Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) dengan pemanfaatan limbah sasirangan sebagai sumber belajar pada materi koloid siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 11 Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) perbedaan literasi ilmiah antara siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, (2) perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif antara siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dan (3) respon siswa terhadap penerapan model Group Investigation (GI) pada materi koloid. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode eksperimen semu (quasy experiment) dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Terdapat dua variabel penelitian yaitu model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) dengan pemanfaatan limbah sasirangan sebagai sumber belajar sebagai variabel bebas, literasi sains dan hasil belajar sebagai variabel terikat. Kelas eksperimen menerapkan model Group Investigation (GI) dengan pemanfaatan limbah sasirangan sebagai sumber belajar, sedangkan kelas kontrol menerapkan model konvensional. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes dan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat perbedaan literasi ilmiah yang signifikan antara siswa kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata 86,48 dan kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata 68,57, (2) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif yang signifikan antara siswa kelas eksperimen dengan persentase ketuntasan 82,85 % dan kelas kontrol dengan persentase ketuntasan 71,43 %, (3) model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) dengan pemanfaatan limbah sasirangan sebagai sumber belajar mendapat respon positif dari siswa pada materi koloid dengan rata-rata respon siswa 42,57 yang termasuk kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penggunaan model problem based learning pada materi elektrolit dan non-elektrolit. Peneleitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan self efficacy serta hasil belajar peserta didik pada pembahasan larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan 2 siklus pembelajaran dimana tiap siklusnya memiliki tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Peserta didik kelas X Teknik Komputer Jaringan C SMK Negeri 2 Banjarmasin Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018 sebagai subjek penelitian. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes dan non-tes. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan terjadi peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II yang meliputi self efficacy peserta didik dari kategori cukup baik dengan skor 49,69 meningkat menjadi 58,58 dan dikategorikan baik, hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan peserta didik dari ketuntasan 51,43% menjadi 88,57%, penilaian aspek sikap peserta didik meningkat dari kategori cukup baik dengan skor 6,325 menjadi kategori baik dengan skor 10,08, keterampilan peserta didik meningkat dari kategori cukup terampil dengan skor 51,04% menjadi terampil dengan skor 71,04%, serta respon positif yang diberikan peserta didik dengan penerapan model problem based learning dikategorikan baik yaitu dengan skor sebesar 38,74.

Abstract

The development of creativity is included in one of the focuses of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. One way to develop students' creativity is to develop creative thinking skills. This study aims to describe the validity of interactive modules in science learning to improve students' creative thinking skills in junior high schools. This study uses a 4D research and development model design. Data were collected using validity instruments and legibility test questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively. The research subjects consisted of 5 expert validators and 2 students. The results showed (1) the validity of the interactive science learning module met the very valid category with an average result of 86.07. (2) the readability test of the interactive science learning module met the "good enough" category, with an average result of 70.83. The interactive science learning module is declared valid to improve students' creative thinking skills in junior high schools.

Abstract

The potential of wetland ethnoscience in the South Kalimantan region needs to be explored more deeply so that it can be used as a learning resource that produces meaningful learning. This qualitative research has applied the Spradley method to explore the facts and experiences of wetland-based indigenous science in Amuntai Hulu Sungai Utara Regency to transform it into ethnoscience which is used as a natural science learning resource, especially for the concept of physical science. Ethnoscience learning resources for the Mamar Alabio village community in raising Alabio ducks have original knowledge in the form of hatching techniques and indigenous knowledge of the Banyu Hirang village community in the use of sunlight to dry water hyacinth and purun plants, as well as the use of a raw material pounder which were very potential as science learning resources related to with physics concepts according to the junior high school curriculum 2013. These ethnoscience learning resources can be integrated into science learning designs to produce meaningful learning and train students' competencies.

Abstract

Mastery of abstract chemistry concepts requires learning strategies to facilitate students to make mental imagery to the submicroscopic level. This study aims to analyze the differences in students' mastery of the ionic equilibrium in salt solutions concept by applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with multilevel representation. The study applied a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The research samples were 61 students of natural science 11th grade SMAN 6 Banjarmasin, which were determined by random cluster sampling. This test instrument is in the form of reasoned-multiple choice with a Content Validity Ratio (CVR) score of 1 (valid), reliability score of 0.96 (very high), difficulty index is moderate to difficult, distinguishing power is moderate to good, and sensitivity item is a sensitive category. Data were analyzed inferentially using an unpaired ttest. This research found that the PBL model with multilevel representation increased the students’ thinking ability at Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) levels. The student's mastery of the ionic equilibrium in salt solutions concept learned by using the PBL model with multilevel representation was better than by using the PBL model.

Abstract

This research was conducted on the existence of problems in the form of low creative thinking skills and students' self-efficacy in learning. One way that can be done to solve this problem is by utilizing teaching materials in the form of modules that students can use for independent learning. Therefore, this research was conducted to develop science learning modules to improve the creative thinking skills and self-efficacy of class VIII students of junior high school. This type of research is Educational Design Research (EDR) using the Tessmer development model. The final result of the validation average is 3.49, which is in the very valid category. Therefore, based on the research results, the science learning module has been declared very valid to improve students' creative thinking skills and self-efficacy in learning science

Abstract

Students in schools use techniques to keep up with the increasingly rapid development of the times. A module is the learning media. Lessons will be easier for students to understand if teaching materials are simple, practical, and relevant. However, activity in living things is still regarded as unsuitable learning material. This is because presenting the characteristics of objects to students in real terms can also be challenging. As a consequence, research and development of teaching materials for class VIII SMP/MTs based on critical thinking and decision-making skills are carried out in motion modules on living things. The goal of this research and development is to validate SMP/MTs class modules in order to improve critical thinking and decision-making skills. The Tessmer Formative evaluation development model is used in this type of research. Aspects of validity include content, presentation, and language. The research data were analyzed descriptively into categories. The results show that the CBSL module developed is in a very valid category with a value of 3.51, implying that this module appears to follow the objectives of learning science and is technically very feasible to be used as a science learning resource.

Abstract

Self-efficacy greatly determines the success of students in learning. However, most students have low self-efficacy. This study aims to develop sway-based interactive chemistry learning media to improve the students’ conceptual understanding of stoichiometry and self-efficacy. The research used a 4D development model which consists of the stages of define, design, develope, and disseminate. Sway-based media trials include individual trials involving 3 students, small group trials involving 8 students, and field trials involving 2 classes consisting of 70 students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 4 Banjarmasin. The study indicated that the developed sway-based media: (1) very valid from the aspect of content, presentation, language, and media; (2) practical based on one to one and small group trials, students’ responses, and learning process management data; and (3) effective based on the N-gain score of the students’ conceptual understanding of stoichiometric concept and self-efficacy in the medium and high categories, respectively. It can be concluded that sway-based interactive learning media is feasible used in chemistry learning to improve students’ conceptual understanding of stoichiometric concepts and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran PowerPoint Ispring pada materi Larutan Penyangga, yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi dan pengetahuan peserta didik. Pengembangan media ini menggunakan metode Research and Development dengan model 4D. Subyek penelitian ini yaitu 5 validator, 26 orang peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMAN 1 Alalak (3 orang pada uji perorangan, 5 orang pada uji kelompok kecil, dan 18 orang pada uji terbatas). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket validasi, angket keterbacaan peserta didik, angket keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik, lembar observasi, dan tes hasil belajar pengetahuan. Analisis data menggunakan Aiken's, distribusi frekuensi dan uji inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media PowerPoint ispring yang dikembangkan (1) valid dengan skor validitas sebesar 0,89. (2) praktis pada uji coba perorangan sebesar 4,30, uji coba kelompok kecil sebesar 4,22, dan observasi penggunaan media sebesar 80,96. (3) efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik dengan N-gain masing-masing sebesar 0,31 dengan kategori sedang, dan 0,70 dengan kategori tinggi. Produk berupa media PowerPoint Ispring yang dikembangkan layak sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi dan pengetahuan peserta didik pada materi larutan penyangga. Abstract

Science process skills play a crucial role in constructing knowledge and fostering the ability to independently solve problems. Despite their significance, the science process skills of students across various educational levels remain at a relatively low level. This research seeks to evaluate the science process skills of students and their responses to learning about colloids through a blended learning-based guided inquiry approach. The research employs a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group setup. The sample, drawn through cluster random sampling, consists of students from Class XI MIPA 1 at SMAN 11 Banjarmasin, divided into two groups. Group A, the experimental class, engages in blended learning-based guided inquiry, while Group B, the control class, follows the guided inquiry model. Data collection involves tests to assess students' science process skills and non-tests to gauge their responses. The analysis entails descriptive techniques and t-tests. The findings indicate (1) discernible differences in science process skills between classes employing blended learning-based guided inquiry and guided inquiry alone, and (2) a positive response from students towards the blended learning-based inquiry model.
