Abstract

 Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan belajar praktik pengelasan terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMK Negeri 2 Kota Serang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMK Negeri 2 Kota Serang dengan menggunakan angket yang disebarkan di kelas 11 Teknik Pengelasan dengan jumlah siswa 51 orang dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin (10%). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji regresi linear sederhana, dan uji parsial. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah R2 0,495 (49,5%) dan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 yang berarti 0,000 0,05 maka Ha (Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara lingkungan belajar (X) terhadap hasil belajar (Y).Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh mengetahui lingkungan belajar praktik pengelasan terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMK Negeri 2 Kota Serang. Abstract

The implementation of the Teaching Factory in Vocational High Schools (SMK) specializing in Machining Engineering is crucial for bridging the gap between schools and industry; however, its application still faces various challenges. This study aims to identify the barriers to Teaching Factory implementation in SMK Machining Engineering programs. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a descriptive qualitative approach, analyzing six scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025, selected through the PRISMA protocol. The results indicate that the main barriers lie in managerial aspects (67%), workshop/laboratory facilities (50%), human resources (50%), learning patterns and promotion (33%), as well as products and industry collaboration (17%). Managerial barriers are the most dominant. In conclusion, the implementation of Teaching Factory in SMK Machining Engineering remains suboptimal and requires strengthened management, improved human resources, enhanced facilities, and stronger industry collaboration to support sustainable production-based learning. Therefore, it is recommended to establish a Teaching Factory management team, and develop a data-based evaluation system.

Abstract

Mesin CNC Spring Forming merupakan salah satu jenis mesin pembuat pegas yang paling umum digunakan dalam industri manufaktur. Mesin ini berfungsi untuk membentuk berbagai jenis material menjadi pegas, sehingga memerlukan perawatan secara berkala guna menjaga kinerja operasionalnya tetap optimal. Mengingat proses kerja mesin dapat mengalami kerusakan sewaktu-waktu, penerapan perawatan preventif menjadi langkah penting untuk meminimalkan potensi gangguan tersebut. Preventive maintenance atau perawatan yang dilakukan secara terencana bertujuan untuk mencegah terjadinya kerusakan yang tidak diinginkan serta mengidentifikasi sumber kerusakan sejak dini. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menerapkan kegiatan preventive maintenance berdasarkan acuan literatur yang diperoleh dari sumber daring. Kegiatan ini dibagi menjadi tiga jenis pelaksanaan, yaitu kegiatan harian, mingguan, dan triwulanan. Setelah dilakukan preventive maintenance pada mesin CNC Spring Forming, diketahui bahwa permasalahan pada komponen mesin dapat diatasi dengan baik sesuai dengan data yang telah di dapat.

Abstract

Mesin Cold Saw di PT. Krakatau Baja Konstruksi memiliki peran penting dalam proses pemotongan baja, namun sering mengalami gangguan yang menyebabkan downtime produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komponen yang sering mengalami kerusakan dan memberikan rekomendasi strategi perawatan preventif guna meningkatkan efisiensi operasional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi studi pustaka, observasi langsung, analisis catatan harian selama 40 hari kerja, dan pemetaan frekuensi kerusakan menggunakan Diagram Pareto. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan empat komponen utama, yaitu saw blade, translation, roll table exit, dan stopper, menyumbang 73,21% dari total kerusakan. Secara rinci, saw blade mengalami 21 insiden (37,50%), translation 10 insiden (17,86%), serta roll table exit dan stopper masing-masing 5 insiden (8,93%). Rekomendasi preventive maintenance meliputi penggantian terjadwal, pelumasan rutin, serta inspeksi dan kalibrasi berkala. Dengan penerapan strategi perawatan yang sistematis, frekuensi kerusakan dapat dikurangi sehingga downtime menurun, produktivitas meningkat, dan biaya operasional dapat ditekan.

Abstract

This study examined the effectiveness of STEAM pre-vocational learning in terms of the development of students’ psychomotor skills and affective attitudes. The study employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a project-based observation method among 23 fifth-grade students at an elementary school in Indonesia. The learning process was developed based on a Mini Solar Panel House project, which was an authentic pre-vocational learning task that integrated science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. The data were gathered using a validated process observation tool, which had content validity confirmed by Aiken’s V-value ( 0.75) and high internal consistency for both psychomotor (α = 0.87) and affective (α = 0.84) dimensions. The psychomotor dimension included four components: work safety, work preparation, work procedure, and presentation of results, while the affective dimension included responsibility, teamwork, communication, and discipline. The findings indicated that students demonstrated high performance in both dimensions with a mean score of 1.80 for psychomotor skills and 1.78 for affective attitudes on a 2.00-point scale. The highest achievements were obtained in work procedure (M = 1.90) and discipline (M = 1.93), while presentation skills (M = 1.70) and teamwork (M = 1.60) were relatively lower. The Pearson’s correlation analysis showed a strong positive correlation between the psychomotor and affective areas (r = 0.76, p 0.01), with the highest correlation between work procedure and discipline (r = 0.81). The findings of this study show that STEAM-based pre-vocational learning is an effective approach to support the integrated development of technical competencies and work-related attitudes, as measured by process-based assessment. This study adds to the existing literature on STEAM by providing empirical insights into the integration of psychomotor and affective areas in early pre-vocational settings. It has implications for the development of holistic and project-based learning models.

Abstract

The inclusion of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education in the elementary level has been seen as a crucial part in the development of 21st-century skills and prevocational developments of elementary students. This study aims to find out the effectiveness of a hands-on motion-to-electricity learning module in enhancing STEAM skills of 5th-grade elementary students using a one-shot quasi-experimental design. The participants consisted of 28 fifth-grade students from a primary school in the Banten province. To demonstrate the conversion of kinetic energy into electrical energy, the students built simple wheel generator sets using bicycle dynamos, wires, rotating wheels, and LED lights. Immediately after the activity, a 15-item validated evaluation form was employed to collect data, focusing on the principles of energy conversion, concepts of renewable energy, and simple engineering knowledge. Based on the statistical analysis, 82.1% of the students achieved beyond the required level of proficiency, scoring a mean of 67.25 and a standard deviation of 16.34. The findings of the observation conclusion revealed that the students exhibited a positive attitude towards technical subjects, were actively engaged in their learning process, and worked together to overcome problems. The findings of the study's conclusion indicate that interactive STEAM educational materials can be a valuable tool in increasing the interest of primary school students in technical subjects and their understanding of energy conversion concepts. This study supports the use of hands-on learning approaches in elementary STEAM education as a foundation for future prevocational and technical education.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and validate the quality of a multiple-choice instrument for measuring fifth-grade elementary students' understanding of kinetic-to-electrical energy conversion concepts within a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) framework. The research employed a Design and Development Research (DDR) approach with systematic instrument development procedures comprising: literature review and blueprint development, item construction, expert validation, field testing with 28 fifth-grade students, and comprehensive psychometric analysis. The instrument consists of 20 multiple-choice items covering three knowledge dimensions: conceptual (5 items), procedural (10 items), and applicative (5 items). Content validity was established through expert review by three science education specialists, yielding a Content Validity Index (CVI) of 0.87. Item analysis revealed difficulty indices ranging from 0.35 to 0.85 (predominantly moderate difficulty) and discrimination indices ranging from 0.30 to 0.75 (good to excellent discrimination). Reliability analysis using Cronbach's alpha produced a coefficient of 0.82, indicating high internal consistency suitable for elementary school assessment contexts. The instrument demonstrates satisfactory psychometric properties aligned with standards for elementary science assessment and effectively integrates STEAM pedagogical approaches.

Abstract

The Making Indonesia 4.0 program requires an educational system that fosters transdisciplinary, contextual, and practical learning to improve technical literacy and promote environmental sustainability. This study is aimed to assess the effectiveness of STEAM-based pre-vocational experiential learning in improving the cognitive abilities of primary school children. This study employed a quantitative, quasi-experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The study involved 27 fifth-grade primary school students selected through a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the average pre-test score for students was 54.70, and most of them fell into the medium range (51–75). After STEAM-based learning was put into place, the average score on the post-test went up to 72.66, and most students moved up to the high group (76–100). According to Hake's criteria (1999), the N-Gain analysis showed an average value of 0.40, which means it was moderate. The Paired Sample t-Test also showed a significance value of p = 5.75 × 10⁻⁷ (0.05), which means that the learning outcomes improved in a statistically significant way. Thus, it can be deduced that STEAM-oriented pre-vocational experiential learning is comparatively beneficial in augmenting students' cognitive abilities. This method positively influences learning outcomes descriptively and is empirically validated, rendering it pertinent for use as a contextual learning technique to enhance 21st-century capabilities in primary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji sistem pemeliharaan mesin conveyor modular di PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia II – Food Division Cikande dengan tujuan menjaga kelancaran produksi serta mengurangi risiko downtime. Conveyor modular merupakan komponen vital dalam proses pengangkutan bahan baku hingga produk akhir, terutama pada lini produksi sosis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi, dan wawancara selama pelaksanaan praktik industri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan menerapkan tiga jenis perawatan utama: preventif, korektif, dan darurat. Perawatan preventif dilakukan secara rutin untuk mencegah kerusakan, seperti pengecekan visual, pelumasan, dan penyetelan. Perawatan korektif dilakukan setelah kerusakan terjadi, sedangkan perawatan darurat ditujukan untuk kerusakan mendadak yang dapat menghentikan proses produksi. Strategi perawatan yang tepat dan terjadwal terbukti berpengaruh langsung terhadap efisiensi operasional, memperpanjang umur mesin, dan menjaga kualitas produk. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa sistem pemeliharaan yang baik merupakan faktor kunci dalam menjaga keberlanjutan dan daya saing industri makanan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) merancang dan menganalisis kinerja termal tungku peleburan krusibel berbahan bakar arang sebagai alat bantu pengajaran untuk sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMP); (2) mengevaluasi dinamika pembakaran, distribusi suhu, dan pengaruh variasi laju aliran massa terhadap efisiensi termal menggunakan simulasi CFD; dan (3) menjelaskan potensi pendidikan tungku sebagai platform praktis untuk memperkenalkan perpindahan panas, mekanika fluida, dan sistem energi berkelanjutan. Ini adalah studi penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D). Geometri tungku dimodelkan menggunakan Autodesk Inventor Professional 2022, dan kinerja termalnya disimulasikan menggunakan ANSYS Fluent 2021 R2. Keandalan model dipastikan melalui pengujian independensi mesh dan validasi elemen hingga, diikuti oleh validasi eksperimental untuk menilai kesesuaian dengan hasil numerik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kondisi pembakaran optimal terjadi pada laju aliran massa 0,001 kg/s, menghasilkan suhu puncak melebihi 1600°C, menunjukkan kesesuaian untuk peleburan logam non-ferrous. Pengukuran eksperimental mengkonfirmasi keselarasan yang kuat dengan keluaran simulasi, dengan penyimpangan yang tetap berada dalam batas toleransi yang dapat diterima, mendukung keandalan desain dan pendekatan numerik yang diusulkan untuk aplikasi pembelajaran kejuruan
