Abstract

In facing the challenging digital era, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) specializing in Dodol Kentang in Kerinci experience pressure to remain competitive. This research explores the potential enhancement of competitiveness for Dodol Kentang SMEs by implementing modernization and educational strategies. The primary focus of this research is to preserve traditional values while addressing them innovatively. Through the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, business owners, academics, and local communities collaborate to identify constraints, formulate common goals, and plan and implement improvement measures. Education is a key component in equipping business owners with knowledge of modernization and the use of digital technology, aimed at improving production efficiency, online marketing, and business management. Product modernization is carried out through packaging evaluation, halal labeling, and the addition of flavor variations. These steps are expected to make Dodol Kentang SMEs more relevant in the national market while preserving the essence of traditional values. The results of this research are expected to contribute positively to the sustainability of Dodol Kentang SMEs, enhance their competitiveness in the digital era, and support the preservation of traditional cultural heritage in Kerinci Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze lexical variation between Baduy and Priangan Sundanese and to explain how sociocultural factors shape lexical choices, language use, and speaker identity. A qualitative approach with a descriptive–comparative design was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, natural conversation recordings, and document analysis involving native speakers in Kanekes (Baduy) and the Priangan region (Bandung, Tasikmalaya, Garut, and Cianjur). The data were analyzed through data reduction, comparative data display, and lexical analysis using theoretical frameworks from contact linguistics and ecolinguistics to examine the influence of isolation, modernization, and language contact.The findings reveal that Baduy Sundanese preserves archaic vocabulary (e.g., kula, kakang), distinctive particles (mah, pan, teh), and specific semantic distinctions, such as the meaning of saung as a primary dwelling. In contrast, Priangan Sundanese reflects modernization and codification through the use of more standardized forms and stronger influence from Indonesian. Additional differences were observed in phonology (vowel lengthening), morphology (retention of traditional derivational forms), syntax (frequent subject/object omission), and levels of Indonesian interference. Sociocultural factors underlying these variations include the geographical isolation of the Baduy community, strong adherence to tradition, politeness norms, and the Priangan community’s openness to modern education and external contact. Overall, lexical choices function as markers of linguistic identity: the Baduy community demonstrates linguistic conservatism as a form of resistance to homogenization, whereas Priangan speakers exhibit adaptation to modernity. These findings contribute to studies on Sundanese variation, contact linguistics, and ecolinguistics, while supporting efforts to preserve endangered dialects. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis variasi leksikal antara Bahasa Sunda Baduy dan Priangan serta menjelaskan pengaruh faktor sosiokultural terhadap pilihan leksikal, penggunaan bahasa, dan identitas penuturnya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif-komparatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, perekaman percakapan alami, dan studi dokumen yang melibatkan penutur asli di Kanekes (Baduy) dan wilayah Priangan (Bandung, Tasikmalaya, Garut, dan Cianjur). Data dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dalam tabel komparatif, serta analisis leksikal berbasis teori linguistik kontak dan ekolinguistik untuk menelusuri pengaruh isolasi, modernisasi, dan kontak bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Bahasa Sunda Baduy mempertahankan kosakata arkais seperti kula dan kakang, partikel khas seperti mah, pan, dan teh, serta sejumlah perbedaan semantis, misalnya makna saung sebagai rumah utama. Sebaliknya, Bahasa Sunda Priangan memperlihatkan kecenderungan modernisasi dan kodifikasi melalui penggunaan bentuk baku serta dipengaruhi lebih kuat oleh Bahasa Indonesia. Ditemukan pula perbedaan fonologis (pemanjangan vokal), morfologis (penggunaan bentuk turunan tradisional), sintaksis (penghilangan subjek/objek), serta tingkat interferensi bahasa Indonesia yang berbeda antar kedua komunitas. Faktor sosiokultural yang memengaruhi variasi ini meliputi isolasi geografis Baduy, keterikatan pada tradisi, norma kesantunan, serta keterbukaan Priangan terhadap pendidikan modern dan interaksi eksternal. Secara keseluruhan, pilihan leksikal berfungsi sebagai penanda identitas: komunitas Baduy mempertahankan konservatisme linguistik sebagai bentuk resistensi terhadap homogenisasi, sedangkan komunitas Priangan menampilkan adaptasi terhadap modernitas. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada kajian variasi Sunda, linguistik kontak, dan ekolinguistik, sekaligus mendukung upaya pelestarian dialek yang terancam punah.

Abstract

This article provides an in-depth analysis of the concept and implementation of human rights in Islamic history, highlighting how the fundamental principles contained in Islamic teachings have contributed to the development of universal ideas about human rights. This study uses a qualitative method with a content analysis approach, where data sources are obtained from normative theories, expert opinions, and relevant previous research findings. All data were analyzed thematically using Miles and Huberman's technique to find patterns, categories, and consistent meanings in the text. This study traces the historical roots of the concept of human rights in Islam, the development of classical and contemporary scholars' thinking, and highlights the implementation of these values in social, political, and legal practices throughout various periods of Islamic history. The results of the study show that Islam has a conceptual framework that emphasizes justice, equality, protection of human dignity, and social responsibility in line with modern human rights principles. In addition, this article asserts that the understanding and application of human rights from an Islamic perspective can be an important foundation for global harmony, particularly in efforts to build a more inclusive cross-cultural and interfaith dialogue. Thus, this study not only contributes academically to the study of human rights in Islam, but also offers an alternative perspective that is relevant to the strengthening of universal human values in the contemporary era.

Abstract

This research is motivated by student behavior problems such as the presence of students who lack attention in following lessons, the existence of students who have low motivation to do assignments, and the existence of students who do not have a clear learning direction or goals. This study aims to find out 1). Describe the learning interests of class XI phase F students at SMA N 1 Bonjol. 2). Describe the maturity of career selection of class XI phase F students at SMAN 1 Bonjol. 3). Testing the relationship between interest in learning and the maturity of career selection of class XI phase F students at SMAN 1 Bonjol. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research population was all students of class XI phase F, with a total of 313 with a simple random sampling technique or random sampling which produced a total of 175 respondents according to the research criteria. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship with a value of -0.202 < of a p-value of 0.007 with a weak correlation level. Based on these results, it is recommended for students to continue to increase their interest in learning in the maturity of career selection in order to support success in the learning process. For guidance and counseling teachers to continue to encourage and motivate students to be able to increase their interest in learning and the maturity of career selection in the school environment.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi masyarakat Desa Pasi Timon adalah belum termanfaatkannya limbah kulit pisang sebagai sumber ekonomi serta rendahnya keterampilan produksi dan pemasaran digital. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilakukan untuk memberikan solusi melalui pelatihan pengolahan kulit pisang menjadi teh herbal bernilai ekonomi dan penguatan kemampuan pemasaran digital bagi masyarakat. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif, meliputi sosialisasi, demonstrasi proses produksi, pendampingan praktik langsung, pelatihan desain kemasan, serta pelatihan penggunaan media sosial sebagai sarana pemasaran. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan peserta dalam mengolah kulit pisang menjadi teh herbal serta meningkatnya pemahaman mereka mengenai strategi pemasaran digital. Peserta mampu menghasilkan produk siap jual dan mempromosikannya melalui media sosial dengan respon positif dari calon konsumen. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan berbasis potensi lokal dan pemanfaatan teknologi digital mampu meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam kewirausahaan. Program ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemberdayaan melalui pelatihan produksi dan pemasaran digital efektif dalam mendorong kemandirian ekonomi desa dan dapat dijadikan model pengembangan UMKM berbasis potensi lokal.

Abstract

This study examines the legal protection perceived by the people of Medan City regarding the installation of electricity poles, with a focus on the company responsible for installing them, namely the State Electricity Company (PLN). The background of this research is based on the limited public knowledge of legal provisions governing both corporate and state authority, as well as the inconsistency between electricity infrastructure development and citizens’ land rights and safety guarantees. These conditions often lead to problems such as land disputes or disturbances caused by electricity poles located on privately owned property. The purpose of this study is to analyze the forms of legal protection regulated under Law Number 30 of 2009 on Electricity and to identify the obstacles and solutions in its implementation in Medan City. This research uses an empirical juridical approach with a case study method, involving the analysis of legal documents, interviews with residents to examine the reality of legal protection, interviews with company representatives to understand the actual mechanisms for pole installation and the protection measures applied, and direct field observations at pole installation sites. The results of the study indicate that the reality of legal protection for residents remains relatively weak, particularly in the processes of permit management and the fulfillment of compensation. This is reflected in cases involving PLN that have generated public complaints regarding a lack of transparency and limited public participation. The study concludes that there is a need to educate the community to participate more actively and to improve their understanding of legal protection as consumers, as well as to recognize the gap between regulatory frameworks and their practical implementation in providing legal protection

Abstract

Digital transformation has changed the economic landscape and opened up huge opportunities for student entrepreneurship. This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge, achievement motivation, self-efficacy, family environment, and digital literacy on the entrepreneurial interest of students of the Faculty of Economics, Nahdlatul Ulama University of North Sumatra (UNUSU) in the digital era. This research is a quantitative research with active student subjects of the Faculty of Economics UNUSU. Primary data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires and analyzed to see the influence of these variables both partially and simultaneously on entrepreneurial interest. The results of this research are expected to make a theoretical contribution to the development of entrepreneurial management science as well as practical benefits for universities in designing entrepreneurship coaching programs that are adaptive to digital technology. The limitations of this study are focused on measuring entrepreneurial interest and do not analyze real business performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi potensi kearifan lokal masyarakat Kerinci sebagai sumber belajar Kimia Dasar di perguruan tinggi. Berangkat dari tantangan globalisasi yang menyebabkan terkikisnya budaya lokal dan rendahnya relevansi pembelajaran kimia dengan kehidupan nyata, pendekatan etnokimia sebagai solusi inovatif untuk mengintegrasikan ilmu kimia dengan nilai-nilai budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif naturalistik dengan jenis penelitian etnografi, melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles Huberman serta analisis tema budaya Spradley. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berbagai praktik budaya masyarakat Kerinci, seperti tradisi bapanteh, pembakaran kemenyan dalam upacara adat, fermentasi tapai ketan, konsumsi serbuk daun kawo, dan pembuatan gula enau, memiliki relevansi konsep dengan materi kimia seperti ikatan kimia, perubahan fisika dan kimia,pemisahan campuran, kimia larutan, dan senyawa organik. Pendekatan analogi, apersepsi, representasi, visualisasi, dan interpretasi budaya digunakan untuk memahami konsep kimia dengan pengalaman siswa lokal. Integrasi etnokimia dapat meningkatkan minat, motivasi, pemahaman konsep, serta membangun kesadaran dan apresiasi terhadap nilai-nilai budaya lokal. Temuan ini mendukung teori belajar konstruktivisme dan menunjukkan bahwa keterkaitan antara budaya lokal dan materi kimia mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar dalam ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Oleh karena itu, etnokimia layak dijadikan sumber belajar alternatif yang secara ilmiah dan berkontribusi terhadap pelestarian budaya Indonesia.
