Abstract

Tilapia Lake Virus (TiLV) is a New Emerging Disease that has been defined and included in the WOAH disease list (WOAH, 2022). This virus can infect both freshwater and marine fish, causing high mortality in Ttilapia up to 90%. Reverse transcyptase method - Semi Nested Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-snPCR) for detection of TiLV in Osphronemus goramy. TiLV was discovered for the first time in Thailand and was also found in Jogjakarta in 2021. Further research is needed to see the damage and genetic variation caused by TiLV in Osphronemus goramy. This study aims to study the genetic variability and homology of TiLV isolates in Osphronemus goramy as definitive hosts in East Java. The results showed clinical symptoms of lethargic fish, decreased appetite, abnormal behavior, reduced reflexes, sluggish movements, darker body color, congestion, thinning fins and exopthalmia. The PCR results showed that the Osphronemus goramy showing clinical symptoms of TiLV infection were all positive. The sequencing results were further identified using the BLAST program, showing the highest similarity of the genetic identity of the sample at 96.8% with TiLV from Israel (Genebank Accession Number NC 029927.1).

Abstract

The SAMOTA area (Saleh Bay-Moyo Island-Mount Tambora) is a tourist destination, including the world's biosphere reserve, has the potential for grazing livestock, including the assisted villages of the Partnership and Community Development Program (PKBL) in collaboration with the University of Mataram (UNRAM) with State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) based on community needs supported by the research of lecturers, farmers in the village often experience difficulties in finding feed,  Especially in the dry season, they never give tree leguminosa feed like lamtoro to their livestock, so they often suffer losses in the form of shrinking body weight, easily getting sick, and even dying. Therefore, the purpose of community service activities is to conduct counseling on the use of Tarramba lamtoro as cattle feed in Teluk Santong Village, Plampang District, Sumbawa Regency. The method used was lectures and discussions, as well as demonstrations of the nursery and planting of lamtoro cv tarramba in Teluk Santong Village, Plampang District, Sumbawa Regency. The results of the implementation of the activity showed that the farmers were very satisfied (87%) with the extension activity.

Abstract

Biourine is urine taken from livestock, especially ruminants, which is fermented before being used. The purpose of this study was to determine the effective fermentation time and local microorganism concentration (MOL) of rice straw to produce the highest nitrogen content in bovine biourine. Biourine is obtained through the fermentation method and analysis of nitrogen levels using the Kjehdahl method. The fermentation treatment given to bioourine was for 10 and 15 days of treatment using 4 combinations of MOL concentrations of straw, cow urine and EM4 used. The results of the analysis of nitrogen levels in biourine fermented for 15 days were much higher than those fermented for 10 days. The total N levels in biourine fermentation for 15 consecutive days from K1, K2, K3 and K4 were 0.0828%, 0.1110%, 0.1074% and 0.0836%. It can be seen that the highest nitrogen content is at the second concentration with a combination of 50 grams of straw, 1000 mL of cow urine, and 5 mL of EM4. So that the use of the MOL concentration with a fermentation time of 15 days was able to increase total nitrogen levels significantly when compared to control urine which only contained 0.0399% nitrogen if done without fermentation

Abstract

Justice in Islamic law has its significance and its inception dates back to the appointment of Prophet Muhammad. From that moment, the Prophet Muhammad assumed the role of the first judge in the Islamic world, overseeing and deciding all cases presented. Following the death of the Prophet, the authority of justice was transitioned to the caliphs. In so doing, the caliphs consistently adhered to the guidance of the Quran, the Sunnah, and Ijma. In addition to them, judges are individuals who possess a deep understanding of the Quran, the Sunnah, and Ijma. Compensation for judges is determined in accordance with regulations set by the caliph. Judges emphasize a commitment to justice in their rulings. The legacy of a just judicial system within the Islamic legal framework continued to thrive through upholding the foundations of the Quranic teachings and the Prophet's traditions.

Abstract

The rising incidence of bone injuries necessitates researching and developing safe bone replacement materials. Chitosan biopolymer is one of the available materials. Because it is non-toxic, biocompatible, and biodegradable, chitosan can be employed as a bone scaffold material. According to the European Pharmacopeia 6.0 (Eur: Ph 6.0), chitosan, with a deacetylation level of more than 70%, is safe for medicinal usage. The purpose of this research was to analyze the  characteristics of chitosan isolated from nacre and the influence of nacre powder mass  on the degree of deacetylation of  chitosan. Chitosan was extracted by the processes of deproteination, demineralization, and deacetylation. Organoleptic tests, yield calculations for each stage, examination of the degree of deacetylation, creation of functional groups, and vibrational modes based on Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) data were performed on the isolated chitosan. The produced chitosan exhibited the properties of being beige color, odorless, and in powder form. The yield of insulation results obtained by the mass of chitosan. 3.7 % of the mass of nacre powder. The resultant chitosan has the formation of hydroxyl (OH) and amine (NH2) groups and vibrational stretching and bending modes. The variation in nacre powder mass throughout the isolation procedure altered the degree of deacetylation of the resultant chitosan and the wave number spectra of the hydroxyl (OH) and amine (NH2) groups. Chitosan, with a mass of 80 grams of nacre powder and a value of 76.94%, exhibited the highest degree of deacetylation. Considering that the functional groups generated in chitosan are comparable to those in bone, chitosan is a potential material for bone scaffolds.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the level of community participation in the utilization of Village Funds in Saiti Village, Nuhon District, Banggai Regency. The main focus of the study covers four aspects of participation, namely: planning, implementation, utilization of results, and evaluation of the use of Village Funds. This research approach is qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews with village officials and the community, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out using an interactive model that includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that the Saiti Village community shows active participation in almost all stages of Village Fund management. At the planning stage, participation is seen through the presence and proposals of residents in the Village Deliberation (Musdes) and the preparation of the Village Budget. At the implementation stage, the community is directly involved in physical development and empowerment activities, especially community leaders, youth, and religious leaders. However, women's participation, although quite visible, is still under the dominance of men. At the utilization stage, the community acknowledges the direct benefits of the Village Fund program, especially in the fields of infrastructure and social services. Evaluation and supervision are carried out through open forums and village government accountability reports, although not yet fully optimal. This study concludes that community participation in Saiti Village in managing the Village Fund is quite high, but still requires strengthening in terms of gender equality, policy socialization, and more equitable community involvement. Recommendations are directed at increasing the capacity of village institutions and inclusive participatory communication strategies.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan dana desa di Desa Saiti, Kecamatan Nuhon, Kabupaten Banggai. Fokus utama penelitian mencakup empat aspek partisipasi, yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pemanfaatan hasil, dan evaluasi penggunaan dana desa. Pendekatan penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan perangkat desa dan masyarakat, serta studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model interaktif yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Saiti menunjukkan partisipasi aktif pada hampir seluruh tahapan pengelolaan dana desa. Pada tahap perencanaan, partisipasi terlihat melalui kehadiran dan usulan warga dalam Musyawarah Desa (Musdes) dan penyusunan APBDes. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, masyarakat terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan pembangunan fisik dan pemberdayaan, terutama tokoh masyarakat, pemuda, dan tokoh agama. Namun, partisipasi perempuan meskipun cukup terlihat, masih berada di bawah dominasi laki-laki. Pada tahap pemanfaatan, masyarakat mengakui adanya manfaat langsung dari program dana desa, terutama di bidang infrastruktur dan pelayanan sosial. Evaluasi dan pengawasan dilakukan melalui forum-forum terbuka dan laporan pertanggungjawaban pemerintah desa, meskipun belum sepenuhnya optimal. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa partisipasi masyarakat di Desa Saiti dalam pengelolaan dana desa cukup tinggi, namun tetap memerlukan penguatan dari sisi kesetaraan gender, sosialisasi kebijakan, dan pelibatan masyarakat secara lebih merata. Rekomendasi diarahkan pada peningkatan kapasitas kelembagaan desa dan strategi komunikasi partisipatif yang inklusif.

Abstract

Forage consisting of grass and legumes is an important aspect of ruminant but availability is often dependent on the rainy season so preservation technology is needed, namely silage. This study aimed to determine the nutritional content of silage made from a mixture of Pennisetum purpureum and Sesbania grandiflora with different doses of fermentation additives. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used, consisting of four treatments with five replications. They were P0: (75% Pennisetum purpureum + 25% Sesbania grandiflora), P1: (75% Pennisetum purpureum + 25% Sesbania grandiflora + 0.1% additive), P2: (75% Pennisetum purpureum + 25% Sesbania grandiflora + 0.2% additive), P3: (75% Pennisetum purpureum + 25% Sesbania grandiflora + 0.3% additive). Each treatment was added 2% molasses and incubated for 21 days. The results showed that the addition of fermentation additives had no significant effect (P>0.05) on DM and OM content but had a highly significant effect (P<0.01) on increasing CP, EE, and TDN content and reducing CF content. The highest average DM and OM values were observed in P0 (21.02% and 89.27%, respectively), while the highest average increases in CP, EE, and TDN were found in P3 (15.31%, 2.85%, and 50.32%, respectively), and the greatest reduction in CF was also recorded in P3 (27.89%).

Abstract

Aquaculture faces serious threats, one of which is infectious disease caused by Vibrio parahaemolyticus bacteria. These bacteria have shown antibiotic resistance and cause significant economic losses. The need for safe and sustainable antibacterial alternatives is crucial given the negative impact of using synthetic antibiotics. This review explores the potential of Shorea beccariana, Uncaria gambir, and Swietenia macrophylla as natural antibacterial agents against Vibrio parahaemolyticus. A systematic descriptive study method was used to integrate primary literature. Results showed that V. parahaemolyticus is a pathogenic Gram-negative bacterium with a complex virulence mechanism. Various studies have confirmed the antibacterial activity of plant secondary metabolites, such as flavonoids, tannins, and terpenoids, against Vibrio spp. Although the specific effectiveness of these three plants against V. parahaemolyticus has not been widely studied, the bioactive compounds identified in their extracts show strong potential. These compounds work by damaging the integrity of bacterial cells and disrupting their metabolism, offering a promising natural solution for vibriosis control.

Abstract

Pengangkutan di Indonesia memiliki peranan penting dalam memajukan dan memperlancar perdagangan dalam maupun luar negeri karena adanya pengangkutan dapat memperlancar arus barang dari daerah produksi ke konsumen sehingga kebutuhan konsumen dapat terpenuhi. Transportasi atau pengangkutan merupakan bidang kegiatan yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia. Pentingnya transportasi bagi masyarakat Indonesia disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor antara lain, keadaan geografis Indonesia, yang terdiri dari ribuan pulau kecil dan besar, perairan yang terdiri dari sebagian besar laut, sungai dan danau yang memungkinkan pengangkutan dilakukan melalui darat, perairan, dan udara guna menjangkau seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Tujuan diadakannya pengangkutan adalah untuk memindahkan barang dari tempat asal ke tempat tujuan untuk mencapai dan meninggikan manfaat serta efisiensi. Mengangkut artinya mengangkat dan membawa, memuat dan membawa atau mengirimkan. Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran dan respons masyarakat terhadap tanda-tanda Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT) di Desa Pandai, Kecamatan Woha, Kabupaten Bima, NTB. Metode Pengabdian dengan memberikan penyuluhan, workshop, dan pembentukan forum diskusi untuk berbagi informasi dan pengalaman terkait KDRT. Hasil Pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan sekitar 40% dalam respons masyarakat terhadap tanda-tanda KDRT, terutama pada kelompok rentan seperti remaja dan lansia. Meskipun menghadapi tantangan stigma sosial dan ketakutan melaporkan, upaya pengurangan stigma dan penguatan perlindungan korban telah dilakukan. Tim pengabdian menegaskan keberhasilan program deteksi dini dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pelaporan kasus KDRT. Implikasinya, diperlukan langkah-langkah berkelanjutan, termasuk adaptasi program serupa di wilayah lain dengan mempertimbangkan karakteristik lokal. Dengan demikian, upaya pencegahan dan penanganan KDRT dapat terus berkembang, memberikan kontribusi positif bagi masyarakat, dan memperkuat fondasi perubahan budaya yang mendukung keadilan dan keamanan di tingkat lokal
