Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) penting bagi peserta didik karena dalam kehidupan sehari-hari seringkali berhadapan dengan masalah baik yang berasal dari dalam dirinya sendiri maupun dari lingkungannya, namun kemampuan HOTS peserta didik umumnya masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas, kepraktisan dan keefektifan media pembelajaran berbasis android untuk melatih HOTS peserta didik pada materi teknologi ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Penelitian ini diuji cobakan pada peserta didik kelas IX di SMP Negeri 1 Martapura. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu aiken v, persentase dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mendapatkan skor validitas 0,86, skor kepraktisan 93,28% dan skor keefektifan sebesar 0,76. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan media pembelajaran berbasis android dinyatakan sangat valid, sangat praktis, dan efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran IPA di SMP dan dapat digunakan untuk melatih HOTS peserta didik. Perlu diujicoba lebih lanjut dengan menambahkan video permasalahan yang ada dalam media pembelajaran dan melibatkan subjek penelitian yang lebih banyak.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the validity, practicality and effectiveness of web-based learning media google sites on reproductive material in animals to improve Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The method used in this research is Research and Development with a 4D development model. Data collection techniques are using validation sheets of media experts and material experts; student response questionnaire; and test instruments for reproductive knowledge in animals. The research subjects were six students in class IX C in the small group trial and 24 students in class IX D in the large group trial held at MTs Ibtidaussalam, Barito Kuala Regency. The results showed that the learning media developed in category (1) was very valid based on the assessment of media and material experts with an average validity score of 0.88 (2) very practical based on the assessment after testing to students with a practicality score of 90.89% and (3) effective based on learning outcomes of learning outcomes of reproductive material in animals by students with an N-gain score of 0.76. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that the web-based learning media google sites material reproduction in animals is very suitable for students to use to increase HOTS.

Abstract

Research has been carried out on the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on the critical thinking skills of VIII grade junior high school students on the subject of vibrations, waves, and sounds at SMP Negeri 27 Banjarmasin. This study aims to describe the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on the critical thinking skills of eighth-grade junior high school students on the subject of vibration, waves, and sound. The type of research used in this research is the preexperimental method with the experimental design of The One Group Pretest Posttest. The research subjects in this study were conducted using random sampling. The research subjects in this study were class VIII E as many as 33 people in the experimental class. The data collection technique used the test technique. The data analysis technique uses the t-test to analyze the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on students' critical thinking skills. From the results of the t-test, the value of students' critical thinking skills was obtained with sig (0.000) < α = 0.05, meaning that there was a difference between the pretest and posttest results of students' critical thinking skills using the guided inquiry learning model. The research results show that the guided inquiry learning model influences students' critical thinking skills so this learning model can be used as an alternative learning model in schools to improve student's critical thinking skills.

Abstract

A research was conducted on students' critical thinking skills in science learning in SMP. This study aims to determine the differences in the critical thinking skills of students who learn with the brainstorming method in class VII students of SMP Negeri 6 Banjarmasin in the 2018/2019 academic year. This study used a quasi-experimental method using a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The sample of the study was class VII A students consisting of 30 students as the experimental class and class VII G students consisting of 30 students as the control class. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques using test techniques. The data analysis technique used the t-test to analyze differences in the critical thinking skills of students in the experimental and control classes, and descriptive analysis to describe the differences in the level of critical thinking skills between students who used the brainstorming and expository methods. The result showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class as indicated by the results of the t-test from the price Tcount > Ttable (2,41 > 2) and there was a difference in critical thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class as indicated by the percentage value, posttest experimental class namely 82,08% and control class 71,38%.Keywords: Brainstorming, Expository, Critical Thinking, Science

Abstract

Penelitian  yang  disajikan  di  sini  didasarkan  pada  permasalahan  kehidupan  nyata  mengenai bagaimana pembelajaran sains diterapkan di SMPN 4 Banjarmasin. Guru masih menggunakan materi visual seperti buku, lembar kerja, dan modul untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran. Konsep topik  hanya  dijelaskan  sekilas  oleh  guru,  kemudian  siswa  mengerjakan  LKS  untuk  praktek. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat sumber ajar e-book untuk membantu instruktur dalam proses  pembelajaran  di  kelas  dan  menilai  tingkat  validitas  produk.  Empat  komponen  model penelitian 4-D adalah mendefinisikan, merancang, mengembangkan, dan mendistribusikan. E- book  dikembangkan  oleh  para  peneliti  sebagai  alat  pendidikan.  Kemampuan  untuk menempatkan e-book yang dikembangkan pada perangkat elektronik menjadikan potensi bagi siswa  untuk  belajar  kapanpun  dan  dimanapun  mereka  memilih.  Para  ahli  telah  memvalidasi temuan penelitian terkait pembuatan E-Book Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup. Hasil validasi ahli materi memenuhi kriteria “sangat valid” dengan rata-rata persentase 85,6%, dan hasil validasi ahli  media  memenuhi  kriteria  dengan  rata-rata  persentase  83,7%.  Oleh  karena  itu, Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran E-Book Klasifikasi Makhluk Hidup Kelas VII SMPN 4 Banjarmasin dinyatakan sangat valid.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is one of the primary objectives of scientific education. Despite this, field research indicates that scientific literacy remains inadequate. The approach of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and local wisdom have scientifically obtained substantive supports in addressing comparable challenges. However, the STEM-based Learner Worksheet and the incorporation of local wisdom into scientific education remain underdeveloped. The purpose of this research is to describe the validity of thermal energy worksheet based on STEM and local wisdom in enhancing scientific literacy. This research and development employed the Borg and Gall model. The validation sheet used to acquire the worksheet validation data were reviewed by two practitioners and three experts. The validation data was derived by averaging the validator's scores on all assessment components, with the calculation outcomes being modified to adhere to the validity criteria. The results indicated that the validity of the worksheet based on STEM and local wisdom of thermal energy material was classified as very valid with an average score of 3.49. Therefore, the worksheet based on STEM and local wisdom regarding thermal energy materials are deemed valid and can be implemented in the subsequent phase of classroom trials.

Abstract

The Meratus Dayak people still believe that traditional medicine using medicinal plants can cure diseases and still often use it as needed. This traditional medicine has become extinct because the system of inheritance of knowledge is only through oral without any written records from generation to generation. This has led to a decrease in the number of individuals who have knowledge and skills in traditional medicine, especially in the younger generation who are less interested in learning traditional medicine. The purpose of this study was to analyze the knowledge of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Balangan students on medicinal plants, their use as daily or traditional customs and efforts to preserve traditional medicines in Halong Subdistrict, Balangan District. Students from class X IPA and X IPS at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 4 Balangan have low knowledge about medicinal plants caused by several factors, including curriculum, teaching methods that are less interactive, the influence of parents who have limited knowledge, and modernization make modern medicines easier to obtain. Students have basic knowledge of medicinal plants, but limited to a few common types, there is a desire to expand their knowledge. The application of medicinal plants in everyday life is still low due to lack of practical knowledge and limited access.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi pembelajaran IPA yang belum dikaitkan dengan identitas kebudayaan masyarakat di Banjarmasin. Belum adanya modul pembelajaran yang dapat menyesuaikan kondisi sekarang yaitu pandemi Covid-19 dan perkembangan teknologi berfungsi sebagai perantara antara materi pembelajaran dengan etnosains. Telah dilakukan penelitian pengembangan emodul IPA topik getaran, gelombang dan bunyi bermuatan etnosainss. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) validitas e-modul (2) kepraktisan emodul, (3) efektivitas e-modul (4) pencapaian karakter kayuh baimbai. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Educational Design Research (EDR), yaitu dengan eevaluasi formatif model Tessmer meliputi evaluasi diri, validasi ahli, uji coba perorangan, uji coba kelompok kecil, dan uji coba lapangan. Dilakukan uji validitas oleh 3 pakar pendidikan IPA dan 2 praktisi, subjek uji perorangan adalah 3 pesertadidik, subjek uji kelompok kecil adalah 10 peserta didik, dan subjek uji coba lapangan adalah 60 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) validitas modul yang dikembangkan berkategori valid, (2) kepraktisan e-modul berdasarkan angket respon siswa berkategori sangat praktis, (3) efektivitas modul bernilai efektif (4) pencapaian karakter kayuh baimbai berkategori baik. Diperoleh simpulan bahwa e-modul IPA topik getaran, gelombang dan bunyi bermuatan kebudayaan madihin layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan bertujuan menganalisis validitas isi instrumen penilaian untuk mengukur literasi sains peserta didik berdasarkan tujuan pembelajaran kurikulum merdeka pada jenjang SMP yang valid dan reliabel. Instrumen yang dikembangkan pada mata pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam (IPA) dalam materi energi kalor. Instrumen terdiri dari 30 butir soal pilihan ganda (PG) dengan indikator literasi sains. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan analisis dekskriptif dari perhitungan validitas isi intrumen penilaian menggunakan rumus V-Aiken dengan metode. Data validitas isi diperoleh dari 5 validator yang terdiri dari 3 dosen ahli yang bergelar doktor di bidang fisika dan instrumen serta 2 orang guru yang terdiri dari guru fisika SMA dan guru IPA di Kabupaten Tapin.Abstract. This research is development research aimed at analyzing the content validity of assessment instruments to measure students' scientific literacy based on valid and reliable Merdeka curriculum learning objectives at the junior high school level. Instruments developed in natural science (IPA) subjects in heat energy. The instrument consists of 30 multiple choice questions (PG) with scientific literacy indicators. This research method uses descriptive analysis from calculating the content validity of assessment instruments using the V-Aiken formula with the method. Content validity data was obtained from 5 validators consisting of 3 expert lecturers with doctoral degrees in physics and instruments and 2 teachers consisting of high school physics teachers and science teachers in Tapin Regency. Abstract

The impact of a STEM-based worksheet on the learning outcomes of 7th grade junior high school students in Martapura City, South Kalimantan, Indonesia, is investigated. The study describes the development and validation of a worksheet on the topic of energy in living systems with the objectives are to create a STEM-based worksheet and then applying it directly to 7th grade students in South Kalimantan. Direct observation was conducted as an evaluation to determine the effectiveness of the STEM approach on student learning outcomes using pre-test-post-test analysis. The results show aspect of “There is a table of contents and instructions for use that are easy to learn” has the highest percentage in the feasibility of components and content suitability of 93.3%, while in the language aspect, the highest percentage of 80.0% is in the use of appropriate and correct Physics terms and effective language and in accordance with the ability level of students. In the presentation aspect, the highest percentage of 86.7% is found in the coherent order of presentation and clear and detailed activity objectives, while in the graphic aspect, the highest percentage of 86.7% is found in the cover illustration that is attractive and illustrates the content/material in the worksheet. In contrast, the lowest percentage of 73.3% was found in several aspects, such as the suitability of worksheet content to the abilities and needs of students, the effectiveness of the language used, the presentation of problems and activities in accordance with the material, and graphical aspects such as an attractive general appearance, neat and consistent layout, clear illustrations/images, and attractive appearance design.
