Abstract

Keterbatasan akses terhadap perangkat komputer yang memadai masih menjadi salah satu tantangan dalam pengembangan keterampilan digital siswa di sekolah kejuruan, khususnya pada bidang desain grafis dasar. Di sisi lain, kebutuhan industri kreatif menuntut lulusan SMK memiliki kompetensi visual dan kemampuan menggunakan perangkat desain digital. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam membuat desain logo melalui pemanfaatan aplikasi Canva Mobile berbasis smartphone sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran yang lebih mudah diakses. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan workshop partisipatif yang terdiri atas tahapan pre-test, penyampaian materi, praktik langsung pembuatan desain logo menggunakan smartphone, serta evaluasi melalui post-test. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 30 siswa SMK Swasta Amal Bakti. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan siswa secara signifikan, yang ditunjukkan melalui kenaikan nilai rata-rata dari 48,67 pada tahap pre-test menjadi 84,17 pada tahap post-test. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan smartphone melalui aplikasi Canva Mobile dapat menjadi solusi efektif dalam mengatasi keterbatasan sarana komputer sekaligus meningkatkan keterampilan desain grafis siswa. Dengan demikian, pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis perangkat mobile memiliki potensi untuk diterapkan secara lebih luas dalam mendukung pendidikan vokasi yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi digital.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to; (1) analyze the quality control assessment of the results of the Prakerin students' products at TEFA vocational high school, (2) analyze efforts to improve the entrepreneurial spirit of Prakerin students at TEFA vocational high school, (3) analyze how to improve the activeness of Prakerin students at teaching factory SMK and (4) provide suggestions and input to quality control so that the quality of Prakerin students' products at teaching factory SMK is in accordance with consumer orders. Qualitative research method with a case study approach, Data collection using semi-structured interviews with respondents Principal, quality control staff, teaching factory managers, teachers and Prakerin students at the teaching factory, with the aim of obtaining appropriate and accurate data. Research results; (1) the quality of te products of teaching factory internship students must be in accordance with standards, so strategies are needed; (a) preparation of student competencies, (b). planning, implementation of learning, production activities, and industrial cooperation, (c) students are required to be honest, disciplined, responsible and active, and (d) determining standard operating procedures. (2) students' entrepreneurial spirit is influential during internship at teaching factory. Entrepreneurial spirit includes the ability to think creatively, innovatively, dare to take risks, and take advantage of business opportunities. Internship at teaching factory is a place to produce young entrepreneurs, create jobs and produce graduates with technical skills. (3) efforts to improve the activeness of Internship students (4) suggestions and input from quality control.

Abstract

Desain grafis, khususnya dalam konteks pembuatan poster, memegang peranan penting dalam komunikasi visual di era digital. Kemampuan untuk membuat poster tidak lagi terbatas pada kelompok tertentu; individu dari berbagai latar belakang dapat memanfaatkan desain grafis. Canva, sebuah aplikasi desain grafis berbasis web, menawarkan solusi praktis bagi siapa pun yang ingin menciptakan desain menarik tanpa perlu memiliki keahlian profesional. Pelatihan desain grafis yang memanfaatkan Canva bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam menciptakan poster yang efektif dan komunikatif. Pelatihan ini mencakup pengenalan prinsip- prinsip dasar desain grafis, seperti elemen visual, tipografi, warna, dan komposisi, serta penerapan Canva untuk menghasilkan desain yang menarik dan profesional. Dengan memanfaatkan Canva, siswa SMK Kesehatan Binatama Yogyakarta diharapkan dapat mengembangkan kreativitas dan keterampilan desain grafis mereka, mempersiapkan diri untuk menghadapi tuntutan dunia kerja yang semakin membutuhkan kemampuan desain visual. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya menawarkan keterampilan teknis, tetapi juga memberikan kesempatan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan lain yang sangat berharga juga membekali peserta dengan pemahaman tentang pentingnya desain dalam konteks komunikasi dan promosi di berbagai sektor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi guru dan siswa terhadap inisiasi Program Keahlian Perpajakan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), serta potensinya sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan minat pendidikan vokasi bidang keuangan di Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penurunan minat siswa terhadap program keahlian Akuntansi dan Keuangan Lembaga (AKL), sementara kebutuhan tenaga terampil di bidang perpajakan terus meningkat seiring kompleksitas regulasi dan digitalisasi pajak. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis survei deskriptif dan verifikatif melalui pendekatan cross-sectional. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 34 guru akuntansi dan 120 siswa program keahlian AKL di Kabupaten Gunungkidul yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner tertutup berskala Likert 1-4 yang telah diuji valid dan reliabel, kemudian dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, regresi linear berganda, uji hipotesis (uji t dan uji F), serta uji beda persepsi (independent sample t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru (mean 3,25) dan persepsi siswa (mean 3,01) terhadap inisiasi program berada pada kategori tinggi. Analisis regresi menghasilkan persamaan Y = 1,271 + 0,392X1 + 0,630X2, dengan persepsi guru dan persepsi siswa berpengaruh positif dan signifikan baik secara parsial (uji t, sig. 0,000) maupun simultan (uji F = 25,726; sig. 0,000) terhadap minat memilih program, serta mampu menjelaskan 62,4% variasinya (R2 = 0,624). Uji beda menunjukkan adanya perbedaan persepsi yang signifikan antara guru dan siswa (t = 17,910; sig. 0,000). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa Program Keahlian Perpajakan memiliki potensi kuat sebagai alternatif pendidikan vokasi bidang keuangan, meskipun implementasinya memerlukan penguatan kompetensi guru dan kesiapan digital sekolah.

Abstract

Objective: The high unemployment rate of vocational high school graduates (9.01%) contrasts with the availability of jobs in industrial areas, indicating a gap between competency and career choices. This study aims to examine the determinants of career choices of vocational high school students in industrial areas through a phenomenological approach. Method: This phenomenological study involved five 12th-grade vocational high school students in the Weleri-Kendal industrial area using semi-structured interviews. Results: The results show that career choices are determined by a dynamic interaction between personal factors (intrinsic interest), the view of success as an internal factor, entrepreneurial spirit as an adaptive strategy, and responses to economic and social realities. Field Work Practice (PKL) experiences play a central role in career validation. Entrepreneurial spirit functions as an adaptive strategy that helps students overcome uncertainty. These findings imply the need for transformation of career guidance services in vocational high schools from merely providing job vacancy information to facilitators that build students' self-efficacy, tolerance for uncertainty, and adaptive capacity through a holistic approach. Novelty: The novelty of this research lies in deepening the meaning of students' lived experiences amidst the pressures of the industrial ecosystem, which has so far been neglected in survey-based research to understand the dynamics of career choices of vocational high school students in developing countries.

Abstract

Batak script is a cultural heritage of the Batak people in North Sumatra that requires preservation through digitization. This study proposes the FastViT-SA12 architecture for handwritten Batak script recognition using the Batak Char 20 dataset, which consists of 117 character classes. To address data imbalance, data augmentation was performed using ImgAug, resulting in 650 images per class. The dataset was divided into training, validation, and testing sets with a ratio of 70:20:10, and all images were resized to 64 × 64 pixels to reduce computational overhead. The model was trained for 30 epochs using the Adam optimizer with a learning rate of 0.001 and a batch size of 64. The proposed model achieved a training accuracy of 99.97%, a validation accuracy of 97.96%, and a test accuracy of 89.31%, with weighted precision, recall, and F1-score of 91.84%, 89.31%, and 88.99%, respectively. FastViT-SA12 demonstrates promising potential for recognizing 117 Batak script classes while maintaining computational efficiency with a compact parameter footprint, making it a viable candidate for mobile-first Optical Character Recognition (OCR) systems in manuscript preservation.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the creative industry and the ongoing digital transformation have significantly reshaped the characteristics of the labor market, particularly within the animation sector. These changes require graduates of Vocational High Schools (SMKs), especially those majoring in Animation, to possess not only strong technical competencies but also the adaptability needed to respond to the dynamic demands of the industry. This article aims to analyze the characteristics of the labor market and their implications for the employment opportunities of Vocational High School graduates in the Animation program through a literature review approach. The data sources consisted of scholarly articles, research reports, and other relevant literature addressing vocational education, employability, the creative industry, and animation competencies. The findings indicate that employment opportunities for Animation graduates are influenced by five major characteristics of the contemporary labor market: industrial digitalization, the increasing demand for multidisciplinary competencies, the predominance of project-based work, the growing importance of employability skills, and the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies. The review further reveals that graduates who demonstrate a combination of technical expertise, creativity, communication, collaboration, and adaptability are more likely to secure employment in the industry. Therefore, strengthening industry-oriented curricula, expanding work-based learning opportunities, and fostering twenty-first-century competencies are essential strategies to enhance the competitiveness of Vocational High School Animation graduates in the evolving labor market.

Abstract

Ensuring the integrity of Smart Grid data is essential for preventing unauthorized data modification during transmission and storage. Cryptographic hash functions provide an efficient mechanism for integrity verification; however, their diffusion characteristics and computational performance under identical conditions require further evaluation. This study experimentally compares SHA-256, SHA3-256, and BLAKE2b-256 for Smart Grid data integrity verification using avalanche effect analysis, hash consistency evaluation, and computational performance benchmarking with a standardized 256-bit digest length. The results show that all evaluated algorithms achieved avalanche effect values close to the theoretical 50% criterion (SHA-256: 49.97%, SHA3-256: 49.96%, and BLAKE2b-256: 50.04%) and maintained a 100% hash consistency rate, indicating comparable diffusion capability and deterministic behavior. In terms of computational performance, BLAKE2b-256 achieved the shortest average execution time (11.14 ms), outperforming SHA-256 (13.24 ms) and SHA3-256 (16.87 ms). These findings indicate that all evaluated algorithms are suitable for Smart Grid data integrity verification, while BLAKE2b-256 provides the highest computational efficiency under the experimental conditions. The results are limited to the experimental evaluation of cryptographic hash function behavior and do not represent a comprehensive assessment of Smart Grid cybersecurity.
