Abstract

The integration of science and local knowledge is still rarely found in the learning media used in lectures. This has an impact on the lack of meaningful learning and students' ability to create student worksheets. This study applied a case-based learning strategy integrated with traditional ecological knowledge to evaluate the ability of prospective teacher students to design student worksheets, so this study aimed to determine the correlation between the two variables. The sample for this study was 73 prospective science teacher students who programmed the STEM course. The study used a one-shoot case design and the results showed that (1) students' ability to design TEK-based worksheets increased from meeting 1 to meeting 3 after the implementation of the CBL strategy, and (2) there was a positive and strong relationship between the implementation of the CBL strategy and the ability of students to design TEK-based worksheets. So, the CBL strategy is appropriate to use in STEM lectures to improve students' ability to design worksheets.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yakni menganalisis perbedaan sikap peduli lingkungan di Sekolah Dasar Kabupaten Tanah Laut di setiap jenjang Adiwiyata dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan pada tujuh Sekolah Dasar Negeri di Kabupaten Tanah Laut yaitu di SDN Atu-Atu (Adiwiyata Mandiri), SDN 4 Angsau dan SDN Pabahanan (Adiwiyata Nasional), SDN Ambungan dan SDN 3 Angsau (Adiwiyata Provinsi), SDN 1 Angsau, dan SDN 1 Pulau Sari (Adiwiyata Kabupaten). Subjek meliputi 20 orang peserta didik di setiap sekolah. Hasil dari ketujuh sekolah yang menjadi sampel peneliti menunjukkan Program Adiwiyata mampu membentuk sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik. Berdasarkan uji Kruskal-Wallis terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil dari sampel tujuh sekolah. Adapun persentase tertinggi yaitu pada Adiwiyata Kabupaten yang memiliki capaian sebesar 88,5%, sedangkan untuk persentase terendah yaitu pada Adiwiyata Nasional dengan capaian sebesar 85,0%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa jenjang Adiwiyata tidak mempengaruhi sikap peduli lingkungan pada peserta didik.

Abstract

Science learning should provide meaningful experiences for students to understand various scientific phenomena in life. Integrating local wisdom in learning can improve scientific literacy because the various concepts learned are witnessed directly by students in life. This research aim of developing science LKPD integrated with local wisdom of sasirangan natural colors to improve project-based science literacy with the STEAM approach. The research approach used is qualitative research. Based on the research results and discussion, it can be concluded that the project-based learning model is very appropriate to be applied with the STEAM approach so that learning activities are student-centered, create meaningful learning, and train science literacy. Based on these findings, teachers should design media and lesson plans that are integrated with local wisdom and apply them in classroom learning.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas, kepraktisan serta keefektifan multimedia interaktif berbasis Articulate Storyline bermuatan etnosains pada materi suhu, kalor dan pemuaian untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation Evaluation). Hasil pengembangan multimedia interaktif ini diuji cobakan kepada kelompok kecil sebanyak 10 siswa dan uji coba kelas sebanyak 30 siswa kelas VII SMPN 13 Banjarmasin. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitaif yang meliputi analisis validitas Aiken’s V, analisis kepraktisan menggunakan persentase dan analisis keefektifan menggunakan N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia yang dikembangkan mendapat skor validitas sebesar 0,80, skor kepraktisan 86% dan skor keefektifan sebesar 0,61. Berdasarkan perolehan skor tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa multimedia interaktif yang dikembangkan sangat valid, sangat praktis dan efektif jika digunakan pada pembelajaran IPA dan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa.

Abstract

Engineering design process (EDP) penting bagi lulusan agar berperan dalam perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan masyarakat. Namun, kemampuan ini belum berkembang baik di kalangan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul IPA berbasis PjBL-STEAM untuk meningkatkan kemampuan EDP peserta didik, dilihat dari validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan modul. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design Research model ADDIE untuk menghasilkan modul IPA berbasis PjBL-STEAM yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan EDP peserta didik. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 5 Alalak, dengan validitas modul dinilai oleh 3 ahli dan praktisi, kepraktisan berdasarkan keterlaksanaan modul dan angket respon, dan keefektifan dari kemampuan EDP peserta didik. Uji coba produk meliputi uji kelompok kecil (8 peserta didik) dan uji lapangan (50 peserta didik) dari dua kelas berbeda. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan n-gain dan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) modul pembelajaran sangat valid dengan skor 87,19; 2) kepraktisan di SMP Negeri 5 Alalak sangat tinggi dengan skor 86,36 dan angket respon 81,79; 3) efektivitas dengan n-gain di SMP Negeri 5 Alalak pada aspek EDP sebesar 0.58 (sedang) dan uji independent t-test 0,652 menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan di kedua kelas. Berdasarkan hasil ini, modul IPA berbasis PjBL-STEAM dinyatakan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan EDP peserta didik.

Abstract

Everyone must have scientific literacy to actively participate in advancing science, technology, and society. However, the scientific literacy skills of Indonesian students are still low. This research aims to develop student worksheets based on guided inquiry on buffer solution material to increase students' scientific literacy. This research applied 4D development research which includes the Definition, Design, Development, and Dissemination stages. At the definition stage, a needs analysis was carried out, while at the design stage, a draft of the student worksheet was made. At the development stage, the worksheet was validated by 5 validators. Furthermore, the revised worksheet was tested for readability by 10 students in class XI IPA. Finally, the revised worksheet was field tested on 32 students through a learning buffer solution in class with a guided inquiry strategy. This study employed a descriptive approach to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the worksheet. The findings indicate that the developed worksheet is highly valid, with an average validity score of 94.11% across the content, presentation, media, and language aspects, placing it in the very valid category. The worksheet also achieved a practicality score of 84%, indicating it is practical. Additionally, the worksheet improved students' scientific literacy with an N-gain value of 0.59. Therefore, it can be concluded that the worksheet can be used to improve students' scientific literacy through buffer solution learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meghasilkan e-modul IPA berbasis computational thinking yang layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir logis peserta didik. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE, meliputi Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen validasi e-modul, angket respon guru dan peserta didik, dan tes kemampuan berpikir logis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai validitas e-modul IPA berbasis computational thinking adalah 0,78 termasuk kategori validitas tinggi. Hasil kepraktisan dari angket respon guru 90,93% dan respon peserta didik 85,68% dengan ketegori sangat praktis, hasil keefektifan kemampuan berpikir logis peserta didik pada uji coba terbatas dan uji coba lapangan meningkat, nilai N-gain pada uji coba terbatas dan uji coba lapangan masing-masing 0,73 dan 0,77 dengan kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian e-modul IPA berbasis computational thinking yang dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir logis dalam pembelajaran IPA.Kata kunci: Berpikir Komputasi, E-modul, Berpikir Logis. This study aims to produce thinking computation-based science e-modules that are feasible to use to improve students' thinking skills. This development research uses the ADDIE model, including Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection uses e-module validation instruments, teacher and student response questionnaires, and logical thinking ability tests. The results showed that the validity value of the thinking computation-based science e-module was 0.78 which was included in the high validity category. The results of the practicality of the teacher's response questionnaire were 90.93% and the responses of students were 85.68% with the very practical category, the results of the effectiveness of students' logical thinking skills in limited trials and field trials increased, the N-gain value in limited trials and field tests try field respectively 0.73 and 0.77 with high category. Thus the thinking computation-based science e-module that has been developed is feasible to use to improve logical thinking skills in science learning.Keywords: Computational Thinking, E-Module, Logical Thinking.

Abstract

PISA 2022 results show that Indonesia's scientific literacy is still low. This is because the learning resources containing local wisdom in learning are very limited. This research aims to analyze the validity of the PjBL-STEAM teaching module containing the local wisdom of natural dye to increase students' scientific literacy. The research method is design research using the ADDIE model with five stages, namely analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. Stage 1) analyze, in the form of an analysis of the curriculum, student characteristics, and existing module products. Stage 2) design, which consists of designing the draft module and research instruments. Stage 3) develop, in the form of collecting validity data through assessments from three experts and two practitioners. Stages 4) implement and 5) evaluate will be carried out in further research. The research results obtained showed content validity of 3.54 (very valid), linguistic validity of 3.49 (very valid), presentation validity of 3.63 (very valid), graphic validity of 3.5 (very valid), and scientific literacy aspect validity of 3.6 (very valid). Based on the assessment results, the PjBL-STEAM module containing the local wisdom of natural dye is valid and can be used to increase students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

The low problem-solving ability of chemistry students in solving contextual problems is related to their low conceptual understanding and environmental literacy. Based on these problems, this study aims to improve problem-solving abilities and conceptual understanding through the development of a biodiesel e-module with a valid, practical, and effective STEAM Web Based Blended Learning (STEAM WBBL) approach. This study uses the ADDIE model for research and development. This study was conducted on 40 Chemistry Education students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and test instruments for problem-solving abilities, conceptual understanding, and environmental literacy. The effectiveness analysis technique used a written test in the form of problem-solving ability and conceptual understanding test instruments. Based on the validity test, the developed biodiesel e-module was declared valid, very practical, and effective in improving students' problem-solving abilities, conceptual understanding, and environmental literacy with N-gain values of 0.75, 0.73, and 0.68, respectively. The biodiesel e-module application with the STEAM WBBL approach is suitable for use as a teaching material.
