Abstract

Green open spaces (Ruang Terbuka Hijau/RTH) represent a critical form of urban public service infrastructure that contributes to citizen well-being and urban sustainability. Despite their importance, limited empirical attention has been given to understanding the mechanisms through which citizens evaluate the quality of these public spaces and form satisfaction judgments, particularly in the Indonesian urban context. Drawing on the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) framework, this study examines how perceived RTH quality influences citizen satisfaction, focusing on the mediating role of psychological comfort and the moderating role of pro-environmental attitude. Data were collected from 200 residents of Bandung, West Java, using purposive online sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that perceived RTH quality is positively associated with citizen satisfaction, both directly and indirectly through psychological comfort. Furthermore, the relationships between RTH quality and both psychological comfort and satisfaction are stronger among citizens with higher pro-environmental attitudes. These findings contribute to the public service and urban management literature by elucidating the experiential and attitudinal mechanisms underlying citizen satisfaction with green public infrastructure. Practical implications for municipal RTH management, including maintenance, accessibility, and citizen engagement strategies, are discussed.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how internal greenwashing within Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) affects employee green creativity through the psychological mechanism of green fatigue, while also testing the moderating role of competitive green gamification and group differences based on green value orientation. Drawing on Conservation of Resources (COR) theory and Self-Determination Theory, this study conceptualizes perceived greenwashing as an internal organizational stressor that depletes employees’ psychological resources and weakens intrinsic motivation. A quantitative survey was conducted among 556 hotel employees in the Java–Bali region, Indonesia, using a non-probability purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test direct, mediating, moderating, and multigroup effects. The results show that perceived greenwashing increases green fatigue and reduces employee green creativity, both directly and indirectly. Competitive green gamification strengthens the effect of greenwashing on green fatigue. Multigroup analysis further reveals that these effects are stronger among employees with high green value orientation. This study contributes to GHRM literature by shifting the focus from external to internal greenwashing and highlighting its psychological and behavioral consequences.

Abstract

Purpose: In today’s volatile business landscape, organizational resilience is critical for the survival of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to develop and analyze a model that integrates organizational situation awareness, agile response, and organizational creativity as strategic capabilities influencing resilience. Method: Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through an online survey of 318 business owners in Bandung, West Java, facilitated by the West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results: The findings confirm that agile response significantly and positively enhances organizational resilience and organizational creativity. Organizational creativity mediates this process by directly and positively impacting resilience. Importantly, the study reveals the moderating role of organizational situation awareness, which strengthens the positive effect of agile response on organizational creativity and of organizational creativity on resilience. Implication & Recommendation: This study advances dynamic capability theory by positioning organizational situation awareness as a meta-capability that amplifies the effectiveness of agile response. MSMEs owners should invest in developing agile work cultures and fostering creativity while strengthening their environmental scanning system. Contribution & Value Added: This study introduces organizational situation awareness as a moderator in the MSMEs context. It also emphasizes that agile firms build resilience through organizational creativity during crises.
