Abstract

Child marriage remains a pressing issue in Indonesia despite legal reforms aimed at increasing the minimum age for marriage. This study conducted in Siak, Riau Province, Indonesia for explores how the practice of Islamic family law influences the persistence of child marriage, focusing on the tension between traditional religious interpretations and contemporary child protection efforts. The aim is to understand how religious court decisions, sociocultural norms, and interpretations of Islamic legal principles contribute to the continuation or mitigation of child marriage in Muslim communities. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with religious court judges (hakim agama), community leaders, and affected families in selected West Java and Central Java regions. Document analysis of court decisions regarding marriage dispensation was also conducted to examine the reasoning behind legal allowances for underage marriages. The findings reveal that while many religious judges express concern for child protection, they often face social and religious pressures to approve marriage dispensations, especially in cases involving premarital pregnancy or economic vulnerability. Cultural traditions and local interpretations of Islamic law frequently prioritize family honor and social conformity over legal age requirements. However, some progressive interpretations are emerging, emphasizing maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah (the higher objectives of Islamic law), especially the protection of minors. This study concludes that balancing tradition and protection requires a contextual rethinking of Islamic legal practices in Indonesia. Greater emphasis on the ethical goals of Islamic law, combined with community education and judicial training, can help reduce the incidence of child marriage. The research highlights the need for an integrated approach that respects religious values while safeguarding children's rights.

Abstract

Islamic fintech and digital banking have become important catalysts in realising shariah-compliant financial inclusion. This study aims to systematically synthesise the use of technology behaviour theories - namely Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), and Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) in explaining the adoption of Islamic fintech services and its influence on financial inclusion and financial performance of Muslim individuals or businesses. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on PRISMA 2020 protocol, 568 articles were identified from Google Scholar (spanning 2020-2025). After screening and eligibility assessment, 20 verified articles were included in the thematic synthesis. Results show that perceived usefulness, trust, and religiosity are the dominant determinants in TAM and TPB models, while performance expectancy and facilitating conditions appear mostly in UTAUT. Financial inclusion is a significant mediating variable in bridging the relationship between adoption intention and improved financial performance, especially in the MSME sector. This study also identified important gaps, such as the limited number of longitudinal studies, the lack of integration of maqashid sharia as an outcome indicator, and the absence of a cross-theoretical synthesis model that considers spiritual-financial alignment. This study recommends the development of a framework to integrate

Abstract

Digital marketing has become a crucial tool for educational institutions to increase visibility, build trust, and attract prospective students. However, the integration of Sharia principles into digital marketing remains underexplored, particularly in early childhood education. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Sharia-based digital marketing strategies at Tadika Tinta Khalifah School, Kedah, Malaysia. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation to provide a comprehensive understanding of marketing practices within the school context. The findings reveal that the school employs social media platforms, an official website, and Islamic value-based content as its primary marketing strategies. These practices reflect adherence to Sharia principles such as honesty, transparency, and ethical communication. Nonetheless, the study also identifies several challenges: limited human resources, constrained promotional budgets, strong competition from other schools, and the need for parents to adapt to digital platforms. Despite these obstacles, the results show that the school has effectively utilized digital marketing in ways that both promote its services and preserve Islamic ethical standards. The contribution of this study lies in offering practical insights into how Sharia-compliant digital marketing can be applied in early education, highlighting both its opportunities and constraints. It provides valuable recommendations for strengthening capacity, optimizing content, and fostering collaboration to enhance competitiveness while maintaining alignment with Islamic values.

Abstract

The Qur'an as a guide to life for Muslims offers universal guidance that covers various aspects of life, including economic development and social sustainability. Surah Al-Baqarah verse 30 and verses 275-279 are ethical theological foundations in building governance that is fair, sustainable, and free from economic injustice. The Qur'anic approach to human development is not only normative but also provides practical solutions. The prohibition of usury, the recommendation of zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and human responsibility as khalifah are integral mechanisms to create inclusive and sustainable development. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between the values contained in Surah Al-Baqarah verses 30 and 275-279 with the goals of SDGs by using a thematic interpretation approach. The results show that achieving the SDGs requires the integration of spiritual values, as taught in the Qur'an, to complement technical and economic approaches. Therefore, the Qur'an can be the main reference in addressing various global issues through a holistic approach that incorporates ethics.

Abstract

Accounting has, in fact, been around since the days of the Prophet and already existed in the Qur'an. In practice, the principles are full disclosure principle, consistency principle, accrual basic principle, and the principle of current exchange rates.
