The introduction of aquaponics through interesting learning media is expected to instill good knowledge in students about aquaponics. Technological devices, plants and animals in the aquaponic system which are used as learning media in several subjects or fields of study. One of the efforts in developing learning that attracts the interest and motivation of students is learning media. Learning media is one of the important learning components in the learning process, because learning media can increase students' interest and motivation in learning. The introduction of aquaponics as an interesting learning medium is expected to instill good knowledge in students (the younger generation), especially in the activities of developing modern agriculture or animal husbandry in urban areas. This activity was attended by 18 students and 1 accompanying teacher. Activities carried out through the method of discussion and demonstration (demonstration) of the aquaponic system.

Critical thinking skills and digital literacy can be influenced by several factors, one of which is the use of LKPD learning media. LKPD can be used on Ecology and Biodiversity material. This research aims to develop digital LKPD learning media products to improve student’s critical thinking and digital literacy skills at SMP Kartika X-1 Jatinegara, East Jakarta. This type of research is development research using the Hannafin and Peck model, through stages of analysis, design and implementation with evaluation and revision at each stage. The targets of this research were 106 seventh grade students at SMP Kartika X-1, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. Data analysis techniques in this research was n-gain test. The validation results for the development of digital LKPD from media experts and material experts received a score in the very good category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that digital LKPD media can be developed and is suitable as a learning media for Ecology and Biodiversity material, and is effective enough in improving student’s critical thinking skills and digital literacy

This study aims to develop a Bio-Genetics Ebook based on In Silico DNA Sequencing and analyze its influence on critical thinking and environmental literacy of grade X students at SMA Negeri 30 Jakarta. The learning media in the form of an ebook produced examines and analyzes populations and species by utilizing computing technology in the form of DNA sequencing using NCBI in DNA analysis and Mega to obtain a phylogenetic tree. The student needs analysis stage revealed that students need interactive learning media that is easy to carry anywhere. The design stage produced an ebook design with superior content of in silico DNA sequencing, bioinfo, case studies, and quizzes. From the results of the media and material feasibility test carried out at the development stage, the results were 84% and 89% respectively. The ebook was considered suitable for use and only required minor adjustments. Educators and students evaluated the small group trial, with scores of 84% and 82% respectively, indicating that the trial could be used as a biology learning medium. The use of In Silico DNA Sequencing-based Bio-Genetics Ebook on critical thinking skills and environmental literacy of students has increased, according to the results of the MANOVA hypothesis test which also showed a significance value of 0.00 <0.05. Thus, the developed ebook is suitable for use as a biology learning medium and to improve critical thinking skills and environmental literacy of students.

Kemampuan setiap individu dalam memaknai pembelajaran berbeda-beda. Diperlukan adanya sentuhan personalisasi dalam mengukur tingkatan pemahaman peserta didik yang sesuai dengan levelnya melalui asesmen diferensiasi. Salah satu bentuk asesmen diferensiasi adalah penilaian diri. Penilaian secara mandiri dinilai penting dalam memahami kebutuhan diri sendiri melalui serangkaian pembelajaran serta evaluasi diri pada pembelajaran biologi. Salah satu metode penilaian diri adalah dengan Traffic Light Code (TLC). Asesmen diri dengan metode Traffic Light Code (TLC) menggunakan tiga warna lampu lalu lintas: Merah, kuning, dan hijau untuk mengindikasikan kemampuan pemahaman peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan rubrik penilaian diri menggunakan metode TLC pada materi sistem reproduksi melalui hasil belajar biologi pada peserta didik SMA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model ADDIE dalam pengembangan rubrik penilaian diri menggunakan metode TLC dinilai sesuai dikarenakan peserta didik tidak hanya mampu memahami konsep belajar biologi, namun juga memahami konsep diri akan kebutuhan dan kelebihan yang dimiliki. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model ADDIE dalam pengembangan rubrik penilaian diri mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar Biologi peserta didik SMA pada materi sistem reproduksi manusia melalui konsep pengenalan dan pemahaman diri pada penilaian diri dengan metode Traffic Light Code.

Assessment is one of the important things to do, especially in differential learning in the independent curriculum currently implemented. Non-cognitive diagnostic assessment is an assessment that is still rarely researched. This research aimed to develop a non-cognitive diagnostic assessment (learning style) at the high school level. The method used in this research is development, or Research and Development (RD). The model used in this research is the ADDIE model. The model consists of five stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. This research sample involved all class X students, totaling 30 students. Based on research that has been conducted, shows that non-cognitive diagnostic instruments based on experiential learning theory can be used to determine student learning styles. Based on SHS 22 Tangerang Regency, it is known that students tend to have a learning style. Reflective observational elements have the highest percentage of 76.44% and abstract conceptual elements have the lowest percentage of 71.89%.

Materials about the reproductive system are often considered difficult by students, but have a significant influence on their awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy reproductive organs and obtaining appropriate sexual education. Assessment is a structured process to collect information about student achievement in learning. One of the assessment methods that can be applied by teachers is formative assessment. The application of formative assessment can be done by utilizing technological advances, such as the use of quizizzes. Therefore, this study aims to develop a quizizz-based formative assessment for reproductive system material in class XI, with the aim of evaluating the feasibility of the product through validity testing, item reliability testing, difficulty level testing, and differentiation testing. The method used was R&D (Research and Development) with Thiagarajan's 4D approach. The research subjects consisted of 20 XI grade students in one of the high schools in Bojongkulur. The results obtained from several product validation tests by validators show that: The logical validity test reached 85.17%, out of 25 items, 20 were declared valid and 5 were invalid. Reliability of formative assessment questions shows a fairly good level of reliability with a reliability coefficient of 0.62. The findings of this study are in line with the core and basic competencies, able to measure students' high level of cognition, and effective in distinguishing between students with high and low abilities.

Salah satu kurikulum yang tengah dikembangkan di Indonesia adalah kurikulum pemadatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran mengenai keanekaragaman hayati yang disesuaikan dengan kurikulum pemadatan (curriculum compacting). Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) menggunakan model 4D dari Thiagarajan. Sebanyak 30 siswa kelas X dijadikan sebagai subjek penelitian, dan dua validator, yaitu seorang guru sekolah menengah atas dan seorang dosen dengan pengalaman luas dalam penilaian pengajaran biologi, turut serta dalam validasi instrumen. Data yang dikumpulkan bersifat kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Validasi ahli menghasilkan data yang menunjukkan kegunaan instrumen. Dari 20 soal yang diajukan sebelum uji empiris, 10 soal dinyatakan valid dan 10 soal lainnya tidak valid. Nilai reliabilitas sebesar 5,7 menunjukkan kriteria cukup. Dalam uji tingkat kesukaran, 7 soal termasuk kategori cukup, sementara 13 soal dianggap mudah. Uji daya pembeda menunjukkan bahwa 5 soal berada pada kategori buruk, 10 soal cukup, 4 soal baik, dan 1 soal sangat baik. Kesimpulannya, instrumen ini dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran tentang keanekaragaman hayati.

Dibutuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis yang mampu mendukung perubahan dalam era globalisasi. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan keterampilan tersebut adalah menggunakan media pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan website Mikrobo pada pembelajaran blended learning materi bakteri untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah research and development (R&D) dengan desain penelitian model Hannafin & Peck. Pengumpulan data melibatkan kuesioner dan wawancara guru. Selain itu dilakukan juga tahapan penilaian kebutuhan (need assessment), mendesain web Mikrobo dan implementasinya dengan disertai proses evaluasi serta revisi pada setiap tahapnya. Web Mikrobo mendapat kriteria penilaian sangat valid dari ahli media dan materi dengan nilai sebesar 3,36 dan 3,56. Uji coba kelompok kecil dan besar oleh siswa kelas X IPA SMAN 4 Rangkasbitung menunjukan nilai sebesar 3,42 dan 3,32 dengan kriteria sangat valid juga. Hasil penilaian menunjukan bahwa web ini mudah digunakan, sangat informatif, memiliki tampilan menarik, dan menampilkan gambar serta video dengan resolusi tinggi. Uji efektivitas dilakukan menggunakan metode one-group pretest- posttest design pada 35 siswa menghasilkan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,52 yang termasuk pada kategori sedang. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan web Mikrobo cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran blended learning materi bakteri.Web Mikrobo dapat digunakan oleh guru sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran. Web ini juga dapat digunakan oleh siswa diluar jam sekolah sebagai sumber daya tambahan yang melengkapi materi di kelas. Tentunya Web Mikrobo ini harus dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan dengan menyesuaikan perkembangan kurikulum serta perkembangan teknologi informasi.

This study aims to develop an interactive flipbook-based e-module as a learning medium for the mammal practicum to enhance the critical thinking skills of biology education students. The research employed a research and development (R&D) approach using the Hannafin and Peck model, which includes three main stages: needs analysis, design and development, and implementation with evaluation. The participants involved were biology education students enrolled in the mammal practicum course. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires for both content and media, as well as critical thinking tests. The validation results indicated that the developed e-module met the feasibility standards in terms of both content accuracy and visual presentation. Limited trials showed a notable improvement in students’ critical thinking abilities after using the e-module. Therefore, the interactive flipbook-based e-module is considered effective and suitable as an alternative learning medium in mammal practicum sessions to support students’ critical thinking development.

Cattle is one of the largest livestock products in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of the myostatin (MSTN) gene found in several cattle in Indonesia. This research was a descriptive analysis research based on several literature studies. Gene data was taken from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). The gene data taken were from several species such as Bos indicus, Bos indicus×Bos taurus, and Bos taurus. Meanwhile, Bubalus bubalis, Capra hircus, and Cervis sp. were selected as outgroups. DNA sequence data analysis was aligned using MEGA XI software. MSTN gene parameters showed results between the kinship of several cattle in Indonesia. From these results it can be found that there were still several species of cattle in Indonesia that were not yet found in the NCBI database on the MSTN gene. For example, Madura cattle (Bos javanicus), PO Kebumen, PO Aceh, and several livestock products that do not yet have the MSTN gene characterization database. Therefore, to improve the quality of beef in Indonesia, it is necessary to characterize the MSTN gene in several species that are not yet in the database as a benchmark for the quality level of cattle in Indonesia.
