperlukan upaya lebih lanjut untuk merencanakan pembelajaran berorientasi numerasi, dilengkapi dengan LKPD dan instrumen penilaian yang memuat masalah matematika dengan berbagai variasi aspek konten, konteks, dan proses kognitif pada AKM numerasi, serta pemanfaatan teknologi secara efektif sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Permasalahan pendidikan di Indonesia salah satunya adalah pelajar umumnya malas dalam belajar menyebabkan tingkat IQ negara ini rendah, dan kemungkinan buruknya generasi bangsa akan mengalami penurunan drastis dalam kecerdasan literasi. Meskipun kajian tentang menumbuhkan motivasi belajar dan kewajiban menuntut ilmu dalam Islam telah banyak diteliti, kajian hal yang mendasar dan esensial secara mendalam, yaitu paradigma belajar dalam Islam jarang dipertimbangkan. Penelitian ini mengatasi kesenjangan tersebut dengan mengubah paradigma pelajar Muslim di Indonesia yang mulanya materialistik menjadi paradigma cinta dalam menuntut ilmu pada Islam. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah literature riview yang secara mendalam dan holistik. Temuan penelitian terlihat bahwa paradigma materialistik dalam belajar tidak memberikan motivasi yang kokoh dan konsisten untuk pelajar Muslim di Indonesia. Sedangkan, paradigma cinta dalam belajar dengan pemaknaan implisit terhadap hadist riwayat Ibnu Majah nomor 224 tentang kewajiban menuntut ilmu bagi seorang Muslim menjadikan qalbu (hati) terbuka dan rileks untuk menuntut ilmu. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagai seorang Muslim untuk tetap terdikte kepada Allah Swt, Rasulullah Saw, dan ilmu dalam hal belajar. Untuk itu, paradigma cinta ini sangat direkomendasikan bagi kepala madrasah sebagai langkah awal dalam perbaikan motivasi pelajar Muslim.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the comparison of branding image management in improving competitiveness between As-Shofa Islamic High School and Az-Zuhra Islamic School Pekanbaru. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques that include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, verification, conclusion drawing, and data triangulation techniques. The results of this study First, As-Shofa Islamic High School applies branding image management through the stages of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling, with a focus on creating uniqueness, excellence, and strength. This school has two excellent programs, namely academic programs and student programs. These programs are more dominantly oriented towards higher education and general goals.Second, Az-Zuhra Islamic High School Pekanbaru also applies image branding management with the stages of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling, with an emphasis on excellence, uniqueness, and strength. The flagship programs at this school include Tahsin and Tahfidz, Worship, and Character Building, which are dominantly oriented towards developing students' religious character. This research shows significant differences in image branding strategies between SMA Islam As-Shofa and SMA Az-Zuhra Islamic School Pekanbaru. As-Shofa Islamic High School focuses more on academic and general programs for higher education, while Az-Zuhra Islamic High School emphasizes more on religious character development. This finding provides insight into how differences in branding image strategies can affect the competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical literacy abilities of students in learning the topic of circles in mathematics. The aim of this research is to explore how the problem-based learning model affects the improvement of mathematical literacy skills in eleventh grade students. This research is a Classroom Action Research consisting of four stages. The location of this research is at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta, in the eleventh grade science class. In this study, the chosen method is qualitative research adopting the problem-based learning approach to the topic of circles. Data collection techniques consist of observation and tests. Observation is conducted to monitor the development of students during the learning process, while tests are used to measure students' mathematical literacy skills. In the pre-cycle, it was found that the level of students' mathematical literacy ability was still quite low at 47%. In cycle I, there was an improvement, reaching 65%, and then in cycle 2, a fairly good mastery level was achieved, with a percentage of 81%. Thus, the Problem-Based Learning model is appropriate for teaching mathematics on the topic of circles to enhance students' mathematical literacy skills
