Abstract

Instruktur industri mengambil peran penting dalam pengembangan kapasitas karyawan di industri. Beberapa perusahaan mencoba menerapkan pelatihan jarak jauh bagi karyawannya menggunakan LMS. Meskipun, hal ini tidak mudah dilakukan oleh para instruktur, dengan fitur LMS yang beragam. Sehingga, perlu dikaji secara mendalam bagaimana persepsi instruktur industri terhadap pelatihan jarak jauh menggunakan LMS sebagai masukan untuk memperbaiki pelaksanaan pelatihan jarak jauh di perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali pengalaman instruktur industri dalam pelatihan jarak jauh menggunakan LMS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 16 orang instruktur perusahaan otomotif terkemuka di Indonesia. Kami menggunakan kuesioner terbuka untuk memperoleh data penelitian. Peneliti memperhatikan kriteria trustworthiness dan authenticity untuk mencapai kualitas hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LMS dapat digunakan untuk membantu dalam pelaksanaan training; monitoring perkembangan peserta training; memfasilitasi peserta untuk belajar mandiri; fleksibel; efektif; efisien; dan materi dapat dirancang secara sistematis. Selain itu, pengemasan materi yang mudah dipahami; kemudahan dalam menggunakan fitur pada LMS; informasi yang uptodate; tampilan yang interaktif; dan file materi yang mudah diunduh juga perlu diperhatikan untuk memaksimalkan performa LMS. Bagi instruktur, kendala yang dihadapi dalam menggunakan LMS pada saat taining adalah peserta training pasif; akses LMS tergantung dengan sinyal internet; dan sulitnya mengatur jadwal training.

Abstract

Pengembangan LMS berupa platform yang dapat dipergunakan untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran secara blended learning (offline ataupun online). LMS yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dari mitra industri (PT. SGMW Sales Indonesia) untuk mengembangkan Regional Training Center di Indonesia. LMS yang dikembangkan bertujuan untuk menyediakan platform pembelajaran yang dapat dipergunakan oleh PT. SGMW Sales Indonesia untuk melakukan kegiatan training bagi para karyawan yang meliputi teknisi, custome care officer, dan juga service advisor.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the topics and types/methods of research in the thesis of students of the Automotive Engineering Education study program, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. This research is descriptive research. The types/methods were descriptive models, Action Research, Ex Post-Facto, Research and Development, Evaluation, and Experimental Research (100, 69, 50, 35, 30, and 23 studies respectively). The study was conducted by analyzing 320 student thesis articles published from 2014 to 2018 in the Yogyakarta State University student e-journal. The results showed that the student's thesis topics consisted of 5 research topics, namely: education (139 topics), learning (120 topics), media development (43 topics), university issues (9 topics), and automotive engineering topics (9 pieces). Based on the results of the research, the types/research methods used were categorized into six methods, namely descriptive models (100 studies), classroom action research (69 studies), ex-post-facto (50 studies), research and development (48 studies), evaluation (30 studies), research and experimental (23 studies).

Abstract

Kompetensi yang perlu dikuasai oleh setiap karyawan harus menyesuaikan dengan bidang pekerjaan yang ditekuni. Pada industri after sales kendaraan roda 2, kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap karyawan tidak hanya fokus pada kompetensi teknis saja, akan tetapi kompetensi manajerial juga penting dikuasai oleh setiap karyawan yang bekerja pada industri tersebut. Sehingga, Program Studi yang menghasilkan calon pekerja pada bidang industri after sales kendaraan roda 2 harus menyiapkan lulusannya untuk memiliki kompetensi teknis dan kompetensi manajerial. Berdasarkan KKNI lulusan S1/D4 setara pada level 6 yang nantinya akan bekerja pada bidang manajerial. Sayangnya, penyiapan lulusan masih terfokus pada penyiapan kompetensi teknis saja sedangkan kompetensi manajerial masih dikesampingkan. Sehingga ketika lulusan masuk ke dalam dunia kerja kompetensi manajerial yang dimiliki masih tergolong rendah. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kompetensi manajerial yang dibutuhkan oleh Manajer, Kepala Bengkel, Service Advisor, dan calon pekerja di industri After Sales Kendaraan Roda2. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data diambil melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui analisis tematik selanjutnya disajikan dalam bentuk deskripsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: kompetensi manajerial bagi manajer antara lain: kemampuan komunikasi, menguasai perkembangan teknologi otomotif, adaptif, berkarakter, berjiwa kepemimpinan; sedangkan kompetensi manajerial bagi kepala bengkel antara lain: menguasai digital marketing, mampu mengelola sumber daya manusia, problem solving; selanjutnya untuk kompetensi manajerial bagi service advisor antara lain: kemampuan komunikasi, manajemen pelanggan, menguasai trouble shooting kendaraan; kompetensi manajerial bagi calon pekerja antara lain: menguasai sales dan marketing, manajemen bengkel, kemampuan komunikasi, dan pengusaan kompetensi teknis otomotif.

Abstract

The target partners in this international collaboration community service program are Fatoni University students in Thailand. The majority of students are of Malay descent. Based on the communication that has been established between Fatoni University and Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, it is known that Fatoni University students need photography and video editing training to improve their competence, especially in supporting tourism. Therefore, this international collaboration community service program was organizing an online photography and video editing training which involved 42 students from Fatoni University as participants and 20 students from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta as peer students. Apart from introducing photography and video editing techniques, this program also introduces various cultures in Indonesia. What's more, the students participating in this program also interacted with each other so that they could add to their international exposure. Interaction between students is carried out through break-out rooms, which allow fellow participants and companions to communicate with each other and gain international experience. After participating in this training activity, participants from Fatoni University produced a photograph taken independently and were assessed by the community service implementing team. The result showed that the participants were satisfied with the program and obtained knowledge and skills in photography.

Abstract

Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) are essential in vocational and engineering education; however, empirical evidence explaining how communication and student engagement jointly shape the development of HOTS remains limited, particularly in automotive contexts. This study aims to examine the partial and simultaneous influence of communication and student engagement on students’ HOTS, including problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. An ex post facto quantitative correlational design was employed, involving 208 undergraduate and diploma students from the Automotive Engineering Education and Vocational programs at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Data were collected using validated questionnaires, and multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to determine both independent and combined effects of the predictor variables. The findings reveal that communication and student engagement each exert a positive and significant influence on HOTS, while their simultaneous contribution explains 71.9% of the variance in students’ HOTS scores. These results indicate that students who actively communicate, participate, and engage cognitively, behaviorally, emotionally, and agentically demonstrate stronger analytical, reflective, and creative thinking abilities. The study confirms that communication and engagement are not merely supporting attributes, but key drivers of advanced cognitive development in automotive vocational education. Implications highlight the importance of designing interactive and collaborative learning environments that foster participation and meaningful academic involvement to prepare students for increasingly complex professional challenges.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesiapan guru yang mengajar di jurusan Teknik Otomotif SMK Muhammadiyah Piyungan pada tahap perencanaan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan angket dan wawancara. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian kesiapan guru Teknik Otomotif dalam tahap perencanaan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar yaitu guru yang mengajar pada jurusan Teknik Otomotif dengan jumlah 19 guru. Validasi instrumen dilakukan oleh ahli (expert judgment) dan reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach dengan pengujian menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS 26.0 memperoleh hasil nilai r = 0,969. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesiapan guru Teknik Otomotif dalam tahap perencanaan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, (58%) guru dikategori kurang siap dalam aspek pemahaman dan pengetahuan karakteristik Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, (53%) guru dikategori siap pada Capaian Pembelajaran, (58%) guru dikategori kurang siap pada Pembelajaran dan Asesmen, (74%) guru dikategori kurang siap pada Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, (47%) guru dikategori kurang siap pada Perangkat Ajar, dan (74%) guru dikategori kurang siap pada Kurikulum Operasional Satuan Pendidikan yang mengacu Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, secara keseluruhan (53%) guru dikategori kurang siap pada perencanaan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Kata Kunci: Kurikulum, Merdeka belajar, Tahap Perencanaan, SMK Muhammadiyah Piyungan, Implementasi Abstract This study aims to determine the level of readiness of teachers teach in the Automotive Engineering department of Muhammadiyah Piyungan Vocational School at the planning stage of implementing the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. This study uses descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods using data collection techniques by questionnaire and interviews. The subjects total of 19 teachers. Instrument validation was carried out by (expert judgment) and instrument reliability used the Alpha Cronbach formula with testing using the SPSS 26.0 software to obtain a value of r = 0.969. The results showed that the level of readiness of Automotive Engineering teachers in the planning stage of implementing the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum, (58%) teachers were categorized as less prepared in terms of understanding and knowledge of the characteristics of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum, (53%) teachers were categorized as ready for Learning Outcomes, (58%) teachers were categorized as unprepared for Learning and Assessment, (74%) teachers were categorized as unprepared for Profil Pelajar Pancasila, (47%) teachers were categorized as unprepared for Teaching Devices, and (74%) teachers were categorized as unprepared for the Education Unit Operational Curriculum, overall (53%) teachers are in the category of less prepared for planning the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mengetahui kesiapan kerja apprentice group 27 PT. XYZ ditinjau dari motivasi, (2) mengetahui kesiapan kerja apprentice group 27 PT. XYZ ditinjau dari kompetensi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei sensus dengan subjek penelitian adalah seluruh apprentice group 27 PT. XYZ yang berjumlah 94 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode angket yang dikembangkan dari kisi-kisi instrumen dan dengan metode pengumpulan dokumentasi skill matrix apprentice. Validitas instrumen dilakukan dengan expert judgement dan menggunakan Corrected Item-Total Correlation pada Reliability Analysis program SPSS. Reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan Cronbach’s Alpha pada Reliability Analysis program SPSS. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dengan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kesiapan kerja apprentice group 27 PT. XYZ ditinjau dari motivasi termasuk dalam kategori sangat siap (87,33%) dengan rincian motivasi internal kategori sangat siap (88,51%) dan motivasi eksternal kategori sangat siap (85,83%) menunjukkan bahwa apprentice memiliki motivasi yang tinggi untuk bekerja sebagai teknisi alat berat, (2) kesiapan kerja apprentice group 27 PT. XYZ ditinjau dari kompetensi termasuk dalam kategori sangat siap (97,93%) yang menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar apprentice telah memiliki kompetensi yang dibutuhkan sebagai teknisi alat berat. Perlu dilakukan kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan penelitian lebih lanjut terhadap variabel lain yang mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja, selain motivasi dan kompetensi. Kata kunci: kesiapan kerja; apprentice; motivasi; kompetensi Abstract The aims of this study were: (1) to determine the work readiness of the apprentice group 27 PT. XYZ in terms of motivation, (2) knowing the work readiness of the apprentice group 27 PT. XYZ in terms of competence. This research is a census survey research with the research subjects being all apprentice groups 27 PT. XYZ which amounted to 94 people. Data were collected using a questionnaire method which was developed from instrument grids and by the skill matrix apprentice documentation collection method. The validity of the instrument was carried out by expert judgment and using the Corrected Item-Total Correlation in the Reliability Analysis using SPSS program. Instrument reliability uses Cronbach's Alpha in the Reliability Analysis using SPSS program. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistical techniques with percentages. The results of the research show that: (1) the work readiness of the apprentice group 27 PT. XYZ in terms of motivation is included in the very ready category (87.33%) with details of internal motivation in the very ready category (88.51%) and external motivation in the very ready category (85.83%) indicating that apprentices have high motivation to work as heavy equipment technicians, (2) work readiness apprentice group 27 PT. XYZ in terms of competence is included in the very ready category (97.93%) which shows that most of the apprentices already have the competencies needed as heavy equipment technicians. It is necessary to carry out activities that can increase motivation and further research on other variables that affect work readiness, besides motivation and competence. Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine the level of effectiveness of the PC-135F Excavator production process in the Medium Size Division of the Assembling Plant of PT. ZX due to delays in completing the product. Manufacturing Cycle Effectiveness (MCE) is a method used to determine the level of effectiveness in the production process. Activity analysis is used to determine cycle time which consists of: processing time, inspection time, transfer time, and waiting/storage time. The research results show that in current conditions the effectiveness value of the PC-135F Excavator production line is 45%. This shows that the production process is still below the ideal figure, namely 100%. After identifying the root of the problem, potential solutions were obtained to minimize delays in the production process of the PC-135F Excavator unit, namely (1) Planning a multi-supplier system for raw material components (2) Planning a safety stock system for raw material components, Manufacturing Cycle Effectiveness (MCE) values increased to 75%. So it can be said that efforts to improve the production line have an impact on increasing the Cycle Effectiveness value. ZX dikarenakan terjadi keterlambatan dalam menyelesaikan produk. Manufacturing Cycle Effectiveness (MCE) adalah metode yang digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat efektivitas pada proses produksi. analisis aktivitas digunakan untuk menentukan Cycle time yang terdiri dari : waktu pemrosesan, waktu inspeksi, waktu pemindahan, dan waktu tunggu/penyimpanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi sekarang ini nilai efektivitas pada lini produksi Excavator PC-135F yaitu sebesar 45%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pada proses produksi tersebut masih di bawah angka idealnya yaitu 100%. Setelah dilakukan identifikasi akar masalah diperoleh potensi solusi dalam meminimalisir keterlambatan pada proses produksi unit Excavator PC-135F yaitu (1) Perencanaan sistem multi supplier komponen bahan baku (2)Perencanaan sistem safety stock komponen bahan baku, nilai Manufacturing Cycle Effectiveness (MCE) meningkat menjadi 75%. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwasanya upaya perbaikan lini produksi memberikan dampak terhadap peningkatan nilai Cycle Effectiveness. Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine whether the school environment, interest in learning, and family socio-economics influence partially or simultaneously the learning outcomes of students majoring in Motorcycle Engineering at SMKS Tamansiswa Jetis Yogyakarta for the 2023/2024 academic year. Quantitative research methods are used with an ex-post facto type of research. This study's population was 100 students, and the data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique in this research uses 1) descriptive analysis, 2) simple regression analysis, and 3) multiple regression analysis. The research results show that: 1) The school environment influences learning outcomes with a relationship or correlation of 0.283; 2) Students' learning interest has an influence on learning outcomes with a relationship or correlation of 0.320; 3) Family socio-economics has an influence on learning outcomes with a relationship or correlation of 0.438; 4) The school environment, interest in learning, and family socio-economics simultaneously have an influence on student learning outcomes in the Motorcycle Engineering Department of SMKS Tamansiswa Jetis Yogyakarta, having a relationship or correlation of 0.444, and the contribution is 19.7%. Keywords: School Environment; Interest in Learning; Family Socio-Economics; Learning Outcomes Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lingkungan sekolah, minat belajar, dan sosial ekonomi keluarga mempengaruhi secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap hasil belajar siswa Jurusan Teknik Sepeda Motor di SMKS Tamansiswa Jetis Yogyakarta tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Metode penelitian kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan jenis penelitian ex-post facto. Pada penelitian ini populasi berjumlah 100 siswa dan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan 1) analisis deskriptif, 2) analisis regresi sederhana, dan 3) analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Lingkungan sekolah memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar dengan hubungan atau korelasinya sebesar 0,283; 2) Minat belajar siswa memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar dengan hubungan atau korelasinya sebesar 0,320; 3) Sosial ekonomi keluarga memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar dengan hubungan atau korelasinya sebesar 0,438; 4) Lingkungan sekolah, minat belajar, dan sosial ekonomi keluarga secara simultan memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa Jurusan Teknik Sepeda Motor SMKS Tamansiswa Jetis Yogyakarta mempunyai hubungan atau korelasi sebesar 0,444, dan kontribusinya sebesar 19,7%.
