Abstract

Siswa yang memiliki minat belajar tinggi merupakan impian setiap pendidik, tetapi dalam proses belajar mengajar pendidik juga harus mampu memberikan pengajaran dengan baik dan menyenangkan, sehingga siswa tidak mengalami kebosanan. Para pendidik harus mempersiapkan dorongan ketika kegiatan belajar mengajar berlangsung, seperti penggunaan media visual. Artikel ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui meta-analisis pengaruh media visual terhadap minat belajar siswa SD pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian meta-analisis, kemudian pada teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumen tertulis dan populasi yang berasal dari buku, jurnal dan artikel. Kemudian sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling ditentukan sesuai pembahasan artikel ini, sebanyak 20 artikel. Selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan prosentase diagram, tabel dan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa 1. Media proyeksi diam banyak digunakan dan berpengaruh terhadap minat belajar siswa pada pembelajar matematika, dengan prosentase sebesar 60%. 2. Subjek siswa SD banyak dijadikan penelitian, dengan 16 subjek siswa SD dalam 20 artikel. 3. Metode yang banyak digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jumlah 8 data kuantitatif. 4. Dan analisis data yang banyak digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan prosentase 40,0. 5. Hasil rata-rata sebelum diberikan media visual 59,34 dan meningkat 15,4 kemudian hasil akhir menjadi 74,7.

Abstract

Menurunnya kesadaran untuk menghayati dan menjiwai nila-nilai Pancasila akan menyebabkan terjadinya degradasi karakter bangsa. Jika terus dibiarkan akan berdampak pada moral dan akhlak generasi muda yang tidak sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai Pancasila melalui keteladaan dan pembiasaan. Penelitian didasarkan pada proses studi kepustakaan atau library research. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif-kritis yakni dengan lebih menekankan pada kemampuan analisis dan penelaahan terhadap sumber-sumber kepustakaan terpilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi nilai-nilai Pancasila melalui keteladanan (role model) dilakukan dengan cara meningkatkan sisi religius siswa, memberikan bimbingan dan melatih ketaatan siswa untuk mematuhi tata tertib, membangkitkan semangat kebangsaan dan rasa cinta tanah air, menanamkan sikap demokratis pada siswa, mengajarkan peduli sosial dan tidak apatis. Implementasi nilai-nilai Pancasila melalui pembiasaan (habituation) dilakukan dengan membiasakan siswa memiliki sikap toleransi beragama, saling mencintai  dan menghargai sesama manusia, tidak menjadikan perbedaan sebagai alasan untuk terpecah belah, terbiasa mengambil keputusan secara musyawarah, berteman dengan siapa saja dan memiliki solidaritas yang tinggiCharacter Education Based on Pancasila Values through Modeling and Habit in Elementary Schools. Decreased awareness to internalize and inspire the values of Pancasila will lead to the degradation of the nation's character. If left unchecked will have an impact on the morale and attitudes of the younger generation that are not in accordance with the values of Pancasila. This study aims to determine the implementation of character education based on Pancasila values through role models and habituation. This research is based on the library research process. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative-critical, namely by emphasizing the ability of analysis and analysis of selected library sources. The results showed that the implementation of Pancasila values through role models was done by improving the religious side of students, providing guidance and training students' obedience to obey the rules, arouse the national spirit and love of the motherland, instilling democratic attitudes in students, teaching social care and not apathetic. Whereas the implementation of the values of Pancasila through habituation is done by accustoming students to having an attitude of religious tolerance, mutual love and respect for fellow human beings, not making a difference as an excuse to be divided, accustomed to making deliberative decisions, making friends with anyone and having solidarity.

Abstract

Pemberian edukasi tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut bertujuan untuuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan cara pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut khuusnya pada anak-anak Panti Asuhan Mahbubiyah Surabaya. Beberapa dari mereka kurang pengetahuan tentang bagaimana cara menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang baik sehingga diperlukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dalam peningkatan pengetahuan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut agar terhindar dari kerusakaan gigi dan mulut yaitu berupa pemberian edukasi dan pemeriksaan rongga mulut anak anak Panti Mahbubiyah Surabaya. Pemeriksaan gigi dan mulut (oral screening) pada anak anak Panti Asuhan Mahbubiyah dilakukan untuk mendeteksi sejak dini kerusakan gigi dan mulut yang terjadi pada anak-anak. Pemberian edukasi kesehatan gigi dan mulut dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan alat peraga berupa phantom gigi dan poster. Setelah pemberian edukasi, anak anak diberikan beberapa pertanyaan langsung untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan anak anak tentang pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pemeriksaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada anak anak. semua anak di panti asuhan sangat kooperatif dan mau diperiksa kondisi rongga mulutnya. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini anak-anak panti asuhan tersebut dapat mengerti mengenai permasalahan gigi dan mulut yang ada pada dirinya, sehingga dapat memotivasi keinginan untuk melakukan pemeriksaan dan tindakan lebih lanjut ke dokter gigi.

Abstract

Dental caries in children remains a significant public health problem in Indonesia, particularly among primary school-aged children. Limited oral health literacy and insufficient involvement of teachers and parents in oral hygiene guidance contribute to the high prevalence of dental caries. This study aimed to enhance children’s oral hygiene knowledge and practices through Training of Trainers (ToT)-based education for teachers and parents within a partnership between the Faculty of Dentistry, Hang Tuah University, and El Rahma Islamic Boarding School, Surabaya. A pretest–posttest design was applied, involving fifth-grade students as research subjects. Teachers and parents received ToT-based training delivered by dental professionals and subsequently provided oral health education to students. Knowledge levels were assessed using questionnaires administered before and after the intervention and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results demonstrated a significant increase in students’ mean knowledge scores, from 58.14 ± 21.30 at pretest to 77.21 ± 18.30 at posttest (p < 0.05). In addition, partner satisfaction questionnaires indicated a very high level of satisfaction with the program implementation. In conclusion, ToT-based oral health education involving teachers and parents is effective in improving children’s oral hygiene knowledge and has the potential to promote sustainable oral health behavior changes within the school environment.

Abstract

Introduction: Periodontal disease is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the tooth-supporting tissues  and is often associated with various systemic disorders. Understanding this relationship is essential for comprehensive dental management. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of systemic risk factors among patients with chronic periodontitis at Haji Regional Public Hospital, East Java Province. Methods: A descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional design involving 108 patients diagnosed with chronic periodontitis. Data were collected from electronic medical records and analyzed descriptively using cross-tabulation. Results: The majority of patients were older adults (51.9%) and female (59.3%). A total of 78.7% had systemic conditions, the most common being hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: Most chronic periodontitis patients had systemic conditions, particularly among older adults. These findings emphasize the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in periodontal care.Prevalensi faktor risiko sistemik pada pasien periodontitis kronis di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Haji Provinsi Jawa Timur: Studi cross sectional Pendahuluan: Penyakit periodontal merupakan penyakit inflamasi kronis yang memengaruhi jaringan penyangga gigi dan sering kali berhubungan dengan berbagai gangguan sistemik. Memahami hubungan ini sangat penting untuk penatalaksanaan kedokteran gigi yang komprehensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi faktor risiko sistemik pada pasien dengan periodontitis kronis di Rumah sakit Umum Daerah Haji Provinsi Jawa Timur. Metode: Penelitian observasional deskriptif dengan desain potong lintang yang melibatkan 108 pasien yang didiagnosis dengan periodontitis kronis. Data dikumpulkan dari dokumentasi medis elektronik dan dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan tabel krostab. Hasil: Mayoritas pasien berusia lanjut (51,9%) dan berjenis kelamin perempuan (59,3%). Sebanyak 78,7% memiliki kondisi sistemik, yang paling umum adalah hipertensi dan diabetes melitus. Simpulan: Sebagian besar pasien dengan periodontitis kronis memiliki kondisi sistemik, terutama pada kelompok usia lanjut. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pendekatan interdisipliner dalam perawatan periodontal.

Abstract

This study investigates the extent to which elementary school teachers implement digital-based learning management using flipbook applications. As the educational landscape rapidly shifts towards the integration of technology, interactive tools like flipbooks are gaining attention for their potential to enhance learning outcomes by making content more engaging and visually appealing. However, there is limited research on the adoption of flipbook-based digital learning management in schools. This study addresses this gap by conducting a survey involving 378 elementary school teachers. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method, utilizing an online questionnaire distributed via Google Forms to gather data on teachers' familiarity with, experience in designing, and implementation of digital learning using interactive flipbooks. The findings reveal that 33.07% of the respondents are not familiar with flipbook-based digital learning management, with only a small percentage (7.67%) indicating high familiarity. The survey also highlights that 45.50% of teachers have never designed digital learning management using interactive flipbooks, and 67.20% have never implemented it in the classroom. Despite the recognized benefits, such as improved student engagement and motivation, the results suggest a considerable gap in both awareness and usage of flipbook applications. The study concludes that targeted professional development and better access to digital resources are essential for increasing the adoption of flipbook-based learning management. Recommendations include offering training programs to enhance teachers' skills in designing and implementing digital-based learning management using flipbook applications.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi dan literasi keuangan masyarakat melalui integrasi permainan tradisional cukil lidi sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal. Program dilaksanakan di Pondok An-Nahdloh, Tanjung Sepat, Malaysia, dengan melibatkan 30 peserta yang terdiri atas santri dan masyarakat sekitar. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dengan tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut. Permainan cukil lidi dimodifikasi sehingga selain melatih keterampilan berhitung juga digunakan sebagai simulasi transaksi keuangan sederhana, seperti menabung, membuat pos pengeluaran, dan pengelolaan sumber daya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan peserta. Nilai rata-rata numerasi meningkat dari 53,7% menjadi 82,9% (kenaikan 29,3 poin persentase), sedangkan rata-rata literasi keuangan meningkat dari 50,1% menjadi 75,0% (kenaikan 24,9 poin persentase). Selain aspek kognitif, kegiatan ini juga memberikan dampak afektif dan sosial, yaitu meningkatnya motivasi belajar, kerja sama, serta rasa kebersamaan di antara peserta. Respon guru dan masyarakat menunjukkan dukungan penuh, dengan tingkat komitmen mencapai 100% untuk melanjutkan program. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa permainan tradisional dapat menjadi sarana edukasi yang efektif sekaligus melestarikan nilai budaya lokal. Dengan demikian, pengabdian masyarakat berbasis kearifan lokal memberikan kontribusi ganda, yaitu peningkatan keterampilan numerasi dan literasi keuangan serta penguatan identitas budaya. Program ini berpotensi untuk direplikasi di lembaga pendidikan lain sebagai model pembelajaran yang inovatif, kontekstual, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model supported by Blooket media on student learning outcomes in Grade IV Science and Social Studies (IPAS) at SD Iskandar Said, Surabaya. The study was conducted in response to low student learning outcomes associated with the use of conventional instructional methods and limited utilization of interactive learning media. A quantitative approach was employed using a one-group pretest–posttest pre-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 25 students from Class IVA. Data were collected through learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest), observation sheets of learning implementation, and student response questionnaires. The results indicated that the mean pretest score of 48.80 increased to 85.60 in the posttest. The N-Gain value of 0.73 was categorized as high, indicating a substantial improvement in learning outcomes. Observation results showed a score of 62, categorized as good, reflecting consistent implementation of the learning model. Student response questionnaire results indicated a positive level of engagement, with a percentage of 95%. These findings suggest that the application of the TGT learning model supported by Blooket media contributes to improved learning outcomes and encourages active student participation in the learning process.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the Indonesian language subject, particularly on the material of intrinsic elements of narrative texts. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of Educaplay as a learning media on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Iskandar Said Surabaya. This research employed a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design using a one-group pretest-posttest type. The research sample consisted of 22 students from class IV-B. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test consisting of 10 questions administered for both the pretest and posttest. The pretest results showed that only 4.5% of students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM), with a class average score of 60.45. After the implementation of the Educaplay learning media, the posttest results indicated a significant improvement, with 90.9% of students successfully exceeding the KKM and the average score increasing to 88.64. The N-Gain analysis showed an average score of 0.74, which falls into the high category. Therefore, the Educaplay learning media was proven to be effective in improving Indonesian language learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Iskandar Said Surabaya.

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberdayakan masyarakat Kelurahan Siwalankerto, Surabaya, melalui inovasi produk ecocraft berbahan dasar limbah cangkang telur sebagai upaya peningkatan ekonomi kreatif dan kesadaran lingkungan. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi masyarakat, khususnya ibu rumah tangga, adalah keterbatasan akses peluang usaha dan keterampilan produksi, serta penumpukan limbah cangkang telur yang berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi dan edukasi mengenai potensi limbah, pelatihan teknik produksi ecocraft, pendampingan desain produk, pelatihan pemasaran digital, serta pembentukan komunitas usaha kreatif berbasis limbah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan peserta dalam mengolah limbah menjadi produk bernilai jual, berkembangnya strategi promosi digital, serta terbentuknya komunitas usaha berkelanjutan. Luaran yang dihasilkan berupa produk ecocraft siap jual, peningkatan kompetensi produksi dan pemasaran, serta dokumentasi kegiatan yang dapat direplikasi. Program ini tidak hanya memberikan dampak ekonomi bagi masyarakat, tetapi juga memperkuat kesadaran pengelolaan limbah secara kreatif dan berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: pemberdayaan masyarakat; ecocraft; limbah cangkang telur; ekonomi kreatif;  kesadaran lingkungan. Abstract This community service program aims to empower the people of Siwalankerto Village, Surabaya, through the innovation of ecocraft products made from eggshell waste as an effort to enhance the creative economy and environmental awareness. The main challenges faced by the community, especially housewives, include limited access to business opportunities and production skills, as well as the accumulation of eggshell waste that potentially pollutes the environment. The implementation method consists of socialization and education on waste potential, training in ecocraft production techniques, product design assistance, digital marketing training, and the establishment of a waste-based creative business community. The results indicate an improvement in participants' skills in processing waste into marketable products, the development of digital promotion strategies, and the formation of a sustainable business community. The outputs include market-ready ecocraft products, increased production and marketing competencies, and replicable training documentation. This program not only provides economic benefits for the community but also strengthens creative and sustainable waste management practices. Keywords: community empowerment; ecocraft; eggshell waste; creative economy; environmental awareness.
