Abstract

The rapid development of information technology demands adaptation not only from adolescents as digital natives, but also from parents as digital immigrants in fulfilling their parenting roles. This study aims to analyze the characteristics and patterns of digital behavior among parents of adolescent children. A quantitative approach with a descriptive method was employed, involving 400 parents in Karawang Regency selected through a survey technique. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics. The findings reveal that parental digital behavior falls within a varied category, with a predominant tendency toward functional technology use. The smartphone emerged as the most dominantly used digital device. The internet and social media are utilized not only for communication purposes, but also for information seeking, the enhancement of parenting literacy, and the support of self-directed learning. This study affirms the critical importance of strengthening digital literacy among parents so that technology utilization can effectively support the supervision of adolescents' digital behavior within the family environment in a wise, safe, and responsible manner.

Abstract

This study discusses the low learning interest of students caused by boredom during the learning process. The research aimed to determine the implementation of the card sort method, students’ learning interest, and the effect of the card sort method on the learning interest of upper-grade students in Islamic Religious Education and Character subjects at SDN 106 Inpres Takalar I. This study employed a quantitative ex post facto approach with a simple paradigm design. The population consisted of 84 upper-grade students (grades IV, V, and VI), and all were selected as the sample using saturated sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that the implementation of the card sort method had a positive effect on students’ learning interest. The statistical analysis indicated that tcount was greater than t_table (1.864 > 0.2146) with a significance level of 5%. The coefficient of determination showed that the card sort method contributed 41% to students’ learning interest, while the remaining 59% was influenced by other external factors. Therefore, the card sort method can be considered an effective and interactive learning strategy to improve students’ learning interest in Islamic Religious Education and Character subjects.

Abstract

Learning achievement is the result or change in learning outcomes obtained through a process that enables the emergence or change of behavior as a result of the formation of a primary response, provided that such changes or new behaviors are not caused by maturation or temporary conditions. This thesis aims to: (1) describe the implementation of the discussion method in the Aqidah Akhlak subject for students at MTs Muhammadiyah Likuboddong; (2) describe students’ learning achievement in the Aqidah subject at MTs Muhammadiyah Likuboddong; and (3) analyze the effect of the discussion method on students’ learning achievement in the Aqidah Akhlak subject at MTs Muhammadiyah Likuboddong. Quantitative research is a type of research in which the data are in the form of numbers or non-numerical data converted into numerical form (quantified qualitative data), which are then analyzed using specific statistical formulas and interpreted to test predetermined hypotheses. Based on the results of the normality test of the discussion method on students’ learning achievement at MTs Muhammadiyah Likuboddong, Sengka Village, Gowa Regency, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov significance value was 0.182 with a significance level of 0.05. The obtained significance value is greater than α (0.182 > 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the data on the effect of the discussion method on students’ learning achievement are normally distributed. From the SPSS output, in the coefficients table, the constant value (a) is 15.149 and the coefficient (b) is 1.318, resulting in the regression equation: Ŷ = a + bX or 15.149 + 1.318X. From the analysis results, the significance level (α) is 5% = 0.05. The calculated t-value (t_count) is 10.958, while the t-table value (t_table) is 8.851. This indicates that t_count > t_table (10.958 > 8.851). Thus, it shows that there is a positive effect of the discussion method on students’ learning achievement at MTs Muhammadiyah Likuboddong, Sengka Village, Gowa Regency.
