Abstract

Indonesia’s post-conflict regions, such as Aceh, Poso, and Papua, continue to confront the legacies of violence, trauma, and contested historical narratives. In these areas, history education holds significant potential for promoting reconciliation and preventing the recurrence of conflict. This study examines the role of history teachers in integrating peace education within the broader frameworks of legal strategies and advocacy in Indonesian post-conflict settings. Drawing on qualitative research, including in-depth interviews with educators, civil society actors, and local government representatives, the paper explores how history teachers navigate sensitive political and historical issues in classrooms marked by ethnic, religious, and ideological divisions. The study highlights how legal frameworks such as human rights education, truth-seeking efforts, and transitional justice initiatives—though limited in formal policy—are informally adopted by educators through civil society-led training and community advocacy. Findings suggest that when adequately supported, history teachers in Indonesia can act as frontline peacebuilders, helping students develop critical thinking, historical empathy, and a commitment to nonviolence. Moreover, advocacy networks play a crucial role in enabling educators to address topics such as mass violence, displacement, and state-perpetrated injustice in ways that foster healing rather than deepen polarization. By contextualizing peace education within Indonesia’s unique socio-political landscape, this paper contributes to the global discourse on post-conflict education and provides practical pathways for integrating historical accountability into curriculum and teacher training programs.

Abstract

This study to overcome the lack of collaboration and student interest in learning history in class X SMA Negeri 7 Semarang by applying the Talking Chips cooperative learning model. The research method used is descriptive qualitative approach, this study collected data from grade X students and 1 history subject teacher for three meetings through observation, interview, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in students’ active participation (from 65% to 90%), a change in students’ positive perception of history, and the development of critical thinking skills. The Talking Chips model contributes by providing empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of innovative learning models in improving collaboration and creating a more interactive history learning experience that is relevant to 21st century skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan aplikasi kahoot dalam pembelajaran passing bawah bola voli kelas X SMK N 3 Semarang untuk meningkatjkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini didasari dengan adanya beberapa faktor yaitu terdapat peserta didik yang belum memahami materi passing bawah bola voli. Pendekatan penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu menggunakan PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) yang dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Subyek penelitian ini yaitu kelas X Teknik Kendaraan Ringan SMK N 3 Semarang yang berjmlah 36 oeserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menyatakan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar dalam pembelajaran passing bawah bola voli. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dengan adanya ketuntasan klasikal peserta didik yang semula sejumlah 36% peserta didik tuntas, meningkat menjadi 89% peserta didik tuntas pada siklus dua. Penerapan aplikasi kahoot mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik sehingga mampu menciptakan kondisi kelas yang menyenangkan dan berpusat pada peserta didik.

Abstract

Abstrak. Pengabdian ini bertujuan sebagai upaya penurunan angka stunting di Desa Japan, Kecamatan Dawe, Kabupaten Kudus melalui pendekatan holistik. Stunting merupakan masalah gizi kronis yang menghambat pertumbuhan fisik dan kognitif anak di bawah usia lima tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan pendekatan holistik yang melibatkan seluruh komponen masyarakat, termasuk orang tua, pemerintah desa, kader kesehatan, dan lembaga terkait. Metode kualitatif digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab stunting dan merancang program intervensi yang efektif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa melalui pendekatan holistik, terjadi peningkatan kesadaran dan pengetahuan tentang gizi seimbang, sanitasi, dan perawatan kesehatan anak. Program intervensi yang diterapkan berhasil meningkatkan aksesibilitas pangan bergizi dan mengurangi angka stunting secara signifikan. Hal ini menunjukkan pentingnya kolaborasi antar stakeholder dalam mengatasi masalah stunting. Studi ini memberikan wawasan bagi pihak terkait dalam merancang strategi pengabdian masyarakat yang lebih efektif untuk menanggulangi stunting dan masalah gizi lainnya di daerah dengan tantangan serupa.Abstract. This community service initiative aims to reduce stunting rates in Japan Village, Dawe District, Kudus Regency through a holistic approach. Stunting is a chronic nutritional issue that impedes the physical and cognitive growth of children under five years old. This study seeks to implement a holistic approach that involves all community components, including parents, village government, health workers, and relevant institutions. A qualitative method was used to identify the causes of stunting and design effective intervention programs. The results of this study indicate that through a holistic approach, there was an increase in awareness and knowledge about balanced nutrition, sanitation, and child healthcare. The implemented intervention programs successfully improved access to nutritious food and significantly reduced stunting rates. This demonstrates the importance of collaboration among stakeholders in addressing stunting issues. This study provides insights for relevant parties in designing more effective community service strategies to combat stunting and other nutritional problems in areas facing similar challenges.Keywords: Stunting; Holistic Approach; Nutritional Issues; Japan Village

Abstract

This research aims to explain the strategies that can be applied by history teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in history education at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang. By understanding the school context, which includes its founding history, vision, and educational programs, this study identifies relevant strategies to enhance the effectiveness of history education. Data were collected through document analysis and interviews with experienced history teachers at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang. The results indicate that a deep understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum, development of contextual teaching materials, interactive teaching approaches, technology integration, competency-based evaluation, collaboration with other teachers and communities, and continuous professional development are key to the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in history education at SMA Negeri 12 Semarang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan penggunaaan media serta model terhadap motivasi siswa pada pembelajaran sejarah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan dari media wordwall pada game-based learning dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa pada pembelajaran sejarah di SMA Negeri 1 Tuntang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di SMA Negeri 1 Tuntang. Teknik pengambilan data meliputi tiga cara yaitu wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Subjek penelitian mengambil satu guru sejarah dan tiga siswa kelas X2 sebagai informan dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk memperoleh data yang relevan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan sistematis meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil temuan yang didapat dalam penelitian menyatakan bahwa sebagian siswa kelas X memiliki ketertarikan dan keterampilan dalam dunia game dan menyenangi pembelajaran dengan bermain pada pelajaran sejarah. Guru menerapkan dengan baik dalam penggunaan media wordwall dan siswa menunjukkan motivasi diri dalam pembelajaran sejarah dengan pemahaman lebih dari pengalaman selama belajar. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media yang tepat dan sesuai dari guru dengan kebutuhan siswa memberikan kemudahan dalam meningkatkan motivasi pada diri siswa.

Abstract

This quantitative study investigates the impact of integrating the Picture and Student Active (PASA) learning model with a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on the historical thinking skills of vocational high school students in Indonesia. Using a multiple regression design with two sample classes, data were collected via questionnaire. Results indicate that the application of the PASA model and CTL approach individually does not guarantee a significant improvement in students' historical thinking. However, CTL plays a crucial mediating role, where its consistent integration with both the picture and student-active components indirectly leads to a significant positive effect. Simultaneously, the combined application of the PASA model and CTL approach has a significant influence, accounting for 52%-64% of the improvement in historical thinking skills, as indicated by the Adjusted R-Square value. This suggests that a synergistic, contextually anchored active learning model is effective in fostering higher-order historical reasoning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model using Pop-Up Book media in enhancing students' creativity in history learning at SMA Negeri 1 Gebog Kudus. The research is motivated by the need to create learning experiences that encourage active student engagement and the development of 21st-century skills, particularly creativity. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach was employed, involving a history teacher and students from class XI F-8 as the research subjects. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using data triangulation techniques. The findings indicate that the implementation of PjBL with Pop-Up Book media effectively enhances the four indicators of student creativity: fluency in thinking, flexibility, originality, and idea elaboration. This suggests that the use of Pop-Up Book-based PjBL is a relevant and adaptable creative learning alternative across various educational levels and subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of interactive booklets in history learning, especially World War II material and its role in realizing the values of the Pancasila Student Profile (P5) in class XI students of SMAN 14 Semarang. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study results indicate that using interactive booklets can significantly improve students' understanding of history material. In addition, it also encourages the growth of P5 values in students. This can be seen from the active participation of students in the interview session discussion and their ability to respond to the values of humanity and peace. Thus, interactive booklets are an effective and relevant learning media in supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

 Illegal cigarettes are a serious problem in Indonesia that has an impact on the health, economy, and social of the community. Illegal cigarettes cause the state to suffer losses of up to trillions of rupiah due to the loss of excise revenue. One of the efforts made by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise to suppress the circulation of illegal cigarettes is through the Illegal Cigarette Strike program. This service aims to increase public awareness of the dangers and negative impacts of illegal cigarettes through the implementation of the Illegal Cigarette Strike program in Bandungan Village. The method of implementing this program consists of four main stages, namely campaigns, socialization, education, and advertising creation. The program was carried out from February 16 to March 6, 2025 by the UNNES GIAT 11 team in collaboration with village officials. The results of the activity show an increase in public understanding of the characteristics of illegal cigarettes and their impact on the state. This program is a strategic step in reducing the circulation of illegal cigarettes in Indonesia through increasing awareness and active participation of the public in efforts to eradicate illegal cigarettes.
