Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe how the students' mathematical creative thinking abilities in the two-dimensional figure area material are studied from the learning styles of students in junior high schools. The aspects that are wanted to be clarified, namely: students' mathematical creative thinking abilities are studied from visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. The research method used is descriptive method in the form of survey research. The subjects of the study were class VIII E students of SMP Negeri 02 Pontianak. Based on the results obtained indicate that the mathematical creative thinking ability of students with visual learning styles in class VIII of SMP Negeri 02 Pontianak, some students are able to achieve fluency and novelty indicators and others are only able to achieve fluency indicators, students' mathematical creative thinking ability with auditory learning styles in class VIII SMP Negeri 02 Pontianak able to achieve fluency and novelty indicators, and students' mathematical creative thinking ability with kinesthetic learning styles in class VIII SMP Negeri 02 Pontianak some students are able to reach fluency and novelty indicators and others are only able to reach fluency indicators.Keywords: Learning Styles, Mathematical Creative Thinking Abilities.

Abstract

AbstractThe research objective was to reveal the dectic gesture in the scientific approach to learning mathematics towards students' creative thinking and interest at the Cahaya Kemuliaan High School for the academic year 2019/2020. The form of research is Pedagogical Action Research (PTP). The research procedure consists of three stages, namely: preparation, implementation, and final. The results of the content and empirical validity obtained that the questionnaire instruments, pretest questions, and post-test questions were feasible to be used to conduct research. After conducting the research, it was concluded that deictic gesture in the scientific approach had an influence on interest, namely on indicators of feelings of pleasure, interest and attention. Abstract

AbstractThis research is background by the lack of integration between mathematical reasoningand students' critical thinking skills in mathematics. The facts obtained from interviewsshowed that the assignments were given to students still use the questions contained inthe books, so that students have not fully used their reasoning to think critically. A goodassignment should be a task designed with attention to student response patterns so thatepistemological obstacles that often arise can be overcome. This study aims to develop amathematical reasoning assignment design by providing a counter example (CE), withCE students can explore related assignments so that they can foster students' criticalthinking skills. This research was didactical design research which involved six studentsusing written tests and interviews. The results of the study revealed that the assignmentdesign with CE could reveal the presence of learning obstacle that hindered students'critical thinking skills and able to overcome the learning obstacle. The conclusion is thatstudents' critical thinking skills have developed after being given a mathematicalreasoning design through the provision of CE, this is shown by the post-test average score(62.56) which is higher than the pre-test average (15.03).Keywords: Task Design, Counter Example, Critical Thinking Skills, MathematicalReasoning

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to develop a higher order thinking test instrument and explain the higher order thinking skill of students at class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak. This research is in the form of research and development with the type of research is the instruments development. The higher order thinking test is developed through the define stage, that is front-end analysis, learner analysis, material analysis, compiling test specifications; the design stage, that is composing the pointers item, writing item, reproduction of limited tests; the development stage, that is one to one, qualitative analysis, conducting test run, quantitative analysis, revision, assembling test; disseminate stage, that is mass production. Based on the results of the item analysis, it was found that the higher order thinking test instrument conform the precision indicators, so that it can be used to measure the higher order thinking skill. Based on the results of student answers analysis, it is found that the higher order thinking skill of students at class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak is on the medium criteria, both for indicators to analyze, evaluate, create, or as a totality. Keywords:  Instruments Development, Higher Order Thinking Test Instrument, Higher Order Thinking Skill

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dan menganalisis tentang Penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam pembelajaran  mate-matika  untuk  mengembangkan kemampuan penyelesaian   masalah   matematis   di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Singkawang Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Bentuk penelitian yang dipilih untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut adalah penelitian eksperimen, sebab  melihat pengaruh-pengaruh dari variabel bebas terhadap satu atau lebih variabel yang lain dalam kondisi yang terkontrol, dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Singkawang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari soal test untuk mengukur kemampuan penyelesaian masalah matematis siswa dalam materi Penerapan SPLDV Dalam Kehidupan Sehari-hari. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah: (1) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang diberi pembelajaran model PBL dan pembelajaran konvensional; (2) terdapat perbedaan kinerja penyelesaian masalah matematis antara siswa tingkat kemampuan atas, menengah, dan bawah yang memperoleh pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan PBL; (3) terdapat interaksi antara penyelesaian masalah matematis dan tingkat kemampuan siswa setelah diberi pembelajaran matematika dengan model PBL   Kata Kunci: PBL, Kemampuan Penyelesaian Masalah Matematis.   Abstract: Learning (PBL) in learning matemtika to develop mathematical problem solving ability in class VIII SMP Negeri 8 Singkawang in academic year 2014/2015. Research is a form of experiment, because of the impact of the independent variables on one or more of the other variables in controlled conditions, with a sample of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Singkawang. The instrument used to collect data in this study consisted of test questions to measure students' mathematical problem solving capabilities   in  materials   Application   Systems  of  Linear  Equations  Two  Variables  In Everyday Life. The  results  obtained  are:  (1)  ther e are significant   differences  between students by PBL model learning and conventional learning; (2) there are differences in performance  between students' mathematical problem solving ability level upper, middle, and lower the gain of mathematics learning with PBL approach; (3) there is interaction between mathematical problem solving and skill levels of students after learning of mathematics with the model given PBL.   Keywords: PBL, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability.

Abstract

AbstractThe students’ mastery of SMPN 05 Pontianak in Pythagorean material has many obstacles. This study aims to explain the process of handling obstacles with the approach of Quantum Teaching Structured Contextual Mathematics which in the process of handling will involve students in meaningful learning experiences. The research method is a Qualitative Descriptive research method with a Pedagogic approach. The subjects were 6 students who had the most obstacles in Pythagorean material. The data collection tool used was a test (pretest and posttest) and interview. Based on the results of the analysis of the research found obstacles students in Pythagorean material. The obstacle is understanding in applying and understanding the meaning of the Pythagorean concept. Then the handling is given according to the obstacles found, namely the Quantum Teaching Approach that has the characteristic "TANDUR“. A series of handling processes that are given namely by creating learning experiences that are linked in the lives of students can handle obstacles and help them find meaning from the concepts learned so that students' mastery in Pythagorean's material improves. Abstract

Abstract This research aims to describe how conceptual understanding is assessed from students' learning styles in class VIII flat building materials at SMPN 20 Pontianak. The research method is descriptive with a survey. The research subjects were nine students of class VIIIA consisting of three students with a visual learning style, three students with an auditory learning style, and three students with a kinesthetic learning style. These results indicate that students who have a visual learning style tend to have moderate conceptual understanding, only research that restates the concepts that have been studied classifies objects based on mathematical concepts and presents concepts in various representations achieved, for students who have auditory learning tend to have an understanding. Low conceptual is only an indicator that is known to be a concept that has been studied, classifies objects based on mathematical concepts, and presents the concept in various fulfilled representations, whereas Students who have a kinesthetic learning style tend to have high conceptual understanding, only indicators of restatement of concepts that have been studied, classifying objects based on mathematical concepts, presenting concepts in various representations and relating internal or externally fulfilled mathematical concepts. Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to exploit the creative potential of students in numeric assignments assessed from the self-confidence a students. This type of research was descriptive research. The subjects in this study involved 9 junior high school students. The object of this research was the potential for creative thinking of students in material assignments that are reviewed from self-confidence. The data aids used were  creativity tests, questionnaires, and interviews. An analytic framework to expose the potential for creative thinking using “The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT)”. While the data analysis technique used qualitative data analysis by Miles and Huberman method. The test results obtained are from 9 students, there were 4 students who are in high self-confidence who have the ability to think mathematically creative "very good", "good" and "sufficient", 4 students were in self-confidence who have the ability to think mathematically creative "very good "," Good "and" enough ", and the remaining 1 student was in low self-confidence who has" less "mathematical creative thinking skills. Keywords: Creative Thinking, Number, Self Confidence

Abstract

AbstractThis research intends to develop an exhibition-based learning task design in three-dimensional learning. The learning process uses a scientific approach to improve students' mathematical representation abilities. This reseach uses R&D methods with ADDIE models. The subjects of the research were students in SMA Negeri 1 Sekayam and SMA Negeri 2 Sekayam. The data collection instruments consisted of a validation questionnaire of the exhibition-based learning task design, observation sheets of student learning activities, and test of mathematical representation ability. The results showed that, (1) the exhibition-based learning task design in three-dimensional learning is valid and feasible to use. (2) The learning process occur effectively, based on results of the observation sheet analysis of student learning activities, which shows 7 out of 9 aspects of the activity has been "Good". (3) Students' mathematical representation abilities generally become "Good" after participating in the learning process. Based on the analysis of student learning outcomes that show the average value is 74.69 and 76.67% of students were able to exceed the KKM score limit. The conclusion of this research is the final product of the exhibition-based learning task design in three-dimensional learning developed is valid and feasible to use in three-dimensional learning in the school.Keywords: Exhibition-Based Learning Task Design, Three Dimensional Learning, Learning activity, and Mathematical Representation Abilit

Abstract

AbstractThe development of information technology has an impact on human lifestyles in various fields. Practical learning without having to be complicated, can be done without space and time restrictions whenever and wherever, become the needs of students in the current digital era. Inevitably the teacher must answer the challenges of this era by innovating to develop or create creative learning media in accordance with the wants and needs of students. The purpose of this research is to produce product in the form of google classroom content whose design and development is theoretically feasible (based on expert validation), and is suitable for use in learning trigonometric material. This research is a research and development (R&D) study using the ADDIE model.The results of this study are the first Google classroom content meets the standards of eligibility and practicality based on the results of expert validator validation. After participating in learning by using the product of the development, students of SMK Negeri 4 Pontianak experienced an increase in the average ability of creative thinking and an increase in the average mathematical disposition.Keywords: google classroom content, mathematical disposition, mathematical creative thinking
