Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik yang diajar menggunakan lembar kerja peserta didik dengan metode penemuan terbimbing ditinjau dari self confidence siswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mendeskripsikan interaksi antara kemampuan berpikir kritis yang memiliki self confidence tingi dan rendah yang diajar menggunakan LKPD dan tanpa LKPD dengan metode penemuan terbimbing Penelitian ini melibatkan 40 siswa kelas VI Sekolah Dasar sebagai sampel penelitian yang diperoleh melalui teknik random sampling. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan memilih desain faktorial eksperimen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket self confidence dan tes keterampilan berpikir kritis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yang diajar menggunakan metode penemuan terbimbing berbantuan LKPD dengan tanpa LKPD. (2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik yang memiliki self confidence tinggi dengan rendah. (3) terdapat interaksi antara kemapuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan self confidance tingi dan rendah melalu penggunaan LKPD dan tanpa LKPD dengan metode penemuan terbimbing berbantuan. (4) Penelitian ini menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara peserta didik yang memiliki self confidence tinggi dengan self confidence rendah yang diajar dengan metode penemuan terbimbing berbantuan LKPD. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara peserta didik yang memiliki self confidence tinggi dengan self confidence rendah yang diajar dengan metode penemuan terbimbing tanpa bantuan LKPD. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan LKPD dengan metode penemuan terbimbing dapat diterapkan dalam rangka melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dengan memperhatikan aspek self confidence siswa dalam proses pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) berbantuan media audio-visual siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V sekolah dasar yang berjumlah 45 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dan angket untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar matematika siswa. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis data statistik deskripstif menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika kelas eksperimen adalah 88,26 dan untuk kelas kontrol adalah 72,38 dengan skor N-Gain masing-masing sebesar 0,80 dan 0,55 dimana peningkatannya berada pada kategori tinggi dan sedang. Sementara skor rata-rata motivasi belajar matematika untuk kelas eksperimen adalah 83,44 dan untuk kelas kontrol adalah 75,51 dengan skor N-Gain masing-masing 0,77 dan 0,53 dimana masing-masing berada pada kategori tingi dan sedang. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Sementara untuk peningkatan motivasi belajar matematika siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berada pada kategori tinggi pula dibandingkan penerapan pembelajaran konvensional yang berada pada kategori sedang. Dengan demikian, terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar matematika dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Sementara untuk pembelajaran konvensional, baik kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika maupun motivasi belajar matematika siswa peningkatannya berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

This article explores the implementation of programs aimed at instilling the spirit of nationalism and love for the homeland in the young generation of Indonesian immigrants in the Sentul area of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The urgency lies in fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of nationalism and patriotism among these young individuals, who often face challenges in accessing education due to incomplete essential documents. This study uses initial assessments through observations and interviews, collaborative educational sessions with local guidance centers, and interactive activities such as discussions, quizzes, and cultural events. Significant results show an increase in the young immigrants awareness and embodiment of national values, demonstrated by a stronger sense of identity and connection to their homeland. Tailored educational approaches that integrate Indonesia struggle for independence, national symbols, and cultural heritage play a critical role in maintaining national identity among immigrant populations. Continuous efforts are necessary to ensure that the younger generation remains connected to their heritage and develops a robust nationalistic spirit, even when living abroad.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of CSR, GCG, and Company Size on the profitability and firm value of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. With a sample of 234 companies using purposive sampling, the study adopts a quantitative descriptive and explanatory approach, applying SEM for hypothesis testing. The results indicate a positive influence of CSR on firm value, while GCG and company size negatively affect profitability. Other findings include the negative impact of GCG and company size on firm value and the positive influence of CSR on firm value through profitability. The implication is that companies need to consider CSR, GCG, and company size in their strategies to enhance value and investment attractiveness.

Abstract

This study investigates the numeracy literacy skills of fifth-grade elementary students in comprehending and solving mathematical word problems. Conducted from February to April 2025, the research adopts a qualitative approach using a case study method. Four students participated two from SD Telkom Makassar and two from SD Islam Athirah Makassar. Data were gathered through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and a literacy-based numeracy test. The test focused on four key competencies: generalizing, conjecturing, justifying, and convincing. To enhance the credibility of the results, data triangulation was applied across sources, methods, and time. The objective of this research is to understand how students engage in mathematical reasoning and identify the obstacles they face in progressing through the stages of problem-solving. The findings show that students who successfully solved problems were those who could interpret the context, recognize patterns, and explain their reasoning clearly. However, several participants were only able to conjecture or identify patterns but struggled to justify or convince others of their solutions. In conclusion, this study emphasizes the importance of developing instructional strategies that focus not only on producing correct answers but also on enhancing students’ reasoning processes. A key contribution of this research is its in-depth analysis of students’ thinking errors, particularly in structuring operations and maintaining accuracy in word problem responses.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the mathematical elements embedded in the local traditions of the Maros Regency community, South Sulawesi, and analyze how these elements can be integrated into mathematics learning at the senior high school level. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing semi-structured interviews with teachers, students, and community figures, along with direct observations of local cultural phenomena. The findings reveal that cultural practices such as traditional weaving patterns, measurement systems in vernacular architecture, and traditional fishing navigation involve mathematical concepts such as symmetry, patterns, ratios, coordinate systems, and estimation. Interviews showed that both teachers and students responded positively to the ethnomathematics approach, although its implementation remains limited due to a lack of training and culturally relevant teaching materials. Meanwhile, community elders served as vital knowledge holders in bridging the understanding between culture and mathematical concepts. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating local culture into education to enhance relevance, conceptual understanding, and to foster students’ cultural identity and pride. The study recommends the development of a structured and sustainable contextual learning model based on local cultural heritage

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of differentiated learning through guided inquiry model on problem-solving ability and science learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri Borongkaramasa in Gowa Regency. This study is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of SD Gugus 5, Pallangga District, Gowa Regency in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research sample was fifth grade students of SDN Borongkaramasa with a random sampling technique. The data collection technique in this study was the test and documentation technique. This study was conducted by providing a pretest as an initial result before being given treatment and at the end of the meeting a posttest was given as a result of the treatment. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS v.28 application by looking for the results of the normality test, homogeneity test and Independent Sample t-Test to test the hypothesis. Research results (1) There is an influence of differentiated learning through guided inquiry model on the problem solving ability of science subjects of class V of Borongkaramasa Elementary School in Pallangga District, Gowa Regency. (2) There is an influence of differentiated learning through guided inquiry model on the learning outcomes of science subjects of class V of Borongkaramasa Elementary School in Pallangga District, Gowa Regency. (3) It can be concluded that there is an influence of differentiated learning through guided inquiry model on the problem solving ability and learning outcomes of science subjects of class V of Borongkaramasa Elementary School in Gowa Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the conceptual understanding procedures model on understanding mathematical concepts in fifth-grade students at Minasa Upa Elemantary School. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach with the type of research pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design The sampling technique in this research is cluster random sampling. The sample in this study was VC class students, totaling 22 people. Collecting data using observation and concept understanding tests. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of students' understanding of mathematical concepts before using the conceptual understanding procedures model was 57.32 in the low category and the average learning outcomes after using the conceptual understanding procedures model was 87.05 in the high category. In addition, based on the results of the normality test which states that the data is normally distributed, the data is homogeneous and the results of the hypothesis test obtained a significant value of 0.001 with a significant rate of 0.05. In addition, the results of the study are supported by the results of the t-test, while the results of t-count - 9,635 and t table -2,080 so the result states that t count > t table. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the conceptual understanding procedures model on the understanding of mathematical concepts in fifth-grade students of Minasa Upa Elementary School.

Abstract

Membuat soal tentu bukan hal yang mudah. Selama ini masih banyak guru yang kurang terampil dalam membuat tes atau soal sesuai dengan kriteria. Hal ini disebabkan selama ini tidak semua guru dilibatkan dalam pembuatan soal terutama di sekolah dasar, tetapi dibuat secara terpusat pada tingkat kabupaten atau kecamatan, tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui  pemahaman konsep materi ajar, pemahaman kaidah penulisan dan  pengalaman menulis soal terhadap kualitas soal IPS, Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kolerasional, yaitu pengaruh antara variable bebas terhadap variable terikat. Penelitian yang dilakukan bermaksud untuk mengetahui pengaruh antar variabel, yakni berupa pemahaman konsep materi ajar guru, pemahaman kaidah penulisan soal, dan pengalaman menulis soal, terhadap kualitas soal guru. Populasi atau subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru Kelas tinggi (Kelas IV, V, VI) dalam Kecamatan Tinggimoncong Kabupaten Gowa tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Populasi tersebut berjumlah 153 orang dan sampel berjumlah 75 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling yakni pengambilan sampel secara acak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman materi ajar, pemahaman kaidah penulisan soal, pengalaman menulis soal memiliki pengaruh sangat besar terhadap kualitas soal IPS yang standarisasinya dapat memunjukkan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran ini sebesar 91%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Problem Based Learning-Audio Visual approach in improving science skills. The research method used is quantitative. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study was fourth-grade students in one of the elementary schools in Maros Regency, amounting to 44 people. Data collection techniques used tests to determine students' science problem-solving abilities. The data collected were analyzed quantitatively using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of descriptive statistical data analysis showed that the average value of the scientific problem-solving ability of the experimental class was 88.26, and the control class was 72.38. At the same time, the results of inferential statistical data analysis showed the value of sig. On problem solving ability less than 0.05 with a t value of 10.228 greater than t table 1.681. This means that there is an increase in the ability to solve science problems through applying the Problem Based Learning-Audio Visual approach.
