Abstract

This study aims to evaluate teacher performance through the implementation of differentiated learning at SDN Randuacir. The program evaluation was conducted by identifying discrepancies between the government's standards for differentiated learning and the actual implementation at the school. This research employs an evaluative qualitative approach using the Discrepancy Evaluation Model developed by Malcolm Provus, which consists of five stages: design, installation, process, product, and cost-benefit analysis. The subjects of this study were the principal and teachers. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that discrepancies were present in all stages, including design, installation, process, product, and cost-benefit analysis. These discrepancies were primarily due to the inadequate execution of the design stage. It is concluded that teacher performance has not yet reached its optimal level and needs improvement, particularly in pedagogical, professional, and social competencies.

Abstract

The background of this study is based on the challenges faced by school principals in conducting conventional academic supervision, which is often hindered by time constraints, limited resources, and data accessibility issues. To address these problems, a web-based academic supervision system was developed. This study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D model approach (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). In the Define stage, problem identification was carried out through observations and interviews at Sidorejo Kidul 2 Public Elementary School. The analysis results indicated that academic supervision had been conducted manually and was not systematically documented. In the Design stage, a prototype of the web-based academic supervision system was designed with key features such as supervision data management, supervision report generation, and real-time feedback. In the Develop stage, validation was conducted by information technology and academic supervision experts, revealing that the web-based supervision system falls into the "Highly Feasible" category, with a feasibility percentage of 83.33% for the technology aspect and 92.9% for the academic supervision aspect. A field trial involving school principals, teachers, and educational staff showed that the system achieved a user satisfaction rate of 81.4%.

Abstract

Abstract

Teachers’ professionalism influences the quality of education. Professional teachers possess knowledge and teaching skills that impact student achievement. One form of teacher professional development is developing their action research writing skill. Action research articles can be used for their continuing professional and career development. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of conducting online training on writing action research articles and its impact on participants' knowledge and skills. The research subjects were 27 junior high school teachers. This study employed a mixed-method approach, combining quantitative data in the form of numerical and statistical analysis with qualitative data in the form of narratives or textual descriptions. The research instruments included tests and questionnaires for quantitative data collection, and interviews for qualitative data collection. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative methods and qualitative methods through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that online-based training effectively enhanced teachers' knowledge and skills in writing action research articles. Thus, online-based training can serve as an effective alternative for professional development by improving teachers' skills in writing action research articles. The study recommends expanding the training to involve teachers from various levels and regions, providing access to and technology facilities by policymakers, and designing broader and more complex training programs.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a training module for lesson planning using the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the pedagogical competence of junior high school art teachers in Salatiga. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method based on the Borg & Gall model, limited to the first five stages. The development process involved expert validation and limited field testing with 21 MGMP members. The research instruments included validation sheets, questionnaires, and pre-test/post-test assessments, while data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired-sample t-tests. The validation results indicated a high level of feasibility (average 90% for material and 83.6% for module). The effectiveness tests revealed a statistically significant improvement in teachers' pedagogical competence, with higher post-test scores (77.86) compared to pre-test scores (61.43), and a significance value (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The module, designed to be self-instructional, self-contained, adaptive, and user-friendly, demonstrates the potential of AI-enhanced TPACK training to improve the quality of art education. These findings imply that integrating AI into teacher professional development can effectively enhance pedagogical competence, with broader implications for designing innovative training models across various subject areas.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the potential of Generation Alpha, as well as the education and guidance needed to prepare them for Indonesia Gold 2045. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, employing initial observations, limited interviews with guidance teachers and counselors, and parents of Generation Alpha. The research results show that Generation Alpha has advantages in creativity, independent learning ability, and technology mastery. However, as a result of the dominance of virtual interactions, they also face significant problems, such as technology addiction, difficulty managing emotions, and a lack of social concern. This research emphasizes that integrated career guidance services must be provided from the beginning. It is also important to enhance 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and character development. To realize Indonesia Gold 2045, schools, families, and the surrounding environment must work together to maximize the potential of Generation Alpha. This will become a productive and competitive agent of change worldwide.
