Abstract

Luka sayat merupakan luka dengan tepi lurus dan beraturan yang umumnya diobati menggunakan antiseptik povidone iodine 10%. Namun, penggunaan jangka panjang bahan tersebut dapat menimbulkan efek samping seperti reaksi alergi, toksik fibroblas kulit, serta iritasi selama proses penyembuhan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan bahan alternatif penyembuh luka seperti dengan menggunakan tanaman obat seperti daun tapak dara (Catharanthus roseus (L.) G. Don). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh cara penyiapan daun tapak dara terhadap panjang dan waktu penyembuhan luka sayat pada mencit (Mus musculus L). Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium FKIP Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Jambi dengan rancangan acak lengkap, terdiri atas tiga perlakuan dan enam ulangan. Perlakuan meliputi pemberian povidone iodine 10% (P1), tumbukan daun tapak dara (P2), dan air rebusan daun tapak dara (P3). Parameter yang diamati adalah pengurangan panjang luka dan waktu sembuh selama dua puluh satu hari. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA (Analysis of variant) dilanjutkan uji LSD (Least Significant Difference) untuk melihat perbedaan yang signifikan pada masing-masing perlakuan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari cara penyiapan daun tapak dara terhadap penyembuhan luka sayat. Perlakuan air rebusan daun tapak dara (P3) memberikan hasil panjang luka paling kecil yaitu 2,51 mm dengan waktu sembuh 11 hari, diikuti oleh tumbukan daun tapak dara(P2) dengan panjang luka 3,04 mm dan waktu sembuh 12 hari. Hasil penelitian ini dikembangkan menjadi media video pembelajaran pada mata kuliah fisiologi hewan untuk membantu mahasiswa memahami mekanisme pemulihan dari luka secara kontekstual dan aplikatif melalui visualisasi proses penyembuhan luka secara langsung.

Abstract

Cosmetics in cream form are more suitable. Stearic acid and triethanolamine are used as emulsifiers in making creams. The purpose of this study was to see the variation of stearic acid with triethanolamine that produces a stable cream against the physical properties of the cream preparation. The cream made was a cream with an oil-in-water (w/o) type with variations of stearic acid 5, 10, 15, 20%, and triethanolamine 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4%. The heating temperature used was 400C. The cream preparation formed was evaluated through physical property testing including pH testing and Homogeneity testing and organoleptic testing. The results showed that the higher the concentration of stearic acid used, the pH of the cream decreased, but was still within the requirements of a good cream for the skin, as well as homogeneity, the higher the concentration of stearic acid, the more homogeneous the cream produced. Panelist organoleptic testing liked the color, odor and homogeneity of the 20% stearic acid variation, which was preferred by panelists. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the concentration of the cream preparation with variations of stearic acid: triethanolamine 20%: 3.5% is the best preparation based on testing of physical and organoleptic properties.

Abstract

DM is a metabolic disorder characterized by chronic high blood glucose levels that can cause death. Long-term hyperglycemia can slowly cause retinopathy, heart and blood vessel disease, and neuropathy. Avocado is known to be used as an anti-diabetic because it contains saponin, alkaloid, steroid, phenol, tannin dan glikoside that are effective in lowering blood glucose levels. This study aims to test the potential for inhibition of the α-amylase enzyme using the molecular docking method. The study was conducted by utilizing a protein that has PDB ID 2QV4 to interact with active compounds in the ethanol extract of Avocado fruit. The results obtained were that the compounds procyanidin, vitexin, dan isoharment rhamnoside have good binding ability to α-amylase. Thus, these compounds have the potential as antidiabetics.

Abstract

Cholesterol is a disease caused by an unhealthy lifestyle. Cholesterol occurs because fat accumulates in blood vessels so that plaques form which causes blood vessels to narrow. With this problem in mind, this research was conducted to predict drug compounds capable of treating cholesterol disease by comparing them with simvastatin. Chromolaena odorata can be used as a medicinal plant that can treat cholesterol disease because this plant contains active compounds of flavonoids. This research tries to see the active interaction with HMG-CoA reductase inhibition in an improved way using Moe 2009.10 software. Based on the results of research that has been done based on the comparison of ∆G, compound O-Geranylvanillin, Avenestergenin B2, 5-O-Methylembelin, Kaempferol 3-[2’’-(6’’’-coumaroylglucosyl)- rhamnoside] 7-glucoside, ( ± )-Taxifolin, Hesperetin, ( ± )-Naringenin, Luteolin, 3′ ,4′ -Methylenedioxy epicatechin 5,7-dimethyl ether has the potential to be used as a candidate for anti-cholesterol drugs to replace simvastatin through the HMG-CoA reductase inhibition mechanism.

Andaliman is known to be used as an anti-diabetic because it contains flavonoids, terpenes, and essential oils that are effective in lowering blood glucose levels. This study aims to test the potential for inhibition of the α-amylase enzyme using the molecular docking method. The study was conducted by utilizing a protein that has PDB ID 2QV4 to interact with active compounds in the ethanol extract of andaliman fruit. The results obtained were that the compounds astragalin, cyclocerine, coribulbine, Kaempferol-3-glucuronide, morin, mururin A, oroxin B, rhamnetin, and pyrocyanidin B7 have good binding ability to α-amylase. Thus, these compounds have the potential as antidiabetics.

Abstract

Diabetes melitus (DM) merupakan kelainan metabolisme glukosa yang ditandai dengan gangguan sekresi dan resistensi insulin. Diabetes melitus tipe 2 (DMT2) dan komplikasinya merupakan penyakit tidak menular dengan angka kematian yang tinggi. Daun A. muricata dapat digunakan sebagai antidiabetes tipe 2. Daun sirsak mengandung senyawa aktif berupa senyawa alkaloid, karbohidrat, saponin, protein dan asam amino, fitosteroid, kumarin, quinon, minyak dan lemak, serta fenolik dan flavonoid yang dapat menurunkan kadar glukosa darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghambat α-Amylase dan α-Glukosidase. Untuk mengetahui aktivitas penghambatannya, dilakukan molekuler docking menggunakan protein dengan PDB ID : 3BAJ dan PDB ID : 5NN5 yang akan diinteraksikan dengan senyawa aktif yang terkandung dalam ekstrak metanol daun sirsak. Senyawa Octadecanoic acid dan Eicosanoic acid mempunyai afinitas pengikatan yang baik terhadap α-amilase. Sedangkan pada α-Glukosidase senyawa yang mempunyai afinitas pengikatan paling baik adalah n-Hexadecanoic acid. Senyawa asam n-Hexadecanoic acid berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai antidiabetes.

Abstract

Gel is a topical dosage form commonly used to treat acne, with carbopol 940 widely utilized as a gel base due to its ability to produce a clear gel with high viscosity at low concentrations (0.5–2%). This study aims to analyze variations in the concentrations of Aloe vera and carbopol 940 that result in a physically stable gel formulation. The gel was formulated using Aloe vera at concentrations of 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5%, and carbopol 940 at 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%. Evaluation parameters included pH, adhesion, spreadability, and homogeneity tests. The results show that various combinations of Aloe vera and carbopol 940 produced gel preparations that met physical stability requirements, with the optimal formulation containing 0.5 grams of carbopol exhibiting good physical stability in terms of adhesion, spreadability, and homogeneity. These findings indicate the potential of Aloe vera and carbopol 940 as effective base ingredients for producing stable acne gel formulations that meet quality standards.

Abstract

Cream is a commonly used cosmetic formulation known for its high stability, largely due to the presence of emulsifiers in its oil and water phases, such as stearic acid and triethanolamine. Emulsifiers play a crucial role in maintaining the physical stability of the formulation. This study aims to optimize cream formulations by varying the ratios of stearic acid to triethanolamine, evaluated based on smoothness and adhesiveness parameters. The tested ratio variations included 5/2; 5/2.5; 5/3; 5/3.5; 5/4; 10/2; 10/2.5; 10/3; 10/3.5; 10/4; 15/2; 15/2.5; 15/3; 15/3.5; 15/4; 20/2; 20/2.5; 20/3; 20/3.5; and 20/4, with each formulation tested in triplicate. The results indicated that several combinations met the required standards for smoothness and adhesiveness, including 5/2; 10/2.5; 10/3; 10/3.5; 10/4; 15/2; 15/2.5; 15/3; 15/3.5; 15/4; 20/2.5; and 20/3. Further analysis revealed a strong correlation between smoothness, adhesiveness, and viscosity, with viscosity being directly influenced by the amounts of stearic acid and triethanolamine in the formulation. This study produced a base cream formulation that may serve as a reference for further development, including active ingredient incorporation, quality testing, and evaluation of other physical properties.

Abstract

Zaman sekarang kosmetik lebih dari sekedar kebutuhan tambahan. Salah satu bentuk kosmetik yang paling umum digunakan adalah bentuk sediaan gel. Gel adalah sistem semipadat yang terdiri dari partikel anorganik kecil atau molekul organik besar yang terendam dalam cairan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui formulasi gel yang stabil secara fisik. Penelitian ini diawali dengan optimasi basis gel karbopol 940 dengan variasi konsentrasi lidah buaya 1, 2, 3, 4 dan 5% dan trietanolamin (TEA) dengan konsentrasi 0.1, 0.2, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 dan 1%. Selanjutnya evaluasi terhadap basis gel meliputi pengujian pH, uji daya sebar, uji daya lekat dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua formulasi pada pengujian pH menunjukkan semakin tinggi TEA yang digunakan maka pH nya semakin tinggi. Pada Pengujian Sifat Fisik Gel meliputi daya sebar, daya lekat dan homogenitas pada konsentrasi TEA 0.1 dan 0.2% didapatkan sediaan gel yang memenuhi syarat sediian gel yang baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa semua formulasi homogen, sifat kimia dan fisik gel yang terbaik adalah pada basis gel dengan variasi lidah buaya 4% dan TEA 0.1%.

Abstract

Penetapan harga atau harga jual adalah sejumlah biaya yang dikerluarkan perusahaan untuk memproduksi suatu barang atau jasa ditambah dengan presentase laba yang diinginkan perusahaan. Harga yang tepat ialah harga yang sesuai dengan kualitas produk/barang dan harga tersebut dapat memberikan kepuasan kepada konsumen. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, dengan desain penelitian studi kasus agar lebih mempermudah dalam pengambilan kesimpulan pada hasil penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara dengan sumber data berasal dari hasil wawancara narasumber kepala Toko dan bagian keuangan. Penetapan harga Kebutuhan Pokok di Toko Arafah Cirebon, telah sesuai dengan konsep ekonomi Islam. Hal ini dikarenakan konsep penetapan harga telah dijalankan dengan baik, dimana dalam konsep Ekonomi Islam tidak ada pembatasan untuk meraih keuntungan , selagi tidak memberatkan pembeli dan dengan keadaan suka sama suka diantara keduanya. Kata Kunci : Penetapan Harga, Ekonomi Islam Abstract Pricing or selling price is a number of costs incurred by the company to produce a product or service plus the percentage of profit that the company wants. The right price is a price that is in accordance with the quality of the product/goods and that price can provide satisfaction to consumers. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, with a case study research design to make it easier to draw conclusions on the research results. This study uses interview techniques with data sources derived from interviews with the head of the store and the finance department. The pricing of basic necessities at the Arafah Store, Cirebon, is in accordance with the concept of Islamic economics. This is because the concept of pricing has been carried out well, where in the Islamic concept there are no restrictions on making profits, as long as it does not burden the buyer and is consensual between the two.
