Abstract

English has become an important international language in communication between countries, business, technology, and access to educational resources around the world. In this case, English language skills are not only a necessity, but also a competitive advantage in facing global competition. However, unfortunately, English learning for Selat village students is currently still not achieving maximum results due to the low interest in learning and motivation of students in learning English vocabulary. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of increasing children's understanding of basic English vocabulary in Selat Village through the application of Game Based Learning (GBL) with Crossword media. The method used is PALS (Participatory Action and Learning System), namely a participatory approach that involves students and teachers in planning, implementing and evaluating learning actions. Initial problem identification indicates low mastery of English vocabulary and lack of student motivation. The improvement plan is in the form of implementing Game Based Learning using crossword puzzles. The results showed a substantial increase in students' understanding and memorization of English vocabulary, with students' positive response and enthusiasm for this learning method. The conclusion of this research is that Game Based Learning using crossword puzzles is effective in increasing students' understanding of basic English vocabulary in Selat Village.

Abstract

Virus corona adalah suatu wabah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh penularan virus Sars-coV-2. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh para ahli Covid-19 adalah jenis virus yang penularannya cukup kilat Virus ini dapat menular melalui udara maupun sentuhan. . Karena alasan tersebut pemerintah mengambil keputusan yaitu semua kegiatan di luar rumah dibatasi dan mengaja selruh masyarakat Indonesia agar selalu mentaati protokol kesehatan. Tidak terkecuali dalam bidang pendidikan, proses belajar mengajar dilakukan dari rumah atau daring dengan mengguakan media pembelajaran seperti googlle clasroom, E-learning, Youtube, WhatsApp Group, Emodo, Zoom, Googlemeet maupun platfrom lainnya. Tetapi pelaksanaan pembelajaran jarak jauh tidak selalu terlaksana dengan baik, hal tersebut dikarenakan sarana prasarana yang belum sepenuhnya mendukung pengunaan teknologi saat proses pembelajaran. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah, untuk mengetahui dampak pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas terhadap kegiatan belajar di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodepenelitian yang digunakanadalahpenelitiandeskriptifkualitatif. Dari hasil wawancara pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas banyak memberikan dampak positif terhadap kegiatan belajar di sekolah dasar antara lain, meningkatkan semangat siswa dalam belajar, guru dapat menyampaikan materi secara langsung kepada para siswa sehingga siswa lebih memahami materi yang disampaikan, guru bisa membimbing siswa yang kurang dalam membaca dan menulis,dan mengurangi angka putus sekolah.

Abstract

Penguatan karakter disiplin dan rasa ingin tahu siswa di SDN 2 Pesaban harus terus ditumbuhkan karena dengan begitu siswa akan memiliki rasa disiplin dan rasa ingin tahu. Pada program satama siswa akan diajarkan untuk disiplin dan memiliki rasa keingintahuan tentang suatu hal, dengan program satama siswa akan belajar disiplin dengan menggunakan metode diskusi kami dapat melihat seberapa tertib siswa selama diskusi berjalan sedangkan dalam melihat keingintahuan siswa kami menggunakan metode tanya jawab dengan begitu kami bisa mencari tahu bagaimana tingkat rasa ingin tahu siswa melalui cerita dongeng yang kami dongengkan. Dari setiap pertemuan kami melihat bahwa karakter disiplin dan rasa ingin tahu siswa berkembang secara signifikan. Program satama ini berjalan 4 pertemuan dimana setiap pertemuan pasti ada perubahan siswa dari kurang disiplin dalam diskusi menjadi disiplin dalam mengikuti diskusi dan rasa ingin tahu siswa juga semakin baik dari tidak ada yang bertanya menjadi banyak yang bertanya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gaya belajar anak Desa Selat dalam belajar bahasa Inggris konteks budaya lokal Bali. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan Desa Selat, Kabupaten Bangli dengan jumlah 35 anak. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, wawancara dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan menggunakan teknik dari Miles dan Huberman yakni mengumpulkan suatu data, reduksi suatu data, menyajikan suatu data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu gaya belajar anak Desa Selat di dominasi oleh gaya belajar kinerstetik sebesar 43% dan aural sebesar 32% belajar dimana ini disebabkan karena di Desa Selat mengadakan kegiatan les eksternal dalam menjaga dan melestarikan seni budaya Bali seperti menari, megambel dan menyurat aksara Bali.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine the effectiveness of using a Smart Book as an alternative learning medium to assist students with reading difficulties at SMA Utama Widyalaya Astika Dharma. This study employed a qualitative method with data collected through observation and interviews. The findings revealed that the Smart Book improved students’ reading skills gradually through interactive features such as images, audio, and engaging quizzes. Moreover, the media enhanced students’ motivation and active participation during learning activities. However, some challenges were identified in navigation and user instructions, which need further improvement. Overall, the use of Smart Bookproved to be effective and suitable as an instructional medium for students with reading difficulties at the senior high school level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan bahan bacaan literasi berbasis kearifan lokal berbentuk flipbook untuk siswa Utama Widyalaya Astika Dharma. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D), dengan model ADDIE. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Utama Widyalaya Astika Dharma. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua validasi ahli pada aspek isi dan desain ilustrasi bahan bacaan literasi. Prosedur pengembangan bahan bacaan literasi berbasis kearifan lokal berbentuk flipbook terdiri atas empat langkah, yaitu analisis kebutuhan siswa dan guru, rancangan desain, tahap pengembangan bahan bacaan literasi, dan uji validitas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan, yaitu angket atau kuesioner dan wawancara. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa dan guru membutuhkan bahan bacaan literasi yang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman, relevan, interaktif, menarik, mengusung tema kearifan lokal, dan disajikan dalam format digital. Maka, dikembangkan novel berbasis kearifan lokal berbentuk flipbook untuk siswa Utama Widyalaya Astika Dharma, dan hasil validasi ahli pada aspek isi bahan bacaan literasi memperoleh skor 86 dengan persentase 95,5 yang termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Valid”. Sementara itu, hasil validasi ahli pada aspek desain ilustrasi bahan bacaan literasi, diperoleh skor sama, yaitu 86 dengan persentase 95,5, yang juga termasuk kategori “Sangat Valid”. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan bacaan literasi yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan sebagai bahan bacaan literasi untuk siswa di Utama Widyalaya Astika Dharma.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the English vocabulary mastery of first-grade students at Rendang Public Elementary School 3 on the topic of Colors through the implementation of YouTube as a learning medium. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 17 first-grade students in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through tests, observations, and field notes, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed a significant increase in students’ average vocabulary scores—from 51.96 in the pre-test to 87.78 in the post-test of the first cycle, and from 67.59 to 89.68 in the second cycle. In addition to academic improvement, students also showed more active, enthusiastic, and participatory learning behavior during the teaching process. The use of YouTube videos combining visual, auditory, and kinesthetic elements proved effective in strengthening students’ vocabulary retention while creating a fun and interactive learning environment. Therefore, YouTube is considered an effective and contextual medium for teaching English vocabulary, aligning with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes creativity, active participation, and learner autonomy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the challenges faced by teachers in lower-grade learning at SD Negeri 5 Nongan. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with 5 third-grade students as subjects, and data were collected through interviews and observations. Data analysis was conducted descriptively. Findings indicate that teachers encounter difficulties such as low student concentration and motivation, differences in reading and writing skills, and limited teaching resources and media. To address these challenges, teachers apply persuasive approaches, concrete media and educational games, as well as active and enjoyable learning methods, adapted to students’ concrete operational development stage. The study emphasizes the importance of teachers’ ability to manage classrooms, adjust strategies, and innovate in media use to enhance learning outcomes. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for teachers and schools to improve learning effectiveness in lower grades.

Abstract

The ASA Cendikia Program: Fostering Students’ Learning Motivation in Rendang Village is a community service initiative aimed at enhancing students’ motivation and the overall quality of education at the elementary school level in Rendang Village. The program was initiated in response to low student interest in learning and limited educational facilities, which have negatively affected students’ academic achievement. The methodology employed in this program consisted of four main stages: planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The activities were carried out through collaborative involvement of university students, teachers, and local village authorities as key partners. Program activities included academic tutoring, distribution of learning materials, introduction to interactive learning methods, and motivational training for students. The results indicate a notable increase in students’ enthusiasm for learning, improved interaction between teachers and students, and heightened awareness of the importance of education. Therefore, this program is expected to serve as a sustainable model of educational empowerment that supports the enhancement of learning motivation in rural communities.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of a flipbook teaching material for the Bahasa Indonesia subject, specifically on the topic of adjectives, for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 5 Nongan. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model and was conducted at SD Negeri 5 Nongan. The research subjects consisted of two experts: one validating the material aspect and the other validating the design aspect. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and interviews, while data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study indicate that the flipbook teaching material for the Bahasa Indonesia subject on the topic of adjectives is appropriate for use in fifth-grade learning at SD Negeri 5 Nongan. This is evidenced by the material expert validation results, which obtained a score of 60 with an average validity rate of 80%, categorized as “Highly Valid.” Meanwhile, the design expert validation results obtained a score of 62 with an average validity rate of 82.6%, also categorized as “Highly Valid.” Therefore, this flipbook teaching material is expected to enhance students’ engagement, understanding, and learning motivation in Bahasa Indonesia instruction in the digital era.
