Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of utilization of village treasury land (TKD) carried out by the Sungai Sayang Village Government and how the utilization of TKD contributes to improving the community's economy. Village treasury land is a village asset that can be utilized to support development and community welfare if managed properly. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews with the Village Head, Village Secretary, Head of the Village Consultative Body (BPD), and two farmers who are directly involved in the management of village treasury land. The results of the study showed that the utilization of village land in Sungai Sayang Village was carried out by planting oil palms which were managed directly by the village government in collaboration with the local community. Unlike in several other villages that rent village land, in Sungai Sayang Village the land is managed collectively by residents, so that the benefits can be felt directly by the community. The cooperation system is carried out through mutual cooperation and the harvest is divided according to each person's contribution. This utilization has a positive impact on the community's economy, especially for residents who do not have permanent jobs, because they can earn income from the oil palm harvest.

Click here and insert abstract your text. Insert an abstract of 200-300 words, giving a brief account of the most relevant aspects of the paper. The study purpose was to analyze the influence of e-money usage (X1) and prestige (X2) on consumptive behavior (Y) among Muslim Generation Z in Muara Sabak Barat District. With the rapid development of financial technology and the strong drive for social status, Generation Z—as digital natives—is particularly vulnerable to impulsive and unplanned consumption patterns. This study seeks to explore how the ease of digital financial services and the psychological need for social recognition jointly shape their consumer behavior. Materials and methods. This research employed a quantitative approach. Questionnaires were distributed to 95 respondents selected through stratified random sampling and purposive sampling techniques, from a total population of 6,233 Muslim individuals aged 13–28 years. Inclusion criteria included basic understanding of digital financial services and permanent residence in the research area. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS software. Results. Findings revealed that e-money and prestige simultaneously have a significant effect on consumptive behavior, as indicated by an F-value of 8.897 and a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). Partially, e-money shows a significant influence (Sig. = 0.039), as does prestige (Sig. = 0.009). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.162, indicating that 16.2% of the variation in consumptive behavior is explained by the model, while 83.8% is attributed to other variables. Conclusions. The study concludes that both digital transaction convenience and social image motivation significantly contribute to consumptive behavior among Muslim Generation Z. However, other factors such as financial literacy, self-control, and social media influence may also play a critical role and deserve further investigation in future research.

Abstract

The study aimed to examine the effect of work discipline on employee performance at X bank units. Human resources, as the primary element of any organization, play a crucial role in achieving institutional goals. Among the various factors that influence employee performance, work discipline is a key determinant. Poor time discipline and non-compliance with company regulations often result in decreased performance, highlighting the need to investigate the relationship between these variables. Materials and methods. This quantitative research employed both primary and secondary data, using a descriptive analysis method, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, and t-test hypothesis testing. The data were processed using SPSS version 22 to examine the extent to which work discipline influences employee performance. Results. The results showed that work discipline had a positive and significant effect on employee performance at X bank units. The analysis revealed that work discipline contributed 31.4% to performance outcomes, while the remaining 68.6% was influenced by other variables not included in this model. The regression equation obtained was Y = 24.147 + 0.605X, and the t-test results indicated that the calculated t-value (3.884) exceeded the critical value (2.035), confirming a statistically significant effect. Conclusions. The findings underscore the importance of enhancing employee discipline to improve performance in the banking sector. The study contributes to the literature by integrating Islamic work values in the context of work discipline and its practical implications for human resource management in creating a more productive and goal-oriented workplace.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the perceptions and level of knowledge of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Rantau Rasau II Village regarding Islamic banking services, particularly in conducting transactions at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). The background of this study is based on the importance of Islamic financial literacy among MSMEs to support economic growth based on Islamic principles. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative with data collection through questionnaires distributed to MSMEs in the village. The results show that most MSMEs have limited basic knowledge regarding Islamic banking principles and products. Nevertheless, perceptions of Bank Syariah Indonesia are generally quite positive, especially related to aspects of halal transactions and fairness of the profit-sharing system. Factors such as education level, business experience, and access to information are variables that influence the level of knowledge and perceptions of MSMEs. These findings imply the need for more intensive education and socialization regarding Islamic banking so that MSMEs can have more trust and actively utilize BSI services optimally.

Abstract

The study purpose was to examine the implementation of the ijarah-based gold pawning product at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Jambi Branch, focusing on its operational procedures, appraisal process, and compliance with Sharia principles. Materials and methods. This research used a qualitative descriptive method, gathering primary data through in-depth interviews with branch officers and direct observation, supported by secondary data from official documents and relevant literature. Results. The findings reveal that BSI applies a multi-contract (uqud murakkabah) scheme consisting of rahn, qardh, and ijarah, in full compliance with Fatwa DSN-MUI No. 26/DSN-MUI/III/2002. Gold appraisal is carried out by certified appraisers using modern equipment and daily market price references. The ujrah fee is determined at the start of the contract and remains unchanged until maturity, ensuring fairness (al-‘adl) and legal certainty (al-yaqin). Security measures include a dedicated vault with a dual control system and the use of PWG Monitoring technology to enhance efficiency and accountability. However, some members of the public still misinterpret the ujrah fee as being equivalent to interest in conventional pawn systems, indicating the need for enhanced public education on Islamic financial principles. Conclusions. The ijarah-based gold pawning product at BSI Jambi Branch is proven to be an effective, secure, and Sharia-compliant financing solution, with strong potential to be developed further as an inclusive and sustainable Islamic financial instrument.

Abstract

The study purpose was to analyze the practice of down payments (ʿurbūn) within istisnāʿ contracts in catering service transactions at Yuriken Kitchen, a microenterprise in Pandan Lagan Village, from the perspective of Islamic economic law. The research aimed to examine whether such practices conform to sharīʿah principles and to provide recommendations for improving legal certainty and fairness in similar rural-based business contexts. Materials and methods. This study employed a qualitative, empirical-sociological approach to explore the implementation of down payment systems in a real-world setting. Data were collected through observation, interviews with the business owner and clients, and documentation. The analysis involved inductive reasoning to interpret findings within the framework of Islamic commercial jurisprudence, particularly referring to DSN-MUI fatwas and the Compilation of Islamic Economic Law (KHES). Results. Findings revealed that while down payments of 30–50% are commonly used to secure orders, transactions are conducted orally without written contracts, creating legal ambiguities and potential injustice in the event of cancellations. The current practices show partial conformity with sharīʿah—upholding trust and mutual consent—but lack formal clarity, thereby exposing parties to gharar (uncertainty) and disputes. The study also highlighted a general lack of awareness regarding the legal provisions for ʿurbūn and istisnāʿ among microentrepreneurs in the village, indicating the need for greater educational outreach on fiqh muʿāmalah. Conclusions. The research concludes that the down payment practices at Yuriken Kitchen, although rooted in local trust-based customs, are not fully aligned with the legal standards of Islamic economic law due to the absence of formal contract documentation. The study contributes a novel sociological insight by illustrating how rural social trust, while valuable, must be complemented by legally sound practices to prevent conflict and uphold justice. Promoting awareness of sharīʿah-based contract mechanisms and encouraging the use of written agreements in microenterprises is crucial for building a transparent, fair, and spiritually accountable economic environment.

Abstract

Stunting in rural areas remains a crucial challenge for human resource development in Indonesia. Conversely, the potential of Islamic Social Finance through Zakat, Infaq, and Alms (ZIS) is immense, yet it is often hindered by traditional management practices and limited distribution reach. This study aims to explore how the digitalization of Islamic social finance can optimize ZIS management to support stunting reduction programs in rural settings. The methodology employed is a descriptive qualitative approach utilizing a literature study. The findings indicate that the implementation of digital platforms in the collection and distribution of ZIS can enhance transparency, accountability, and the precision of targeting nutritional aid for toddlers and education for pregnant women. Digitalization enables data integration between zakat management institutions (LAZ/BAZNAS) and village health data, ensuring that stunting interventions are conducted in a sustainable and measurable manner. In conclusion, the synergy between financial technology and Islamic philanthropic instruments serves as a strategic pillar in accelerating the decline of stunting rates while simultaneously improving the economic welfare of rural communities
