Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic to date has caused learning to be carried out remotely to prevent further transmission of the virus. The use of Google Classroom is a solution for learning fiqh lughah online at this critical time. So far, there are still few studies that examine student perceptions of online learning of fiqh lughah. Therefore, this study aims to investigate student perceptions of online learning of fiqh lughah using Google Classroom. This research is exploratory, investigative research with 33 students as the subject. All exploratory data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques by adopting several steps: tabulating the Microsoft Excel application data, adding a percentage score to the data, and presenting the analyzed data in a summary table. These findings reveal that distance learning using Google Classroom gets a positive response from students even though they have to adapt more intensely to be comfortable with the learning process. Therefore, learning fiqh lughah through Google Classroom should be considered as an alternative media for online learning.

Abstract

This research is aimed at examining the BIPA teaching book "Language Friendly Volume 1" published by Antasari Banjarmasin State Islamic University from several aspects: First, a review of the suitability of the material with the Graduate Competency Standards (SKL) stipulated in the Permendikbub from its accuracy and cultural content. Second, this research is aimed at examining the suitability of material for Arabic speakers, this refers to the fact that Arabs often dominate BIPA participants at UIN Antasari. This study uses a qualitative approach because the data are in the form of narratives or text. The method used by researchers is content analysis. The indicators used in analyzing the book's content were adopted from Muslich, and the rating interval was adopted from the scale developed by Nurgiyantoro. The results of this study revealed that the BIPA textbook "Language Friendly Volume 1" designed for the A1 level of need, was still "not appropriate" with a percentage of 50%. The drawback is that the author is inconsistent in presenting the material, narrative, dialogue, and Indonesian insights. There is also material content that is not yet time to be delivered at the A1 level. This BIPA textbook is considered not suitable for use by Arabic speakers or even other foreign speakers.

Abstract

This study explores the application of Deep Learning frameworks in Arabic language courses in higher education, focusing on four key dimensions: pedagogical practices, learning partnerships, learning environments, and digital utilization. Each framework serves as a critical pillar in addressing challenges and enhancing the effectiveness of Arabic language teaching, which is characterized by its linguistic and cultural complexities. The study highlights the need for innovative pedagogical approaches emphasizing conceptual understanding and practical application, collaborative partnerships among students, faculty, and communities, and supportive and inclusive learning environments. Moreover, integrating digital tools and resources is presented as a transformative strategy to create interactive and adaptive learning experiences. By examining these four frameworks, this article provides insights into designing a holistic, student-centered, and technologically enhanced learning process for Arabic language education. The findings underscore the importance of integrating these frameworks to produce graduates with comprehensive linguistic proficiency and critical thinking skills capable of engaging in global and multicultural contexts.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the emergence of the Covid-19 Virus, which has resulted in numerous changes in education, one of which is the usage of learning media. This study intends to expose the e-learning process as a model for teaching Arabic vocabulary, as well as the students' control over the Arabic vocabulary after learning through e-learning. The researcher used a quantitative strategy as well as a descriptive technique in his investigation. The participants in this study are eighth-grade students. Observation, personal interview, test, and questionnaire were utilized to collect data in this study. This study shows how e-learning was used in this school employing simultaneous e-learning, and the students were enthusiastic about teaching vocabulary using the internet.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to detect the impact of the use of Google Classroom on the results of learning students’ substantive reading skills at this school, and to analyse the supporting and inhibiting factors in its use. After the researcher's pretest and postest of the students, received the pretest with the largest results 65 and the smallest results 40 and the average 50.  And posttest got the biggest results 80 and the smallest results 55 and average 68 and  got N-gain 0,6 at the good grade level. The researcher analyzed the data by law (T-test) with the help of SPSS 21 obtained Sig value. (2-tailed) 0,000 below 0,05 the alternative hypothesis H_a accepted the original hypothesis H_0 rejected. The conclusion of this research is that the teaching process using Google Classroom for students in this school has a statistically significant effect on the results of learning the reading skill.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan perjalanan panjang suka dan duka yang dialami pendidikan Islam di Indonesia, mulai dari munculnya pondok pesantren, sekolah Islam, dan madrasah. Asal usul lembaga-lembaga tersebut pun tak luput dari pembahasan di dalamartikel ini sehingga dapat diketahui karakteristik masing-masing lembaga pendidikan Islam. Ketiga lembaga tersebut memiliki andil yang sangat besar dalam pengembangan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Kebijakan pemerintah pusat yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan juga memiliki pengaruh yang sangat besar dalam perkembangan ketiga lembaga tersebut. Penulis pun sekilas membahas beberapa contoh dari pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan Islam saat ini. Dalam rangka mewujudkan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang bermutu, berbagai lembaga tersebut harus tetap mempertahankan nilai-nilai khas yang dimiliki dengan tetap menyelenggarakan pendidikan Islam sesuai dengan acuan Standar Nasional Pendidikan yang menjadi pedoman utama pendidikan nasional.

Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة فعالية استخدام البطاقات المصوّرة في تنمية مهارة الكلام باستعمال الظروف وحروف الجر لدى تلاميذ الصف الرابع في مدرسة الإخلاص الإسلامية تشيبادو. تنبع أهمية البحث من حاجة المتعلمين إلى تنمية القدرة على التعبير الشفوي، باعتبارها مهارة أساسية للتواصل اللغوي، إذ يواجه كثير من التلاميذ ضعفًا في تكوين الجمل الصحيحة باستخدام الظروف والجار والمجرور. اعتمدت الباحثة المنهج شبه التجريبي بتصميم مجموعتين: تجريبية وضابطة، مع تطبيق الاختبارين القبلي والبعدي لقياس أثر التدريس. بلغت عينة البحث (٣٧) تلميذًا، منهم (١٩)في المجموعة التجريبية و(١٨) في الضابطة. استخدمت البطاقات المصوّرة في تعليم المجموعة التجريبية، بينما تعلّمت المجموعة الضابطة بالطريقة التقليدية. أظهرت النتائج تفوق المجموعة التجريبية بمتوسط درجات (٨٤%) مقارنة بالمجموعة الضابطة (٥٦%)، مع دلالة إحصائية Sig.= ٠.٠٠٠) ومتوسط كسب (N-Gain) مرتفع (٠.٥٨). وتوصل البحث إلى أن استخدام البطاقات المصوّرة يسهم بفعالية في تحسين مهارة الكلام، من خلال تعزيز المفردات، وتنمية القدرة على التعبير بطلاقة، وزيادة الدافعية والثقة لدى التلاميذ في استخدام اللغة العربية.

Abstract

In the context of the importance of Arabic language learning and its role in developing language skills and strengthening Islamic values, this study reveals that secondary-level students still face difficulties in mastering vocabulary due to the dominance of traditional teaching methods that focus on rote memorization without interactive activities. To address this issue, the study examines the effectiveness of the Total Physical Response (TPR) method, which integrates language with physical movement to make learning more active and meaningful. This research adopts a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: an experimental group taught using the TPR method and a control group taught using traditional methods, with a total sample of 54 students. Data were collected through pretests, posttests, and questionnaires, and then analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests, t-tests, SPSS software, and N-Gain calculations. The results indicate an increase in the experimental group’s mean score from 56 to 83, with a low N-Gain value (0.26), while the improvement in the control group was lower. The t-test results also demonstrate a significant difference supporting the effectiveness of the TPR method. In addition, the questionnaire results show a positive response rate of 96%, confirming that the implementation of the TPR method enhances students’ engagement and participation in Arabic vocabulary learning.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of generative artificial intelligence (AI) on student engagement and academic outcomes in Arabic language learning through a quantitative descriptive survey design that captures learners’ perceptions of AI-assisted instruction. Participants were students engaged in Arabic language learning contexts who had used generative AI tools to support their studies. The findings show that learners perceived AI as most effective in facilitating access to learning materials and enhancing vocabulary acquisition, while its role in sustaining focus and supporting writing skill development received the lowest ratings. Qualitative findings further indicate that students valued AI for its immediacy, flexibility, and personalized feedback, alongside concerns about overreliance and reduced depth of engagement. Overall, the results suggest that while generative artificial intelligence provides meaningful pedagogical support in Arabic language learning—particularly for vocabulary development and resource accessibility—intentional instructional guidance remains necessary to address its limitations, contributing novel mixed-methods evidence to the underexplored field of AI-assisted Arabic as a second language learning.   Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh kecerdasan buatan generatif (AI) terhadap keterlibatan siswa dan hasil akademik dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab melalui desain survei deskriptif kuantitatif yang menangkap persepsi siswa terhadap instruksi yang didukung AI. Peserta penelitian adalah siswa yang terlibat dalam konteks pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan telah menggunakan alat kecerdasan buatan generatif untuk mendukung studi mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik menganggap AI paling efektif dalam memfasilitasi akses ke bahan pembelajaran dan meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata, sementara perannya dalam mempertahankan fokus dan mendukung pengembangan keterampilan menulis mendapatkan penilaian terendah. Temuan kualitatif lebih lanjut menunjukkan bahwa siswa menghargai kecerdasan buatan (AI) karena kecepatan, fleksibilitas, dan umpan balik yang dipersonalisasi, meskipun ada kekhawatiran tentang ketergantungan berlebihan dan berkurangnya kedalaman keterlibatan. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun kecerdasan buatan generatif memberikan dukungan pedagogis yang berarti dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab—terutama dalam pengembangan kosakata dan aksesibilitas sumber daya—panduan instruksional yang terencana tetap diperlukan untuk mengatasi keterbatasannya, sehingga memberikan bukti baru berbasis metode campuran dalam bidang yang belum banyak dieksplorasi mengenai pembelajaran bahasa Arab sebagai bahasa kedua dengan bantuan kecerdasan buatan.
