Abstract

This study was motivated by the low mathematical problem-solving ability of junior high school students, particularly in the topic of plane geometry. One contributing factor is student’s limited capacity to represent problems visually. The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of including pictorial illustrations in plane geometry problems on student’s mathematical problem-solving ability. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The population consisted of 344 ninth-grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja, with the sample determined through cluster random sampling. Two classes were selected, namely class IX Cempaka (Group A) with 37 students and class IX Melati (Group B) with 34 students. Group A was given plane geometry problems with illustrations, while Group B received similar problems without illustrations. The main instrument used was an essay test, supported by a questionnaire as an additional instrument. The results showed that the average posttest score of Group A was 43.73, while Group B obtained 29.71. The independent samples t-test at a significance level of 0.05 produced a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference in problem-solving ability between the two groups. Furthermore, the effect size calculated using Cohen’s d was 1.99, categorized as a very high effect. This finding demonstrates that the inclusion of pictorial illustrations exerts a strong and meaningful influence on student’s mathematical problem-solving ability. It can be concluded that the absence of illustrations in plane geometry problems increases the level of difficulty students experience in solving them.

Abstract

Proof of the type of problem not accompanied by image visualization will require a longer flow and process than proof of the kind of problem accompanied by image visualization. The ability of students to prove problems, especially problems not accompanied by image visualization, must be adequately expressed and objectively. For that, we need an instrument that can reveal the ability to prove the case of these problems. This research has successfully designed a scoring rubric that can be explicitly used to measure students' proving abilities on problems not accompanied by image visualization. Aspects developed in the scoring rubric include making image visualizations according to the information in the questions. These include sub-aspects of image accuracy and completeness of labels, initial steps of proving, preparation of conjectures, flow of proving, and support for valid arguments for statements made. Based on the validation from the experts, the scoring rubric developed was declared valid and ready to be used to measure the student's proving ability on plane geometry, proving problems not accompanied by image visualization.

Abstract

The research in this thesis is motivated by the many teacher competencies that have not been achieved in accordance with the National Education System Law No. 20 of 2003 Article 39 Paragraph 2. And also the parenting style of parents who tend not to support children's education because they have to help parents because of work and economic demands. The type of research used by this research is quantitative research with an "ex-post facto" approach. Data collection is carried out by questionnaire instrument. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study used multiple regression. The results showed (1) There is a significant influence between parenting style on student achievement at SMA Negeri Satu Atap Lembongan as shown from tcalculate > ttable (3,840 > 1.972), the significance value of t for the parenting variable is 0.000 and the value is smaller than the probability of 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) (2) There is a significant influence between teacher pedagogic competence on student achievement at SMA Negeri Satu Atap Lembongan Shown from tcount > ttable (2.920 > 1.972). The significance value of t for the teacher's pedagogic competency variable is 0.004 and the value is smaller than the probability of 0.05 (0.004 < 0.05). (3) There is a significant influence between achievement motivation on student achievement at SMA Negeri Satu Atap Lembongan as shown from the ttable > (2,314 > 1,972). The significance value of t for the motivational variable is 0.021 and the value is smaller than the probability of 0.05 (0.021 < 0.05). (4) There is a significant influence between parenting, teacher pedagogic competence and achievement motivation on student achievement at SMA Negeri Satu Atap Lembongan as shown from Fhitung > Ftabel (11,975> 2.65). The significance value of the concurrent test (F test) is 0.000 and the value is smaller than the probability of 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji integrasi antara filsafat pendidikan dan teori pendidikan dalam pembelajaran matematika berbasis kontekstual, dengan fokus pada mahasiswa Program Studi PGSD semester 5-A di STKIP Yapis Dompu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes, angket, dan wawancara. Tes tulis dirancang untuk mengukur pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep-konsep mean, modus, dan median berbasis kontekstual yang diajarkan. Tes mencakup soal pilihan ganda dan uraian, dengan fokus pada kemampuan analisis, pemecahan masalah, dan penerapan konsep dalam situasi nyata, ngket ini dirancang untuk mengukur persepsi mahasiswa terhadap penerapan pembelajaran berbasis kontekstual. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan inferensial untuk menguji hubungan antara integrasi filsafat pendidikan dan teori pendidikan dengan hasil belajar matematika mahasiswa. Skala Likert 5 poin digunakan untuk menilai aspek seperti relevansi materi, keterlibatan aktif, dan manfaat pembelajaran terhadap pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan wawancara dilakukan pada dosen dan mahasiswa. Berdasarkan hasil tes, Rata-rata nilai tes hasil belajar matematika adalah 76, yang menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki pemahaman yang baik terhadap konsep-konsep matematika yang diajarkan. Sebagian besar mahasiswa memperoleh nilai baik (kategori 70-84), Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki persepsi yang positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika berbasis kontekstual. Rata-rata skor di atas 4 untuk semua aspek. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi filsafat pendidikan yang berfokus pada humanisme, serta teori pendidikan seperti konstruktivisme, berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar matematika mahasiswa. Simpulan penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan teori pendidikan yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai filsafat pendidikan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di tingkat perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Kinerja guru sangat berperan penting untuk mencapai kualitas pendidikan yang baik, kinerja guru dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya kepemimpinan instruksional yang merupakan salah satu komponen pendidikan yang paling berperan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. perubahan terjadi dalam perkembangan teknologi, hal ini pasti berdampak pada efektivitas para pendidik yang menyesuaikan dalam memanfaatkan literasi digital. Kecerdasan emosional merujuk pada kemampuan individu untuk secara efektif menggunakan emosi dalam mengenali diri sendiri dan situasi sekitar ketika berinteraksi. Kecerdasan Intelektual (IQ) merupakan Tingkat pemahaman logis seseorang, yang mencakup kapasitas mereka untuk berpikir, bernalar, menafsirkan, dan mengingat sesuatu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Kepemimpinan Intruksional, Literasi Digital, Kecerdasan Emosional dan Kecerdasan Intelektual terhadap kinerja guru SD di Kecamatan Kediri Tabanan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan dekstriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa Nilai t-hitung pada variabel Kepemimpinan Intruksional sebesar 0.936 > (t-tabel) 0.684 dengan nilai signifikansi 0.045 < 0.05. Nilai t-hitung pada variabel Literasi Digital sebesar 0.766 > (t-tabel) 0.684 dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05. Nilai t-hitung pada variabel Kecerdasan Emosional (EQ) sebesar 0.872 > (t-tabel) 0.684 dengan nilai signifikansi 0.38 < 0.05. Nilai t-hitung pada variabel Kecerdasan Intelektual (IQ) sebesar 0.921 > (t-tabel) 0.684 dengan nilai signifikansi 0.004 < 0.05. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa Kepemimpinan Intruksional, Literasi Digital, Kecerdasam Emosional dan Kecerdasan Intelektual berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja Guru di SD Kecamatan Kediri Tabanan

Abstract

This study aims to find out the results of evaluations separately and together on context, input, process, product and the constraints that occur in implementing the use of BOS funds at Harapan Christian Private High School Denpasar, during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a program evaluation research using the CIPP model. The population in this study were all residents of Harapan Christian Private High School Denpasar. Determination of the sample in this study using a purposive sampling technique, with a total sample of 39 people consisting of school principals, deputy principals, school treasurers, BOS treasurers, administration, teachers. Context, input, process and product data in this study were collected by questionnaire using a Likert scale of 1-5. The data analysis method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive analysis method. To determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the use of BOS funds, raw scores were transformed into Z scores and then into T-Scores and then verified into the Glickman Quadrant. Based on the research that has been done, the results show that: 1) the implementation of the use of BOS funds in terms of the context component is classified as ineffective, 2) the implementation of the use of BOS funds in terms of the input component is classified as ineffective, 3) the implementation of the use of BOS funds in terms of the process component classified as effective, 4) implementing the use of BOS funds in terms of product components classified as ineffective, 5) evaluation results on the implementation of the use of BOS funds in terms of the context, input, process and product components, the results are less effective (--+-).

Abstract

This study aims to obtain certainty of simultaneous data on the magnitude of the influence of the principal's leadership style, work climate, work motivation, and teacher work ethic, on the organizational commitment of elementary school teachers at Guus RA Kartini in Denpasar City. This type of research is "ex post facto. The population in this study were all elementary school teachers of the RA Kartini Cluster in Denpasar City, totaling 212 people. Sampling using the solvency formula and taken randomly as many as 140 respondents. Methods of data collection using questionnaires and document studies. The collected data were analyzed by multiple linear analyses with Partial Correlation Analysis. The results showed (1) there was a significant effect of Transformational Leadership Style on Elementary School Organizational Commitment with a correlation coefficient of 0.75% and an effective and relative contribution of 15.98% and 20.03%. (2) There was no significant effect of school climate on organizational commitment with a correlation coefficient of 0.11% and an effective and relative contribution of 08.66% and 10.86% (3). Work motivation has a significant effect on school organizational commitment with a correlation coefficient of 0.33 and an effective and relative contribution of 27.40% and 34.77%. (4) There is a significant effect of the teacher's work ethic on school organizational commitment with a correlation coefficient of 0.35% and an effective and relative contribution of 27.74 and 34.77%. (5) There is a significant simultaneous effect of the principal's Transformational Leadership, Work Climate, Work Motivation, and Work Ethics with a significance level of 0.00 (0.00 <0.05) and a practical contribution of 79.79% to school organizational commitment in the RA Kartini Cluster, West Denpasar District, Denpasar City Education Office.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of several variables, namely: (1) Human Values ​​lessons, (2) meditation, (3) mindfulness practices (4) calming bells together on the character building of Nanyang Zhi Hui High School students in Medan. The population in this study were 182 students of Nanyang Zhi Hui High School. Determination of the sample in this study using Inferential Statistics technique, which took a sample of SMA Nanyang Zhi Hui Medan. The data in this study were collected using a questionnaire component of the context of the Lesson of Human Values, meditation, mindfulness practices, calming bells and character. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant influence of human values ​​on the formation of student character with an effect of 25.06%, (2) there was a significant effect of meditation on the formation of student character with an effect of 2.63%, (3) there is a significant effect of mindfulness practice on the formation of student character with an effect of 14.71%, (4) there is a significant effect of the calming bell on the formation of student character with an effect of 6.01%, and (5) together, there is significant influence of human values, meditation, mindful practices, and calming bells on the formation of student character with an effect of 48.4%.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) find out how much the quality of education services contributes to students' decisions to continue their education to private high schools in the Buleleng sub-district, 2) find out how much the school's image contributes to students' decisions to continue their education to private high schools in the Buleleng sub-district, 3) find out how the large contribution of school culture to students' decisions to continue their education to private high schools in the Buleleng sub-district, 4) find out how much the contribution of education costs to students' decisions to continue their education to private high schools in the Buleleng sub-district, 5) find out how the quality of education services, school image, school culture contributes, and the cost of education on students' decisions to continue their education to private high schools in the Buleleng sub-district. In this regard, the study was designed as a quantitative study using a sample of 73 people from a population of 731 private high school students. Sampling members using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The independent variables in this study are the quality of education services, school image, school culture and education costs. While the dependent variable is the student's decision. Data was collected using the questionnaire method which was then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant contribution to the quality of education services to student decisions by 34.6%, (2) there was a significant contribution to school image to student decisions by -12.97%, (3) there was a significant contribution to culture schools to student decisions by 47,9%, (4) there is a significant contribution of education costs to student decisions by 30% and (5) there is a significant contribution simultaneously between the quality of education services, school image, school culture and education costs on student decision making by 81.2% and the remaining 18.8% is explained by other variables outside the research.

Abstract

Evaluative Studies of Project-Based Mathematical Learning: Reviewed from National Standard for Education Process in Indonesia. Objectives: To describe the effectiveness of the implementation of project-based learning in junior high school mathematics learning in terms of process standards. Methods: This study adopted the CIPP evaluation model with state junior high school mathematics teachers as respondents.The analysis technique refers to the calculation of the T score in consultation with the Glickman quadrant prototype. Findings: T score for each variable, namely CIPP (+ - + +) with a comparison for the Context variable: F+ (71.43%) and F- (28.57); Inputs: F+ (28.57%) and F- (71.43%); Process: F+ (71.43%) and F- (28.57%), Product: F+ (71.43%) and F- (28.57%) with quite effective category.
