Abstract

The importance of analyzing directive speech acts in preschool-aged children needs to be carried out to see how preschool-aged children act. At pre-school age, children experience rapid language development. Understanding the speech acts of pre-school children helps parents and educators support the language learning process effectively. The research was conducted at Timezone Lampung City Mall, this research data is directive speech acts of preschool children aged 5-6 years. The research subjects were children aged 5-6 years who played at Timezone Lampung City Mall. Based on the results, it can be seen that the forms of directive speech acts found in preschool children (5-6 years) at Timezone Lampung City Mall are in the form of requests, questions, commands, prohibitions and advice. There were no directive speech acts found in children's speech. The results of the research show that children's early speech repertoires are limited, transitional, and imperfectly language-like to a certain extent. Most of the linguistic forms acquired by children are expressions that lack the characteristics of syntactic combinations in adult language. The most dominant types of directive speech acts that often appear in the speech of preschool aged children are the types of directive speech acts of questions and commands. These two types of directive speech acts are the most prominent and are widely used by children to ask, order, and ask to remind.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the conversational context of 3 year old children in interpersonal communication in the family environment. The context of the conversation of the research subject is the conversation carried out by the subject with all members of his family, namely father, mother and grandmother. The type of research is descriptive qualitative research, the analysis was carried out on a 3 year old child named Haura who lives in Terbanggi Besar, Lampung. Based on the results, it can be seen how overall the dialogue can be answered well by the subject with very good responses in dialogue with family members. There are still pronunciation errors and the loss of some foems in conversations between subjects and family members. This pronunciation error is very normal because some consonants are difficult for 3 year old children to pronounce, this can be caused by environmental factors which may not teach sound pronunciation correctly and continuously. Therefore, in this dialogue, it can be said that the interpersonal conversation between the subject and the family members is in the good category because they can understand the question sentences asked by the family members well even though the pronunciation is unclear due to difficulty pronouncing phoneme sounds that are unfamiliar to hear and difficult to imitate.

Abstract

Poetry is a type of literary art that uses the elegance of language to convey emotions, ideas and experiences. Understanding the message buried in the poet's words makes poetry analysis important. In this article, examines poetry “Tiada” by Joko Pinurbo with a structural approach to uncover the deep meaning hidden in the form of poetry. The structural approach in analyzing poetry focuses on the structure of the poem which includes form, rhyme, rhythm, tone, and repetition. This study uses a qualitative descriptive methodology. The approach used is a structural approach. Data collection techniques using documentation studies. Puisi adalah jenis seni sastra yang menggunakan keanggunan bahasa untuk menyampaikan emosi, gagasan, dan pengalaman. Memahami pesan yang terkubur dalam kata-kata penyair membuat analisis puisi menjadi penting. Dalam artikel ini, mengkaji puisi “Tiada” karya Joko Pinurbo dengan pendekatan struktural untuk mengungkap makna mendalam yang tersembunyi dalam bentuk puisi. Pendekatan struktural dalam menganalisis puisi berfokus pada struktur puisi yang meliputi bentuk, rima, irama, nada, dan pengulangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan struktural. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumentasi.Keywords: poetry, structure of poetry, structural approach

Abstract

This mimetic approach assumes that poetry is a duplicate of the human world and a picture of the life of the universe. The extent to which poetry represents writers in the real world is explored alongside works of fiction or non-fiction and other works. Literature is dialectical, that is, it gives a journey back and forth to literary works and gives meaning in the end to the world of reality or imagination. The reality of an essential literary work will lose something when it is published, the disappointed participation in reading literature denies something that is no less important, namely for humans there are choices and shortcomings that exist.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penyiasatan struktur repetisi dalam antologi puisi berjudul Nuansa Kata dan Samudra karya Aom Karomani dengan pendekatan stilistika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan objek kajian buku antologi puisi Nuansa Kata dan Samudra. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membaca secara intensif dan menganalisis penyiasatan struktur repetisi dengan bentuk repetisi, paralelisme, anafora, serta polisindeton dan asindeton. Sumber data utama dalam penelitian ini adalah larik dan bait puisi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa antologi puisi berjudul Nuansa Kata dan Samudra sangat memanfaatkan penyiasatan struktur repetisi dengan bentuk repetisi berjumlah 16 data, anafora berjumlah 14 data, paralelisme berjumlah 11 data, polisindeton berjumlah 3, dan asindeton berjumlah 2 data. Repetisi dalam antologi puisi ini paling dominan, yaitu berfungsi memperkuat tema dan emosi, seperti pada puisi Kubur yang menekankan kematian. Anafora menambah ritme dan penekanan, misalnya dalam puisi Sumur yang menggambarkan pencarian makna hidup. Paralelisme menciptakan keseimbangan makna dan kedalaman, terlihat dalam puisi Bumi Yang Menua dan Corona. Polisindeton dan asindeton meski jarang digunakan, menambah variasi ritme dan efek dramatis, seperti dalam puisi Atas Nama Demokrasi. Dengan demikian, penyiasatan repetisi dalam puisi ini berhasil memperindah penggunaan bahasa, efektif menyampaikan pesan moral dan sosial yang kuat, serta menjadi gaya penulisan khas penyair.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran spiritualitas dalam membantu tokoh/narator menghadapi keterpurukan sebagaimana digambarkan dalam buku sastra motivasi Kala Musim Berganti karya Aulia Musla. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi (content analysis) yang bersifat interpretatif. Objek material penelitian adalah teks buku sastra motivasi Kala Musim Berganti karya Aulia Musla, sedangkan objek formalnya adalah elemen-elemen spiritual yang direpresentasikan dalam narasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi, dan analisis data dilakukan secara tematik melalui pembacaan mendalam, identifikasi kutipan, klasifikasi tema, dan penafsiran berbasis teori spiritualitas dan psikologi sastra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa narator menghadapi keterpurukan batin melalui tujuh elemen spiritual utama, yaitu: (1) kesadaran diri (mindfulness), (2) doa dan keyakinan kepada Tuhan, (3) rasa syukur (gratitude), (4) sabar (patience), (5) keikhlasan dan ridha, (6) peneladanan kisah nabi, serta (7) keyakinan akan rahmat dan ampunan Allah. Ketujuh elemen ini saling memperkuat dan berperan sebagai kekuatan transformatif dalam proses pemulihan batin, membentuk narator yang lebih tangguh, reflektif, dan penuh harapan.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of an animated video based on the Discovery Learning model to improve Indonesian language learning outcomes among third-grade students at UPTD SDN 2 Adijaya. The research employed the 4D development model, consisting of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. A total of 30 students participated in the study. The problem identified in the classroom was the students’ low understanding of the use of capital letters, which was attributed to the less engaging conventional teaching methods. To address this issue, a Discovery Learning-based animated video was developed as a learning medium. The product was validated by content, language, and media experts, who found it feasible for classroom use with several revisions to improve visual clarity and language accuracy. Trial results showed an improvement in student learning outcomes and engagement during the learning process. Therefore, the Discovery Learning-based animated video proved to be effective in supporting students’ understanding of Indonesian language material, particularly the correct use of capital letters, and serves as an innovative and engaging learning media alternative for third-grade primary school students

Abstract

This research discusses the role of technology in the representation of the true people in Nano Riantiarno's play "Demonstran". Using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach, this research aims to identify signs that represent the true people in the context of the play. Through digital media, elements such as stage settings, costumes, visual settings, music, background sounds, and sound effects are used to strengthen the representation of the people. This research explores how technology affects the way folk representations are understood and received by the audience. As such, it contributes to the understanding of the relationship between technology, semiotics and folk representation in the context of performing arts.

Abstract

Heroic values can be used as an example for humans reflected in the characters contained in folklore. Overall, the heroic value in the story has a strong appeal and provides many benefits for the reader or audience. This study aims to describe the heroic value contained in the folklore of The Golden Child of Radin Jambat by Yuliadi M.R. using media technology The data in this study are in the form of quotations or conversations obtained from the folklore of The Golden Child of Radin Jambat by Yuliadi M.R. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The results showed the existence of heroic values in the folklore of The Golden Child of Radin Jambat by Yuliadi M.R in the form of courage, loyalty, and self-sacrifice

Abstract

This study aims to describe the educational values of the character of Tere Liye's novel Si Anak Kuat and its implications as teaching materials for literary learning in high school. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source of this research is the novel Si Anak Kuat by Tere Liye. The data analysis technique used is the text content analysis technique. The results showed that the novel Si Anak Kuat by Tere Liye contained character education values which were analyzed based on the Ministry of Education and Culture's decree regarding the value of character education and Sigmund Freud's personality theory. The values of character education include five values, namely religious values, nationalism, independence, mutual cooperation, and integrity. The results of this study are implied into alternative teaching materials for learning literature in high school. The character education values found in this study can be used as a strengthening of character education in indirect learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter novel Si Anak Kuat karya Tere Liye dan implikasinya sebagai bahan ajar pada pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini ialah novel Si Anak Kuat karya Tere Liye. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis isi teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel Si Anak Kuat ini mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang dianalisis berdasarkan ketetapan Kemendikbud 2017 tentang nilai pendidikan karakter dan teori kepribadian Sigmund Freud. Nilai pendidikan karakter tersebut meliputi lima nilai,  yakni nilai religius, nasionalisme, kemandirian, gotong royong, dan integritas. Hasil penelitian ini diimplikasikan ke dalam alternatif bahan ajar pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai penguatan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran tidak langsung.Keywords: The value of character education, the novel Si Anak Kuat, implications.
