Abstract

This study aims to see how disclosure of corporate social responsibility (CSR) impacts the cost of capital (COC). This study uses 260 observations of non-financial companies listed on the IDX from 2016 to 2018. The technical analysis in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. Abstract

This study examines the role of parents’ English language experience in shaping the English competence of EFL (English as a Foreign Language) students. It focuses on how parental involvement, regardless of their English proficiency, supports their children’s English development. The research also explores how parents’ educational background, parent-child relationships, and the level of parental involvement contribute to children’s motivation and progress in learning English. Using a qualitative approach, this study investigates how parents with varying levels of English experience contribute to their children’s language learning. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with four 12th-grade students, selected based on their relevance to the study. These students come from families with different educational backgrounds and English language experience. The interviews were semi-structured, focusing on students’ experiences in learning English, the support they receive from their parents, and how their parents’ English language experience shapes their learning process. In addition to the interviews, documentation such as students’ report cards and parents’ salary slips were analyzed to provide context regarding the socio-economic background. The findings show that parental involvement, regardless of their English proficiency, plays a significant role in students’ English development. Parents with limited English experience still provide moral support, emphasize the importance of English for the future, and create a supportive learning environment. The study suggests that schools should enhance parental involvement by offering training and resources, particularly for parents with limited educational backgrounds and English experience, to improve the learning ecosystem and support English learning more effectively.

Abstract

Social media is inevitable part of culture and as the consequence, reading behaviour transforms. This study investigates how digital literature in social media is leveraged through Instagram Reels and TikTok videos, transforming the reading experience in English language acquisition. Employing a phenomenological qualitative methodology, data were gathered via in-depth interviews with three fourth-semester students who participated in the Digital Literature course. The thematic analysis of the data uncovers three primary findings: first, digital literature is favoured for its concise and familiar format that aligns with everyday experiences; second, the interpretation of texts is facilitated by themes and language styles that closely mirror the emotional realities of students; third, digital platforms create opportunities for self-expression, allowing students to experience freedom in writing, sharing, and reflecting on their own personal experiences. The findings of this study highlight that digital literature transcends being merely an alternative medium in literacy education; it embodies a humanistic practice that intertwines language, emotions, and existence. The findings suggest a need to rethink English teaching methods to be more flexible, inclusive, and focused on the emotional experiences of students.

Abstract

This research explores the integration of technology into fable narratives as a means of introducing digital literacy to children, thus, it aims at investigating the perspectives of three experienced literature lecturers on how technology can be embedded within fable stories, focusing on narrative structure and moral conflicts. Employing a qualitative research design with a narrative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with literature. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the findings. Results reveal a shared view that technology should not merely serve as a narrative backdrop but should catalyse critical reflections on ethical, social, and personal dimensions of digital life. Fables are seen as an adaptable medium to instil both traditional values and modern critical thinking about technology. The study concludes that technologically infused fables have the potential to enrich children’s literature, balancing aesthetic integrity with the demands of digital literacy. It is suggested that future research expands into creating and testing specific fable models within educational settings. Keywords: Fable, Technology, Children’s Literature, Digital Literacy

Abstract

Remaja sekolah menengah atas berada pada fase perkembangan psikologis yang dinamis, dengan emosi yang labil dan rasa ingin tahu tinggi, yang menjadikan mereka sangat rentan terhadap pengaruh negatif seperti pergaulan bebas, perundungan, dan perjudian daring. Sayangnya, pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadis di sekolah masih didominasi pendekatan konvensional yang tidak menyentuh realitas sosial siswa secara kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pendekatan holistik dalam pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadis di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Weleri dan menganalisis kontribusinya terhadap pembentukan kesadaran moral siswa. Pendekatan holistik yang digunakan melibatkan integrasi aspek kognitif, afektif, spiritual, dan sosial dalam proses pembelajaran melalui diskusi isu kontemporer, pemanfaatan media audio-visual, taujih dari figur otoritatif, dan pendampingan di asrama dengan sistem pembiasaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan observasi dan wawancara sebagai teknik utama pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ini efektif dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran moral, keterlibatan emosional, dan pemikiran kritis siswa. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi latar belakang keluarga bermasalah, kurangnya sinergi antara orang tua dan sekolah, serta keterbatasan fasilitas. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pendekatan holistik dapat menjadi solusi transformatif dalam pendidikan agama untuk membentengi generasi muda dari krisis moral dan sosial.

Abstract

Pemilihan model pembelajaran yang tepat sangat penting untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, efektif, dan efisien di dalam kelas. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Examples Non Examples terhadap minat belajar siswa pada materi Akhlak di kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Weleri. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal pada pertemuan pertama, pembelajaran yang berlangsung belum mencapai hasil yang optimal dalam menarik minat siswa. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan perbaikan dengan mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Examples Non Examples, yang memanfaatkan media gambar sebagai sarana untuk memperjelas konsep dan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa. Selama penerapan model ini, terlihat adanya peningkatan antusiasme siswa, di mana mereka lebih aktif dan bersemangat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Pembelajaran yang sebelumnya kurang menarik menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan interaktif, menciptakan atmosfer belajar yang lebih kondusif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model Examples Non Examples dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa secara signifikan, sehingga diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam proses pembelajaran, khususnya pada materi Akhlak di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Weleri. Penelitian ini juga memberikan bukti bahwa pendekatan kooperatif yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dapat mendukung pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran dengan lebih efektif.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Fikih di sekolah menengah seringkali menghadapi tantangan rendahnya keaktifan siswa, yang berdampak pada rendahnya pemahaman dan partisipasi dalam proses belajar. Permasalahan ini umumnya disebabkan oleh penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang monoton dan tidak melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas metode resitasi dalam meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran Fikih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 20 siswa kelas XI putri di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Weleri pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode resitasi yang meliputi tahap pemberian tugas, pelaksanaan tugas, dan pertanggungjawaban, secara signifikan mampu meningkatkan keaktifan siswa. Keaktifan tersebut tercermin dalam bentuk keberanian bertanya, menjawab, berdiskusi, serta mempresentasikan hasil tugas secara aktif di depan kelas. Peningkatan terjadi dalam aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik siswa. Selain itu, metode ini juga mendorong siswa untuk lebih bertanggung jawab terhadap proses belajarnya serta membangun budaya akademik yang positif di kelas. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti rasa malu dan kurangnya percaya diri, peran guru sebagai fasilitator dan relevansi materi Fikih dengan kehidupan sehari-hari menjadi faktor pendukung keberhasilan metode ini. Dengan demikian, metode resitasi terbukti efektif sebagai strategi alternatif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan dan kualitas pembelajaran Fikih di sekolah menengah.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran tajwid, khususnya pada materi nun sukun dan tanwin, adalah rendahnya tingkat pemahaman siswa serta minimnya keterlibatan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Kondisi ini berdampak pada kurang optimalnya pencapaian kompetensi yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas X Program Keahlian Kuliner di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Weleri terhadap materi tersebut melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis permainan (game based learning). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus, yang masing-masing meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi untuk perbaikan pembelajaran selanjutnya. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi keaktifan siswa, hasil tes pemahaman, serta catatan reflektif guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode game based learning secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi nun sukun dan tanwin. Hal ini ditandai dengan peningkatan rata-rata nilai tes dan tingkat partisipasi aktif siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, metode ini juga memberikan suasana belajar yang lebih menyenangkan dan memotivasi siswa untuk lebih terlibat secara aktif. Dengan demikian, game based learning dapat dijadikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mengatasi masalah pemahaman dan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran tajwid.

Abstract

Conventional teaching methods, such as grammar-translation and learning through memorisation, summarisation and lectures are still often applied in learning English as a foreign language (EFL). However, the effectiveness of these methods in improving students' language proficiency is still a matter of discussion. This study aims to examine teachers views on conventional teaching methods in EFL and their effects on students’ participation, enthusiasm and learning outcomes. This study applied a qualitative approach through interview techniques. Information was obtained from six EFL students who had experience of traditional methods in their classes. Data were analyzed through thematic method to find the main patterns in the teachers' views and experiences. The findings indicated that the traditional method was successful in improving students' grammar comprehension and writing skills. However, many teachers recognized that this approach is not effective in improving students' speaking and listening skills. In addition, traditional approaches often lead to boredom and lack of student participation in learning activities. Thus, many teachers choose to combine traditional methods with communicative approaches or technology to enhance the learning effect. This study recommends the application of blended learning methods that integrate grammar structures with active communication exercises to produce more interesting and effective learning for EFL students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the theory of the Sharia Supervisory Board to improve the role of the Sharia Supervisory Board. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The discussion of the theory of the Sharia Supervisory Board is explained in detail and structured to provide an in-depth explanation of the Sharia Supervisory Board theoretically. The results of the study found that the theory of the Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB) shows that the SSB theory is shaped like a building where the foundation of the SSB is the faith based on the Al-Quran and Al Hadith and carries out the nature of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Once the foundation is in place, it can carry out its duties and responsibilities as a SSB based on sharia which consists of supervising sharia compliance, recommendations for the development of new products and services, strategic management advisors and making reports and opinions on the results of supervision. If the duties of the SSB have been carried out correctly in sharia banking, sustainable sharia banking activities will be realized in accordance with sharia so that they receive the blessing of Allah Ta'ala. The benefits of this Sharia Supervisory Board theory are to increase knowledge and science in the academic world in providing rules and guidelines that must be carried out by the DPS in carrying out its duties to supervise the activities of Islamic banks to ensure that Islamic bank activities are in accordance with the fatwa of the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI).
