Abstract

Mount Singgalang is a volcano that has erupted after 1600. Several types of volcanic rocks found around the Mount Singgalang area are Basalt, Andesite, Tuff Breccia, Lava Breccia, and Pumice tuff. Where, andesite and tuff pumice Mount Singgalang originated from the maninjau eruption. Pumice has several minerals, namely cristobalite, feldspar, quartz, obsidian, cristobalite, and tridymite. Pumice has one of the magnetic minerals, namely hematite (Fe2O3), but it is not known how much magnetic mineral content in it. This study aims to determine the abundance of magnetic minerals (magnetic susceptibility) in pumice around Mount Singgalang, West Sumatra. The method used is the rock magnetism method, where this method can investigate the magnetic properties of a material. The instrument used is the Bartington Magnetic Susceptibility Meter. The magnetic susceptibility value of Pumice (Pumice) in the area around Mount Singgalang, West Sumatra, where is the abundance of magnetic minerals in Pumice Rock TDK 20-02 > TDK 20-03 > TDK 20-10. The TDK 20-02 sample has a lot of superparamagnetic grains due to its low susceptibility value and high-Frequency Dependent Susceptibility, while the TDK 20-10 sample has little or almost no superparamagnetic grains due to the high susceptibility value and low-Frequency Dependent Susceptibility.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between SiO₂ composition and magnetic properties of Lampung Tuff from Hatta Bekauheni using an integrated approach combining rock magnetism and portable geochemical analysis. Magnetic susceptibility measurements were conducted using a Bartington MS2B sensor at low and high frequencies to determine χlf and χfd (%), while elemental composition was analyzed using Portable X-Ray Fluorescence (Portable XRF). The results indicate that all samples exhibit ferrimagnetic behavior, reflecting the presence of magnetic minerals such as magnetite or titanomagnetite with varying concentrations and grain sizes. The χfd (%) values suggest a mixture of superparamagnetic and coarser grains, indicating heterogeneous depositional and post-depositional processes. SiO₂ content varies among samples, representing local geochemical differentiation of volcanic material. However, regression analysis shows a very weak correlation between SiO₂ and magnetic parameters, as indicated by low coefficients of determination. These findings demonstrate that magnetic properties are primarily controlled by mineralogical factors rather than silica composition. The integration of magnetic susceptibility and Portable XRF provides an efficient, non-destructive framework for comprehensive volcanic material characterization.

Abstract

Abstract

Even though the concept of physics is very important in daily activities, the cave exploration activities (caver and or cave tourists) are not based on of physics concepts. In addition, the teachers do not realize that through caves and it exploration activities can be used to learn the physics concepts. This research aims to study the physics concepts in caving activities where it used to develop of physics edupark digital books for senior high school students. This is preliminary research that part of research and development method by using the Plomp model where the study consists of teacher, student, and material potential analysis. This study has been resulting that many concepts while cave exploration activities. It can be used to lean the physics concepts then developing an Edupark physics digital enrichment book as a demand of the Merdeka’s Curriculum. The learning activities growth from the abilities of students who emphasize contextual learning where the students building meaningful understanding through learning and optimizing technology in learning

Abstract

The implementation of the Edupark physics e-book uses a scientific approach to improve environmental literacy skills in accordance with the learning that is expected to be developed to face the industrial revolution 4.0. This research aims to see and analyze eduparks at beach tourist After analysis, this Edupark e attractions and the relationship between physical materials and these tourist attractions. -book can be developed. The results of this study are printed books are still dominantly used in schools, and there is still a lack of use of non-printed books; The average results of students' knowledge and skills are still low, Teaching materials integrated with Edupark at tourist attractions are still rarely used, the effectiveness of using a scientific approach. The conclusion from the results of this research is that there is a need to develop an integrated physics education e-book in tourist destinations.

Abstract

The implementation of digital technology has had a significant positive impact on education by expanding access to learning, allowing students to learn anytime and anywhere digitally. This study aims to observe and analyze the edupark at the Bukit Langkisau tourist attraction and the relationship between physics materials and the tourist attraction. After the analysis, this Edupark e-book can be developed. The results of this study indicate that printed books are still predominantly used in schools, and the use of non-printed books is still lacking; the average results of student knowledge and skills are still low; learning materials integrated with Edupark at tourist attractions are still rarely used; and have not been able to improve students' digital literacy. The conclusion of this study is the need to develop an integrated physics education e-book at tourist destinations. The Bukik Langkisau tourist attraction has the potential to be used as an educational park for learning, but has not been optimally implemented due to difficult access to the tourist location. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop an integrated physics education park e-book at the Bukit Langkisau tourist attraction.
