Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of off-the-job training in enhancing leadership competence in the field of education through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The study adopts the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) framework to screen and analyze literature sourced from three major databases: Web of Science, SCOPUS, and ERIC, with a publication range limited to the years 2015–2025. Out of 439 identified articles, a total of 40 studies were selected based on inclusion criteria, which included document type, thematic focus, and relevance to educational leadership. The data analysis process was conducted using a thematic approach to categorize relevant findings and identify key patterns in the contributions of training. The results indicate that off-the-job training significantly contributes to improving leadership skills by developing educators’ emotional, strategic, and professional competencies. The training is also proven effective in fostering transformational leadership, strengthening teaching practices, and enhancing professional collaboration within educational environments. This study recommends the implementation of continuous and institutionally tailored training programs as a strategic approach to optimize the impact of off-the-job training on the improvement of educational leadership quality in the future

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to introduce the English pronunciation method through the use of phonetic sound symbols known as the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). The target of the activity was students of the Medical Laboratory Technology Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan. The main focus of the activity was to convey that the differences between spelling and pronunciation in English can be bridged with a consistent mastery of phonetic symbols. The methods used include counseling on sound variations in English words as well as short training with pronunciation drilling techniques on words that have foreign sounds for Indonesian speakers. This activity is designed to improve participants' phonological awareness and pronunciation skills in a practical and fun way. The results of the evaluation showed that participants gave very positive responses, assessing this activity as a rewarding and engaging experience. This activity is expected to be an educational model in strengthening English phonetic competence, especially for non-language students. In the future, this phonetic approach can be further developed in profession-based foreign language learning curricula to improve the accuracy of cross-cultural and professional communication.

Abstract

Tingginya angka penularan HIV dan penyakit lain yang ditularkan melalui darah pada kalangan penasun meningkatkan pentingnya kebutuhan untuk melakukan upaya khusus dalam pencegahan dan penanggulangan HIV/AIDS. Untuk mengurangi dampak buruk narkoba (harm reduction) yang ditujukan pada penasun adalah terapi rumatan metadon (TRM). Namun pada kenyataannya walaupun penasun telah menjalani terapi ini tidak semua perilaku para penasun menunjukkan perilaku yang positif dan angka drop-out  pada layanan ini cukup tinggi. Menurut Green (1980), perilaku seseorang dipengaruhi beberapa faktor antara lain karakteristik seseorang. Sehingga ada kemungkinan bahwa perilaku penasun tersebut juga dapat disebabkan oleh karakteristik mereka. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi apakah ada pengaruh karakteristik terhadapa perilaku peserta terapi rumatan metadon (TRM) di Klinik Rumatan Metadon di Puskesmas Manahan Surakarta. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik responden yang meliputi umur, jenis kelamin, pendidikan, pekerjaan  dan status HIV/AIDS tidak mempengaruhi drop out pada peserta terapi rumatan metadon (TRM).

Abstract

Kualitas pelayanan kesehatan merupakan implementasi dari standar pelayanan kesehatan. Indikator keberhasilan pelayanan kesehatan adalah kepuasan pasien. Konsep mutu pelayanan yang berkaitan kepuasan pasien ditentukan oleh responsiveness, assurance, tangible, empathy dan reliability. Dari hasil laporan RSUD Batara Guru Belopa Kabupaten Luwu tercatat pasien yang berkunjung pada tahun 2019 sebanyak 8946 orang dan tahun 2020 periode Januari-Mei sebanyak 3316 orang. Berdasarkan survey awal di Poli saraf RSUD Batara Guru Belopa mengalami penurunan jumlah kunjungan pasien, ini disebabkan karena adanya keluhan pasien yang didapatkan dari bukti laporan keluhan pasien dari hasil observasi peneliti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan dengan tingkat kepuasan pasien di Poli saraf RSUD Batara Guru Belopa Kabupaten Luwu tahun 2020. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien yang berkunjung di Poli saraf pada tanggal 26 Agustus sampai 05 September 2020, penarikan sampel total sampling dengan jumlah sebanyak 51 sampel. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa ada hubungan antara reability, assurance, empathy, tangible dan responsiveness dengan tingkat kepuasan pasien Rawat rawat jalan di Polik saraf RSUD Batara Guru Belopa Kabupaten Luwu tahun 2020 dengan nilai ρ = 0,000 ≤ nilai α = 0,05.

Abstract

The effectiveness of health interventions is determined by multiple factors, such as leadership, participation, and environmental support. This study analyzes the determinants and most influential factors contributing to the success of health interventions. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional analytical design was employed, involving 194 respondents selected through proportional random sampling in Lepo-Lepo (Southeast Sulawesi Province). Data analysis utilized the chi-square test and logistic regression. The findings indicate that leadership capacity (p=0.021; OR=2.130), participation (p=0.000; OR=3.640), communication skills (p=0.000; OR=8.016), support in decision making (p=0.000; OR=4.800), access to health facilities (p=0.000; OR=4.759), local culture and norms (p=0.012; OR=2.231), transformational leadership style (p=0.000; OR=15.171), and servant leadership style (p=0.011; OR=2.231) significantly affect the success of health interventions. In contrast, community credibility and trust (p=0.869) and regional policies (p=0.843) do not demonstrate a significant effect. The most dominant factor was transformational leadership style, with an OR of 12.409, meaning leaders with a transformational style were more than 12 times more likely to achieve intervention success than leaders who did not. These results confirm that leadership quality and participatory support, particularly transformational leadership style and effective communication skills, are critical to the success of health interventions. One of the implications of the results of this study for public health is that they emphasize that effective interventions require leaders capable of inspiring and facilitating transformational change, not just managing technical matters, and communication is a core skill that must be developed at every level of health management, particularly given its role in strengthening community compliance and trust. Keywords: Health Interventions, Leadership, Participation, Communication, Transformational Leadership.

Abstract

Soil-Transmitted Helminth (STH) is an intestinal nematode worm that infects humans by ingesting its eggs via the fecal-oral route. Soil-Transmitted Helminths (STH) infection is the most common cause of helminthiasis in the world and commonly infects humans, such as species of roundworms (Ascaris lumbricoides), hookworms (Necator americanus and Ancylostoma duodenale), and whipworms (Trichuris trichiura). Indonesia is a developing country that has various risk factors to cause STH infection. The prevalence of STH in Indonesia in general, is still very high at 76.67%, especially in the poor population who have a high risk of contracting this disease, 60% -80% of elementary school children (SD) suffer from worms. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of STH worm eggs and the percentage in the nails of garbage scavengers at TPA Basirih Banjarmasin. This study used a qualitative descriptive research design. The sampling technique used accidental sampling technique with the number of samples taken, namely 39 samples. The results of the study were 2 samples (5%) of garbage scavengers' nails that were positively contaminated with STH eggs of the type Ascaris lumbricoides and 37 samples (95%) negative of STH eggs. This is because respondents are quite good at maintaining personal hygiene at work.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. These bacteria are transmitted from human to human through the air. Anti Tuberculosis Drug is the main strategy for controlling TB casses and lessening the chain of transmission. This study aims to determine the lymphocyte count of pulmonary tuberculosis patients who received Anti Tuberculosis Drug. This research used descriptive quantitative method with 23 respondents using venous blood as sample. Based on the results, the amount of respondent with normal lymphocytes were 21 respondents (91.3%), lymphopenia were 2 respondents (8.7%) and none had lymphocytosis (0%). For the results of lymphocytes count based on gender, 1 respondent (4.4%) had lymphopenia and 10 respondents (43.4%) were normal for the male, while for the female, 1 respondent (4.4%) had lymphopenia and 11 respondents (47.8%) were normal. Lymphocyte count results based on age, for productive age, 2 respondents (8.7%) had lymphopenia and 21 respondents (91.7%) were normal. The results of lymphocytes count based on the length of treatment, the intensive phase obtained 2 respondents (8.6%) with lymphopenia and 4 respondents (17.4%) were normal, for the continuation phase 17 respondents (74%) were normal.

Abstract

Pembelajaran konsep sudut di sekolah dasar kerap terkendala karena sifatnya abstrak dan menuntut kemampuan visualisasi serta pemahaman spasial. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis proses didaktisasi materi sudut melalui media jam sebagai objek budaya yang familiar bagi siswa, serta mengidentifikasi tahapan didaktisasi (kulturalisasi, institusionalisasi, personalisasi) dan bentuk scaffolding yang mendukung internalisasi konsep. Metode yang digunakan adalah Didactical Design Research (DDR) dengan pendekatan kualitatif pada 28 siswa kelas V SDN 021 Tarai Bangun (usia 10–11 tahun) yang dipilih secara purposif berdasarkan heterogenitas kemampuan matematika. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan guru dan siswa, dokumentasi aktivitas, serta tes pemahaman sudut yang divalidasi; keabsahan data dijaga melalui triangulasi, member checking, dan peer debriefing. Analisis tematik digunakan untuk memetakan pola didaktisasi dan transformasi pengetahuan dari scholarly knowledge menjadi taught knowledge. Hasil menunjukkan pembelajaran konvensional yang berpusat pada guru menciptakan kesenjangan antara konsep formal dan pemahaman siswa. Implementasi media jam memfasilitasi scaffolding visual, konseptual, dan prosedural melalui aktivitas memutar jarum, mengamati perubahan besar sudut, serta memverbalisasi terminologi sudut dengan bahasa sehari-hari. Siswa menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan mengidentifikasi jenis sudut, mengukur besar sudut, dan menerapkan konsep pada situasi kehidupan. Pola didaktisasi yang muncul meliputi simplifikasi konseptual, kontekstualisasi melalui contoh jam, dan gradualisasi tugas dari identifikasi sudut menuju pemecahan masalah. Proses decontextualization–recontextualization memperlihatkan siswa mampu menggeneralisasi konsep sudut dari jam ke objek geometri lain secara lisan dan tertulis. Temuan menegaskan media jam efektif sebagai alat mediasi untuk membangun pemahaman konseptual yang bermakna dan mendukung transfer of learning, serta memberi panduan desain pembelajaran geometri yang kontekstual di sekolah dasar
