Abstract

The role of financial institutions is very much needed in the form of supporting the development of the oil palm agricultural sector. Banking is one of the agents of development. The main function of banking is as a financial intermediary institution. Therefore, banks are expected to be able to channel financing to the agricultural sector. However, in the distribution of credit or financing facilities, there are terms and elements of credit that must be fulfilled by farmers as prospective debtors at Bank Mandiri Syariah, after which a feasibility analysis will be carried out on prospective debtors. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of financing needs, income, collateral value, education, and length of farming on financing approval for oil palm farmers. The method of determining the sample was carried out by using a census, namely the entire debtor in which the farmers who applied for oil palm financing were sampled in this study as many as 61 people. In this study, it was processed using logistic regression analysis. The results showed the variables of financing needs and collateral have a significant effect on financing approval, while income, education and length of farming variables have no significant effect on financing approval. If the variables of financing needs, income, collateral, education and length of farming increases, the financing approval will increase/agree.Keywords: Palm oil; Farmers; Financing; Banking.

Abstract

Permintaan bawang merah akan terus meningkat seiring dengan kebutuhan masyarakat yang terus meningkat karena adanya pertambahan jumlah penduduk, berkembangnya industri produk olahan berbahan baku bawang merah. Kuantitas penawaran bawang merah tidak mampu memenuhi kuantitas permintaan yang dibutuhkan oleh konsumen sehingga dapat menyebabkan terjadinya kenaikan harga bawang merah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh harga bawang merah, jumlah penduduk, pendapatan per kapita terhadap permintaan bawang merah, menganalisis pengaruh harga bawang merah, luas panen, harga pupuk subsidi terhadap penawaran bawang merah, dan menganalisis pendapatan per kapita dan harga pupuk terhadap harga bawang merah. Metode analisis yang digunakan dengan persamaan simultan menggunakan data tahun 1989-2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara parsial harga bawang merah, jumlah penduduk berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap permintaan bawang merah. Harga pupuk subsidi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penawaran bawang merah. Sedangkan harga pupuk bersubsidi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap harga bawang merah di Provinsi Sumatera Utara.

Abstract

Keterlibatan wanita dalam dunia industri makanan halal bukanlah merupakan topik yang baru terutama di negara sedang membangun. Trend yang terlihat adalah keterlibatan ini semakin meningkat dengan berjalannya waktu. Bahkan para pembuat kebijakan, menyadari trend tersebut, telah menggunakan bidang usaha ini sebagai metode untuk membantu golongan miskin, termasuk ibu tunggal. Sejalan dengan terjadinya trend keterlibatan ushawan wanita dalam industri makanan halal, trend globalisasi dan liberalisasi perdagangan juga mempengaruhi industri ini. Pesatnya arus globalisasi memberikan pengaruh juga terhadap usahawan wanita. Walaupun di satu sisi globalisasi membuka banyak peluang perdagangan di pasaran global, namun juga menuntut kemampuan bersaing yang tinggi. Makalah ini mencoba menganalisis sejauh mana kemampuan usahawan wanita dalam mengelola usaha mereka untuk memenuhi tuntutan globalisasi. Makalah ini juga menguraikan hambatan-hambatan yang terpaksa dihadapi oleh wanita dalam usaha mereka untuk merebut peluang peluasan pasar yang ada, menghadapi persaingan denga usahawan lelaki maupun usahawan dari luar negeri. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode Studi Kasus Wanita dalam Industri Makanan Halal yang dilakukan terhadap 96 orang pengusaha wanita. Data-data diperoleh dengan mengajukan pertanyaan melalui kuisioner kepada responden da selanjutnya dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan deskriptif. Penelitian mendapati kebanyakan pengusaha makanan halal belum dapat mengisi sepenuhnya tuntutan-tuntutan yang diperlukan untuk berniaga dalam pasaran global. Pengusaha wanita mempunyai sikap dan persepsi yang positif, responden juga mempunyai kefahaman yang luas mengenai konsep globalisasi, AFTA dan e-dagang.Kata Kunci : wanita, industri makanan, halal, globalisasi

Abstract

PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) have achieved and increase the level of sales through the provision of best quality rubber accordance to International standards, provide good service and high satisfaction in maintaining and sustaining the consumer in order not to switch to other competitors. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The result show that product quality, quality of service and customer satisfaction has a positive coefficient sign. This means that the improvement of product quality, service quality and customer satisfaction will increase the level of sales.Kata Kunci: Product, Service, Satisfaction, Quality

Abstract

This research used descriptive and qualitative methods, with 3 samples of tempe entrepreneurs. The analytical tools are marketing channel analysis, marketing margin, marketing efficiency , and SWOT. The average age of producer is 35 years with an average education level is 12 years. The results of marketing channel analysis consist of II type, which is channel I from producer to retailer then the consumer. Channel II from the manufacturer directly to the consumer and is on the order of the highest efficiency. The producer performs all marketing functions except for the purchase function. While retailers only perform the functions of purchasing, sales, storage, financing, and market information. Price spread and share margin marketing agency on the channel I am the average price of producers per pack starting from Rp 800/100 gram and Rp 1,500/200 gram. Component manufacturer cost Rp 635.9/100 gram and Rp 981,8/200 gram. Production Margin Rp 164,1/100 gram and Rp 518,2/200 gram. Production profit margin ratio of 0.3/100 grams and 0.5/200 grams. The selling price of retailers for consumers is Rp 1,009,7/100 grams and Rp 2,009,7/200 grams. With marketing costs Rp 7.5/pack. A retail profit margin of Rp 202.1/100 gram and Rp 502,1/200 gram. Retail profit margin ratio of 31.5/100 grams and 78.3/200 grams. Components share the producer cost margin of 63%/100 grams and 48.9%/200 grams. It is also known that the largest total cost margin share is issued by retailers 0.7%/100 grams and 0.4%/200 grams. The retail profit margin is 20%/100 grams and 25%/200 grams. On channel II the marketing margin is Rp 0/pack. Average manufacturer price of Rp 800/100 gram and Rp 1,500/200 gram. Costs incurred by producers Rp 635.9/100 gram and Rp 981,8/200 gram. Profit margin ratio is 0.3/100 gram, profit margin ratio is 0.5/200 gram, producer margin share 100%, producer profit margin 16.2% / 100 gram and 25,8% / 200 gram. SWOT analysis of the internal-external matrix on tempe industry business is in quadrant I, then the marketing strategy applied in this quadrant is SO (Strength-Opportunities).Keywords: Marketing Strategy, Tempe, Sei Mencirim, SWOT

Abstract

Perubahan harga komoditas pangan merupakan penyumbang terbesar laju inflasi di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Inflasi di Provinsi Sumatera Utara mengalami perubahan naik turun. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh fluktuasi harga beras, cabai merah, minyak goreng, daging ayam ras, telur ayam ras dan jagung terhadap inflasi di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Model analisis yang digunakan adalah Vector Error Corection Model (VECM). Variabel yang digunakan adalah inflasi, harga beras, cabai merah, minyak goreng, daging ayam ras, telur ayam ras dan jagung. Data yang digunakan data sekunder mulai tahun 2013-2017 berupa data bulanan sehingga diperoleh data sebanyak 60 pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada jangka pendek, inflasi bulan sebelumnya berpengaruh positif terhadap inflasi bulan sekarang, pada jangka pendek dan jangka panjang, harga beras berpengaruh positif terhadap inflasi bulan sekarang, pada jangka panjang, harga daging ayam ras berpengaruh positif terhadap inflasi bulan sekarang, pada jangka panjang dan jangka pendek, harga cabai merah berpengaruh positif terhadap inflasi bulan sekarang, pada jangka panjang, harga minyak goreng berpengaruh positif terhadap inflasi bulan sekarang, pada jangka panjang harga telur ayam ras berpengaruh positif terhadap inflasi bulan sekarang, pada jangka pendek dan jangka panjang, harga jagung tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap inflasi bulan sekarang.

Abstract

Gajah Village is a horticultura supplier area which is occupied by farmers who use pesticide in their farming activities. The use of pesticide by farmers is important to be analyzed, because of the health risks due to the accumulation of pesticide that absorbed by the farmers’ body. This study was aimed to analyze the relationship between the years in farming with the level of cholin-esterase in blood among horticultural farmers in Simpang Empat District of Karo Regency in 2017. The method used in this research was Spearman's rho analysis. The number of sample was 75 farmers that show significant correlation in medium level between the years in farming with blood cholinesterase level. The correlation of those two variables has negative direction. It is advised that the cholinesterase examination could be conducted periodically by the community health centers, so that the farmers can monitor the toxic inside their bodies and can anticipate for the occurrence of higher poisoning.

Abstract

Horticulture is part of the agricultural sector which has received quite a lot of attention by the government to continue to be developed. Shallots are horticultural crops that are currently widely grown in Indonesia and have high economic value and demand. The development of shallot farming is basically aimed at increasing the productivity and welfare of farmers. However, shallot cultivation does not fully provide maximum benefits for farmers. This happens because of the risk in the implementation of onion farming. The risk factors that occur are production risk and shallot price risk. Production and price risks will reduce the income of shallot farming so that the household income of farmers decreases. Therefore, agricultural development through increasing productivity must be in line with the handling of the risks faced. The research area was determined purposively, namely in Liang Pematang Village, Sinembah Tanjung Muda Hulu District, Deli Serdang Regency, with the consideration that the area is one of the shallot production centers in Deli Serdang Regency. The sample in this study were farmers who were working on shallots in the research area. The samples taken were 30 shallot farmers. Farming risk level analysis using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). From the results of the study, it is known that the characteristics of shallot farmers are farmers of productive age and the dominant education is quite high at the high school level. Most farmers own more than 2,000 m2 of land, and have been farming for more than 10 years and the land used is their own land. The risks faced in shallot farming based on severity from the highest to the lowest are the selling price of shallots, fertilizer prices, weather conditions, Pest attacks, availability of seeds, diseases and labor.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategy for developing beef cattle business after looking at the weaknesses, strengths, opportunities and threats that occur in Hinai District and Besitang District, Langkat Regency. This research was conducted in Hinai district and Besitang district, Langkat Regency in April-June 2022 with a total of 60 respondents. Analysis of the data used is using multiple linear analysis and the development strategy used is SWOT analysis. The results of the study note that the strategy obtained is the S-O Strategy, which is a strategy that uses internal strengths to take advantage of external opportunities, where internal strengths will take advantage of external events as follows: a. Utilization of good stables, human resources and experience of farmers to take advantage of the good natural and climatic conditions in Langkat to meet the high demand for buying cattle. b. Utilizing the experience of farmers and human resources in the use of AI technology, in meeting the high demand for cattle purchases.
