Abstract

Dental and oral health have a great role in human life. Tooth is also related to one’s body health especially in food processing. This study is aimed to determine the description of knowledge and motivation of mothers towards dental care of children Gunung Tinggi Village, Village III Sub District Pancur Batu Sub District Deli Serdang District. The type of this research is descriptive research with survey method . The data were collected by using questionnaires finding out the description of knowledge and motivation of mothers towards dental care of children aged 1-5 years. The sample of this research were 30 mothers and children in Gunung Tinggi Village, Dusun III Pancur Batu Sub District, Deli Serdang District. The results of this study indicate that the knowledge of 10 mothers (33.3%) is in good category, and 20 people (66.7%) are in moderate category, and there was no mother in poor category. Based on mothers’ motivation, 22 peoples (73,3% ) were in good criteria, 8 people (26.7%) were in moderate criteria, and no mother with poor criteria. Based on dental health status,10 people (33,3%) had caries and 20 people (66,7%) had no caries. The results showed that the level of knowledge and motivation is very influential towards the dental care among the children. It is expected that mothers put effort to maintain the dental health of their children by guiding the children to good and proper dental health care.

Abstract

Nurhamidah Developing Miniature Learning Media to Improve Understanding of Science Concepts in Solar System Material in Class VI SDN Sindangmulya 01. Bachelor of Education, Pelita Bangsa University Supervisor: (Ira Restu Kurnia, S.Pd., M.Pd). By developing Miniature Learning Media, it can improve the understanding of science concepts in solar system material in class VI of SDN Sindangmulya 01. This study aims to develop a design for miniature solar system learning media, test the feasibility of the media, and describe teacher responses to the developed learning media. The method used is Research and Development (R&D), especially with the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages, namely the analysis stage, design stage, development stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. In this study, data collection techniques were carried out through several methods designed to ensure the validity and effectiveness of miniature solar system learning media by conducting a feasibility test by material expert validators, media expert validators, language expert validators and student responses. The results of the feasibility test of the miniature solar system learning media showed very positive results based on assessments from various material expert validators getting a very feasible category with a percentage of 92%, so that the miniature solar system learning media is included as "very valid". The media expert validator obtained 91% with the "very valid" category. Meanwhile, the assessment obtained from the language expert validator obtained 90% with the category "very valid". In the response of students to the miniature learning media obtained 97% with the category "very valid". The results of data processing on the average pre-test and post-test scores of grade VI students of SDN Sindangmulya 01 in the effectiveness test before and after using the media through the N-Gain calculation produced a score of 0.56. Based on the N-gain criteria, the result of 0.5 indicates the criteria "There is a moderate increase". Keywords: Development, Miniatures, Student Understanding, Science

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media on the topic of complex reaction kinetics as an effort to stimulate students' systematic thinking skills. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE model. The test subjects in this study were students of the Chemistry Education Study Program who participated in the Chemistry Kinetics course in the 2022/2023 academic year. The data collection techniques in this study included feasibility data from the developed media based on expert validation of the media and material, as well as responses from students participating in the course regarding the developed media. The instruments used in this study were a questionnaire on the needs of course participants, a validation sheet, and a student response questionnaire. The results showed that the interactive learning media developed was deemed very feasible from the perspective of media and material validation, with average percentages for media and material validation of 92.5% and 93.75%, respectively. The results of the response test of students taking the Chemical Kinetics course to the interactive media developed showed an average score percentage of 86.6% and was in the very good category. The responses of the students also showed that the media developed could stimulate students' systematic thinking skills in the topic of complex reaction kinetics.

Abstract

Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) – Integrated Multi-satellite Retrievals for GPM (IMERG) satellite data is one of the main sources of global rainfall estimates with high spatial and temporal resolution. This study aims to identify spatial, temporal, and methodological trends in research related to the use of GPM-IMERG between 2014 and 2024, as well as to assess the effectiveness of various bias correction methods in improving data accuracy and to examine the main hydrological applications utilising these data. A systematic review of over twenty scientific publications reveals that the use of GPM-IMERG has grown considerably since 2017, particularly in humid tropical regions such as Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Latin America. Methodologically, there has been a shift towards integrating GPM-IMERG with physically based hydrological models (e.g. SWAT, HEC-HMS and VIC) and machine learning algorithms (e.g. Random Forest and XGBoost) to improve the prediction of rainfall and river discharge. Analysis also shows that Quantile Mapping (QM) and Distribution Mapping (DM) provide the best correction performance, increasing NSE values by 20–35% in mountainous areas. Linear Scaling (LS) remains effective in tropical lowlands. The most prevalent hydrological applications are discharge modelling, flood analysis and drought monitoring. Key research gaps include the absence of long-term studies (>10 years), limitations in topographically complex regions and the lack of multi-sensor integration.

Abstract

Climate change education demands innovative strategies that equip future educators with both scientific understanding and 21st-century teaching skills. This study aims to develop and evaluate an inquiry-based e-module on climate change, centered around local rainfall trend data, to enhance the conceptual knowledge and 4C competencies—critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication—of pre-service physics teachers in Indonesia. The research employed the ADDIE instructional design model and involved validation by experts and pilot implementation with 57 student teachers. The e-module was developed using multimedia tools and structured around guided inquiry stages. Validation results indicated high content and media quality, while effectiveness testing showed a significant increase in cognitive learning, with a mean N-Gain score of 0.71. Performance assessments also revealed very high achievements across all 4C dimensions. Participants demonstrated improved analytical reasoning, contextual problem-solving, and scientific communication skills.These findings suggest that integrating local climate data into inquiry-based digital learning modules fosters both cognitive and competency-based outcomes. The module aligns with curricular standards and responds to the growing need for climate-responsive teacher education. It provides a scalable model for future implementation in diverse educational settings and contributes to the advancement of environmental literacy and data-driven pedagogy in science education..

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of mathematical models in solving two-variable linear inequality problems (2VLI) related to real-life situations through contextual problems. The research method used is library research, reviewing various written sources such as scientific journals, mathematics textbooks, and relevant academic publications. The analysis is conducted through five stages: problem identification, variable definition, mathematical model formulation, inequality solving, and result interpretation. The findings of the study show that the application of 2VLI mathematical models can help simplify real-life problems into systematic and structured mathematical forms. Additionally, the use of these mathematical models enhances students' conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities. Therefore, two-variable linear inequalities play an important role in mathematics learning, especially in linking mathematical concepts to real-life contexts.

Abstract

Kaur Regency has abundant marine resources, particularly Octopus vulgaris. According to data from the local Fisheries Service, octopus production in 2023 reached 349,310 kg. However, utilization remains limited to dried products. An alternative innovation is processing octopus into flour, which offers high nutritional value, longer shelf life, and broader applications as a raw material for various food products. This study aimed to produce octopus flour and analyze its proximate composition. Fresh octopus samples were selected, cleaned, boiled, sliced, and sun-dried until completely dehydrated. The dried material was then ground into powder and stored in airtight containers. Proximate and mineral analyses were conducted at the Biology Laboratory, University of Bengkulu, following SNI 01-2715-1996 standards. The macronutrient analysis showed that fat content was 8.19%, meeting SNI Class II standards (<10%). Protein content reached 32.41%, while carbohydrate content was 7.08%. For micronutrients, calcium content was 0.15%, meeting SNI Class I standards (>0.1%), magnesium content was 0.87%, and iron content was 5,412 ppm. Additional nutritional analysis indicated moisture content of 1.96%, fiber content of 0.73%, and ash content of 4.2%, all complying with SNI Class I criteria. In conclusion, octopus flour produced from local resources meets SNI Class I and II standards for macronutrients, micronutrients, and other nutritional parameters, demonstrating its potential as a nutritious and durable alternative food ingredient.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi Metode Wafa dalam Program Tahfiż di SDIT Nurul Iman Pondok Bambu dengan suatu usaha atau ikhtiar yang dilakukan oleh SDIT Nurul Iman Pondok Bambu agar mampu tercapai suatu tujuan guna menciptakan generasi insan yang Qur’ani melalui metode tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode kualitatif adalah metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk meneliti kondisi objek yang alami. Tujuan utama penelitian kualitatif adalah untuk memahami fenomena atau gejala sosial dengan cara memberikan pemaparan berupa penggambaran yang jelas tentang fenomena atau gejala sosial tersebut dalam bentuk rangkaikan kata yang pada akhirnya akan menghasilkan sebuah teori. Abstract

Fluktuasi harga cabai rawit yang tinggi dan tidak stabil sering menimbulkan ketidakpastian bagi konsumen, pedagang, serta pemerintah daerah dalam pengendalian inflasi dan perencanaan distribusi pangan, sehingga diperlukan metode peramalan yang akurat dan andal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan tingkat akurasi dan efektivitas dua metode peramalan, yaitu Fuzzy Time Series (FTS) Lee dan Fuzzy Time Series Markov Chain, dalam memprediksi harga cabai rawit di Kota Tasikmalaya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriftif dengan objek penelitian berupa data harga cabai rawit mingguan di Kota Tasikmalaya periode April 2024 hingga April 2025 yang bersumber dari Pusat Informasi Harga Pangan Strategis (PIHPS) Nasional. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan fuzzyfikasi, pembentukan Fuzzy Logical Relationship Group (FLRG), perhitungan matriks probabilitas transisi Markov, defuzzyfikasi, serta evaluasi akurasi model menggunakan Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), dan Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model FTS Lee memiliki performa yang lebih baik dengan nilai kesalahan yang lebih rendah, yaitu MAPE sebesar 5,36%, MAE sebesar 3.014, dan RMSE sebesar 3.823, dibandingkan dengan model FTS Markov Chain yang menghasilkan MAPE sebesar 7,91%, MAE sebesar 4.286, dan RMSE sebesar 5.332. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode FTS Lee lebih efektif dan lebih akurat dalam meramalkan pergerakan harga cabai rawit di Kota Tasikmalaya.Penelitian ini membandingkan akurasi dan efektivitas dua metode peramalan, yaitu Fuzzy Time Series (FTS) Lee dan Fuzzy Time Series Markov Chain, untuk memprediksi harga cabai rawit di Kota Tasikmalaya.
