Abstract

The aims of this study were: 1. Developt teaching materials for reading skills based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) 2. Measure the effectiveness of developing teaching materials for reading skills based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). This research is a research and development of the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. After the author designing teaching materials, conduct experiments, analyze all the data, the authors get a summary; 1) Teaching materials for reading skills were developed based on higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in the form of textbooks in accordance with the principle of learning based on higher order thinking skills, student desires, and analysis of student needs. The material is taken from the topic of actual and real problems and phenomena that occur in society. This material consists of ten topics that aim to enable students on obtaining inferential comprehension, evaluation, and appreciation. The product of this resource is the book text contents and methods considered good 76%, it means that the book is suitable for learning. 2) The teaching material is effective for improving speaking skills for students, it is based on the pretest and posttest results increased from an average of 66 % to an average of 81,5 % in posttest. This is supported by the results of questionnaires and interviews that most of the students had good grades and increased. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1. Mengembangkan bahan ajar keterampilan membaca berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) 2. Mengukur efektivitas pengembangan bahan ajar keterampilan membaca berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, angket, dan tes. Setelah penulis merancang bahan ajar, melakukan percobaan, menganalisis seluruh data, penulis mendapatkan ringkasan; 1) Bahan ajar keterampilan membaca dikembangkan berdasarkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) dalam bentuk buku teks sesuai dengan prinsip pembelajaran berdasarkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, keinginan siswa, dan analisis kebutuhan siswa. Materi diambil dari topik permasalahan dan fenomena aktual dan nyata yang terjadi di masyarakat. Materi ini terdiri dari sepuluh topik yang bertujuan agar siswa memperoleh pemahaman inferensial, evaluasi, dan apresiasi. Produk dari sumber ini adalah teks buku, isi dan metodenya dinilai baik 76%, artinya buku tersebut layak untuk dipelajari. 2) Bahan ajar efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa, hal ini berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest meningkat dari rata-rata 66% menjadi rata-rata 81,5% pada posttest. Hal ini didukung dengan hasil angket dan wawancara bahwa sebagian besar siswa mempunyai nilai baik dan meningkat.

Abstract

he purpose of this study is to analyze the negative impacts of gadget use on early adolescents. The presence of gadgets, particularly in the form of smartphones, has significantly contributed to daily life as a medium for information retrieval, interaction, entertainment, and even online business activities. The advancement of information and communication technology is increasingly benefiting society. Gadgets, as one of the products of this technology, have transformed human communication behavior by transcending space and time. A gadget is a small electronic device with specific functions, such as a smartphone. Essentially, this technology was created to make human life easier and more comfortable. However, the rapid technological advancements today have made it nearly impossible to find any area of human life untouched by their use, whether directly or indirectly. Along with globalization and the demand for rapid information exchange, negative impacts on early adolescents have emerged. These impacts include health issues, educational challenges, disruptions in social interaction, and even effects on family economics. Excessive gadget use among early adolescents can trigger harmful side effects such as an increased risk of depression, health problems, anxiety disorders, difficulty focusing, and other problematic behaviors. Gadget addiction can also hinder adolescents from socializing with their surroundings and increase the risk of loneliness. The role of parents is crucial in setting boundaries to prevent gadget addiction among children and mitigate these risks.

Abstract

Pembengkakan payudara jika tidak ditangani dengan segera dapat menimbulkan masalah baru yaitu mastitis dan bahkan abses payudara. Tujuan dilakukan riset ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan penurunan pembengkakan payudara ibu nifas menggunakan kombinasi perawatan payudara dan kompres aloe vera. Riset yang dilakukan menggunakan jenis quasi experimental dengan Intact-Group Comparison., dengan desain post-test with control group. Ibu bersalin sejumlah 45 orang adalah populasi untuk riset ini, dengan sampel 32 yang diambil dengan cara purposive sampling. Pada riset ini menggunakan uji man whitney karena data berdistribusi tidak normal. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini menggunakan SPES. Riset ini mengahasilkan adanya ada perbedaan pembengkakan payudara ibu nifas pada kelompok kombinasi perawatan payudara dan kompres aloe vera dengan pembengkakan payudara ibu nifas pada kelompok perawatan payudara, dengan nilai p value 0,002 < 0,05. Diharapkan kepada petugas kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pelayanan kesehatan ibu nifas terutama dalam masalah penatalaksanaan payudara bengkak pada ibu nifas dan dapat meningkatkan penyuluhan pada ibu nifas tentang kondisi fisik dan psikologi ibu nifas.

Abstract

Poverty remains a significant issue in Indonesia, particularly in Pamekasan. This study examines the role of productive zakat managed by LAZISMU Pamekasan in fostering economic independence among mustahik (zakat recipients). Unlike consumptive zakat, productive zakat provides capital and skill training, enabling recipients to develop sustainable livelihoods. A qualitative approach, including in-depth interviews and participatory observation with mustahik and zakat managers, was employed. The findings reveal that productive zakat effectively increases mustahik’s income, facilitates the establishment of new businesses, and creates job opportunities. Furthermore, the program empowers mustahik to manage their businesses independently, significantly reducing dependence on consumptive zakat. The results highlight the potential of productive zakat in promoting economic independence and alleviating poverty sustainably. This initiative can serve as a replicable model for zakat institutions aiming to enhance community welfare through sustainable economic development

Abstract

Fenomena bullying sudah mulai marak terjadi pada siswa sekolah dasar. Hal ini berdampak pada masalah kesehatan secara fisik maupun mental yang akan menghambat pada proses belajar siswa di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk perilaku verbal bullying, physical bullying dan bullying mental serta faktor penyebab perilaku bullying di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang menjelaskan dan menggambarkan bentuk perilaku bullying di SD N 1 Padokan Bantul. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 10 subjek terdiri dari 1 Guru kelas, 1 staf bidang kesiswaan, 4 pelaku bullying dan 4 korban bullying. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Model Miles and Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data dengan menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Bentuk perilaku verbal bullying meliputi mencela, mengejek, membentak, mengancam, memfitnah, dan mempermalukan teman di tempat umum. 2) Bentuk perilaku physical bullying meliputi menjambak rambut/jilbab, mendorong, memukul, menendang menampar, meludahi dan merusak barang milik temannya. 3) Bentuk perilaku bullying mental/psikologi meliputi mengabaikan, mengucilkan dan lirikan mata. 4) Faktor penyebab perilaku bullying meliputi keinginan berbuat jahil, bercanda, iseng, mencari perhatian, usil, merasa kuat, diejek, jengkel, tidak melakukan perintahnya, membalas perbuatan dan tidak menyukai sikap temannya. Implikasi dari temuan ini bahwa bullying bersifat multidimensi dengan bentuk dan motivasi yang beragam, dan menunjukkan pentingnya peran sekolah, guru, dan keluarga dalam mencegah dan menangani perilaku bullying. Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the effect of the lack of facilities and infrastructure on the learning process in schools in disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions in Indonesia using the literature review method. This method is carried out through the analysis of various literature such as scientific journals, books, policy documents, and relevant previous research reports. The results of the study show that limited facilities and infrastructure, such as inappropriate classrooms, lack of learning media, and limited access to technology, have a significant effect on the low quality of the learning process. Teachers experience obstacles in implementing varied learning methods, while students show decreased motivation and learning outcomes. This study emphasizes the importance of equitable distribution of educational facilities and policy synergy between agencies to support the improvement of the quality of education in the 3T area.

Abstract

This study focuses on the exploration of figurative language or literary devices in the poetry collection Manifesto Koplo by Aditya Ardi N. The aim of this research is to explore the figurative language used in the collection. The method employed is descriptive, with a stylistic approach. The data source consists of 20 poems selected from the 69 poems in Manifesto Koplo. The research procedure includes: (1) carefully reading and understanding the poems; (2) identifying and marking data within the poems used as the research source, supported by data collection instruments; (3) classifying the data that demonstrate the author’s figurative language according to the research focus; (4) analyzing and describing the data based on the research objectives; and (5) drawing conclusions regarding the figurative language found. The findings indicate that the use of language in the poetry collection reflects the author’s creativity, which is meticulous and detailed in every stanza. The uniqueness of the author is evident in the titles of the poems, which are all related to elements surrounding the dangdut koplo music community, such as the names of female singers, musicians, guitars, drummers, flutes, and so on. The 20 poems analyzed contain highly diverse and aesthetically pleasing figurative language that enhances the distinctive style and originality of the author’s thoughts. The figurative language employed in the collection includes simile, personification, hyperbole, metaphor, paradox, and parallelism. Among these, personification is the most dominant. Notably, two poems—Biduanita Ardila Putri and Jaran Goyang—each contain four types of figurative language simultaneously. This demonstrates the variety and richness of figurative expressions that the author utilizes to beautify the poems while reinforcing their uniqueness and originality.

Abstract

In addition to the main aspects of teacher competency, the study also emphasizes the importance of leadership and institutional support in the effective implementation of policies. The school leadership plays a crucial role in creating a conducive environment for professional development, fostering a culture of collaboration among teachers, and ensuring the implementation of competency-based assessments. It was found that the active involvement of the principal in monitoring and providing feedback to teachers significantly contributes to the continuous improvement of teaching practices. The study also highlights the importance of aligning teacher competency development with the school's educational goals and objectives. While some teachers have demonstrated significant improvement in their teaching methods and student engagement, others still require more support to fully integrate the competencies into their daily practices. The continuous professional development of teachers is therefore vital to ensure that the competencies are not only understood but also consistently applied in the classroom. Moreover, the study recognizes the critical role of community and parental involvement in enhancing the quality of education. Collaboration between the school, parents, and the local community can create a more supportive learning environment, ensuring that students receive the necessary resources and encouragement both at school and at home. In conclusion, the research suggests that while the implementation of teacher competency policies at SDN 2 Lubuk Seberuk has shown positive results, the process should be supported with more training opportunities, resource allocation, and consistent monitoring to overcome existing challenges.

Abstract

This research aims to provide empirical evidence of the impact of foreign entities on tax aggressiveness in Indonesia. The sample consists of non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2019, totaling 804 firm-years. The independent variables include foreign dominance represented by foreign share ownership, significant foreign share ownership, foreign commissioners, foreign directors, foreign CEOs, and foreign CFOs in these companies, while the dependent variable is tax aggressiveness. The results indicate that foreign ownership and significant foreign ownership do not have a significant influence on aggressive tax avoidance practices, contrary to previous research findings. However, another intriguing finding is that the composition of foreign commissioners and foreign directors has a significant impact on aggressive tax avoidance. The presence of foreign commissioners and directors appears to lead to increased compliance with tax regulations and a reduction in aggressive tax avoidance practices. This can be attributed to considerations of legal risk, reputation, and higher tax planning costs in the context of multinational corporations. These results provide valuable insights into the role of board composition in managing a company's tax practices. Overall, the findings contribute significantly to understanding the factors influencing aggressive tax avoidance practices in Indonesian companies, which can serve as a basis for more effective tax policies in the future. However, it is essential to note that this study has limitations and further research is needed to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics of tax practices in an ever-evolving business environment.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangakan bahan ajar IPAS berbasis kearifan lokal untuk mengetahui kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan bahan ajar IPAS berbasis kearifan lokal dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri Blekatuk, Pituruh, Purworejo dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas IV dengan jumlah 22 siswa. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai pada penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan presentase dan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan menghasilkan (1) bahan ajar IPAS berbasis kearifan lokal. (2) Kelayakan media bahan ajar diperoleh dari ahli media dengan presentase 91,07% dan ahli materi dengan presentase 98,33% dengan kategori sangat layak. (3) Hasil angket kepraktisan guru memperoleh presentase 92,87% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan angket kepraktisan siswa memperoleh presentase 93,18% dengan kategori sangat layak. (4) Kefektifan bahan ajar pada uji lapangan pada pretest memperoleh rata-rata presentase 62,27 meningkat pada rata-rata posttest menjadi 83,32, pada uji paired sampele t-test pada uji lapangan memperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailded) 0,000 < 0,05 hal ini menunjukan bahwa bahan ajar IPAS berbasis kearifan lokal efektif untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa.
