Abstract

This study discusses the important role of character education in exploring the potential for creativity and innovation at MTs Miftahus Sudur Campor Proppo. Character education plays a key role in shaping moral values, positive attitudes, and ethics which form the basis for individuals to optimally develop creativity and innovation. In this research, several important aspects involving character education are analyzed in developing the potential for creativity and innovation. Things such as building ethical and moral foundations, developing an open attitude and critical thinking, strengthening independence and initiative, encouraging collaboration and cooperation, overcoming fear, and integrating imagination and problem solving are the main focus in understanding the role of character education in developing potential creativity and innovation. . This research provides valuable insight into how character education can be an effective tool in creating a supportive environment and facilitating the development of creative and innovative individuals.

Abstract

Implementation of a learning approach based on local wisdom at MTs Miftahus Sudur Campor Proppo increases students' interest in learning through connectedness to local culture, the relevance of learning, and strengthening cultural identity. The research method used is qualitative with interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed high student enthusiasm, better involvement, and development of critical and creative abilities. Practical recommendations include teacher training, curriculum development, school-community partnerships, and the use of information technology. This research makes an important contribution to local wisdom-based education with in-depth understanding and practical guidance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi peran media sosial dalam pembentukan opini di kalangan mahasiswa FKIP Universitas Madura dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Desain penelitian ini dipilih untuk memahami secara mendalam pandangan dan pengalaman mahasiswa terhadap media sosial serta pengaruhnya terhadap opini mereka. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan analisis konten media sosial, dengan fokus pada interaksi mahasiswa di platform seperti Facebook, Instagram, dan Twitter. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa media sosial berfungsi sebagai arena penting untuk pembentukan opini, di mana mahasiswa terlibat dalam diskusi dan pertukaran informasi yang mempengaruhi pandangan mereka. Interaksi di media sosial, termasuk partisipasi dalam diskusi dan respons terhadap konten, terbukti memperkuat atau mengubah opini mahasiswa. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi bagaimana konteks digital berbeda dari media tradisional dalam mempengaruhi opini publik. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang dinamika media sosial dalam konteks pendidikan dan pengembangan kebijakan. Keterbatasan penelitian termasuk keterbatasan sampel dan metodologi yang mungkin tidak mencakup semua aspek penggunaan media sosial. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk mengeksplorasi variasi dalam platform media sosial dan dampaknya terhadap berbagai kelompok demografis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran human capital dalam mendorong kemandirian Desa Padelegan, Kecamatan Pademawu, Kabupaten Pamekasan. Human capital, meliputi pendidikan, keterampilan, dan pengalaman masyarakat, dianggap sebagai faktor kunci dalam pembangunan pedesaan. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber di desa tersebut. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan human capital secara signifikan berkontribusi terhadap keberhasilan inisiatif pembangunan, seperti pengelolaan koperasi dan program pelatihan keterampilan. Profil human capital yang ada di Desa Padelegan, yang meliputi tingkat pendidikan dan keterampilan yang bervariasi, memberikan landasan yang kuat bagi pembangunan lebih lanjut. Meskipun demikian, tantangan terkait akses pendidikan dan pelatihan lanjutan masih perlu diatasi untuk memaksimalkan potensi yang ada. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar kebijakan desa fokus pada peningkatan investasi dalam pendidikan dan pelatihan yang relevan, serta membangun infrastruktur yang mendukung pengembangan keterampilan. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi pengembangan kebijakan dan strategi pembangunan desa yang lebih efektif, sambil mengidentifikasi keterbatasan yang perlu diperhatikan dalam penelitian mendatang

Abstract

This research explores the influence of the presidential system on political stability in Indonesia, focusing on the challenges and opportunities faced in the contemporary context. In recent years, changing political dynamics and social mobilisation through digital media have influenced patterns of political participation and polarity in society. Through qualitative and quantitative analyses, this research reveals that Indonesia's presidential system, while providing strong executive power, is often hampered by issues of political polarity and party fragmentation. The findings suggest that increased public participation, particularly among youth, is key in maintaining political stability. The research also identifies recent case studies that show how public policies that are responsive to people's aspirations can strengthen government legitimacy and create consensus among different political groups. The implications of this research suggest that policy makers need to consider structural reforms in the political system to address existing challenges and facilitate broader public engagement. Thus, political stability can be maintained in the face of the complexity of dynamic social change in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research examines a critical analysis of the formation of media narratives and student perspectives around the 2024 Presidential Election using a case study at Madura University. In a dynamic democratic framework, the media significantly influences public opinion through framing and agenda setting. This research employs a qualitative methodology using in-depth interviews to investigate students' impressions of existing media narratives. The results showed that print and digital media frame political topics in ways that can influence students' political perspectives. Although some students understand the influence of these narratives, different levels of media literacy affect their susceptibility to deception. This study underlines the importance of higher education in improving political awareness and media literacy among young people. Consequences of this study include contributions to political and communication theory, as well as recommendations for improving media literacy in educational institutions. The constraints of this study, including the limited sample coverage, underscore the need for further research to understand the influence of media narratives on different groups of society. This research aims to provide insights to policymakers and academics regarding political and media education.

Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive evaluation of the application of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) as an organisational performance measurement tool through a review of recent literature. The BSC, developed by Kaplan and Norton, is a strategic management system that links an organisation's long-term goals with relevant performance measures. This research aims to assess the effectiveness of BSC in improving organisational performance in various sectors, both public and private, and identify the challenges and advantages associated with its implementation. Through an analysis of recent studies and articles, the findings show that BSC can improve communication and collaboration between departments, and encourage employee engagement. However, challenges in setting the right indicators and resistance to change remain barriers to implementation. The article also provides recommendations for managers and practitioners in improving the effectiveness of BSC, including the importance of training, top management support, and tailoring the BSC system to the organisational context. Thus, the results of this study contribute to a better understanding of the BSC and its implications for organisational performance measurement.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of integrating Business English and soft skills in improving the competence of graduates at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Madura. By adopting a qualitative approach, this study revealed the perceptions of students and graduates regarding the relevance of these two skills in the world of work. The results show that graduates who participated in this integrated program are more confident and able to communicate effectively, both in English and interpersonal contexts. However, challenges remain in implementing this program, including limited resources and relevant teaching materials. Therefore, it is recommended that FETT Universitas Madura design a more comprehensive training program for lecturers and periodically update the curriculum in line with industry developments. This research also shows that mastery of English and soft skills not only increases the competitiveness of graduates in the job market but also contributes to the professionalism and effectiveness of teaching in the educational environment. The integration of these two skills is expected to be a model for other educational institutions to prepare competent educators who are ready to face challenges in the global era.

Abstract

The educational values that will be discussed in Agus Sunyoto Jendra Hayuningrat Pangruwating Diyu's novel are values that embody the greatness of humanity and are composed in customs, religion, culture, and local wisdom, etc. This study examines 4 (four) values of character education using the literary novel Jendra Hayuningrat Pangruwating Diyu by Agus Sunyoto as a research object. The data collection process consists of identifying, classifying, and qualitatively characterizing the data. The research data is presented as quotations of words, phrases, sentences, clauses, or discourse from the novel Agus Sunyoto Sastra Jendra Hayuningrat Pangruwating Diyu. The data is then identified, classified according to the character education environment, and given an interpretive explanation based on the theory used in this study. This research focuses on character education in the form of: 1) religion, 2) friendly/communicative, 3) scientific spirit, and 4) responsibility. In the literary novel Jendra Hayuningrat Pangruwating diyu, character education takes the form of: 1) faith which is reflected in the behavior of the character Sudrun who always tries to open the secret walls of divinity to get closer to God Almighty. 2) Sociable or communicative, shown by Sudrun's personality in building communication with everyone he meets, including teachers, friends, and people who are his students. 3). The character Sudrun shows his love for science by looking for useful information in books, holy books and ancient fairy tales. 4) Sudrun's character shows responsibility by helping individuals in trouble, caring for foundlings, and rescuing dogs that are near death. Abstract

Mitos sebagai bagian dari kehidupan merupakan salah satu inspirasi lahirnya suatu cipta sastra.  Seringkali mitos dijadikan bahan untuk menulis sastra oleh pengarang.namun demikian, asumsi korelasi antara realitas dan sastra, hadirnya mitos dalam cipta sastra telah melalui sebuah proses kreatif. Fenomena mitos melalui sebuah pemahaman dan interpretasi yang baru. Hal tersebut pada tahap akhir  sampai pada wujud kontramitos. Oleh karena itu, wajib dipahami bahwa fenomena mitos itu sendiri seringkali dihadapkan dengan kontramitos pada perjalanan sejarah di dalam masyarakat. Salah satu karya sastra yang kental dengan fenomena mitos adalah Novel Mantra Penjinak Ular karya Kuntowijoyo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskripsi analisis. Teks data yang akan digunakan bersumber dari data teks Novel Mantra Penjinak Ular karya Kuntowijoyo, kemudian dianalisis dan dideskripsikan sesuai konteks yang dituju yaitu mitos dan kontramitos dalam Novel Mantra Penjinak Ular karya Kuntowijoyo. Mitos dalam novel Mantra Penjinak Ular lebih kental dengan mitos-mitos yang bersifat kosmologis, yaitu mitos yang berhubungan dengan alam, hal ini tentu saja mempengaruhi alam pikiran orang jawa dalam menentukan arah menghadap sebuah rumah, pemberian nama anak, angka, serta peruntungan sedangkan kontramitos dalam novel Mantra Penjinak Ular Kuntowijoyo mengajak masyarakat untuk meninggalkan mantra-mantra yang berbasis mitos, mistik, dan klenik.Kata kunci: mantra, novel, mitos
