Abstract

The quality of scientific research is largely determined by the accuracy of the data collection techniques employed. This article provides an in-depth examination of data collection methods based on the methodological perspective of John W. Creswell, a prominent figure in the field of research methodology. The analysis focuses on the three principal approaches developed by Creswell: quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods. In the quantitative approach, Creswell emphasizes the use of surveys, experiments, and validated measurement instruments to produce statistically analyzable data. The qualitative approach highlights in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis as tools to understand the subjective meanings of human experiences. Meanwhile, the mixed methods approach allows for the systematic integration of quantitative and qualitative data to gain a more comprehensive understanding of research phenomena. The findings indicate that Creswell’s framework offers a comprehensive methodological guide, enabling researchers to select the most appropriate techniques based on research objectives, context, and complexity. Thus, understanding Creswell’s approach plays a vital role in designing research that is valid, reliable, and meaningful.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the needs of students for a learning medium that can overcome problems during the learning process related to the difficulties of students in understanding the concept of the water cycle. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of students in the use of learning media related to the concept of the water cycle in class V science subjects SDN Tapos 02, Tenjo District, Bogor Regency. The research method used is R&D which refers to the Borg & Gall model with adjustments according to the research context at 5 stages: 1) survey and information gathering; 2) product design; 3) product validation; 4) design revisions and improvements; 5) limited trials. Data was obtained through a limited trial conducted on grade V elementary school students. The results of research on the development of the Sigil application as a learning medium show that the average percentage of student response instrument data obtained 89% of the "very good" category, thus the development of the Sigil application as a learning medium on the concept of the water cycle in grade V elementary science subjects developed by researchers is worthy of being a learning media.

Abstract

Sistem management influencer adalah sistem yang digunakan untuk mencari dan merekomendasikan influencer dalam mempromosikan suatu produk pada sebuah perusahaann. Pada PT. XYZ pencarian dan rekomendasi masih menggunakan cara manual yaitu dengan melihat profil influencer  satu-persatu dari social media. Akibatnya dibutuhkan waktu yang lama untuk seleksi dan penilaiannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem rekomendasi influencer Management yang dapat membantu Divisi Key Opinion Leader Specialist. Perancangan sistem rekomendasi ini menggunakan sistem informasi berbasis knowledge-based filtering dan SMART (Simple Multy Atribute Rating Tehnique) yang meliputi tahap analisis identifikasi item yang relevan bagi pengguna, memanfaatkan pengetahuan preferensi pengguna, memanfaatkan pengetahuan item dan memanfaatkan pengetahuan rekomendasi. Sistem ini dapat menerima masukan dari pengguna sesuai kebutuhan usaha masing-masing dan mengeluarkan rekomendasi influencer yang sedang di cari sesuai kategori nya masing-masing. Dengan memanfaatkan dua atribut, yaitu engagement rate dan growth rate maka sistem akan dibangun dengan aplikasi berbasis web. Di masa depan sistem akan dikemangkan dengan aplikasi berbasis android.

Abstract

Distinguishing fact from opinion is an essential information literacy skill for elementary students, yet achievement in Indonesia remains below minimum standards because instruction relies predominantly on text-based media. This study developed, validated, and tested the initial effectiveness of an Edpuzzle-based interactive video for fact-and-opinion instruction in Grade 5. Development followed the ADDIE model and applied principles of generative processing from the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning through embedded questions and formative feedback. Three experts assessed content validity using Aiken’s V. Instrument quality was evaluated through item validity, KR-20 reliability, difficulty index, and discrimination index. Effectiveness was tested using a one-group pretest–posttest design (n = 35) with a paired-samples t-test, Cohen’s d, and normalized gain (N-Gain). Content validity yielded Aiken's V = 0.793, KR-20 reliability = 0.880, and a student response rate of 90.89%. Posttest scores (M = 83.83) were significantly higher than pretest scores (M = 62.37): t(34) = 26.80, p < .001, Cohen’s d = 2.14, N-Gain = 0.60 (moderate gain). The video medium is effective as an initial instructional intervention for Grade 5 fact-and-opinion learning.
