Abstract

This study involved 66 respondents to examine the relationship between nurses’ therapeutic communication and anxiety levels among preoperative patients at Mayapada Hospitals Tangerang. The respondents’ characteristics showed that the dominant age group was 31–65 years, with most respondents being female. In terms of educational background, the majority were senior high school graduates, and regarding occupation, most worked as private-sector employees. The results also indicated that respondents’ assessments of nurses’ therapeutic communication were mostly in the good category, while preoperative anxiety levels were generally mild. The chi-square analysis yielded a p-value of 0.023 (< 0.05); therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, indicating a significant relationship between nurses’ therapeutic communication and preoperative patients’ anxiety levels. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that nurses’ therapeutic communication plays an important role in influencing preoperative patients’ anxiety. This study is expected to be applied more specifically to preoperative patients to determine the effect of therapeutic communication in reducing patients’ anxiety levels.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mechanism of business actor liability for consumer losses caused by defective products and its conformity with Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. This research employs an empirical legal method with a qualitative approach, utilizing primary data obtained through interviews and secondary data derived from literature studies. The object of this study focuses on the handling of consumer complaints at PT. One Home Miss Life during the period of January 2025 to March 2026. The results indicate that the company has implemented a product replacement mechanism as the primary form of liability, with 65.7% of cases resolved through full unit replacement and 27.1% through spare part replacement. Normatively, this mechanism aligns with Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Law and the principle of strict liability, where the burden of proof is not imposed on consumers. However, in practice, several obstacles remain, including administrative requirements, suboptimal internal coordination, and limited replacement stock, which create a gap between legal provisions and their implementation. This study concludes that although the business actor’s liability generally complies with consumer protection principles, improvements in procedural aspects are still necessary to enhance effectiveness and legal certainty for consumers.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the perceptions of pre-service Science Education teachers regarding New Pedagogical Deep Learning (NPDL) in Indonesia. Employing a descriptive survey design, the research was conducted in Central Java Province and involved a sample of 88 pre-service Science Education teachers. Data collection was performed using a questionnaire consisting of 10 items, distributed through Google Forms, complemented by follow-up interviews. Quantitative data analysis with a descriptive approach was utilized to analyze the collected data. The study yielded three primary findings. First, Science Education pre-service teachers possess a basic understanding of the Deep Learning concept, although 16% of them exhibit misconceptions by equating Deep Learning solely with artificial intelligence (AI). Second, these pre-service teachers demonstrate interest in implementing Deep Learning in the classroom; however, they require further training to deepen their understanding of what Deep Learning entails and how to effectively apply it in science education at the school level. Third, pre-service teachers are ready to implement Deep Learning and require strong ecosystem support. They express a keen interest in applying Deep Learning in the classroom.
