Abstract

Studi ini menyelidiki model epistemologi pesantren dan bagaimana hal itu relevan dengan pendidikan Islam modern. Dalam pendidikan Islam kontemporer, krisis epistemologis yang ditandai dengan perbedaan antara ilmu agama dan ilmu umum telah menghasilkan orientasi nilai yang pragmatis dan cenderung netral. Pesantren menawarkan sistem epistemologi unik yang berakar pada tradisi keilmuan Islam dalam konteks ini. Pendekatan kualitatif dan metode penelitian kepustakaan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Kitab klasik, tulisan intelektual Islam, dan artikel jurnal nasional dan internasional yang relevan dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa epistemologi pesantren dibangun atas integrasi wahyu, akal, tradisi keilmuan (turats), dan otoritas kiai. Ilmu disampaikan melalui metode seperti talaqqi, bandongan, dan sorogan. Tidak hanya aspek rasional-empiris yang menentukan kredibilitas ilmu di pesantren, tetapi juga integritas moral, kontinuitas sumber keilmuan, dan kontribusinya dalam pembentukan akhlak santri. Epistemologi pesantren sangat relevan dengan pendidikan Islam modern, terutama dalam hal integrasi ilmu, penguatan pendidikan karakter, dan pembentukan moderasi beragama. Diharapkan penelitian ini akan memberikan kontribusi konseptual untuk pembangunan pendidikan Islam yang berbasis nilai dan adab.

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower final-year students (santri) at Al-Rifa’ie 1 Islamic Boarding School through the epistemological reconstruction of "khidmah" leadership. The primary issue addressed is the gap between textual Islamic literature mastery (Nalar Bayani) and the students' lack of self-confidence and courage in leading public religious rituals, such as tahlil, istighosah, and serving as prayer imams. The mentoring strategy was implemented by integrating a Sanad-Centric approach (spiritual connection to the founders' lineage) and strengthening self-efficacy using audio imitation methods of the original voice of the boarding school's founder. Systematic steps included the distribution of pocketbooks as unification instruments, sanad transmission (ijazahan), collective practice, and rigorous evaluation stages involving supervised exams and public assessments through a random lottery system. The results indicate a significant transformation in the students' identity, where psychological barriers such as nervousness were successfully converted into mental stability and social legitimacy. This program has successfully established uniform alumni competency standards that are spiritually authoritative and technically prepared to serve as religious ritual leaders within the community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pengembangan bahan ajar Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di MTs Nurul Irsyad Putukrejo sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini mencakup: (1) bagaimana konsep dan prinsip pengembangan bahan ajar PAI yang diterapkan di MTs Nurul Irsyad, dan (2) apa saja manfaat pengembangan bahan ajar tersebut bagi proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan konsep pengembangan bahan ajar PAI yang sesuai dengan karakter madrasah berbasis pesantren serta menjelaskan dampaknya terhadap pemahaman, motivasi, dan karakter peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research), melibatkan enam guru PAI dan kepala madrasah sebagai informan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi kelas, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar dilakukan berdasarkan tiga prinsip utama: kesesuaian dengan kurikulum, penyajian materi yang kontekstual dan mudah dipahami, serta orientasi pada pembentukan akhlak dan nilai Islami. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan secara sistematis dan disesuaikan dengan karakter siswa terbukti mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, minat belajar, efektivitas proses pembelajaran, serta menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih bermakna. Kesimpulannya, pengembangan bahan ajar PAI berkontribusi signifikan dalam memperkuat kualitas pembelajaran dan mendukung pembentukan karakter peserta didik di MTs Nurul Irsyad Putukrejo.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi Halal dan Haram untuk peserta didik kelas VI SDN Sukun 3 Kota Malang dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan subjek 26 peserta didik kelas VI A dan satu guru PAI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis PBL yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan berdasarkan validasi ahli materi (92%), ahli media (90%), serta hasil uji coba lapangan. Selain itu, bahan ajar ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep halal dan haram, menumbuhkan sikap kritis, dan memperkuat nilai religius serta tanggung jawab sosial peserta didik. Proses pengembangan bahan ajar dilakukan secara sistematis melalui tahapan ADDIE, mulai dari analisis kebutuhan peserta didik, perancangan skenario masalah, hingga evaluasi hasil belajar. Penerapan model PBL yang kontekstual membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna, interaktif, dan sesuai dengan kehidupan sehari-hari peserta didik, sehingga mendorong peserta didik untuk aktif berpikir, berdiskusi, dan memecahkan masalah terkait nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

Bahan ajar Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berbasis kearifan lokal memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter serta menanamkan nilai-nilai Islam secara kontekstual pada peserta didik. Keterkaitan antara materi PAI dan budaya lokal membuat pembelajaran lebih bermakna dan dekat dengan kehidupan siswa. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar PAI yang relevan dengan kondisi sosial dan budaya di lingkungan SDI Al-Hikmah. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI melalui integrasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan bahan ajar, uji coba terbatas, serta evaluasi efektivitas penggunaan bahan ajar. Proses ini melibatkan guru dan siswa sebagai subjek utama dalam pengembangan bahan ajar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar PAI berbasis kearifan lokal efektif meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap nilai-nilai keislaman. Siswa menunjukkan perubahan positif dalam sikap tanggung jawab, disiplin, dan kepedulian sosial. Pembelajaran menjadi lebih menarik karena materi dikaitkan dengan pengalaman sehari-hari siswa. Guru juga menjadi lebih mudah mengaitkan konsep PAI dengan realitas kehidupan peserta didik. Integrasi nilai gotong royong, sopan santun, dan tradisi keagamaan lokal memperkuat internalisasi nilai Islam dalam diri siswa. Kesimpulannya, bahan ajar PAI berbasis kearifan lokal efektif dalam memperkuat internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam sekaligus membentuk karakter positif peserta didik.

Abstract

Pesantren, as Islamic educational institutions, have a strategic mission in building the character and faith of young generations. They function not only as educational centers amid the challenges of globalization and moral crisis, but also as institutions for instilling virtuous values. Pesantren focus on the formation of moral character, spiritual strength, and a meaningful life orientation. This study aims to examine how pesantren play a significant role in instilling the value of barakah (blessing) in young generations and to develop a conceptual model of its internalization process. This study employs a qualitative approach with a library research design. Data were obtained from books, scholarly journals, and previous studies related to barakah, pesantren, and character education. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis using a thematic approach to identify ideas, patterns, and the ways pesantren contribute to the cultivation of barakah values. The findings indicate that pesantren instill the value of barakah through a distinctive educational system that includes the central role of the kiai, scholarly and spiritual traditions, a culture of discipline, and a religious and collective environment. The internalization of values occurs through role modeling, habituation, and students’ lived experiences, so that barakah is not only understood theoretically but is also embodied as a life orientation. This process contributes to the formation of young generations with strong moral character, spiritual depth, moral resilience, and a meaningful and beneficial life orientation. This study proposes a model of the pesantren’s role in instilling the value of barakah through the following sequence: Islamic literature → pesantren system → internalization process → character of young generations. This model affirms that pesantren can serve as a foundation for character and spiritual education in building a morally grounded young generation.

Abstract

The moral development of students in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) is an essential aspect of Islamic education, especially amidst the challenges of moral degradation, digital disruption, and social changes that influence the value systems of the younger generation. As Islamic educational institutions based on values ​​and traditions, pesantren play a strategic role in shaping the character of students based on Islamic values ​​while also being adaptive to current developments. This article aims to examine the conceptual model of moral development of students in Islamic boarding schools and the strategy of character education based on Islamic values ​​that are relevant to the contemporary context. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach through literature study (library research). Data were obtained from reputable journal articles, classic and contemporary books, and Islamic education policy documents. The results of the study indicate that the moral development of students in Islamic boarding schools is implemented through an integrative and holistic model, including role models (uswah ḥasanah), daily habits and discipline, spiritual strengthening through worship and etiquette, and support from the pesantren environment and culture as a hidden curriculum. The strategy of character education based on Islamic values ​​is strengthened through the synergistic integration of moral values ​​in formal, non-formal, and informal education. The conclusion of this article confirms that Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) possess structural and cultural advantages in sustainably fostering the moral character of their students. The Islamic boarding school moral development model contributes to the enrichment of Islamic character education theory and has the potential to serve as a conceptual reference for strengthening character education in a broader educational context.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of the values of manners (adab) and respect (takzim) in the book Ta’lim al-Muta’allim by Imam Az-Zarnuji to the concept of the blessings of knowledge in the context of contemporary Islamic education. Amid the modernization of education, which tends to emphasize cognitive and pragmatic aspects, the spiritual dimension in the form of the blessings of knowledge has become increasingly marginalized. This study uses a qualitative approach through library research with content analysis techniques on the text of Ta’lim al-Muta’allim and relevant supporting literature. The results of the study indicate that manners and respect from Az-Zarnuji’s perspective are not merely social ethics, but fundamental prerequisites for achieving the blessings of knowledge. These blessings manifest through sincerity of intention, respect for teachers, and the honoring of knowledge and books. These values remain relevant and applicable in modern education as a foundation for shaping students’ character

Abstract

. This study aims to develop students' mental capacity through muhadhoroh activities at Pondok Pesantren Raudlatul Ulum 1. Muhadhoroh is a public speaking practice that includes speeches, lectures, sermons, and master of ceremony roles. The method used is participatory mentoring with stages of initial observation, activity planning, routine muhadhoroh implementation, and evaluation and reflection. The results show that structured and routine muhadhoroh activities can increase self-confidence, courage to speak in public, and students' communication skills. This activity also shapes students' mentality to be more prepared to become missionary cadres and community leaders. The outcomes of this activity are increased student self-confidence, the formation of more structured muhadhoroh activities, and a community service report.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of the nadzaman memorization method as a learning strategy in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in enhancing students’ ability to understand and remember lesson materials. Nadzaman is a traditional method in the form of Arabic poetry or verses containing summaries of religious knowledge in easily memorizable stanzas. This research employs a qualitative approach with literature study and field observation methods in several pesantren. The findings indicate that the nadzaman method has high relevance in the context of pesantren learning due to several factors: (1) it facilitates the memorization process through rhyme and rhythm patterns, (2) enhances long-term memory retention, (3) integrates Arabic language learning with religious materials, and (4) preserves the classical Islamic scholarly tradition. This study concludes that the nadzaman method remains relevant as one of the learning methods in modern pesantren, although it needs to be integrated with contemporary learning methods for more optimal results.
