Abstract

Stunting remains a major public health issue in Indonesia, including in Padang Pariaman Regency, where the prevalence reached 28.3% in 2021 and declined to 19.4% in 2023. Efforts to prevent stunting require a community-based approach that utilizes local resources, one of which is the nipa palm fruit (Nypa fruticans), known for its high nutritional content and potential as functional food. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in Nagari Katapiang in processing nipa fruit into nutritious and economically valuable food products. The methods included nutrition education, dissemination of information on nipa fruit potential, and training on appropriate technology for processing nipa into food products such as jam, nuggets, and meatballs. Evaluation was carried out through pre- and post-activity questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase in cadres’ knowledge of nipa’s nutritional content (from 20% to 100%) and health benefits (from 30% to 100%). Perceptions of nipa’s role in stunting prevention also increased from 25% to 95%. Furthermore, practical skills in producing nipa jam improved, where all participants who had never tried before were able to produce processed products after the training. Thus, this PKM activity successfully enhanced the knowledge and practical skills of Posyandu cadres, while demonstrating the potential of nipa fruit as a local food innovation supporting stunting prevention efforts.

Abstract

Background: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Nagari Paninjauan, Kabupaten Tanah Datar, yang menghadapi persoalan ketergantungan tinggi pada pupuk kimia, pemanfaatan limbah pertanian yang belum optimal, serta kelembagaan BUMNag yang masih lemah. Tujuan kegiatan adalah meningkatkan kapasitas petani dalam mengolah limbah pertanian menjadi pupuk dan pestisida organik serta memperkuat kemandirian ekonomi berbasis kelembagaan desa. Metode: Metode pelaksanaan mencakup sosialisasi, pelatihan pembuatan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) dan pestisida nabati, pendampingan produksi menggunakan fermentor berkapasitas 200 liter, pelatihan business model canvas bagi pengurus BUMNag dan anggota PKK, dan uji lapang pada lahan percontohan. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan petani dalam memproduksi POC, tersedianya sarana fermentor untuk produksi skala besar yang lebih konsisten, serta lahirnya rancangan model bisnis sederhana untuk pemasaran produk organik. Uji lapang memperlihatkan bahwa kombinasi POC dan pupuk anorganik (70:30) mampu menghasilkan pertumbuhan tanaman yang mendekati penggunaan pupuk kimia penuh, mendukung konsep Integrated Nutrient Management (INM). Kesimpulan: Program ini memberikan kontribusi dalam peningkatan pemanfaatan limbah pertanian, dan memperkuat kelembagaan petani menuju sistem pertanian berkelanjutan yang ramah lingkungan sekaligus memperkuat ketahanan pangan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kreativitas serta meningkatkan kepedulian lingkungan pada siswa kelas 6 SDN Satak 2 melalui pelatihan ecoprint. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif dan praktik langsung yang mencakup sosialisasi konsep ecoprint, pengumpulan daun di lingkungan sekolah, serta proses pencetakan motif pada totebag menggunakan teknik pounding. Seluruh siswa menunjukkan partisipasi yang aktif dan antusias selama kegiatan berlangsung. Hasil karya siswa memperlihatkan motif ecoprint dengan kualitas yang baik, di mana ketajaman motif dipengaruhi oleh jenis daun yang digunakan, terutama kandungan air pada daun. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam mengembangkan kreativitas visual siswa sekaligus menumbuhkan kesadaran mereka terhadap pentingnya pemanfaatan bahan alami dan perilaku ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

This community service article addresses the need for innovative and engaging English language learning methods for high school students (SMA). The shift in educational paradigms requires educators to integrate technology that supports interactive and experiential learning. This program focuses on the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) integrated with Augmented Reality (AR) technology to stimulate students' interest and enhance their English proficiency. The AR approach allows students to create digital objects (such as 3D models or interactive videos) anchored to real-world triggers, turning abstract language concepts into concrete, tangible, and fun experiences. The method involved three main stages: teacher training on AR content creation tools, student workshops on developing English-based AR projects (e.g., creating an AR tour guide for the school or an interactive vocabulary quiz), and the final implementation/exhibition of the AR projects. The results demonstrated a significant positive impact on students' motivation, collaborative skills, and practical language competence, especially in speaking and vocabulary mastery. AR successfully served as a supporting factor to create a wide and conducive learning environment. This project confirms that integrating emerging technologies like AR through a project-based approach is an effective and comprehensive strategy to optimize the potential and holistic growth of SMA students in English learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah agar memahami kesulitan-kesulitan belajar dalam pelaksanaan bimbingan konseling belajar “Tidak Menikmati Mata Pelajaran Tertentu”. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya penomena umum yang terjadi disekolah bahwa siswa tidak menikmati mata pelajaran tertentu, salah satunya adalah pelajaran yang dirasa sulit bagi siswa. Oleh karena itu dibuatlah penelitian yang menjelaskan “Faktor penyebab siswa tidak menikmati mata pelajaran tertentu beserta dampaknya ketika siswa tidak menikmati mata pelajaran tertentu”. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang menggunakan kepustakaan deskriptif dan hasil wawancara dengan salah satu guru bimbingan konseling di SMP Negeri 1 Sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat hubungan negatif dari siswa tidak menikmati mata pelajaran tertentu terhadap hasil evaluasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran tertentu. Rendahnya hasil evaluasi belajar siswa adalah dampak utama dari tidak menikmati mata pelajaran tertentu. Ketika siswa tidak merasa tertarik dan berminat terhadap materi yang diajarkan, maka mereka cenderung memiliki pemahaman yang dangkal dan kurang mampu menerapkan ilmu tersebut.

Abstract

Synthetic dyes, including Crystal Violet (CV), are widely used in the textile and chemical industries and are increasingly released into the environment due to their toxic, mutagenic, and non-biodegradable nature. The purpose of this work is to examine the photocatalytic degradation of CV utilising Fe2O3/CuO heterojunction with monoethanolamine (MEA) as an additive. To maximise its optical and catalytic capabilities, the Fe2O3/CuO photocatalyst was synthesised using different CuO compositions and MEA volumes. Using UV-Visible Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy (UV-DRS) and the Kubelka-Munk technique, the band gap energy was determined. According to the findings, the incorporation of CuO did not show a pronounced effect, but it may contribute to the photocatalytic system through interfacial interactions and improved charge transfer within the Fe2O3/CuO structure. The lowest band gap value and optimal composition were found at 20% CuO, which was further reduced by adding 2 mL MEA. Tests of photocatalytic activity were conducted for 120 minutes when exposed to UV and sunshine. The results showed that CV had a high deterioration efficiency, reaching about 53.87% when exposed to sunshine. The creation of a Fe2O3/CuO heterojunction, which enhances charge separation and decreases electron-hole recombination, is responsible for the improved performance, whereas MEA enhances particle distribution and increases surface area. These results suggest that Fe2O3/CuO with MEA is a promising, economical, and eco-friendly photocatalyst for the treatment of wastewater contaminated with dyes.

Abstract

Understanding the recognition of Hijaiyah letters is a fundamental basis in Qur'an learning, especially at the elementary school level. The aim of this study is to improve the understanding of Hijaiyah letters among first-grade students at MI Karanggates Purworejo through the implementation of the Ummi method combined with flashcard learning media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, with each cycle comprising two meetings. Data collection techniques included tests, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis employed the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, which includes data condensation, data display, and data verification stages. The results of the study showed that the Ummi method integrated with flashcards significantly improved the students’ understanding of Hijaiyah letters in grade 1 at MI Al Huda Karanggetas, Purworejo. The improvement in Cycle 1 reached 53%, while in Cycle II it increased to 82%. The conclusion of the study is that the use of the Ummi method through flashcards is effective in enhancing students' ability to recognize and understand Hijaiyah letters in grade 1 at MI Al Huda Karanggetas, Pituruh, Purworejo.Pemahaman pengenalan huruf hijaiyah merupakan dasar fundamental dalam pembelajaran Al-Qur’an, terutama di tingkat sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman huruf hijaiyah siswa kelas 1 MI Karanggates Purworejo melalui penerapan metode Ummi yang dipadukan dengan media pembelajaran flashcard. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian PTK yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 2 pertemuan. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan test, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles & Huberman & Saldana yang terdiri dari tahap kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa metode ummi melalui media flascard dapat meningkatkan pengenalan pemahaman huruf Hijaiyah pada siswa kelas 1 MI Al Huda Karanggetas Purworejo. Dengan besar peningkatan di siklus 1 adalah sebesar 53% dan besar peningkatan di siklus 2 adalah sebesar 82%. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian pengenalan huruf hijaiyah dengan metode UMMI melalui media Flascard efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mengenali dan memahami huruf hijaiyah pada siswa kelas 1 MI Al Huda Karanggetas Pituruh Purworejo.
