Abstract

This study deals with the factors affecting students’ English speaking ability at Politeknik LP3I Medan. It uses qualitative research design with a single case study to gain an understanding on this study. It is conducted descriptively. This study aims to know the factors affecting students’ English speaking ability at Politeknik LP3I Medan. The subjects were 20 students (males and females) of Politeknik LP3I Medan. The instruments in this study were observation and interview. The theories of Brown (1994: 4) are divided some factors which affect speaking, they are Chronological Age, Grammar, Vocabulary, Fluency, and Comprehension. There are three factors affecting students’ English speaking ability at Politeknik LP3I Medan. They are fluency, vocabulary and English environment and an additional factor that found by researcher as a new insight in this research is English environment. Abstract

Transaction Processing System (TPS) menjadi salah satu aspek yang menyusun keuangan perusahaan. TPS adalah bagian penting dari sistem pendukung operasi yang mengolah dan merekam data transaksi bisnis. Dengan adanya sistem pemrosesan transaksi perusahaan dapat mengawasi atau memonitor, menghimpun, menyimpan dan memproses seluruh data transaksi bisnis perusahaan. Perusahaan perdagangan sangat bergantung pada proses pembelian barang, yang menjadi usaha untuk memperoleh barang yang diperlukan oleh perusahaan. Pembelian ini dilakukan sebagai tanggapan terhadap permintaan barang yang akan diproduksi untuk menghasilkan keuntungan. CV. KPP Technology Solution mengalami kerugian akibat pembelian yang sering dilakukan tanpa perencanaan yang baik, mengakibatkan pemborosan bahan baku, waktu, dan sumber daya perusahaan. Solusi yang diusulkan adalah menerapkan TPS berbasis web dan mobile. Pelaksanaan TPS berbasis web dan mobile diharapkan dapat membantu CV. KPP Technology Solution mengatasi masalah dalam proses pembelian mereka. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan mereka dapat lebih efisien dalam manajemen bahan baku, waktu, dan keuangan perusahaan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student responses to the use of a biochemistry e-module on carbohydrate material and its impact on learning independence. This quantitative descriptive research involved 40 students from the Biology and Chemistry study programs who had used the e-module. Data were collected through a questionnaire covering five indicators: ease of use, effectiveness of material delivery, level of interactivity, learning independence, and general response. The results showed that for the ease of use indicator, the carbohydrate e-module received an average response of "very good" with an average percentage of 83%. The effectiveness of material delivery scored 82.75%, while the level of interactivity reached 85.7%. However, the learning independence indicator had a lower average score (78.7%), indicating the need to strengthen self-learning motivation and encourage further exploration of additional information. The study concludes that the biochemistry e-module on carbohydrate material is effective in enhancing students' understanding but requires some improvements, such as adding a glossary feature and interactive elements to optimally support learning independence. The integration of technology in learning is expected to continue developing to improve the effectiveness of science-based education.

Abstract

This study aims to identify cases of child grooming sexual abuse in Tebing Tinggi City, identify the types of sanctions that can be imposed on groomers from the perspective of Islamic criminal law, and examine the law enforcement efforts undertaken by the Tebing Tinggi Police Resort in handling these cases. This research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining field research and normative legal analysis. The collected data is then analyzed qualitatively to describe the issue and address the research objectives. The results show that child grooming cases at the Tebing Tinggi Police Resort fluctuated throughout 2019-2024, with a significant surge of 70 cases in 2023. The standard modus operandi involves establishing an emotional relationship and trust between the groomer and the victim, which the groomer then exploits to commit sexual abuse. From the perspective of Islamic criminal law, groomers can be subjected to hadd punishment if sexual intercourse occurs or ta’zir punishment if only sexual abuse without intercourse takes place. Simultaneously, the Tebing Tinggi Police Resort has carried out its law enforcement function both repressively, through the process of investigation, inquiry, and determination of suspects based on the provisions of Law Number 8 of 1981 and Law Number 23 of 2002, and preventively, through education and outreach programs. Therefore, it is recommended that the Tebing Tinggi Police Resort, the Tebing Tinggi City Government, community institutions, religious leaders, families, and parents enhance their efforts in preventing and handling child grooming comprehensively and continuously.

Abstract

The review of Islamic criminal law and the prevention of domestic violence in Medan City are the two topics examined in this research and study. Although this research strategy is a case approach, the author uses empirical juridical research in this study. In addition, this research is studied descriptively qualitatively to find out the enforcement of Islamic criminal law against cases of domestic violence (KDRT). However, this research approach is a case approach. This research uses primary data, namely information obtained directly from the person concerned, by conducting interviews and field research at the PPA Unit of the Medan Police Criminal Investigation Unit. Literature from books, journals relevant to the research topic, and fiqh texts were used as secondary sources of information for this research. According to the findings of this research, the lack of a formal legal umbrella in Medan City makes it impossible to conduct criminal mediation in cases of domestic violence. As part of their responsibilities, local governments and social organizations are charged with the responsibility to provide victim recovery facilities. To provide assistance to victims of domestic violence, the recovery providers work together. During an interview with the PPA Unit of Medan Police Station, the author found that the police will cooperate with the office to assist victims in evaluating the mental health of victims of domestic violence in Medan City.

Abstract

Although land certificates serve as official documents that validate ownership rights, cases of land disputes and violations still often occur. Many individuals face challenges in defending their rights due to the lack of legal protection or the presence of parties who try to harm them. The purpose of this study is to determine how the decision of the state administrative court number 115/G/2023/PTUN.MDN regarding the cancellation of the certificate of ownership rights from the perspective of fiqh siyasah. This study uses a normative legal research method. The results of the study indicate that the PTUN Decision to cancel the Certificate of Ownership Rights (SHM) in the name of Parulian Damanik is contrary to applicable legal procedures and the principle of justice in fiqh siyasah, because the certificate was issued legally by the BPN and has a clear legal basis. Cancellation without evidence of administrative defects causes legal uncertainty, which violates the principle of legal certainty and the government's responsibility to protect individual rights transparently and fairly. This study includes a limited focus on one PTUN case, without expanding the analysis to other similar cases, as well as limited access to supporting documents from related parties. This study is based on the use of the fiqh siyasah approach in analyzing PTUN decisions, which is rarely discussed in the context of modern Indonesian law, and its emphasis on the impact of court decisions on legal uncertainty and justice in land administration. This study contributes to offering a new perspective on the relationship between state law and fiqh siyasah in maintaining individual rights to land.

Abstract

Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection was passed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia on October 17, 2022 with the main aim of protecting people's personal data managed by electronic system operators (PSE), such as the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo), as well as preventing crimes committed by irresponsible individuals. The need to address the problem of data leakage is the main focus that must be addressed immediately with a definite and secure solution. With the enactment of this personal data protection law, it is expected to be an effective solution in dealing with the problem of personal data leakage that often occurs in Indonesia. This Personal Data Protection Act was created with the aim of protecting the privacy rights of individuals. The Academic Paper of the Personal Data Protection Law explains that "the right to privacy through the protection of personal data is a key element for individual freedom and dignity". Therefore, this personal data protection regulation is enacted to safeguard the interests of the public to avoid misuse of their personal data. The author applies a normative juridical approach method that involves analyzing each writing, rules, and its application, Kominfo collaborates with the Siberkreasi movement to provide digital education to the public. The goal is for people to be smarter in sorting information, not easily influenced by hoaxes, and less dependent on information that cannot be ascertained. Kominfo continues to collaborate with the police in law enforcement related to the spread of hoaxes. Cyber security has a very important role in protecting data security. This is because of the importance of maintaining the information stored and ensuring the data transmitted remains safe.

Abstract

SMK Negeri 1 Kota Binjai is a vocational high school that has several competency skills majors. This school has an interest in applicants who are quite interested every year, the number of applicants in admitting new students every year continues to increase from year to year. Vocational education is an educational model that focuses on individual skills, skills, work habits, and appreciation of the jobs needed by people in the business/industry world. Lack of information about talent interests and career paths or vocational education greatly affects students in making choices regarding majors. Many students who choose majors are not interested in their talents and other reasons. This can make students wrong in taking a major which causes inadequate competence of students in completing their education and will certainly affect the future of these students. expert system which is a computer program, which is able to store knowledge and rules like an expert. With the existence of an expert system, each student is able to identify and find out what areas of expertise he is interested in. The Certainty Factor method is a method for proving whether a fact is certain or uncertain in the form of a metric which is usually used in expert systems. From the results of trials conducted by the expert system to identify students' interest in the vocational field using the Certainty Factor method, the highest score is majors Online Business and Marketing with a confidence value of 89.67%.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the perspective of Islamic criminal law and Law No. 35 of 2014 on cases of violence against children in Manambin Village, Kotanopan Regency. This study uses empirical law and case study methodology. We engage in direct communication with those working in the field to ascertain the source of the problem. The results of this study indicate that ta'zir is the right punishment for those who commit acts of violence against children. A fine of up to five million rupiah and a prison sentence of five to fifteen years are the penalties for violating the rules and laws relating to child protection. The findings of this study are expected to inform community norms in responding to child abuse and neglect.

Abstract

Medan Denai adalah salah satu dari 21 kecamatan yang berada di KotaMedan, Provinsi Sumatra Utara, Indonesia. Jumlah pendudukan laki-lakipada tahun 2020 berjumlah 73.109, pada tahun 2021 berjumlah 73.296 danpada tahun 2022 berjumlah 85.282. Jumlah penduduk perempuan pada tahun2020 berjumlah 74.87, pada tahun 2021 berjumlah 75.142 dan pada tahun2022 berjumlah 84.361. Sedangkan penduduk dengan jumlah laki-laki danperempuan pada tahun 2020 berjumlah 147.981, pada tahun 2021 berjumlah148.438 dan pada tahun 2022 berjumlah 169.643. Hasil penelitian inimenunjukkan bahwa pengeluaran ≤65% untuk pangan, menunjukkan indikasimasyarakat masuk dalam klasifikasi rawan terhadap keterjangkauan pangan.Semakin rendah persentase rumah tangga dengan pengeluaran ≤65% untukpangan, maka semakin rawan wilayah tersebut. Hal tersebut menunjukkanbahwa seluruh desa di Kecamatan Medan Denai memiliki persentase rumahtangga dengan pengeluaran 65% untuk pangan sebesar lebih dari 50% yaknimasuk dalam klasifikasi Sangat Rawan. Hal tersebut terjadi selaras denganmasih banyaknya penduduk miskin di Kecamatan Medan Denai, dimanapenduduk miskin akan lebih besar pengeluaran yang dikeluarkan terhadappengeluaran pangan nya dibandingkan pengeluaran non-pangan. Payunghukum yang mengatur pangan di Indonesia yakni Undang-Undang No. 18Tahun 2012 tentang Pangan Dari segi maqashid syariah memiliki nilai dalamupaya mewujudkan kemaslahatan ummat, hal ini dapat terwujud dengan duacara yaitu melalui upaya untuk menghasilkan maslahat dan kemanfaatan, sertasesuatu yang diupayakan untuk menolak bahaya atau kerusakan. Maslahatselalu dikaitkan dengan maqashid syariah. Di mana maqashid syariahditemukan, di situ pula terdapat kemaslahatan. Dalam konteks maqashidsyariah, Pemrintah mem.
