Abstract

The Qur'an and Hadith have a complementary relationship. The Qur'an provides basic instructions and general principles, while the Hadith offer detailed explanations and concrete examples from the life of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. These two sources are used together to understand and practice Islamic teachings as a whole. The Koran is the holy book of Muslims which is considered a direct revelation from Allah SWT, conveyed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW through the Angel Gabriel. Consisting of 114 surahs and thousands of verses, the Qur'an covers aspects of faith, worship, law, ethics and history. Written in Arabic, the Qur'an is considered the greatest miracle of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, renowned for the beauty of its language and the depth of its content. The Qur'an functions as a perfect and eternal guide for the lives of Muslims and the Hadith is a collection of the words, actions and agreements of the Prophet Muhammad SAW conveyed by his companions. Hadith complement the Qur'an by providing detailed explanations of the teachings contained therein. Hadith are categorized based on their authenticity into sahih (authentic), hasan (good), dhaif (weak), and maudhu' (false). The collection and verification of hadiths was carried out by scholars such as Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, who ensured the reliability and authenticity of the hadiths.

Abstract

Methodology is a crucial component in determining the success or failure of an education. This allows learning material to be taught effectively and efficiently to students. To achieve this, teachers should use a multi-strategy and multi-sector approach, including motivational and pedagogical approaches. This research uses qualitative methods, such as library research, to explore Islamic education methods. The methodology must take into account the individual or social aspects of the students and teachers themselves. The three components of Islamic education include knowledge, skills, and knowledge. Understanding methodology is critical to determining educational effectiveness. In the world of Islamic religious education, the process and goals of education should be in accordance with the Koran and Hadith as the main sources of Islamic teachings. In these two sources of law there must be a strong foundation regarding educational methods, as implemented by the Prophet Muhammad in preaching and educating Muslims. The results show that there are five educational methods in the Koran and Hadith.

Abstract

Social media has a significant impact on people's lives in various aspects, from lifestyle to standards of attractiveness and beauty. Consequently, social media users often strive to present an appealing self-image that differs from reality, a phenomenon referred to in psychological studies as Deception Behavior. The motives for this behavior vary, including entertainment, the desire for higher social status, or even deceit. This study will examine several forms of deception behavior from the perspective of the Qur’an and Hadith. The research method used is library research, which involves collecting data by understanding and studying theories from various literature sources such as books, journals, articles, and previous research studies. The results indicate that some forms of deception behavior on social media involve elements of dishonesty that contradict religious teachings (Q.S. An-Nahl [16]: 105), such as concealing one’s true identity with fake accounts used for hate speech (Q.S. Al-Hujurat [49]: 12), self-branding for fraudulent purposes (Q.S. Al-Baqarah [2]:9), flexing behavior that contains elements of showing off and arrogance (Q.S. Luqman [31]: 18), and excessive, manipulative use of filters that can deceive others (Q.S. Al-Baqarah [2]: 42).

Abstract

Zakat has a strategic role in reducing social inequality and improving the welfare of Muslims, but its implementation still faces challenges, especially in the management of mal zakat through official institutions such as the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ). In Rimbo Bujang Sub-district, the low level of public awareness and trust towards UPZ are the main obstacles in optimizing the management of mal zakat. The lack of zakat mal literacy and lack of innovative education create a gap between zakat obligation and its implementation in the community. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive method, relying on in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis to understand this phenomenon in depth. The results show that the low awareness of zakat mal is caused by the lack of understanding of the zakat mechanism through UPZ and ignorance of its benefits, while the level of public trust in zakat institutions is still low due to the lack of transparency and accountability. Nevertheless, education through religious activities such as tausiyah and leaflet distribution has the potential to improve zakat literacy. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between UPZ, religious leaders, and the government in strengthening zakat education regulations and innovations, as well as the use of digital technology to expand the scope of zakat literacy. The findings provide theoretical contributions in zakat literature and offer practical solutions for more effective, inclusive, and transparent zakat management.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the three basic principles of leadership: integrity, Authenticity, and commitment to something greater than oneself as foundational elements of effective leadership within the context of Islamic education. These principles are not only moral guidelines but also ethical and existential frameworks that shape a leader’s character and behavior. This research employs a qualitative research design with an interpretive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Islamic education leaders (kiai, school principals, and senior teachers), participant observation in selected Islamic educational institutions, and document analysis of leadership texts and institutional policy documents. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify recurring patterns and meanings embedded in leadership practices within Islamic educational settings. The findings reveal that integrity serves as the core pillar that establishes public trust in leaders. Authenticity plays a crucial role in sustaining moral consistency and personal honesty. At the same time, a commitment to a purpose beyond oneself motivates leaders to act in the collective good rather than their own self-interest. In the context of Islamic education, these principles align strongly with the values of amanah, siddiq, and khidmah, which characterize the leadership exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. This study concludes that the three principles are not only compatible with modern leadership theories but are also universal and highly relevant to the development of Islamic educational leadership. The study implies the need to develop leadership training programs in Islamic education that emphasize character formation and leadership ethics based on these three core principles.
