Describe the feasibility of the developed  e-module; and 3.) Reveal the effectiveness of the developed e-module in increasing student learning independence and learning achievement. This research is development research, which was carried out on grade XII students of Fashion, State Vocational High School 3 Magelang. The product trial consisted of a validity test by three experts, a small-scale trial involving 12 students, a large-scale trial involving 24 students, and an effectiveness test involving one control and one experimental group each consisting of 36 students. The data were collected using questionnaires and tests as well as through interviews. The data analysis used is a quantitative description and the effectiveness testing using the t-test. The results of the study are as follows: 1.) The developed e-module contains learning materials about making the Hosanna Moda system bustier illustrated with relevant pictures to make it easier for students to understand it when studying independently; 2.) The product has been declared feasible by a material expert, media expert, and linguist. In the operational trial, teacher responses are with an average score of 5.00 (very good category and suitable for use), and student responses are with an average score of 4.59 (very good category and suitable for use); and 3.) The results of the effectiveness testing on student learning independence is at the significance level of 0.000 (<0.050) indicating that the learning independence of experimental group students was higher than that of the control group, while the results of the effectiveness test on student learning achievement are at the significance level of 0.001 (<0.050) indicating an average value. The posttest average score of the experimental group was much higher than that of the control group. Thus, it can be concluded that the developed e-module is effective in increasing student learning independence and learning achievement.

Abstract

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is established by UNESCO and ILO as education and training beneficial for the community. The community will be able to develop when they can use their leadership skill properly. This is what makes adult vocational education very important in building the nation. One example of the role of adult vocational education is reducing unemployment through a heutagogy approach. The heutagogy approach centered on individual participants, where the individual has full autonomy in creating their learning. The heutagogy approach is also helpful for developing an individual's self-capacity and vocational self-concept. The individual vocational self-concept through the heutagogy approach can help students, graduates, alumni, and the community develop skills (re-skills, up-skills) and prepare to enter the world of work. The skill development can be done by forming (re-establishing) the individual's vocational self-concept. In the development of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0, the role of self-concept with a heutagogy approach in advanced adult education is to build vocational self-concepts so that they can be independent in learning, prepare work skills and utilize technology well as lifelong learning, and make an individual as a digital transformation society. Besides that, the heutagogy approach has a triple-loop learning process that aims to make the right decision on the learning power of vocational self-concept. With the preparation of work skills, the self-concept of vocational maturity means that the higher the self-concept, the higher the maturity in the industrial era 4.0 career and Society 5.0 or with the existence of vocational self-concept in the future can make mature decisions.

Abstract

The transformation of education in Indonesia is influenced by the development of digital technology. Over time, the world of education in Indonesia is able to transform to keep up with developments in the digital era. One form of transformation is learning through virtual reality media. This research aims to explore the impact of virtual reality transformation on learning heavy equipment engineering. The research methods used in this research are case studies and literature. A quantitative approach through quasi-experimental research with a post-test only control group design, was also used to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of virtual reality on learning outcomes. The data obtained was analysed using descriptive methods, qualitative data was analysed using qualitative descriptive, and quantitative data was analysed using quantitative descriptive. The results of the analysis show that learning transformation is needed so that it can be carried out properly in accordance with various environmental conditions. The use of virtual reality in learning heavy equipment engineering encourages digital learning transformation to improve the quality of learning through simulation of practical learning. The use of virtual reality in learning heavy equipment engineering can improve student understanding, although virtual reality transformation cannot fully replace the role of conventional learning because there are some competencies that must be taught directly. Although this research is exploratory, the empirical insights gained can make a valuable contribution as a reference for the development of virtual reality-based learning.

Abstract

This study examined whether mobile microlearning that enabled repeated access to short, SOP-anchored instructional videos improved vocational skill retention compared with conventional practice instruction. A quasi-experimental pretest–posttest–delayed posttest design was implemented with 80 undergraduate students in a practice-based course (experimental n = 40; control n = 40). The experimental group learned through segmented microlearning videos (2–6 minutes) aligned with procedural steps, safety checkpoints, and quality criteria, accessible via mobile devices for rewatching before and after workshop practice. The control group received conventional instruction through instructor demonstration and job-sheet guidance without structured video re-access. Data were collected using a validated SOP-aligned practical performance rubric, a procedural knowledge test, and an observation sheet documenting procedural errors and task completion time; perceived cognitive load was measured using a brief rating scale. Content validity was established through expert judgment and instrument refinement, and reliability was supported through inter-rater agreement for performance scoring and internal consistency for test and scale measures. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Shapiro–Wilk normality tests, Levene’s homogeneity tests, and independent-samples t-tests to compare groups at pretest (baseline equivalence), posttest (immediate outcomes), and delayed posttest (retention outcomes). The results indicated that the experimental group achieved significantly higher delayed practical performance and procedural knowledge than the control group, with fewer procedural errors and faster completion time. These findings suggest that rewatchable SOP-based mobile microlearning can strengthen durable procedural competence in vocational practice settings. This study contributes empirical evidence to vocational education literature by demonstrating that structured, rewatchable SOP-based microlearning enhances durable procedural competence.
