Abstract

First language plays an important role when it comes to learning second language. The process of first language interference in learning second language is called transfer. There are two classifications of transfer. The Positive transfer and negative transfer. This research was done to analyze the negative transfer of Indonesian into English of beginner students who learn English as foreign language. The method of the research was in qualitative descriptive study with the participants of grade-7 students in SMPN 01 Sungai Pinyuh in Academic Year 2021/2022. The data were collected by interviewing the participants and collecting worksheets from the participants. The researcher analyzed the data by using content analysis and transcription. The finding of the study showed that there were many errors made by the students that related to negative transfer and students tended not to realize that they were making mistakes. The results of this research were expected to be useful information for other teachers as a reference in teaching foreign languages and for other researchers with the same topic.

Abstract

This study aims at describing the types and functions of codeswitching encountered in Naila Fahana’s YouTube videos. The data were collected from Naila Farhana YouTube channel with three selected videos entitled Mau Tips Lancar Belajar Bahasa Inggris, Pelajari 5 Kunci Sukses (Be Fluent in English, learn 5 successful keys), Cara Bahasa Inggris Tanpa Ngeblank (Learn English without Going Blank), American Accent_ Cara Belajar Aksen Amerika (American Accent_ How to Learn American Accent). This research was a descriptive study in which the writer described types of codeswitching using a theory of Peter Stockwell and functions of codeswitching using a theory of Marasigan. In collecting the data, this study utilized human instrument in which the researcher as the main source. Then, the data were sorted out of the corpora from video transcriptions with 4,622 words in total. The findings of this study showed that the dominant type of codeswithing is intrasentential switching (IaSCS) with 102 data out of 123 data and the dominant function of codeswitching is message of qualification (MQ) with 50 data out of 123 data. This research covered three types and seven functions of codeswitching as a discussion for further linguistic study on codeswitching.

Abstract

Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government (UU Pemda) is the basis for the implementation of regional autonomy in Indonesia. The regulation of local government authority in New Renewable Energy affairs regulated in the Local Government Law has caused problems in achieving the national energy mix target. This research is a normative juridical research with a statutory and conceptual approach. The results showed that the lack of involvement of the role of local governments, both provincial and district/city areas for the utilization and management of NRE was due to limited regulations regarding the authority of local governments in NRE affairs to only regulate geothermal affairs. In addition, changes or improvements are needed in the Local Government Law that accommodates the definition of RES and the addition of authority arrangements for other types of RES.

Abstract

C. hartinahianum J.B. Comber & R.E. Nasution merupakan salah satu jenis anggrek endemik di Sumatera Utara. Habitatnya terbatas di dataran tinggi dengan suhu rendah. Habitat alami tersebut sudah banyak dikonversi untuk penggunaan lainnya. Induksi radiasi sinar gamma merupakan metode alternatif untuk mendapatkan tanaman mutan toleransi terhadap kondisi suhu yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui radiosensitivitas protocorm C. hartinahianum J.B. Comber & R.E. Nasution terhadap iradiasi sinar gamma dan pertumbuhan PLBs di suhu ruang kultur yang berbeda. Protocorm diiradiasi dalam kisaran dosis iradiasi 0, 5, 10, 15, dan 20 Gy, kemudian separoh populasi protocorm pasca iradiasi diinkubasi dalam ruang kultur dengan suhu 16-18 oC dan separoh yang lain di suhu 22-27 oC, untuk mengevaluasi radiosentitivitas dan pertumbuhannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LD20 dan LD50 protocorm di ruang kultur bersuhu 16-18 oC adalah 26.98 Gy dan 38.24, sementara LD20 dan LD50 protocorm pada ruang kultur bersuhu 22-27 oC adalah 17.08 Gy dan 27.29 Gy. Proliferasi PLBs dan morfogenesis tunas C. hartinahianum lebih baik pada ruang kultur dengan suhu 22-27 oC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa re-iradiasi sinar gamma sebaiknya dilakukan pada LD20 atau LD50 dari ruang kultur dengan suhu 22-27 oC yaitu sebesar 17.08 Gy dan 27.29 Gy, untuk mendapatkan mutan putatif C. hartinahianum. Abstract

Phalaenopsis merupakan salah satu anggrek yang terkenal karena keindahan bunganya dengan variasi warna yang tinggi dan periode pembungaan yang lama. Salah satu masalah dalam budidaya anggrek adalah Penyakit Busuk Lunak (PBL) yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Dickeya dadantii. Induksi resistensi dengan Asam Salisilat (AS) merupakan metode alternatif dalam mengendalikan PBL pada Phalaenopsis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2018 sampai Maret 2019, di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan Tanaman, Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura IPB. Penelitian terdiri dari dua percobaan. Percobaan 1 bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keragaman respon planlet in vitro asal biji hasil penyerbukan sendiri P. amabilis terhadap D. dadanti dengan inokulasi pada daun terpisah dan menentukan tingkat ketahanannya. Sebanyak 7 dari 158 planlet yang diuji, memiliki respon agak tahan terhadap D. dadantii, sedangkan sisanya rentan atau sangat rentan. Percobaan 2 bertujuan untuk membandingkan respon bibit P. amabilis terhadap D. dadantii pada 1 hari setelah perlakuan asam salisilat (AS) pada konsentrasi 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, dan 90 ppm menggunakan metode inokulasi daun pada bibit yang masih menempel di tanaman. Percobaan 2 menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan AS 75 ppm paling baik dalam menginduksi ketahanan bibit P. amabilis terhadap patogen penyebab busuk lunak D. dadantii. Tanaman pada perlakuan tersebut menghasilkan nilai CFU dan AUPDC lebih rendah dan aktivitas peroksidase lebih tinggi dibanding perlakuan lainnya. Abstract

Tanaman dengan pertambahan tinggi yang lambat merupakan karakter penting dalam program pemuliaan kelapa sawit dan brasinosteroid merupakan hormon penting yang berpengaruh untuk karakter tersebut. Gen sterol metiltransferase 1 (SMT1) merupakan salah satu gen kunci dalam biosintesis brasinosteroid. Pengembangan marker molekuler dapat dimulai dengan identifikasi dan karakterisasi gen yang terkait dengan karakter target. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi dan mengkarakterisasi keragaman nukleotida gen SMT1. Amplifikasi PCR dilakukan menggunakan genom Elaeis oleifera (E.o.), E. guineensis (E.g.) dan hibrida dari keduanya (E.g. x E.o.) dengan sepasang primer spesifik gen SMT1. Dalam penelitian ini berhasil diamplifikasi satu potongan DNA gen SMT1 dan dari hasil DNA sequencing berhasil diidentifikasi sebanyak 501- 505 pb. Potongan DNA yang diidentifikasi terdiri atas partial intron 8, exon 9, intron 9, dan patial exon 10, yang menyandi antara 104-105 residu asam amino. Domain residu asam amino terkonservasi ditemukan dalam hasil translasi amplikon, yang berkorelasi dengan situs aktif dalam biosintesis brasinosteroid dan mengkonfirmasi identitas amplikon sebagai bagian dari gen SMT1. Keragaman nukleotida potongan DNA gen SMT1 yang teridentifikasi berpotensi dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan marker molekuler yang bermanfaat untuk pemuliaan tanaman kelapa sawit, terutama untuk karakter pertambahan tinggi tanaman yang lambat. Abstract

Leaf morphological characters and nutrient content in leaf tissue can vary depending on plant genotype. The nutrient solution culture can produce leaves with good nutritional content. Therefore, this research aimed to evaluate and validate cassava putative mutants' morphological traits and Zn content using a nutrient solution culture system. This research was carried out from January to May 2022 at the greenhouse of Cikabayan Experimental Garden, IPB University, Bogor. This study used two cassava cultivars and ten mutant genotypes from the cassava research team of IPB University, resulting from mutation breeding by gamma irradiation. The plant characters observed in this study included the number of leaves, length and width of the leaflet, leaf colour, plant height, fresh and dry weight leaf, and analysis of Zn content. The data were analyzed using ANOVA at a significant level of α = 5%, followed by Tukey's further test. The results showed that the G2D1-422 genotype had a higher Zn content than the wild type (Ratim/G2) and the other genotypes. The high Zn genotypes (G2D1-422) and low Zn genotypes (Ratim (G2) had not significantly different in fresh and dry leaf weight. Meanwhile, the plant genotype did not affect other growth characteristics such as plant height, the number of leaves, and the length and width of the leaflets, and overall, the characters were similar between the observed genotypes.

Abstract

Rimpang jahe putih memiliki masa dormansi selama 2-3 bulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT) yang sesuai untuk perbanyakan tunas jahe putih secara in vitro. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan 3 AGH pada bulan Maret hingga Agustus 2022. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial (RAL) dengan 5 taraf komposisi ZPT pada media dasar MS, yaitu media MSo tanpa penambahan ZPT (kontrol); 3 ppm BAP + 0.5 ppm TDZ + 0.1 ppm NAA; 9 ppm BAP; 1.5 ppm TDZ; 3 ppm Kinetin + 0.5 ppm TDZ + 0.1 ppm NAA. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali, setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 2 botol dan setiap botol ditanam satu eksplan. Penambahan 3 ppm BAP + 0.5 ppm TDZ + 0.1 ppm NAA dan 3 ppm Kinetin + 0.5 ppm TDZ + 0.1 ppm NAA memberikan hasil multiplikasi tunas yang paling tinggi, yaitu 6,8 tunas. Penambahan ZPT pada media tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pemanjangan tunas, pertambahan jumlah daun, dan pembentukan akar. Perlakuan dengan penambahan 3 ppm BAP + 0.5 ppm TDZ + 0.1 ppm NAA; 9 ppm BAP; dan 3 ppm Kinetin + 0.5 ppm TDZ + 0.1 ppm NAA menghasilkan plantlet yang menunjukkan kelangsungan hidup 100% pada masa aklimatisasi dua minggu. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan keseimbangan lingkungan dilihat dari komposisi jenis plankton, produktivitas primer, kelimpahan, indeks keanekaragaman, indeks dominansi dan indeks saprobik di Embung Potorono dan Embung Imogiri pada April dan Oktober 2021. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April 2021 sampai Juli 2022. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif eksploratif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada 5 stasiun dengan 5 pengulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas perairan di keempat lokasi dan waktu termasuk dalam kategori tercemar ringan. Parameter yang berkontribusi terhadap kualitas air di Embung Imogiri dan Embung Potorono pada April 2021 adalah kedalaman air, curah hujan, dan suhu air yang tinggi. Curah hujan memiliki hubungan yang tidak signifikan dengan kelimpahan jenis yang tinggi namun melalui COD dapat dilihat adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara COD dengan kelimpahan jenis. Parameter yang berkontribusi terhadap kualitas air di Embung Imogiri pada Oktober 2021 adalah bahan organik, nitrat, DO, kekeruhan air dan magnesium yang cukup tinggi. Intensitas cahaya memiliki hubungan yang tidak signifikan dengan indeks dominansi fitoplankton namun nitrat, DO dan kekeruhan air memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan indeks dominansi fitoplankton. Parameter yang berkontribusi terhadap kualitas air di Embung Potorono pada Oktober 2021 adalah intensitas cahaya, BOD, COD, kalium dan fosfat. DO berpengaruh terhadap indeks keanekaragaman zooplankton yang dapat dilihat dari hubungan yang signifikan antara DO dengan indeks dominansi zooplankton.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of social relations and forms of adaptation of local communities to the presence of the mining company PT. Bumi Suksesindo (PT BSI) in Sumberagung Village, Pesanggaran District, Banyuwangi Regency. The presence of the gold mining industry has significantly changed the social, economic, and cultural structure of the community. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, through data collection techniques in the form of field observations, in-depth interviews with the community, company officials, and government officials, as well as documentation. Data analysis was conducted interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the social relationship between the community and PT BSI is dynamic and complex, reflecting a process of negotiation between economic, social, and ecological interests. The community showed three main patterns of response to the presence of the mine: (1) cooperative, through involvement in corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs; (2) adaptive, by adjusting economic and social activities to changes in their living space; and (3) resistant, through rejection or criticism of the perceived environmental and social impacts. These patterns form a layered configuration of social relations between the community, the company, and the government, in which processes of accommodation and conflict occur simultaneously. This study concludes that the success of social relations between mining companies and local communities is highly dependent on two-way communication, policy transparency, and respect for the social values and local wisdom of the community. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of participatory social interaction models as the basis for equitable and sustainable community-corporate relationship management in mining areas
