Abstract

Conflict resolution is a skill that needs to be developed at this time, especially for elementary school students. Conflict resolution can help students in dealing with various problems that occur in their daily lives. This study aims to find out the development of research on conflict resolution in elementary schools by conducting a bibliometric analysis of bibliographic data on research articles indexed by Google Scholar by combining analysis in terms of the distribution of bibliometric maps using VOSviewer software. The data filtering process was carried out based on the keywords "conflict resolution and primary education" contained in the topics, titles, keywords, and abstracts. The search was carried out on articles published from 2000 to 2022. From the search results, 24 relevant articles were obtained. The results showed that most research on conflict resolution in elementary schools was conducted in 2010. Research on conflict resolution in elementary schools is still very rare. Looking at these data, the opportunity to develop research on conflict resolution in elementary schools is huge. Therefore, this research is expected to provide references and considerations in seeking further research fields, especially those related to conflict resolution in elementary schools

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of low critical thinking skills of class V students at SDN Wahir in science learning. Science learning encourages students to think at a higher level, analyze, design and create a product/work. Therefore it takes high-level thinking skills to achieve good science learning. This study aims to describe the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model that is implemented to overcome the problem of students' low critical thinking skills. This research is a qualitative research using classroom action research methods. Data were collected by observation, interviews, documentation and data acquisition were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. Researchers analyzed the data by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. This research was conducted in two cycles while the percentage of the first cycle was based on the implementation of learning with the results of students' critical thinking skills of 62.50% achieving the target of success indicators for critical thinking skills, and 68.75% of students' learning outcomes reaching the target exceeding the KKM. In cycle II there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills of 81.25% reaching the target with learning outcomes of 87.50% reaching the target above the KKM. The data shows that students' critical thinking skills in science learning have increased through the application of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Hands on Activity learning model that is applied in elementary schools (SD) on natural science subjects (IPA), the research method used in this study is quasi-experimental where the research design used was a nonrandomized pretest-posttest control group design, the sample in this study was all third grade students at SDN Cikupa as the experimental group and grade III students at SDN Linggamekar as the control group. the average test for science subjects and the school environment that have similarities. The results of the study were obtained based on the calculation of the average difference in the t test, the P-value (Sig.2-tailed) = 0.343, so the P-value value >𝛼 which means that H0 cannot be rejected. This can be interpreted that there is no difference in the average final ability of students' science process skills between the experimental and control groups. However, based on the results of the KPS observations that have been tested by U Ngain m, it shows that the U test scores Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 then H0 is rejected, this means that there is a significant difference in increasing science process skills between learning using the Hands on Activity model and the conventional model. So, it can be concluded that learning using Hands on Activity on object motion material is influenced by shape and size better than learning using a conventional approach that includes lecture, question-and-answer and experimental methods. Keywords:  Science learning, science process skills, hands on activity.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of problem solving ability of grade IV students of SDIT Cendekia Purwakarta, from 30 students only 5 students who only get the percentage of learning mastery 16,6%. One alternative approach to learning that can be used to improve students' problem solving skills is by applying the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). This approach in learning can relate learning to the real world and a problem imagined in the minds of students to be the starting point of learning, so that abstract learning can be made real by the students. This study aims to improve students' problem solving skills of grade IV SDIT Cendekia Purwakarta on the implementation of research by applying Realistic Mathematics Education. The research method used is Classroom Action Research with Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. Instruments used are student and teacher observation sheets and test problem solving abilities. Based on the results of research for 2 cycles obtained results on the cycle I percentage mastery learning students reached 56.6% with many students who complete 17 students and on the second cycle increased to 27 students who complete learning with a large percentage of 90%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of realistic mathematics education can improve the problem solving ability of elementary school students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a change in the implementation of learning that is usually face-to-face in the classroom to learning through online due to the pandemic covid-19. Therefore this study was conducted aiming to analyze the effect of online-based project based learning learning model on the resilience of students during the pandemic Covid-19. The research method used was pre-experimental with the design of one group pretest-posttest. The research population was consisting of four classes with a total of 183 students. While the sample used was only 92 students. The instruments used in this study were questionnaire instruments in accordance with indicators of resilience which were then processed statistically to answer the problem formulation in this study. The results of this study are the online-based project-based learning model that has a positive influence on student resilience while studying in the covid pandemic 19.

Abstract

Digital technology is one of the strongest driving forces in the modern economy, requiring the mastery of 21st-century skills. These skills can be developed through mathematics, as its learning process enhances students' strategic thinking. Mathematics should be taught from the elementary level to equip students with logical, analytical, systematic, critical thinking, and communication skills. Mathematical communication is especially important for elementary students to understand, express ideas, model problems, and find solutions. However, current evidence shows that students’ mathematical communication skills remain relatively low, partly due to the limited use of learning models and classroom activities designed to foster such abilities. One potential solution is the use of a problem-solving approach supported by VBA for Excel-based learning media. This combination can improve students’ mathematical understanding and enhance their 21st-century skills, particularly in mathematical communication. The use of VBA-based media provides students with visual and interactive tools to solve and communicate various mathematical problems. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the problem-solving approach and VBA for Excel media in improving elementary students’ mathematical communication skills. A quasi-experimental method was used, applying a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design in two classes at a public elementary school in Bandung, with sampling through Non-Probability Sampling techniques. The results showed that this approach effectively improved students’ mathematical communication skills. Moreover, the learning media helped optimize the learning process and received positive feedback from students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how the talking stick learning model, which is backed by Wordwall, affects primary school science students' critical thinking abilities. The background of this study is rooted in the low level of students' critical thinking skills in understanding abstract science concepts, as well as the dominance of conventional teaching methods that often do not encourage active student involvement. This model is a form of cooperative learning that emphasizes active student participation by taking turns answering questions using sticks. In this study, the model is combined with wordwall, a digital interactive platform that offers educational games as a trigger in the learning process. This study uses a free-experimental method with a pretest-posttes. The subjects of the study involved 5th grade students of SDN Padasuka 01. The instrument used was a critical thinking test based on descriptive questions that had gone through a validation and reliability process. Pretest and posttest scores differed significantly, according to the results of data analysis using the paired simple t test. Thus, the talking stick learning model supported by wordwall has demonstrated efficacy in enhancing pupils' critical thinking abilities, active involvement, analytical skills, and argumentation.
