Abstract

Spatial visual intelligence is intelligence related to visual (vision) and the use of space and making models or images based on the results of observations made before. According to a survey found by researchers in March, 13 children had delayed spatial visual intelligence and 11 were able to recognize images but still needed stimulation. This study aims to determine the influence of animated video media on the development of spatial visual intelligence in children aged 4-5 years at Al Hidayah Bakung Kindergarten, Blitar Regency in 2023. This research uses a pre-experimental design of one group pre test post test design technique carried out at Al Hidayah Bakung Kindergarten, Blitar Regency. The study population of all students aged 4-5 years was 24 respondents. With the technique of sampling the total population. The independent variable of the study was animation media, while the dependent variable of spatial visual intelligence development was measured by the Stanford Binet test. The data were then analyzed by testing Wilcoxon's hypothesis with α = 0.05.The results of the development of spatial visual intelligence before the provision of animation media from 24 respondents, most of the 13 respondents in the category of children need to get more intensive stimulation and after being given animation media almost all of them, namely 22 respondents are categorized as intelligent children and can develop quite well. The results of the Wilcoxon test show ρ value = 0.000 ≤ α = 0.05 so that H1 is accepted. In conclusion, there is an influence on the development of spatial visual intelligence in children aged 4-5 years. So mothers are expected to be able to maximize the use of animation media as a facility to develop spatial visual intelligence in children aged 4-5 years. Animation media can be given every day for 15 – 20 minutes.

Abstract

Inclusive education aims to provide access to quality education for all children, including children with special needs. Implementation in Indonesia still faces various challenges, especially in the management of disability friendly facilities and infrastructure. This study aims to explore the management of inclusive education facilities and infrastructure. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation for five months (August–December 2024). School has provided inclusive education facilities, such as accessible classrooms, disability-friendly toilets, ramps, and Disability Service Units. However, there are still limitations in special learning aids. Management of facilities and infrastructure is carried out through annual planning, routine monitoring, and periodic evaluation, not yet supported by special experts in inclusive services. The main challenges faced are budget constraints and lack of professional human resources. This study emphasizes the importance of adaptive and planned management of facilities and infrastructure in creating an inclusive learning environment. School has implemented strategies by applying for assistance to the Education Office, collaborating with community organizations, and holding inclusive education training for teachers. These findings can be a reference for schools in improving the effectiveness of inclusive education facility management.

Abstract

This article examines scholarly views on the precision (ḍabṭ) of the Prophet's Companions in narrating hadiths by comparing early and contemporary hadith literature. The aim of this research is to reveal whether the quality of precision is truly guaranteed in the Prophet's Companions as is their integrity ('adālah), and to explain various arguments related to this matter. This research also attempts to address criticisms questioning the validity of Companions' narrations on the grounds that they are not ma'ṣūm (infallible); as ordinary humans with the potential for error and forgetfulness, and not all Companions having the same level of intelligence (ḍabṭ). This research is library-based with a qualitative method that conducts in-depth analysis of authoritative works in hadith literature, covering phases from early to contemporary. The research finds that Imam al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar al-'Asqalānī is among the scholars who explicitly state that all Companions possess the quality of ḍabṭ, placing the status of Companions at the highest position in the levels of al-ta'dīl (authentication). Meanwhile, the opinion initiated by Imam al-Ṣan'ānī and followed by several contemporary scholars states that the guarantee of Companions' integrity does not automatically guarantee their precision, with various arguments including the fact that some Companions had erred and forgotten when conveying hadiths. However, after conducting in-depth research on the texts of both opinions, the researcher concludes that the difference between the two groups of scholars is verbal in nature. The first group does not deny the possibility of forgetfulness and errors among the Companions, while the second group does not explicitly determine which individual Companions are considered to lack the quality of ḍabṭ. Both groups agree that errors that occurred among the Companions can still be tolerated and do not damage their overall precision.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are important for students, but not all students possess strong critical thinking abilities. This study aims to develop a STEM-EDP-based Student Worksheet media to improve students' critical thinking skills in the topics of Ecology and Biodiversity. This research uses the ADDIE development model, developed by Robert Reiser and Michael Molenda, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The developed media was validated by experts in content and media, with the media expert validation result being 91% and the content expert validation result being 94%, both categorized as highly valid. Practicality testing was obtained from practicality questionnaires filled out by both teachers and students. The student practicality questionnaire resulted in 90.5%, categorized as very practical, and the teacher practicality test resulted in 90%, also categorized as very practical. The effectiveness of critical thinking skills was assessed through pretest and posttest results, using the N-Gain test, which resulted in a score of 0.7, categorized as high. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of STEM-EDP-based Student Worksheets to improve students' critical thinking skills is effective and categorized as high.
