Abstract

Mathematics learning will run optimally if it is supported by the use of learning media in accordance with learning objectives and student needs. One of them is the application of learning media through Macromedia Flash to improve students' mathematical understanding. This type of research is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research). This research was conducted in class V of MI Al Washliyah Jangungan in the even semester of the 2020/2021 school year. The subjects of this study were students of class V with a total of 16 children. The object of this research is the learning process by applying learning media based on Macromedia Flash. The results of this study indicate that the application of learning media based on Macromedia Flash 8 in building materials is able to improve students' mathematical understanding with a percentage of 94% of 16 students, which can be categorized in the "Very Strong" category. His learning outcomes also increased from the average value of 80.4 in cycle 1 to 87,625 in cycle 2 and was declared "Completed".

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the impact of utilizing the liveworksheet interactive e-module on the comprehension of equal fractions among fourth-grade pupils. This study employed a quantitative methodology, utilizing a quasi-experimental design. The research design employed is a posttest control only-control group design. The sample size for this study consisted of 26 children who were in the 4th grade at SDN 2 Kejambon. The investigation employed a simple random sampling technique. The instrument comprised six descriptive questions. The data analysis was conducted using a T-test as a prerequisite test, including normality and homogeneity tests, with the assistance of SPSS software. The results obtained from the T-test analysis include a t-value of 2.311 and a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.030, which is less than 0.05. The results obtained from the T-test investigation include a t-value of 2.311 and a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.030, which is less than 0.05. The liveworksheet interactive e-module was found to have an impact on the comprehension of the Equal fraction idea. Subsequently, invalid hypothesis (H0) that is "There is no significant difference in 4th grade student mathematic comprehension, both liveworksheet interactive e-module and video-based learning.", rejected. Whereas the first hypothesis (H1), that stated "There is significant difference in 4th grade student's mathematic comprehension, between liveworksheet interactive e-module and video-based learning", considered as valid.

Abstract

Literacy skills are one of the 21st-century abilities which have an essential function in preparing students to face various global demands and challenges characterized by advances in technology and information, which are developing very rapidly and affecting all areas of human life. However, the literacy skills of elementary school students in Indonesia were still in the low category. This research aims to analyze the impact and activities of differentiated learning on elementary school students' literacy abilities. This research used mixed methods. The research design used was a sequential explanatory design. This design was implemented by collecting and analyzing quantitative data through survey techniques and then collecting and analyzing qualitative data through observation and in-depth interview techniques. The data analysis technique used in this research involved statistical techniques for quantitative data, while for qualitative data used three steps namely a) selecting and grouping, b) presenting, and c) concluding the data. The research results showed that differentiated learning activities significantly affect elementary school students' literacy skills. This approach allows learning activities relevant to student's needs and interests, thereby creating a more optimal learning environment and supporting the development of literacy skills at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze: 1) the implementation of a contextual approach to mathematics learning in perimeter of plane figures material to increase the motivation and numeracy skills of third-grade students at Cawan Jatinom Klaten Elementary School, 2) the increase in students' learning motivation after implementing the contextual approach, and 3) the improvement in students' numeracy skills following its application. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, comprising planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects consisted of 12 third-grade students, and data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that the contextual learning approach, implemented through the use of measuring tapes and real objects inside and outside the classroom, successfully increased students' engagement and understanding of perimeter concepts. Students became more active and motivated; the classroom atmosphere became more conducive to learning, and instruction shifted from a teacher-centred to a student-centred approach. After two cycles of intervention, students' numeracy skills improved, as the hands-on use of real objects helped them grasp concepts such as length, width, and circumference more easily. It is recommended that the contextual learning approach be applied in other classes or explored further to enhance mathematics teaching methods in general.

Abstract

The application of Digital Interactive Learning Media in the fourth grade of SDN 001 Tarempa aims to enhance students' understanding of historical material, which is crucial for building awareness of national identity and culture. However, students often face challenges in conventional history learning, such as a lack of interest and engagement, leading to low comprehension. This study employs a quantitative approach with an experimental design, where data is collected through tests to measure understanding, questionnaires to observe student responses, and observations of the learning process. It is hoped that the results of this research will demonstrate the effectiveness of interactive learning media in improving students' historical comprehension and contribute significantly to the development of more engaging and effective teaching methods at the elementary education level.
