Abstract

The bacteria found in the rhizosphere are called plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), namely bacteria that can stimulate plant growth by producing growth hormones, one of which is the hormone indole acetic acid (IAA) which plays a role in regulating plant growth and development. Five isolates of rhizosphere bacteria were isolated on frangipani roots (P26, P31, P36, P37 and P38). Previous research showed that five bacterial isolates were capable of producing the hormone IAA. However, evidence of its potential as a PGPR has not been obtained. Therefore, the aim of this study was to test the effect of inoculation of rhizosphere bacteria on maize plants. The research method uses a quantitative experimental method, namely 15 repetitions for each treatment. Data collection was carried out 1 day after planting (HTS) until the 14th day. Data were analyzed using a 95% confidence student t-test or with a significance level of 5% (a=0.05). This inoculation begins with germinating maize seeds and observing the roots. The germinated maize seeds are then soaked in the bacterial suspension for one hour at room temperature. The results showed that inoculation with isolates P36, P37 and P38 significantly increased the height of maize plants, while isolate P37 significantly increased the number of leaves and root length of corn plants, isolate P38 could significantly increase the number of roots of corn plants.Thus, these results support the evidence that rhizosphere bacteria from frangipani have an effect on increasing the growth of maize plants

Abstract

Legundi (Vitex trifolia) is one of the crucial ethno-pharmacological plants. However, the genetic exploration of these plants in Indonesia remains limited. Moreover, a set of primers can be an initial important step to explore the genetics of V. trifolia as well as to molecularly identify the species of Legundi. This study aimed to develop the two pairs of primers of maturase-K (matK) and ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase large subunit (rbcL) genes. This type of research is exploratory research using a quantitative approach. The research sampling are the leaves of the V. trifolia species, which were collected from Makassar, Indonesia, and the purposive sampling method. The data were obtained through DNA barcoding, and the data were analyzed using bioinformatics analysis. This study found two pairs of developed primers, matK and rbcL, successfully amplified both matK and rbcL target genes of V. trifolia. The newly developed species-specific primers successfully amplified the matK and rbcL genes of V. trifolia, and sequence analysis revealed high similarity values in BLAST and BOLD databases ranging from 99.2 to 100%, with PCR amplification of the matK marker showing particularly high DNA concentration and specificity for species-level identification. This study supports the genetic exploration and identification of useful ethno-pharmacy plants, V. trifolia. The conclusion of the study shows that two primer pairs of maturase-K (matK) and ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase large subunit (rbcL) genes have been developed from V. trifolia plants. This study supports the genetic exploration and identification of ethnopharmaceutical plants of V. trifolia and the role of bioinformatics tools in molecular studies of medicinal plants.

Abstract

Background: Improving the quality of learning in elementary schools depends heavily on teachers' ability to develop high-quality, innovative, and student-centered teaching materials. Observations indicate that many elementary school teachers in Madiun City still face challenges in developing high-quality teaching materials, due to limited time, creativity, and a lack of understanding of the ideal standards for developing such materials. Elementary school teachers in Madiun City require comprehensive training. The purpose of this training is to implement and analyze the effectiveness of a training program for developing high-quality AI-assisted teaching materials that meet the needs of elementary school teachers. Method: This community service program is implemented by UNIPMA lecturers. The target participants are 50 elementary school teachers in Madiun City. This community service program uses a two-month participatory approach through four stages: outreach, training in developing teaching materials, training in using AI, and monitoring and evaluation. Results: The data showed that 96% of teachers understood the concept of developing high-quality teaching materials, 94% could use AI applications to create digital textbooks, and 92% expressed satisfaction with the community service team's service. Conclusions: The implementation of AI-assisted training to develop high-quality teaching materials was effective in improving teachers' competence while also encouraging more creative, adaptive learning aligned with the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

Penggunaan insektisida kimia yang berlebihan sejauh ini banyak menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi lingkungan. Salah satu solusi pengendalian hayati larva nyamuk Culex sp. ialah menggunakan jamur Metarhizium anisopliae yang ramah lingkungan. Pengendalian hayati merupakan salah satu upaya pemberantasan hama dengan memanfaatkan mikroorganisme atau tumbuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis LC50 dan LC90 larva instar III nyamuk Culex sp. yang diperlakukan dengan beberapa macam serial konsentrasi jamur Metarhizium anisopliae. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian laboratoris. Variabel bebas pada penelitian adalah beberapa macam serial konsentrasi jamur Metarhizium anisopliae, sedangkan variabel terikatnya ialah mortalitas larva instar III nyamuk Culex sp.. Data hasil penelitian ini adalah mortalitas larva instar III nyamuk Culex sp. yang diamati selama 48 jam, selanjutnya data tersebut diuji dengan menggunakan analisis Probit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LC50 dan LC90 larva instar III nyamuk Culex sp. yang diperlakukan dengan beberapa macam serial konsentrasi jamur Metarhizium anisopliae berturut-turut adalah 8,782% dan 14,674%.

Abstract

The weakness of online learning in human anatomy and physiology courses is that the expected final ability cannot be achieved which has an impact on the quality of learning that is less and less than optimal output. There needs to be a learning process in which there is the use of integrated learning media, innovative learning approaches, one of which is the approach of science, environment, technology, and society. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning SETS integrated with learning media on students' critical thinking skills. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The results of the study showed that there was an effect of learning SETS integrated learning media on students' thinking skills with a significance value of anaova test of 0.00. The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive influence between the use of SETS learning integrated with learning media on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The use of multimedia microbiology teaching materials integrated with STEM to empower students' critical thinking and communication skills has not been carried out optimally. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of STEM (M-STEM) integrated multimedia microbiology teaching materials on students' critical thinking and communication skills. The study method is quasi-experimental through a non-equivalent control group design pretest-posttest research design. The independent variable of the study is M-STEM microbiology teaching materials, and the dependent variable of the study is students' critical thinking and communication skills. The research sample was students from the Biology Education Study Program at IKIP Budi Utomo who were taking a Microbiology course. Class A is the research experimental class and class B is the control class. The research instrument was a multiple-choice type test for pretest and posttest questions. The research data are pre-test and post-test scores from the experimental class and control class which will be tested for prerequisites (normality and homogeneity) first and then will be tested with the ANAKOVA test with SPSS. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of STEM (M-STEM) integrated multimedia microbiology teaching materials on students' critical thinking skills (sig<0.05) and student communication (sig<0.05). The research concludes that multimedia-integrated STEM (M-STEM) microbiology teaching materials have a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills and communication.

Abstract

STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) based textbooks and Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning models have never been developed by school educators. STEM education-PjBL can provide meaningful learning for students in understanding concepts and exploring through project activities. The aim of the research is to produce a biology textbook based on STEM education-PjBL on Plantae material that meets valid criteria. This type of research is development research and uses the Thiagarajan 4D development model consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, this research is limited to the develop stage. The research instruments used were a needs analysis questionnaire, a material expert validation questionnaire, and a learning media expert validation questionnaire. The results of the research show that the STEM education-PjBL-based biology textbook on Plantae material is declared very valid and appropriate in terms of material (91%) and learning media (99%). This STEM education-PjBL based biology textbook can be recommended as a learning resource in biology learning and a reference for teachers and other researchers if they want to develop a book by integrating learning approaches and models where the learning approach or model is integrated with the subject matter.

Abstract

Interactive e-LKPD based on games assisted by the Wizer.me website has never been developed by educators in schools. Interactive e-LKPD based on games assisted by the Wizer.me website is thought to increase students' motivation to learn. The purpose of the study was to produce interactive e-LKPD based on games assisted by the Wizer.me website on the human digestive system material. The type of research is development research with the Thiagarajan development model consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, this study is limited to the develop stage. The research instruments are a needs analysis questionnaire, an evaluation expert validation questionnaire, and a learning media expert validation questionnaire. Interactive e-LKPD based on games assisted by the Wizer.me website on the human digestive system material is declared very valid and feasible in terms of evaluation questions (98%) and learning media (97%). Interactive e-LKPD based on games assisted by the Wizer.me website can be recommended as one of the tools to develop student skills, especially Generation Z where teachers can create more interesting and dynamic learning experiences through the use of technology and digital tools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan game edukasi Kahoot berbantuan Augmented Reality (AR) Sketchfab untuk meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar siswa pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia di kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahapan analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari wawancara, angket validasi ahli materi dan evaluasi, angket kepraktisan, kuesioner, serta pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa game edukasi Kahoot berbantuan AR Sketchfab memenuhi kriteria valid dan layak digunakan dari aspek materi (93,68), aspek evaluasi Pendidikan (94,67), dan uji coba kepraktisan (91,2%). Nilai signifikansi adalah kurang dari 0,001, jauh di bawah batas signifikansi 0,05 artinya terdapat perbedaan yang sangat signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest, serta efektif dalam meningkatkan minat (91,05%) dan motivasi (89,90%) belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, media ini dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran IPA untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih interaktif dan menarik.

Abstract

Diperlukan alternatif penanggulangan hama tanaman dengan menggunakan pestisida nabati yang bersifat ramah lingkungan dan dapat di produksi secara lokal.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi ekstrak daun Ocimum basilicum dan Tithonia diversifolia terhadap mortalitas (Nilaparvata lugens) pada (Capsicum frutescens). Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 9 konsentrasi perlakuan (5%–45%) dan satu kontrol, masing-masing diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Parameter yang diamati adalah persentase mortalitas wereng setelah 72 jam aplikasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji ANOVA, dilanjutkan dengan uji LSD pada taraf 5%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi ekstrak ekstrak O. basilicum dan T. diversifolia memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap mortalitas wereng coklat (p < 0,05). Mortalitas tertinggi tercatat pada konsentrasi 45%, yaitu sebesar 90%, yang berbeda nyata dibandingkan dengan konsentrasi lebih rendah.. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi ekstrak O. basilicum dan T. diversifolia berpotensi sebagai insektisida nabati yang efektif dan ramah lingkungan dalam pengendalian hama wereng coklat.
