Abstract

Abstract

PET (Positron-emission tomography) is used to determine physiological and metabolic functions in the body. Monte Carlo simulation is an important part of PET imaging, and the Particle Heavy Ion Transport code System (PHITS) is a simulation platform that can be used to perform Monte Carlo simulations. This study uses a Monte Carlo simulation based on PHITS to determine the range of gamma absorption with an energy of 511 keV in a scintillation detector crystal material. The gamma absorption range determines the effective crystal length in the PET modality. The simulation process is carried out by shooting Gamma at various types of materials, which are the materials used in PET scintillation crystals. The materials used in this simulation are NaI (Sodium Iodide), BaF2 (Barium Florida), BGO (Bismuth Germanate), and GSO (Gadolinium Oxyorthosilicate), considering their atomic number and crystal density. The crystal material is capable of absorbing gamma radiation with an energy of 511 keV with detailed crystal lengths for each NaI crystal of 0.26 cm; 0.25 cm BaF2 crystals; 0.1cm BGO crystals; and 0.18 cm GSO crystals. The crystal length from this simulation is smaller than the commercially available crystal length (range 1-3 cm). Based on the crystal length data, the most effective crystal for absorbing gamma radiation is the BGO crystal.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of the digital halal economy presents unprecedented opportunities for Muslim women to participate, innovate, and lead within value-driven economic systems. This study explores how digital technologiesparticularly e-commerce platforms, Islamic financial technology (fintech), and social mediahave become powerful tools for inclusion, entrepreneurship, and leadership among Muslim women. Through a qualitative literature-based approach, this research examines the intersection of gender, Islamic values, and digital innovation, revealing how Muslim women are redefining their economic agency while navigating sociocultural, structural, and regulatory challenges. The study identifies key areas of empowerment, such as ethical branding, syariah-compliant business practices, and community-driven mentoring within digital halal ecosystems. It also highlights the barriers posed by digital illiteracy, gender bias, and inadequate policy frameworks. Drawing from academic literature, case studies, and policy analyses, this paper proposes strategic pathways to build a gender-inclusive digital halal economy through education, value-aligned innovation, and ethical leadership. The findings contribute to global discourses on Islamic economics, gender equity, and digital transformation, emphasizing the importance of inclusive economic models that align with both technological advancement and Islamic ethics.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the availability and validation of the Islamic marketing model thru theoretical and empirical approaches based on the principles of maqasid al-shariah. In the last two decades, Islamic economic growth has shown a significant trend across various sectors, but the practice and research of Islamic marketing still face constraints in the validity and availability of valid measurement instruments. This study uses a systematic literature review method on Scopus and DOAJ indexed articles from 2014–2025, focusing on Islamic marketing indicators and compliance. The study results indicate that Islamic marketing does not yet have a comprehensive conceptual framework capable of fully integrating functional and spiritual dimensions. The application of maqasid al-shariah is an important foundation that emphasizes that marketing activities must be directed toward the common good, justice, and sustainability. By integrating Sharia principles into the nine elements of the product marketing mix (9Ps) – product, price, place, promotion, people, process, physical evidence, promise, and patience – a conceptual model was obtained that places ethics, spirituality, and Sharia compliance at the core of the marketing strategy. This research is expected to serve as a theoretical foundation for the development of empirical validation instruments and practical guidelines for companies to implement authentic and welfare-oriented Islamic marketing.

Abstract

This article examines the challenges and opportunities for Islamic Microfinance Institutions (LKMS) in supporting the strengthening of the Islamic financial system in Aceh following the implementation of Qanun No. 11 of 2018 concerning Islamic Financial Institutions. This study employs a qualitative approach, incorporating in-depth interviews, observations, and secondary data analysis of LKMS financial reports and institutional documents. The research findings indicate that regulatory support and the socio-religious context in Aceh create strategic opportunities for LKMS through a captive market, community preference for halal transactions, and the need for financing in the real sector, especially agriculture, fisheries, and MSMEs. However, the research also reveals significant challenges, including limited human resource capacity, weak capital, low Islamic financial literacy, and the continued dominance of loan shark practices at the community level. Furthermore, government programs that have not been integrated with the LKMS ecosystem add to the complexity of improving the competitiveness of these institutions. This study concludes that the success of LKMS in Aceh cannot rely solely on the existence of regulations, but requires strategies for institutional strengthening, product diversification, digitalisation of services, and increased Islamic financial literacy. The implications of this research emphasise the need for regional government policy support and collaboration with Baitul Mal and socio-religious institutions to create an inclusive and sustainable Islamic financial ecosystem.
