Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine students' ability to solve HOTS-based mathematics problems on the division material in grade IV at SDN 104218 Sidomulyo, to identify students' responses to the given instrument, as well as to examine the validity, reliability, and discriminatory power of the HOTS-based mathematics problem instrument on the division material in grade IV at SDN 104218 Sidomulyo, consisting of 10 questions. This research was a quantitative study using a descriptive method. The population in this research consisted of 43 students, while the sample included 24 students. The research instrument comprised 10 HOTS-based mathematics problems on the division material for grade IV and 20 questionnaire statements on student responses. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software. The results of this research showed that students' abilities were classified as Very High for 2 students (8.3%), High for 3 students (12.5%), Moderate for 11 students (45.8%), Low for 3 students (12.5%), and Very Low for 5 students (20.8%). Students' absorption rate was 60.7%. The majority of the sample gave a positive response to the problem instrument. Out of the 10 instrument items, all were deemed valid and reliable, with 3 questions having good discriminatory power and 7 questions having very good discriminatory power.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the capacity of teachers at the Al-Marwa Private Elementary School (MIS) in creating interactive and engaging digital literacy learning media, namely digital picture story books. The background to this activity is the low level of student literacy and the continued dominance of conventional learning methods that have not optimally utilized digital technology. Through a participatory training approach, teachers are equipped with digital literacy knowledge and technical skills using applications such as Canva and Heyzine to create digital books. The implementation results show that teachers experienced an increased understanding of digital literacy and enthusiasm in developing new learning media. Evaluations from 11 participants showed a high level of satisfaction with the material, understanding of digital literacy, and readiness to implement the training results. This activity not only strengthens teachers' competency in integrating technology into learning but also encourages the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (IKU) and the spirit of Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) through collaboration between lecturers and students. It is hoped that this activity can be implemented sustainably, and the training model implemented has the potential to be replicated in other schools to support improving the quality of digital literacy-based education.

Abstract

This research investigates the systematic development and implementation of coaching-based learning techniques aimed at addressing common language errors among elementary students. Utilizing a Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model framework, this study demonstrates how coaching approaches can transform traditional error correction practices into student-centered learning opportunities. The research findings reveal significant reductions in grammatical, lexical, and phonological errors among participating students, with notable improvements in confidence and self-regulation skills. The coaching techniques developed through this structured process show particular effectiveness in fostering student autonomy and metacognitive awareness, enabling elementary learners to identify and address their own language errors more effectively than traditional correction methods. These findings contribute to the growing body of evidence supporting coaching-based pedagogies in elementary language education.

Abstract

This flyer media will be used in teaching language error analysis to identify errors in flyers as a promotion that is still relied upon today. Language error analysis is used by language teachers to collect error samples, identify errors in the samples, explain the errors, classify errors, and evaluate the level of seriousness of the errors. The purpose of this study is to find out how to conduct language error analysis and what language should actually be used in flyer media during promotions. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted on seventh-semester students of the PBSI Study Program at UMN Al Washliyah. The population in this study was all seventh-semester PBSI students, totaling 18 people. The sampling technique used in this study was a non-probability sampling technique. The outputs of this research are Accredited National Journal Publications, National Proceedings of Research Results of LP2M UMN Al-Washliyah, and Monograph Books. The follow-up of this research creates a comprehensive workflow from research results to real implementation and continuous improvement. Through collaboration between universities and research partners, this research has the potential to create positive and sustainable changes in various aspects of community life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode Role Playing pada materi rantai makanan. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). sampel penelitian ini dengan menggunakan kelas V-A sebanyak 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini observasi, wawancara dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai pra siklus menunjukan bahwa dari total 32 siswa, 7 siswa tuntas (25%) dan 25 siswa tidak tuntas (82%). Nilai siklus I hasil presentase guru 57% dan hasil presentase 39% dapat diketahui bahwa 12 siswa yang tuntas belajar dan 20 yang tidak tuntas belajar. Dan pada siklus II presentase aktivitas guru 81% dan hasil presentase siswa 84% pada proses siklus II menunjukan bahwa 75% (20 siswa) yang sudah mencapai KKTP yang telah di tentukan hal ini terlihat dari antusias siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini difokuskan pada motivasi belajar siswa kelas V dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di SD Negeri 060925 Medan Amplas. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Alat penelitian yang digunakan meliputi lembar observasi dan angket, sementara data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan paradigma PBL dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa secara signifikan. Pada tahap prasiklus, motivasi siswa berada pada kategori cukup (C) dengan nilai 57%. Pada siklus I, motivasi meningkat menjadi 73% dengan kategori tinggi (T), dan pada siklus II meningkat lagi menjadi 83% dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Data ini menunjukkan bahwa paradigma pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 060925 Medan Amplas pada tahun pelajaran 2023/2024.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP IT Daarul Istiqlal Marindal-I dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas guru dalam mendesain media pembelajaran melalui sosialisasi penggunaan aplikasi Canva. Metode pelaksanaan melibatkan ceramah, diskusi, dan pelatihan sederhana kepada 15 guru SMP IT tersebut. Hasil angket respon guru menunjukkan dampak positif yang signifikan. Efektivitas sosialisasi Canva dinilai positif oleh 86,7% guru, yang menyatakan bahwa sosialisasi membantu mereka memahami cara menggunakan Canva untuk mendesain media pembelajaran. Peningkatan kepercayaan diri guru terhadap penggunaan Canva terlihat signifikan, dengan sebagian besar guru (73,3%) merasa lebih percaya diri setelah pelatihan. Guru juga menyatakan bahwa Canva dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dalam mendesain media pembelajaran, dengan 93,3% guru yakin akan hal ini. Sebagian besar guru (73,3%) menyatakan niat untuk mengimplementasikan Canva dalam pembelajaran di masa depan. Meskipun mayoritas guru menunjukkan minat dan keinginan untuk mengimplementasikan Canva dalam pembelajaran, beberapa di antaranya masih merasa kurang percaya diri atau mungkin membutuhkan dukungan tambahan. Oleh karena itu, disarankan untuk memberikan pelatihan lanjutan dan dukungan teknis agar guru dapat mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan Canva secara efektif. Dengan demikian, sosialisasi Canva dapat dianggap berhasil dalam meningkatkan kreativitas guru dan berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di SMP IT Daarul Istiqlal Marindal-I.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the marginalization of regional languages, largely driven by the influence of social media, education, and entertainment, factors that have become major contributors to language shift. Medan, as a multicultural metropolitan city, faces similar challenges. The aim of this research is to prevent further shifts in regional language, literature, and script, which could significantly impact cultural preservation, as language is closely intertwined with culture. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing interviews and observations with several families in Medan. The findings reveal that the family holds a strategic position as the primary and most influential agent in the transmission of regional languages. The role of families in preserving regional languages among children in the modern era is crucial. By actively using the regional language, introducing local wisdom, and instilling cultural values, families can maintain children’s cultural identity and help preserve regional cultural heritage. The study in Medan shows that families or parents who actively use regional languages in daily communication and instill local cultural values make a significant contribution to the language’s continued existence. Conversely, when children are not exposed to their regional language and culture in everyday life, the language faces the risk of extinction. This research highlights the importance of family awareness and commitment to continuously use and teach regional languages as part of a cultural legacy that must be preserved and passed on to future generations.

Abstract

The use of Indonesian in teaching and learning interactions is a form of communication. Interactions carried out by students to lecturers can be in the form of conversations, dialogues, or questions about everything related to what students are feeling or complaining about. The speech acts used in discussions vary widely because they generally come from different regions. It is this impression that makes researchers interested in studying illocutionary speech acts in the lecture process. This study specifically aims to describe the use of illocutionary speech acts between students and lecturers of the Indonesian language and literature education study program at UMN Al Washliyah. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were students and lecturers in learning interactions in Indonesian language and literature education study program classes. The object of research is speech acts, especially illocutionary speech acts which are forms of student speech to lecturers. In this study, data collection was carried out using two methods, namely (1) the listening method and (2) the speaking method. The results of the study show that illocutionary speech acts between lecturers and students during the teaching and learning process take place in the form of declaration, representative, expressive, directive and commissive speech acts.
