Abstract

This research is motivated by the high level of job demands on PT X employees, affecting workplace well-being. There are several factors that have major influence on workplace well-being. However, this can be overcome with the job resources provided by the company. This study aims to see the role of job demands on workplace well-being with job resources as a moderator for PT X employees. The population in this study were all PT X employees and the sample used was 181 people. This study uses two measurements named The Job Demands-Resources Questionnaire by (Bakker, 2014) and The Workplace Well-being Questionnaire by (Parker & Hyett, 2011). The sampling technique used is convenience sampling. The data were processed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) in the IBM SPSS version 20 program. The results showed that there was a positive role of job demands on workplace well-being for PT X employees with F = 56.101 and p = 0.000 <0.05. From the results of multiple linear regression analysis, the coefficient value R² = 0.387 is obtained, the role of job demands on workplace well-being is 38.7%, while the remaining 61.3% is influenced by other factors. Other results show that job resources does not moderate the two variables in this study because the results obtained are p = 0.127 > 0.05

Abstract

Abstract

The advance of technology has changed the way individuals, especially Generation Z, manage the boundaries between work and personal life. The concept of Work-Life Integration (WLI) is now widely adopted by the tech-savvy Generation Z who tend to combine work and personal life together. This study aims to explore the level of WLI in Generation Z employees, as well as the demographic factors that might predict it. The study used quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires via Google Form to 93 Generation Z participants who have worked for at least one year. The measurement tool used is the Indonesian adaptation of the Work-Life Boundary Enactment Scale. The level of Work-Life Integration (WLI) of Generation Z employees tends to be medium, with a stronger tendency towards Work-to-Life Integration. No significant differences were found in the level of WLI when evaluated by gender, marital status, number of years working, and job level. Thus, this study provides a preliminary picture of WLI trends in Generation Z while emphasizing the importance of developing flexible work strategies according to the characteristics of this generation.

Abstract

Generation Z is the dominant demographic group in Indonesia and is widely known as digital natives, having grown up in the era of digital communication. Their communication patterns tend to prioritize efficiency and are largely visual based; however, this can negatively impact the quality of direct, face-to-face family interactions. A lack of in-person communication increases the risk of excessive internet use and contributes to mental health issues. Effective family communication plays a crucial role in supporting adolescents’ psychological well-being, and one of the key contributing factors is family resilience. Family resilience encompasses belief systems, organizational processes, and communication processes within the family. This study aims to examine the influence of family resilience on family communication among Generation Z in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using convenience sampling, involving 210 participants. The instruments used were the Family Communication Scale (FCS) and the Walsh Family Resilience Questionnaire (WFRQ). The analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between family resilience and family communication (R² = 0.84). These findings suggest that stronger family resilience contributes to better family communication quality and may help reduce family conflicts and the negative impacts of excessive technology use.

Abstract

The current industrial era is extremely fast-paced and dynamic. Companies require employees who can adapt quickly and enhance the company's competitiveness through innovative ideas. The aim of this study is to examine the role of Learning Agility as a predictor of Innovative Work Behavior, with Job Crafting as a mediator. Learning agility is the ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to changing situations. Innovative Work Behavior involves identifying problems and implementing new ideas. Job crafting refers to how employees adjust their job demands and resources. This study was conducted with 158 employees, aged 18–58 years, with a minimum of one year of work experience. The measurement tools in this study were the Learning Agility Scale by Wardhani et al. (2022), the Innovative Work Behavior Scale by Jong & Den Hartog (2010), and the Job Crafting Scale by Tims et al. (2012). Data processing was carried out using IBM SPSS Statistics 30.0. The results of the study showed that Learning Agility has a significant influence on Innovative Work Behavior (p=.000; p< .05), Learning Agility has a significant influence on Job Crafting (p=.000; p<.05), Job Crafting has a significant influence on Innovative Work Behavior (p=.0426; p<.05), and Job Crafting partially mediates the relationship between Learning Agility and Innovative Work Behavior. The implications of this study suggest that managers and employees should develop Learning Agility capabilities and implement Job Crafting strategies to exhibit Innovative Work Behavior.

Abstract

Turnover intention is a pressing concern for organizations, as employees are increasingly choosing to leave due to toxic leadership. Toxic leaders characterized by intimidation, manipulation, and a lack of support create detrimental work environments that elevate employee stress levels. This heightened stress, in turn, intensifies turnover intention, leading to higher retention rates. Toxic leadership not only undermines employee well-being but also significantly impairs organizational performance. This study aims to investigate the impact of toxic leadership on turnover intention, with job stress acting as a mediating variable. Focusing on Generation Z employees a growing segment of the workforce demographic this research examines how the unique challenges of this group interact with toxic leadership, offering crucial insights for organizations. The study employs a quantitative research approach utilizing survey methodology. Data were collected through questionnaires by involving 400 Generation Z employees in Jakarta. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling. The study utilized the Toxic Leadership Scale, Intention to Leave Scale, and Job Stress Scale as instruments. The results demonstrated that toxic leadership significantly drives turnover intention, with job stress playing a key mediating role. Toxic leadership was found to increase job stress, which, in turn, strengthened the intention of Generation Z employees to leave their jobs. These findings underscore the pressing need for organizations to address toxic leadership, thereby enhancing employee well-being and reducing turnover rates. The study offers valuable insights for organizations seeking to foster a healthier work environment and enhance employee retention.

Abstract

Improving the quality of primary education in under-resourced areas such as Ciherang Village, West Java, remains challenging due to limited facilities, guidance, and access to structured psychological assessments. This community engagement program aimed to help students at SD Ciherang recognize their cognitive abilities, interests, and personality traits through a systematic assessment. A total of 53 sixth-grade students participated in three instruments: Raven’s Colored Progressive Matrices (CPM) for cognitive ability, SDS Holland for career interests, and the Big Five Inventory (BFI) for personality traits. The program was implemented using a Community-Based Research (CBR) approach that actively involved teachers and Thematic Community Service (KKNT) students. The results showed that most students had good to very good cognitive abilities. Their dominant interests were Artistic and Social, indicating a strong preference for creativity and social interaction. Personality profiles were primarily characterized by Agreeableness and Extraversion, reflecting cooperative, empathetic, and sociable tendencies. These findings highlight the need for extracurricular programs focusing on arts, social engagement, and leadership, as well as structured activities to develop discipline and self-management skills. This initiative provides tangible contributions in the form of tailored recommendations for extracurricular development based on students’ profiles and offers psychological data as a foundation for school policy planning. The approach is expected to enhance educational services and support the optimal development of students’ potential.ABSTRAKPeningkatan kualitas pendidikan dasar di daerah terbatas seperti Desa Ciherang, Jawa Barat, sering terhambat keterbatasan fasilitas, bimbingan, dan asesmen psikologis yang memadai. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted employees in numerous ways, notably through the shift to work-from-home (WFH) arrangements. This transition has disrupted employees’ workplace well-being (WWB), with blurred boundaries between family and work life becoming more common. The challenge of balancing work and family demands under WFH conditions is referred to as the work-family interface (WFI). This study explores the effect of WFI on WWB and examines whether psychological detachment—defined as a recovery experience that allows individuals to mentally disengage from work to restore personal resources—moderates this relationship. The implementation of WFH during COVID-19 pandemic has posed a challenge of balancing the interaction between work and family or can be known as work-family interface (WFI). Psychological detachment as a form of recovery experience to replenish an individual's resource is assumed to moderate the relationship between WFI and WWB. So this study aims to look at the impact from WFI to WWB and also the moderation effect of psychological detachment. The study was conducted on 143 employees using convenience sampling, a non-probability sampling method. The instruments utilized in this study are the Work Family Interface from the Work-Family Interface Scale, with a reliability score of α = .728; the Workplace Well-being from the Workplace Well-being Questionnaire, with a reliability score of α = .893; and the Psychological Detachment from the Recovery Experience Questionnaire, with a reliability score of α = .825 and ω = .828. The results demonstrated that the Work-Family Interface (WFI) exerts a significant influence on workplace well-being (WWB) (p = .000). Furthermore, the findings substantiated that the four dimensions of the WFI markedly impact WWB (p = .000). However, the hypothesis that psychological detachment acts as a moderator in the relationship between WFI and WWB was not supported (p = .263, p > .05).

Abstract

Generation Z had just entered the workforce at a productive age. However, statistical data reveal that Generation Z is largely unemployed and is considered to have a lot of consideration of job selection due to the large amount of information spread and cultural changes, which makes Generation Z choose to quit work rather than carry out work that is not in accordance with their internal principles. A high quit rate is related to workers' work engagement. Early research has revealed that Generation Z has a low level of work engagement. The work engagement factor, psychological safety, is the belief that a safe work environment to be able to voice questions or suggestions without fear of negative consequences is also needed by Generation Z in their work. This study examined the relationship between psychological safety and work engagement experienced by Generation Z employees. Using a correlational quantitative method with convenience sampling technique, the participants were 210 Generation Z employees who worked in Jabodetabek at the age of 20–28 years, had at least high school/vocational school education, and had a minimum work experience of one year. Using measuring instruments Adaptation of the Psychological Safety Inventory (PSI) scale and the Utrecht Work and Well-Being Survey (UWES). The Spearman rank correlation test was used for data analysis. The results showed a positive relationship between psychological safety and work engagement among Generation Z employees in Jabodetabek (r = 0.504 and p < 0.05).

Abstract

Education is a fundamental right for all citizens, as outlined in the 1945 constitution. However, the equitable distribution of educational opportunities in Indonesia remains a significant challenge, particularly in regions such as East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province. This study aims to elucidate the subjective psychological well-being of educators at SMK X Sumba. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach, leveraging a nonprobability sampling method through a convenience sampling technique. The subjective well-being of educators was measured using the Scale of Positive Affect and Negative Affect (SPANE) and Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS). The results showed that educators’ subjective well-being was classified as good, with 73.9% in the moderate category and 26.1% in the high category. Positive affection had a high level (95.7 %), while negative affection tended to be low (82.6 %). In terms of cognition, life satisfaction shows 87% of the respondents were in the high category, which reflects that educators at SMK X Sumba have positive feelings and high life satisfaction, although there is room for improvement. This suggests that educators should develop psychological wellbeing-based programs to support teaching quality and student learning outcomes.
