Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of character education at SDN 015 Balikpapan Selatan using the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model, which comprises four levels: reaction, learning, behavior, and result. The research was motivated by the need to reinforce character values after the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to a decline in students' positive behaviors due to prolonged online learning. A mixed-method approach with an explanatory sequential design was employed. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires from 89 students (grades II-VI), while qualitative data were obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data analysis employed a simple quantitative descriptive approach using Microsoft Excel to calculate percentage scores and categorize them into five levels (very high, high, moderate, low, and very low) based on the Kirkpatrick evaluation model. Qualitative data from interviews, observations, and documents were narratively integrated to support and enrich the findings. The findings revealed that the reaction stage achieved an average score of 90.87%, the learning stage 88.24%, and the behavior stage 88.07%, all within the very high category. At the result stage, character education was found to have a positive long-term impact on students' learning motivation, social behaviors, and engagement both at school and at home. The program successfully fostered student discipline, independence, empathy, and moral conduct. However, challenges remain in achieving consistent internalization of character values, particularly outside the school environment. Overall, the study concludes that character education at SDN 015 Balikpapan has been effectively implemented and significantly contributes to shaping students' character, although ongoing improvement is needed through more collaborative strategies involving both schools and parents.

Abstract

Supervision constraints, which are carried out face-to-face or fully online, encourage the creation of a hybrid supervision model. To be able to carry out supervision in a hybrid manner, supervisors need to be equipped with knowledge and skills to be able to apply it appropriately. The objective of this study is to improve the ability of Education supervisors to carry out hybrid academic supervision through online training. This research approach was a mixed method with school action research methods. The subjects of this study were 20 people consisting of the principal and vice principal. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and tests. Data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive data analysis of Miles and Huberman models and quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques. The results showed an increase in the ability of participants after attending the training. This is proven by the increase in knowledge, skills and attitudes of trainees from pre-cycle, cycle 1 and cycle 2. In the pre-cycle stage, knowledge scores 32, skills 53, and attitudes 49. In cycle 1 the posttest results score knowledge 57, skill 75, and attitude 64. And in cycle 2 increased knowledge score 87, skill 93, and attitude 88. Based on the results of cycle 2, it can be seen that all participants have been able to achieve the established success indicator of ≥ 80. Thus, it can be concluded that online training can improve the ability of participants to apply hybrid model academic supervision.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the context of the Upa Indigenous People on Manggadua and analyze the management of Upa indigenous-based education at the Indigenous School of Lumah Ajare on Seram Island. This research used realist ethnographic research. This research data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data validity testing was carried out using technical triangulation and source triangulation. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques with the Miles and Huberman model. The results of this research show that the Upa Indigenous People in Manggadua are the Upa people with the surname Lilihata who have lived in Saunulu for a long time. They carry out the practice of inheriting Upa traditional knowledge through the organization of the School Indigenous of Lumah Ajare. Upa indigenous-based education management at the Indigenous School of Lumah Ajare is implemented through the POAC model. This illustrates the planning of the student Siwa curriculum which combines nature and tradition as its basis in a simple manner containing nine main materials; have clear organizing by involving Care Community Local communities of Lumah Ajare as a facilitator and Indigenous Peoples as the highest decision makers; actuating, learning that runs flexibly in Indigenous Community groups; as well as controlling or supervising that is carried out well by all elements of the Indigenous Community. Upa's indigenous-based education management research can have positive implications for the sustainable inheritance of indigenous knowledge in the lives of the Seram Island Indigenous People.

Purpose: This study aims to assess the effectiveness of flexible learning-based learning at the university level. Method: The research approach uses a mixed method with a sequential explanatory model. The quantitative method is used in the first stage then the qualitative method is used in the second stage. The research subjects were 19 lecturers and 150 students and 1 head of the Bureau of Technology and Information Systems (BTSI) who manages f-learn. The qualitative of the data was obtained through interviews and document study analyzed using Miles and Huberman's model. Quantitative data obtained from numbers with descriptive analysis. Findings: The results showed that the evaluation of context aspects of learning-based f-learn was in the very good category, the evaluation of input aspects was in the good category, the evaluation of process aspects was in the good category, and the evaluation of product aspects was in the good category. Conclusion: Thus, f-learn-based learning has an impact on increasing students' and lecturers' knowledge and mastery of information technology. The drawback is that it needs improvement for the quality of the internet network for each student, which is different. Keywords: cipp model, effectiveness, evaluation, learning, online.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v13.i2.202310

Abstract

This study aims to develop a training module that equips elementary school teachers with the skills to create interactive Learning Worksheets (LKPDs) using Google Slides, aligning with the demands of 21st-century education. A Research and Development method, following the Borg and Gall model, was employed. The research process involved seven stages: 1) a comprehensive needs assessment and literature review, 2) detailed research planning, 3) development of an initial module draft, 4) small-scale field testing to gather feedback, 5) revision of the module based on initial findings, 6) large-scale field testing to evaluate the module's effectiveness, and 7) final revisions based on the overall results. This study focused on 18 elementary school teachers at SD Kristen 04 Eben Haezer Salatiga. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires. Qualitative and quantitative analyses were employed to examine the data. The findings revealed that the Google Slides-based LKPD training module was successfully implemented and significantly enhanced teachers' pedagogical competencies in designing interactive learning materials using this digital tool. The validity of the training module was confirmed by expert evaluations. The module received a very high validity rating of 88% from instructional design experts and a high rating of 62% from content experts. Furthermore, the module was highly effective in improving teachers' skills, as evidenced by the positive feedback and high scores obtained from the teacher participants. The post-training survey revealed an average satisfaction rating of 93%, indicating a very high level of acceptance among the teachers.
